On the Grid : Roux on Canton

"Southern comfort food with a cajun twist, an on-point craft beer selection, and frequent live music. This is Roux on Canton. An inviting spot for lunch, dinner, or late nights, Roux's atmosphere and fare will not disappoint. We're big fans of the fish tacos (duh!), shrimp and grits, and Zack's burger. Join Roux for its monthly craft beer tastings (first Tuesdays of the month), Sunday oyster happy hours (3-6pm), and weekend brunch specials (chicken and beignets 👌)." - Nimble. Design Co.

Best Restaurants in Roswell, Georgia | Eater Atlanta

"For Creole cuisine on Canton Street, look no further than this small but flavorful eatery. Follow the sounds of live music to the bright red “Roux” sign and pull up a chair to dig into Southern staples with a bayou twist. Gumbo, po’ boys, jambalaya, and shrimp and grits are all on the menu here, as are more internationally focused plates like chargrilled skirt steak with chimichurri. No matter what you order for your main course, be sure to start your meal with oysters on the half shell (enjoy $1 oysters every Sunday) and one of Roux’s creative cocktails like the very Southern Old Roswell — a blend of whiskey, peach bitters, and simple syrup garnished with an orange peel." - Sarah Bisacca

19 Essential French Restaurants Around Atlanta

"Perched at the entrance to Roswell’s ever-popular Canton Street, this unassuming brick building boasts a French-inspired market on its ground floor selling handicrafts, cheeses, coffee, and pastries. But for the main event, you’ll want to head upstairs. Here, you’ll find a cozy low-lit space adorned with mismatched seating and small bistro tables where you can savor French wines and charcuterie among vintage surroundings. Weekend brunch of crepes and croque-monsieur can be enjoyed on a breezy terrace overlooking pedestrian traffic and live music adds to the venue’s moody wine bar vibe on Saturday nights." - Sarah Bisacca

On the Grid : The Peach and the Porkchop

"The Peach and the Porkchop is an upscale Southern meets Northern-inspired restaurant in East Roswell. What does that mean? A good mix of entrees with roots and sandwiches with soul. It works. And can we talk about this decor? But the real thing that drew us to investigating and including The Peach and the Porkchop in our OTG collection ... boozy milkshakes. Unfortunately the Nimble. team consumed these before snapping a proper photo, but the JD shake (Jack & Honey Ice Cream with Jack Daniels)... ????." - Nimble. Design Co.

Google
Really enjoyed their salmon entree and the dip appetizer (not pictured). Food was good. Had a very tavern like atmosphere. Although it was a small restaurant they were able to seat our group of six comfortably. Also despite the power outages from the weather, they were able to get our food out fast.

Google
Roux has such a down-to-earth vibe that resonates in the wonderfully prompt service, great-tasting food, and perfectly situated location in the middle of Canton St. Coming here with big appetites after a long summer day, we left feeling satisfied by the portion sizes and quality of the food. The curly fries were absolutely spectacular and were my favorite part of the meal. The Sweet Potato Tacos were also great and were even further enhanced by the perfectly spicy green salsa / crema they provided. Would totally recommend coming to this restaurant when visiting Roswell’s Food & Dining District; the fare here easily matches the high calibre of the local area’s rustic-yet-refined aesthetic!

Google
Great food, atmosphere, and drinks! A fun lively spot that feels like a local bar but is still open and airy. Come out and have a good time! It's a little loud so be prepared for that. Other than that it's great with all the walking traffic to people watch you could want too!

Google
Had the lobster roll. Was expecting it to be hot, but it was cold, but tasty. The shrimp poboy was good as well as the fries. The service was great and the drinks strong! Great place to hang out.

We’ve been to Roux, and pretty much every Canton St restaurant many times over the 14 years we’ve lived in Roswell. It may have been a year or two since we last tired Roux. Last nights meal was exceptional. Service was perfect. The menu seemed new and expanded since we last dined here. The salmon dish was fantastic. The steak Chimichurri was possibly one of the best steak dishes I’ve ever had, and I eat a lot of steak. So tender, so flavorful, craving it again the next day.

Google
Food was pretty good, we went for $1 oysters on Sunday. Parking is such a hassle on this street though, but that isn't the restaurant's fault. Wish the waiter would have been more attentive to us, especially at the beginning of our visit-- that's the only thing I would advise. Other than that the service was pleasant despite it being hard to track the waiter down.

Fredrick Robitzsch

Google
Food was great. Brussel sprouts undercooked and greasy. Couldn’t finish them. Fries and steak. Amazing.

Google
Jonathan is the man! Took my mom and dad out to eat tonite and had a truly special evening. Jonathan was quite the waiter. Got my dad started off with some exquisite Manhattan and old fashioned’s, mom ordered the jumbo shrimp and oysters Rockefeller and we got several fresh dozens of ice cold delicious oysters!!! Be sure to buy a couple bottles of their hot sauce to go! So good!

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner here today. We were a large party, but we got seated right away. Our server was the best. Annalise, was so incredibly attentive!! Our food was delicious, everyone was happy with their choice of food. Annalise took it over the top. She was constantly asking if we needed anything, answered questions about the menu, made recommendations. So awesome! We will be back!

Yelp
The food was good except they left off a side & the girl on the phone was condescending and also did not include the sales tax with the refund. I would give a 4.5 for the food and a 1 for service.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner. The restaurant was clean and our server was very friendly. I ordered the shrimp and grits while my wife ordered the shrimp Po Boy. While the food was good, we've had better Cajun. My shrimp and grits had a lot of bell peppers on the top which I'm not use to. My wife liked her Po boy but thought it could use a few more shrimp. Is this restaurant worth a visit? A definite yes.

Yelp
This place is my absolute fav!! We came here for a drink and $1 oyster happy hour about 4 months ago.....now this is our place. My daughters and husband love the burgers, oh wait the bread and mussels are to die for!! All the wait staff is great but Devin is my favorite. If you are trying to decide between Roux on Canton or 1920 Tavern.........DO NOT GO TO 1920!!! I repeat DO NOT GO TO 1920!! Roux on Canton has great food trust me!! Thanks guys

Yelp
Coming to Roswell is always a wonderful occasion for us. Roux is one of many we had not tried and were welcome they had a seat for us without reservations. We started out with a couple of IPA, and they have some good selections on tap. Also started out with some oysters, which was another sort of seasonal item I had not had all summer. Yummy. Our host was awesome! For dinner I enjoyed the jambalaya for the second time in Roswell, and it was just what I needed. If you didn't have a reservation, then you aren't settling when you come to Roux.

Yelp
Cute little place in Historic Roswell. They have indoor and limited outdoor seating and a good size bar. All the outdoor seating was taken so we sat inside at a highboy table. I'm a pescatarian and they have a good amount of seafood options. The waitress said the bean burger was made in house so I decided to give it a try. It was a pretty good choice but if I return I will try the fish. The fries were good (yes you can mess up fries). The margarita was amazinggg, which was expected because half the restaurant seemed to be the bar! Service was good- the waitress was very attentive!

Yelp
Food is amazing and very well priced. The waitstaff aren't that great though. Nice front patio with street view.

Yelp
We came here for a good meal and we definitely got one!! They even had trivia night which was fun! We started with an appetizers of hush puppies. They were pretty standard. Our meals were certainly above standard though. I ordered the skirt steak with roasted sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious. I was extremely impressed!! My husband ordered the shrimp po boy with sweet potato fries which he really enjoyed. In fact, everyone at our table loved their meal. For dessert, we ordered the beignets which were huge and hot!! I would highly recommend this restaurant and you can even make a reservation for faster seating. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
We happened upon this place when looking for a trip in town to meet up with family including a toddler. Had no idea what to expect but saw the $1 oysters on Sundays and that's all we needed to see! But seeing they cook their beef in tallow was a superb point as well! We had a chef in tow with us who also critiqued the food. Appetizers: chargrilled oysters. Not a hit. Wouldn't order again. 3 for 12 and they lacked flavor or punch. Just "aight". A dozen Raw Oysters... we ended up ordering 2 dozen they were DELICIOUS and fat! So good! Meals: Deviled Eggs very good. Simple eggs. Gumbo: FIRE SO GOOD IT WAS PASSED AROUND THE TABLE! Shrimp and grits: he's a shrimp and grits addict and is a tough critic and these were AMAZING! FULL of flavor! Lobster roll: she devoured it so fast we couldn't even ask about it Fried green tomatoes: again good and passed around the table. The pimento cheese is heavy so make sure you're a fan of that. Steak sandwich: very very good! I would order this again. Bread was perfectly toasted, steak perfectly done in little bites, right amount of cheese to beef and peppers and onions. Solid steak sandwich. Came with curly fries which were PHENOMENAL. We also had the beignets for desert and they are HUGE! Be ready for POUNDS OF powdered sugar on top. They were very good but are missing a dipping sauce which would definitely take them next level and being ordered at every table. Carmel sauce or chocolate sauce would be perfection. We had a great experience. Low lighting, casual place, everyone was comfortable and it's in a beautiful little location with lots of other options to the sides of it. The food was a hit and we will go back when we are in town.

Yelp
Great food, good beer and nice ambiance. This was our first time at Roux and we had a really good time. The Po Boy was really nice especially with their Rouxinator. The curly fries were fresh and not too oily. My husband ordered a Roux Blue and enjoyed it minus the lettuce. The veggies had good garlic flavor.

Yelp
The food was good. We sat at the bar. The grouper was perfectly cooked. Parking is paid on the street. The deviled eggs were a great way to start the meal and the pimento cheese fritters. I really like the pita chips as well.

Yelp
Excellent apps and drinks. Can't wait to go back. Chargrilled oysters and the Hurrouxcane are a must! The outdoor dining is preferred.

Yelp
I finally got the chance to walk down to Roux! We decided to take advantage of their daily Happy Hour at went at 4pm. We enjoyed the $1 each Oysters and the fried Grouper Fingers at their outside tables. Both were great paired with a yummy Sauvignon blanc. Loved their outside seating. The waitress was so nice and very attentive. So glad we finally got the chance to stop by. I can't wait to come back and try some other things.

Yelp
The food was awesome! I got the steak skewers with sweet potato and Brussel sprouts. Let me tell you it tasted incredible! The chips with the cheese dip was also incredible. Our server was so nice and engaging. She really made the place feel welcoming. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very in theme with the time of year. The Halloween decorations were cool, my daughter made a game out of trying to count all the fake spiders. It was a good time overall, I 100% recommend trying this place out. You won't be disappointed

Chutybuty S.

Yelp
Food was too expensive for the quality and hardly any place to sit. This place has potential however the owner has no vision for it.

Yelp
The outdoor patio is adorable and decorated for the holidays, but we sat inside because it was a colder night. The inside is welcoming, casual and unassuming - jeans or cute outfit appropriate. Our server, Isabelle, was an absolute gem. She was super patient with my GF questions, offered to double check everything for me (and did), informed me that bread is cooked on the same surface as the shrimp I ordered in case I had celiac and didn't bat an eye when I asked if she would ask the chef to cook my shrimp "well done". The shrimp and grits were flavorful, a decent sized portion, had just the right amount of cream (not too heavy like some places), were topped with thinly sliced char grilled onions and bell peppers and instead of having andouille or another type sausage, I think the pork flavor came from small bites of bacon. I had their version of a NOLA hurricane so I can't be 100% sure. It packed a punch and was fruity without tasting like processed sugar. BTW - the shrimp and grits did not have any tomato sauce in them (I like them both ways) and I did enjoy Roux's different take on seasoning them with the char grilled veggies that easily blended into the grits to have with each bite. We went early - maybe 6:00 and while the bar was full, the tables were empty. By the time we left an hour later, the tables were full. I appreciate that Isabelle split our check in half and my receipt came with pre-calculated tipping options and, of course, a space for a "custom tip". I practice brutal honesty so I will include that while our table looked clean and was set with silverware, the top of the table was a little sticky on my side. I didn't bother mentioning it to Isabelle because I hadn't seen my friend in 5 months and was too busy talking. I know if I said something it would have taken care of it right away. I did notice daily drink specials on a chalk board by the bar. Roux seems like the kind of place I could go to on my own and feel comfortable. Thanks for the good meal and excellent service, Isabelle!!!

Yelp
We walked in mid-afternoon on a Sunday to grab a quick drink. We decided to get food and its a good thing we did. We weren't there to eat, but each got soup - chicken tortilla and gumbo. Great portions for cups of soups, great flavors, filled us up. it was perfect. Service was cheerful and attentive. Atmosphere was upbeat, a good afternoon crowd. And they had the basketball game on. Really good experience, will return & recommend!

Yelp
Came to Roux on Canton around 5:30 on a Saturday. Jonathan was our server and he was great. Fast, attentive, informative and polite. We ordered two drinks; flower child and the margarita, an appetizer; fried jalapeños and pickles, two entrees; the big chicken and the gumbo. All dishes were very fresh and delicious. The drinks were also good and strong, we only needed one. The establishment is small on the inside but it also has outside seating. Clean, well kept with a vintage vibe. Would definitely come back!

M D.

Yelp
Come for the food and drinks. Stay for the vibes. The only place I've found in ATL with Shiner Bock ON TAP.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Roux on Canton Street in Historic Roswell. We decided to celebrate a family birthday dinner here, and we were very pleasantly surprised. First, our server Jonathan was amazing. He was super attentive and even anticipated most of our needs. He knew the entire menu very well and gave great recommendations. The food was great. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The hot items came out of the kitchen quickly and were smoking hot. We had to wait a second for some of the items to cool down before eating. We shared a number of appetizers, including the pimento cheese fritters, lemon pepper wings, the dip, and the warm pretzel with cheese and mustard dipping sauces. The pimento fritters, wings and pretzel were my favorites. We each ordered a different entree and shared some. I had the steak with mac and cheese as a side. The steak was flavorful and well seasoned. The mac and cheese was creamy. Other members of the family ordered the salmon, chicken tortilla soup, big chicken sandwich, buffalo chicken tacos, and spring salad with chicken. Being that we were celebrating a birthday, Jonathan offered us the birthday beignets for dessert. While they were good, they were not the best I've had at other restaurants in this city. Based upon the great service provided by Jonathan combined with the taste and quality of the food, we will definitely be back - probably sometime soon. Cheers

Nan L.

Yelp
My new favorite place. Looking forward to going back soon. Had the steak which was great and hard to find elsewhere. Highly recommend if not sure.

Yelp
Well, we got off to a shaky start at Roux on Canton, but eventually recovered for an overall, solid four-star experience. Here's the scoop... We first wanted to try the daily drink special listed on the sign, but it was sold out. Next we asked about the frozen drink special from the menu, but was told their machine was broken. These things happen, I suppose... Here's what we settled upon and LOVED! Appetizers: Dozen oysters (lemon, cocktail sauce, crackers) and fried pickles/okra Entree: sweet potato tacos with fries Drinks: iced tea (my fav!), Moscow mule and Bloody Mary (spicy!) Dessert: beignets topped with powdered sugar It turned out to be a nice meal! Note: we dined inside, but there is also outdoor patio seating. Your pups are welcome outside on a leash - it's quite a sweet sight.
google avatar

Queenie D.

Yelp
Some things were done okay - but nothing was truly well done. Im also not fully convinced that this is a "creole" restaurant ... they have some creole food on the menu, but it's more bar food in my opinion ... i mean, they serve tacos ... Nah. My gumbo, although seasoned well, didn't remind me of a gumbo at all. It was mainly roux and hardly any vegetables or rice. I kept saying I was eating "mainly roux" lol. The hush puppies were super greasy and dry at the same time. Fries were kinda cold when we got them, and the slaw was super bland. The shrimp, hardly had any breading (which worked in my favor cuz I prefer less breading) - but all in all, as they say on the tv cooking shows "the taste was there". Hubby had the chicken wrap and salad with creamy balsamic vinaigrette and that was okay also. We only had water to drink, and the water tasted a bit funky to me. Total was $47 before tip. Service was fast and friendly. All in all, a solid 3 stars, but can't see myself coming back here.
google avatar

Tyler B.

Yelp
Bella and Izzy were sweet and the drinks were great; I would only return for a drink. The food was just okay- nothing amazing. The muscles were delicious, but the steak and risotto were such a disappointment! Lobster risotto tasted frozen- I was shocked with the dryness and blandness of the dish! The steak I got in replacement of the lobster risotto had soooo much salt, I just could not eat it... I took it to go for our pup at home. Park at the city hall- it's free and just a 5-7 minute walk. Make a reservation! Drinks are great, food not so good- go elsewhere; it's not worth the money.

Yelp
Kinda saddened by this, I used to love this place. It's located on canton street in downtown roswell, I usually park at city hall and walk over. Otherwise parking nearby is a fee. The restaurant is kind of small, with some outdoor and bar seating. It has a rustic feel. I went on a Saturday night and was able to get a seat at the bar, which was great. The bartender was very attentive and nice. I got Diet Coke which tasted bad and he replaced it from a different fountain acknowledging the one at the bar isn't good. Guess they just test peoples palette and ability to complain before serving the good stuff haha! We ordered oysters as an appetizer which tasted good. I ordered Cajun chicken pasta and my friend ordered the shrimp and grits. I was also craving sweet potato fries so got that on the sauce with a side of remoulade. I don't ever recall their sweet potato fries being dusted in cinnamon sugar and it was not mentioned in the description on their menu. Obviously, cinnamon sugar and remoulade is disgusting, but if I had known it came with cinnamon sugar on it I would have asked for them salted instead. Sweet potato fries are plenty sweet to me without added sugar, but I know that is personal preference! Some people have strong feelings about this so I believe it should at least be noted on the menu. The other sad thing is the remoulade tasted like straight jalapeño. I know their sauce didn't taste that way in the past and I didn't care for the change. Lastly, the Cajun chicken pasta had a very generous helping of chicken, but the sauce was so buttery, it was too rich for me. I thought I'd give the okra a go and it was ok, but I would prefer bell pepper like a traditional Cajun chicken pasta. My friend got shrimp and grits and she enjoyed it! She said it was very flavorful and a little spicy. Overall, I was saddened by my first visit back in some years, the flavors aren't what they used to be. I am very much missing the crab cake sandwich, but with the old remoulade! But I genuinely appreciate the good service by the bartender.

Yelp
Great Location! Great Food! Great Service! Makes you feel like you are on vacation! Half off Oysters after 5 during the week and all day Sunday!

Gillum O.

Yelp
Rounding up to a three but here is my breakdown: Service 2.5 Drinks 2.5 Food 3 We sat outside. They had the heaters on which was nice on a windy night. Took about 10 minutes after we got our waters for the waitress to come back to take our drink and app orders. Drinks were very watery and the food runner coughed on our app/table when dropping off our app. For entrees we had the fish tacos and the Cajun pasta. The pasta was not Cajun at all, but the tacos were very filling. The shining star was the jalapeño grits and the pimento cheese fritters. Overall the food was good, not sure if I would return because of the service and then sub par drinks. Certainly not worth the price on the bill.

Yelp
Love this place! Just finished up some morning shopping and was near the Trendy Historic Downtown Roswell, Canton Street area. So many cool places to eat and enjoy a drink most places have side walk seating for those nice days. The appetizers were both amazing and delicious. Devil eggs had a touch of relish which gave a nice sweet finish. And the oysters definitely lived up to their reputation. Very fresh. The entire team at the Roux is so cool. Very casual atmosphere with warm smiles and friendly hello's. From the hostess to the server (which was awesome) to the food runner and the bartender. All, always asked if everything was good and could they get you any thing else. Excellent! My lobster roll with the red beans and rice was absolutely delicious. Just loved it. Fresh, seasoned perfectly and so tasty. The cocktails were on the mark. Blended nicely and delicious. Kudos to the bartender. Just a wonderful experience on a perfect summer afternoon. Thank you Roux. You're doing everything right!

Darsey J.

Yelp
We came from out of town, Ms. We absolutely love this town and restaurant! The atmosphere is great, the food is great. We will be coming back

Yelp
We can here on a Monday night for dinner and had no problem getting a table for our party of 4. We could have sat indoors or outdoors and it was a nice night so we sat along the sidewalk. It was great people watching. Our server took some time to get with us and the service was pretty slow given the few people who were there. We ordered the deviled eggs and wings for appetizer. The wings are $1 each from 6-9pm on Mondays. The hot honey is a good sauce, but the wings were undercooked. The deviled eggs were great though. For my entree, I had the Roux Bleu burger. It was a big burger that had a fried jalapeno, bacon, lettuce, and aioli. The fries that came with it were heavily seasoned. All in all, a good meal, but there are better places on Canton Street.

Yelp
JD behind the bar is great always super friendly! Food here is very good! We like the bar a lot and go as frequently as we can!

Yelp
Best Cajun food in GA. And great service it was very much so great. We all had a great time

Yelp
This was a great experience! All the food was fresh and hot! Our server, Johnathan was very good as well. Attentive and funny. If you're in the area give it a try. The gumbo and house made hot sauce was good. Also the fried pickles and jalapeños!
google avatar

Yelp
It was our first time on canton street and it has a ton of different restaurants to choose from. We hopped around and chose to dine at Roux. We weren't too hungry so we had some small plates to share. The drinks here are absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend the frozen margarita. We ordered fried oysters which were good too, as well as a watermelon salad. The watermelon was fresh and juicy however there was way too much cilantro which did not pair well with the salad. Definitely stop here for some drinks!

Yelp
The location is excellent and food was good. Would go back again. Free parking is hard to find. Most places charge $10 for parking unless you find a metered spot.

Mike P.

Yelp
Amazing food for NOLA style foodies. Atmosphere is a great dive restaurant/bar style that catches the essence of downtown Roswell. Definitely come here if you're craving a great Cajun style seafood meal. Best lobster rolls in GA. Definitely made a local out of me.

Margaret C.

Yelp
Food was excellent! Hardy portions, great service. Will definitely go back! I highly recommend!

David J.

Yelp
Great happy hour drink specials and oysters. Nice bar and outdoor seating options. Will be back

Alan K.

Yelp
Went on a whim as we were in the area and found street parking on a Thursday evening. We arrived about a half hour before the kitchen closed but that was not a problem. Our server was outstanding offering some great suggestions -- we ended up with a smash burger (really good but not a traditional smash burger) and a Po'boy. Even though the kitchen was closing our server surprised us with beignets for dessert. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful waitstaff, and really good food.

Lauren H.

Yelp
Really good food! Love the Cheese Fritters and Pretzels! Wednesdays Trivia, great for kids. Don't forget your Yatzee roll too.

Yelp
Love the Fall Salad, the cup of Gumbo and the Meatloaf is great. The Meatloaf easily is two meals worth of food. Everyone is really friendly and makes great recommendations. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Roux in Roswell is an absolute gem! The ambiance is cozy, the service is top-notch, and the food is simply divine. Every dish bursts with flavor and creativity, making each visit a delightful culinary adventure. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Came here on Easter and it was perfect! Service was prompt and kind, food was delicious. The portions were huge! Loved sitting outside and people watching.

Yelp
The food here was pretty good. I was expecting the restaurant to be a little bigger. But at least our wait wasn't that long. We had a really good waiter by the name of Jonathan. He really made our experience great!

Melissa B.

Yelp
I am writing this review based simply on trying to make a reservation. The link online doesn't work, they are not listed with Open Table, and when I called, the mailbox is full?! Would like to try this place and have no problem walking up and putting my name on a list, but if you advertise you take reservations and then a reservation cannot be made, that isn't a great start to encouraging people to come visit you.
google avatar

Mads B.

Yelp
Stepped in here around 7:30 Saturday night. No reservation and were seated immediately. The restaurant is small both inside and with a few tables outside, so we were lucky to get a table. We each had a cocktail. I had the mezcal and pineapple one. It was definitely watered down. Could have been great if not for that fact. We started with the pimento cheese fritters. It came with 5 fritters, homemade tortilla chips and pepper jelly. Stellar! But who doesn't love pimento cheese anything?? No idea why the tortilla chips were there, but I'm not complaining about it. They were yum. For dinner I had the fried chicken tacos. Tasty. Decent portion size. I only ate one taco. It came with a side, and I had the cheese grits. Very good. Service was as expected. No complaints even on a busy night. The only low point was the cocktail. Maybe just stick to beer here. Other than that, I will be back.

Yelp
The bestie and I stopped in after a long day of errands. We were both famished. She wanted some seafood so this is where we ended up. After looking the menus over several times I distinctly remember asking what made her pick this place. Oysters. They have a happy hour special for raw oysters and she had 8 minutes to participate. She was already ordering some but added the raw ones to take the deal. Hmmm...not a oyster fan so I continue to comb through the menu. We ordered an appetizer so I continued to look while I sipped on my drink. Which was really good btw!! The Dip: spinach, artichoke, white, Gouda and parmesan cheeses that comes with pita bread and tortilla chips. The ingredients sound amazing together! I expected an explosion of flavors but overall the dip was pretty good. The tortilla chips tasted home made and had really great flavor and crispness to them. Shrimp basket: fried shrimp, hush puppies and coleslaw. The bestie said it had zero seasoning on it, not even a trace of salt. That's disappointing because the shrimp were very large and looked so good! She didn't eat much of her dish and said the hush puppies were the best thing she had. Fish tacos: blackened tilapia, avocado, coleslaw, cheese and jalapeño lime aioli. It was the sauce that made me order it and the reviews!! Two tacos and it comes with a side, I chose fries. The most flavorful thing about the dish was the avocado. Don't get me wrong, I love avocados but if that's the most flavorful that tells you everything you need to know. Everything was bland, luckily the tilapia didn't have a "fishy" taste but still wasn't good. I saw the aioli but couldn't taste it. I like to give the disclosure that I can cook, I know what seasons pair well with dishes so I can be pretty picky. As I mentioned, the reviews for this dish were good so go for it. Maybe it was an off day? Maybe we were too hungry? The restaurant was described as creole but creole it was not. Decent vibe, good service and I definitely enjoyed my drink. Check it out and see what you think.

Yelp
Awesome little spot!! Great specials (Wednesday half off old fashions) and even better food. I ate the Buffalo chicken tacos and wow! So tasty and fresh. I also recommend their homemade creamy balsamic dressing; unbelievable. Curly fries were super tasty as well. 5 stars.

Yelp
We came in on a Sunday evening for dinner. The food was fantastic. Our server was phenomenal and all food was hot and fast when we received it. All around good vibes
