Backstory: when my wife and I first started dating we went to a restaurant that coincidentally was called Rue that was also Cajun and was amazing (no pressure). My family and I came to celebrate our 3 yr wedding anniversary. The restaurant definitely gives the nawlins vibe when we walked in, that also looks great as a date spot. Our server was super attentive and was super mindful that when our baby was sleeping he even filled our waters away to reduce the sound which was really thoughtful. We ordered the New Orleans gumbo, fried calamari, Jambalaya, and the Mardi Gras pasta. One previous concern I had previously with Cajun food in California was that it wasnt seasoned well. Well, NO WORRIES HERE! Everything tasted amazing. If you’re looking for authentic Cajun, you’d roux the day for not for visiting! Let’s go!!

I recently dined at Roux Seafood Kitchen and had a pleasant experience. The ambiance is quite nice, highlighted by a beautiful wall of wines that adds a touch of elegance. They offer some IPAs, I picked 10 Hop Hazy IPA, which I thoroughly enjoyed. For starters, I had the New Orleans Gumbo, which was flavorful and rich. The main course was a delightful Chilean Seabass and Shrimp dish, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I also tried the Jambalaya, which had a great mix of spices and ingredients. The food is good and made to order, ensuring freshness and quality. However, the wait time was a bit longer than expected, even though the restaurant wasn't busy at the time. Despite this, the service was good, with friendly and attentive staff. Overall, if you're in the mood for some well-prepared seafood and a nice atmosphere, I recommend giving Roux Seafood Kitchen a try!

Google
NOLA type of restaurant. Seafood is cooked great in my gumbo. However, the rice is too undercooked for my liking. The overall flavor reminded me of Gumbo in New Orleans, so that's great. The beignets are also delicious and a must try.

Don’t think it twice, just show up for a great experience. Food is amazingly flavorful, quality seafood and inexpensive dishes, and quiet cozy place for family or couples dining.

Very delicious food and the service is amazing! We are keep coming back to this restaurant over and over again!

Food is good but service can be quite slow. My family of 6 came on Saturday afternoon and there were only 4 parties including ours. One of the tables probably waited a good 45 minutes like us for food to arrive. This place is not really equipped portion size for sharing. Maybe 2 people can share an item but it’s a stretch beyond that. I will always support small businesses especially when this is the only New Orleans Cajun restaurant in my area. It’s a nice place and expect to pay $3-5 more relative to the food you get. Hopefully they just up the pace!

Dealing with the manager at this establishment was an absolute NIGHTMARE. Our steak came with 1 side so we picked fries didn’t realize that the seafood platter also came with fries. We asked to switch fries to vegetables but he told the waiter it could not be done. We then asked the waiter to replace fries that came with our steak to veggies. The waiter went inside to ask him came back stating fries couldn’t be switched. We didn’t mind paying extra for veggies so Why couldn’t it be done? The story got better when this absurd manager randomly added an extra corkage fee to our bill without any prior mention or request to open. We asked the waiter she said she didn’t know anything about the added extra charge. When we questioned the manager, his response was “we automatically charge corkage for bottles on your table.” This kind of behavior is dishonest! The experience at this restaurant was completely ruined by the manager’s behavior. It’s evident he has no idea how to run a business or handle customers effectively. Instead of resolving a simple issue, he made things worse with his lack of common sense and poor communication skills. It’s hard to believe someone so incompetent is in charge. Until the management improves, I can’t recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
Food was absolutely amazing, family owned / Operated, our server Nathan had a rocking beard and was super kind / attentive. Food : 9.5/10 -Madrid Gras Pasta, flavorful, great portions, meat to pasta ratio , recommend spice level 7

Yelp
Love this place! Is a hidden gem in Huntington Beach. My go to is the Ribeye Steak with the Cajun butter with garlic noodles.

Yelp
Great date spot. Good service. Came in and immediately greeted by server and seated shortly after. They have both indoor seating and outdoor covered seating options for those who prefer the al fresco route. Menu is extensive and there is soemthing for everyone. We had the carpaccio for appetizer and then gumbo and shrimp etouffe for mains. Took a while for them to prepare (so don't come here if you're in a hurry) but when it came out everything was cooked right, seasoned well and tasted great! FYI- it's kid friendly they have food options for a kids meal. While we didn't try it, wanted to mention. It's also wheelchair friendly. They also have a special events room in case you want to book for a private party. The decor is nice and the place is clean and well maintained for special occasions. Easy to find, ample parking. Great little gem!

Yelp
Omg, I loved this place! What a hidden gem. The decor is super cute. Think Marco gras meets steak house! The servers were very helpful in pointing out to us the main stars of the show. They made great recommendations. Ordered some oysters, ribeyes, chili, and Seabass with an added lobster tail and Monte Cristo. Everything was excellent and portions were very generous. I really want to try the whole striped bass that's deep-fried, and even the stir fried lobster next time. I imagine everything is probably tasty! Best of all, cork fee is $10 for your own wine!!

Yelp
The service was wonderful! The restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately the food wasn't good! As you can see in the picture the cheese wasn't melted in the grilled cheese I got for my son. The food lacked flavor DRASTICALLY! The Mardi Gras pasta lacked flavor but somehow was spicy. The shrimp in the shrimp and grits were seasoned well but the grits were not the best. The clam chowder was good. The drinks are made with soju so they weren't strong but pretty good I got the blue something. And we got the beignets .. they were too dense to be considered beignets. It was a Saturday night and the food took forever I was very very disappointed. Personally I wouldn't go back....
google avatar

Yelp
The food is still great. I've been here about a handful of times over the past yr. I would say our fav dishes are the shrimp etouffe (broth is amazing!!!), jambalaya, garlic noodles with shrimp and sausage and the Mardi Gras pasta. Service is still super friendly. I forget her name but the waitress/hostess always does an excellent job. It's a really nice mom and pop spot. If I lived closer I would go more often.
google avatar

Yelp
Love the atmosphere and vibe of this place. We always get excellent service. The food is absolutely delicious. Some of the items we have gotten her include steak (great flavor and tender) lobster bisque (creamy and delicious garlic noodles (these were so yummy we get them everytime) artichoke dip (love this) and Shrimp etofee ( best we ever had).so if your looking for a nice place for a date night or even a nice dinner with friends this is the place.
google avatar

Valerie A.

Yelp
Their food AMAZING! Great prices and great service! For a table of 4, we had the Oysters Rockefeller, Gumbo, Shaka Laka Shrimp, and Truffle Fries. Then we all shared the Tomahawk Ribeye, Roux's Baked Stuffed Lobster and King Crab Legs Boil. For all of this, the total was only $300!!! Excellent quality seafood and steaks for an amazing price. I highly recommend you try this place. It will become your new favorite! It was not nearly as busy as this place should be. No wait to be seated on a Wednesday night. Definitely come try this place out!

Yelp
Let' start with the things at Roux that really work! It was the food that was the best thing about this place. The food was five stars and the boys in the kitchen really know their stuff. I have never been to New Orleans but now I know what the place tastes like. Barbecued Oysters!! Incredibly tasty. Shrimp etoufee: very creamy and tasty Mardi Gras Pasta: excellent and very filling Shrimp Jambalaya: my favorite. It had all the spices and flavor. t The decor and seating are what is not so great about the place. They have an adjacent room for parties and a long bar near where you sit for dinner. It is dark, outdated, and has nothing to do with New Orleans. It is a nightclub decor, and not a place to bring your kids. That could be hundreds more customers. Roux needs to decide, are we a nigh club or are we a restaurant? The kitchen gets five stars and could be a lot busier if the front of the house we a more family friendly place to visit. We had to wait five minutes for anyone to notice us when we arrived since there has a long line of people who wanted to go to the bar from the party next door. I had to break the line, go to the kitchen and ask for some help. There was no hostess, no waiter noticed us, no one to help us. A good place that could be so much better.

Yelp
I must say we had an awesome experience planning a private event at Roux. We held a retirement party here and the food along with the service was top notch. Nathan was our point of contact and he promptly addressed our every concern ensuring the event was an extreme success. All our dishes came out hot and on time. Every dish was a big hit with our guests. In addition, the private room had a great A/V system with karaoke, TVs, and a giant screen. Many of our guests commented that they loved the private party room. We would highly recommend Roux for private events. It's a no lose bet!

Yelp
Accepts reservations, had cheerful staff, displayed festive decor for the holidays, and served a nice variety of comforting seafood/Cajun/fusion meals. It was very quiet when we got there right at opening for dinner, and though it's a smaller restaurant, it didn't feel cramped. Parking is in a shared lot within the plaza. Fried Calamari: 2/5. They had a strange sweet seasoning and were served with a thin green sauce that was also sweet. I didn't really like them and wouldn't get them again. Clam Chowder (small size): 5/5. Deliciously savory and creamy, entire family liked it. Definitely a must-try! Mardi Gras Pasta level 3/10 spicy: 4/5. I liked the variety of proteins in the sea of fettucine. The sauce was slightly sweet with a hint of spiciness, though I wished it had a bit more salt. Cajun Garlic Noodles with Lobster and Shrimp: 4/5. Lobster tail was peeled and served on top of the shell as a garnish to the noodles. Very garlicky, strongly flavored sauce. Jambalaya level 7/10 spicy: 3/5. Seemed a bit dry and not decently spicy for jambalaya (there wasn't a gumbo-like broth present in the pan). The rice did taste seasoned but surprisingly plain for what should be flavorful and spicy. Catfish Platter: 4/5. Chunky filets of fish with a crispy breading and served with shoestring fries, a classic. Seafood Boils, including peeled shrimp level spicy and mussels level medium: 5/5. Per my family's reactions and comments, they enjoyed these very much.

Yelp
The service is fast and we had a huge party of 24 ppl one guy taking orders and making drinks for us and others inside nothing was missed.
google avatar

Dev R.

Yelp
I'd been here once before, and had the jambalaya. I can't remember that experience. This time, I had the Mardi Gras Pasta and definitely found a winner! Rue is a seafood restaurant, but it came up when I searched for a Cajun restaurant near me. Thus, I went there for the Cajun food. They're located Midway Beach Boulevard. There's an ample parking lot right in front of the restaurant. It's nicely decorated inside, and the two times I've been there it has not been full. Service is friendly and competent. Food is good.

Yelp
Today was the 1st of the year of the snake, most if not all Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants were closed, I was in a funk and did not know where to go when I thought about ROUX again. Excellent choice, we were so satisfied, it's 6 stars today!! 5 stars on other days so why was the restaurant almost empty? I said it once, said it again and again BUT THE MANAGER OR OWNER DID NOT SEEM TO GET IT, NOBODY I KNOW WANTS TO EAT IN AN IGLOO, what were they thinking it was so cold, my teeth just about went rattling! I had my winter coat on and it was very uncomfortable, worse yet the food got cold so fast so it does not do justice if people can't enjoy the food if it's cold. Unless this changes I'm afraid things can go downhill and it would be tragic as I just LOVE LOVE this Cajun/Creole cuisine. I was in New Orleans many times, my parents used to live there, I had dined in all the restaurants in the French quarter and no one can compete with ROUX, they do have the secret sauce. It's not just me complaining about the cold, my husband born in the BLACK FOREST, cannot stand it, the table next to me asked me if I thought it was cold, I said yes, I had my winter coat on. Their most popular dish is the lobster over pasta, it was grilled to perfection over yummilicious pasta w their signature sauce, it was really reasonably priced not cutthroat pricing as in ALL THE CHINESE RESTAURANTS these days, I hate it when I saw all the young folks ordering 5 lbs lobster at $42 a lb? gimme a break then they demand JOE to forgive their student loan, it's price gouging and or highway robbery as I saw the price in ABC market I think it was $18 or $20 a lb. Their lobster bisque is one of a kind, I have had bisque all over the world, in every cruise ship and nobody ever came close, I ate the big bowl by myself, I just had my cholesterol checked and I'm good! LOL! Their PoBoy sandwich was also good, not 5 stars though, the Cuban sandwich they used to have was 5 stars, please bring it back. On other occasions, I had Mardi Gras pasta, delicious but a little too creamy. Everything on the menu was good, really exceptional was the rib eye, whoa! Only $29, God bless them, you come here and you won't have to mortgage your home for a good meal, it's $39 at Black Angus and like $50 at water grill, come back for water grill review. All above mentioned yummy seafood were on all the previous dining, today we only had Chilean sea bass, it's the most sought after fish and most restaurant price gouged to the tune of $45 to $55, here it was only $29, all these years I never had this fish bc I refused to pay that outrageous price, bc next it would be like you'd have to sell one kidney to afford it, LOL LOL! It was grilled to perfection w 2 shrimps over rice, I chose grilled veggies instead of rice or potato. The fish was flaky, tasted like butter, it was so delicate, from now on it's this fish for me, I'm a carnivore so rarely eat fish except sweet and sour fish in Chinese restaurants. I also had Thai food from Phuket with Roux food. I gave the title "best on planet earth" to Yummy Pho unfortunately I have to revoke it soon, it was downhill after their grand opening day, ROUX IS ROCK SOLID each and every time, it was an out of body experience, and this restaurant truly is the best on PLANET EARTH, I felt I had "Gong xi Fa cai" after the dinner. Come dine here, thank me later, they deserve more recognition, I'll make a nice video for social media, I made so many but kept on forgetting to @ Yelp for the Yelp community. My husband just popped in and told me it was not cold today as he waited for the take out. It was cold in all my previous 7 times. Many lousy VN restaurants had amazing professionally made videos on Instagram that brought in all the customers, it's 2025 everybody and their grandmother is on social medias, I suggest ROUX does the same thing.

Yelp
Roux is a hidden gem in Huntington Beach. Located in a casual strip mall with plenty of parking, this spacious restaurant offered my friend and I a great place to catch up without feeling rushed. The single server for the restaurant was super personable and attentive and really contributed to making our experience great. The menu is large and filled with cajun and southern dishes. They even have a live lobster tank. We started with the Spinach Artichoke dip which was super cheesy and yummy, but could have been a bit thicker in consistency. They supplied plenty of crispy chips so we didn't run out. I had the Shrimp Étouffée and appreciated the large portion size and mix of flavors. The dish was very well prepared and you can customize the spice level to your liking. My friend enjoyed her Mardi Gras Pasta and we both took leftovers home. I only wish we weren't too full to order dessert!
google avatar

Brandon F.

Yelp
Online it looks great but when you get there service is slow. The ambient is nice for the place. The food flavor not good the calamari is deep fried then sautéed so it's mushy. The other food is bland needs better flavor
google avatar

Karen G.

Yelp
Oh, what a treat this evening was. Our first visit was so great that we decided to bring the whole family along, expecting the same experience. Silly us! Sure, we're a party of nine, but waiting two hours and this is no exaggeration for our food (and almost having a dish forgotten) really added to the "adventure." And let's not forget our server's charming response when we asked for an update: "Oh, I'm so sorry, I thought you guys left already!" Hilarious. Nothing quite like feeling invisible to make you feel welcome. Unfortunately, this will be our last visit. Thanks for making the decision easy.
google avatar

Yelp
Good cajun food with wide menu. Attentive staff, full bar, reasonable cost for food and liquor.
google avatar

Xenia A.

Yelp
This is our go to spot for seafood. They never disappoint. The most difficult part about eating here is that everything we order is amazing and so it's hard to pick out what to eat. Lol but I usually learn towards the Shrimp étouffée or Cajun garlic noodles with whatever proteins I'm feeling at the moment. We ALWAYS need to order a half dozen Rockafellar oysters to start us off. It comes out sizzling so be warned & let them cool a bit! The po boys are crispy and light, the monte cristo is delicious, the jambalaya...there's too much to talk about! On top of that, the service is always quick and excellent. The servers are attentive and kind and always have good recommendations. This is also a great date night spot! They also have a big room you can't rent out for parties for karaoke. I'm sometimes feeling like I want to keep this place a secret but tbh more ppl need to come through and enjoy it. We stay loyal customers for a reason!

Yelp
The best shrimp n grits west of the Mississippi. Started out with oysters Rockefeller which was a meal unto itself. The chef obviously knows what they're doing. Everything was savory, rich, delicious and bursting with flavor. And the meals are reasonably priced for what you're getting. Service was friendly and accommodating. Roux is a winner.

Yelp
Good Cajun food . We ordered Baked Mussels and Grits with shrimp and hot sausages and corn . Both dishes were very tasty, very cajuny. The grits were perfectly cooked and right amount of buttery . The mussels were also melt in mouth quality . Crème brûlée was perfectly sweet and nice caramelized coating . Also very reasonable .. lately it's hard to get full meal with dessert and beers for that price ..Last but not least .. Excelkent service by the crew ! so folks please give this place a try ..

Yelp
Roux Seafood Kitchen offers New-Orleans inspired dishes ranging from jambalaya to fish by the pound to pasta. The visit started off great with a waiter who was extremely friendly and polite. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer. It came with an abundance of chips to dip which I appreciated. As an entree, I went with the Mardi Gras Pasta at medium spice level. This dish was full of flavor with the rich cream sauce, spicy sausage, and heat of jalapeño. The dish was filling and you will likely end up with leftovers. Considering the tasty food, fair prices, and excellent customer service, I was surprised at how empty the restaurant was during our visit. Hoping more people come across Roux! Pro tip: check in on Yelp before eating because they offer a free milk tea with check ins.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this spot, but my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. I ordered the ribeye, which unfortunately came out overcooked. While it still had decent flavor, I was definitely expecting a better execution on a cut like that. The lobster tail was another letdown--the sauce they used was way too tangy for my liking and completely overpowered the natural sweetness of the lobster. The saving grace of the meal? The garlic noodles. Absolutely fantastic--perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and something I'd definitely come back for. One thing I have to give them credit for is the service. The staff was very attentive and helpful with my order, which made the overall experience better than it otherwise would have been.

Andrew B.

Yelp
Honestly I am very satisfied with the service that Oshi gave us her recommendations where a home run the grilled quid to die for the Shaka lama shrimp was crazy good as appetizers and to top it off was the Chilean sea bass big flaky buttery goodness amazing again what made this experience the best was Oshi her attention to detail her kind personality too quality she definitely needs a big shout out. Thanks Oshi

Yelp
I haven't left a yelp review in a while but wanted to jump on here to boost this restaurants rating because local restaurants are having a hard time these days and I thought this place was great. All the food was really flavorful and I thought the price point was really reasonable for what they were serving. Had lobster bisque, fried catfish and the steak. Service was really attentive too. Will definitely be back for my NOLA fix! Heads up they only have a beer and wine license (offer soju cocktails though)

Yelp
What a treat!! My friends took me to this place for my birthday celebration. The food was amazing!! I was really surprised due to that I had just came from a trip from New Orlean. If you are craving for an authentic Cajun food, this is the place to be. Great service. Always recommended to all my friends and family. The potion of the food was good and the price for seafood is a fair price.

Yelp
Food was SO good. It's a small restaurant with what seems to be hometown service. I'd go back when I'm in the area
google avatar

Sharon B.

Yelp
Hidden gem! I was looking for a restaurant in the area and stumbled upon this restaurant on Google maps. We went for an early dinner on a rainy Wed night and it was empty when we arrived. A couple of parties came in after us. Our waitress Cynthia was great! She was friendly, smiling, and checked on us often. We would ask for her again when we go back. It's a Cajun restaurant with an Asian flair. Food was so reasonably priced when every other restaurant in the area is getting ridiculously expensive. And the food was delicious too! We ordered the shrimp jambalaya (which had a nice kick and came with big plump shrimps), shrimp and grits (creamy grits with corn), mushroom rigatoni (creamy and rich), garlic noodles (a bit on the sweet side for some reason), and ribeye steak (so tender!).

Olga L.

Yelp
Tried it for the first time today. Awesome staff, delicious food. Parking was available at 1 pm on Saturday.
google avatar

Yen S.

Yelp
Good and service was great. The flavor of the Cajun clams was on point. We wanted the crawfish but it's out of season. But everything was satisfying. We had the étouffée, the sea bass. The clams and beef carpaccio and it was all so good. Even the beef sliders were good. The price was so reasonable. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Simon K.

Yelp
The Spinach Artichoke Dip was good but a bit runny. The Mardis Gras Pasta was great with medium spice. I think when you ask for Medium spice you get bolder flavors as well. The Shrimp Etouffee was just ok. The flavors didn't pop. Perhaps we should have asked for Medium spice on it too.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
I recently visited this restaurant last weekend. I was excited to try some New Orleans style food . The food here tasted great. The grilled oysters tasted great. The sauce on top tasted very good. My favorite dish out of the three was the shrimp etouffee . It came with rice, shrimp, and a flavorful sauce. The Mardi Gras pasta dish was similar. The jambalaya was flavorful too. All three of the dishes also had andouille sausage which was nice. The not so great part of my experience was the ambiance. The environment inside was dark and more like a nightclub. It was difficult to find the host/hostess stand. Therefore, it took a while for us to get seated or to get anyone's attention. The booth had a gap in it which made it uncomfortable to sit on.

Elli E.

Yelp
Enjoyed our dinner at Roux Seafood last night for Mardi Gras! It was our first time and we were not disappointed. We were seated immediately but next time would make reservations for Mardi Gras as it filled quickly. Service was professional and friendly. We had the Truffle fries (perfectly crisp with solid flavor - just the right amount for an appetizer), Seafood Gumbo (perfectly spiced at #5 heat level), and Shrimp Etouffee (the star of our dinner - excellent flavor and creaminess). For dessert we had beignets which were perfect cooked and hit the spot. Wish they had these on the menu all the time, not just for Mardi Gras! Huge wine bar (although we didn't drink) and the place was festively decorated, making it feel like we were in NOLA - appreciated the fun! Service got a little slow mid-way through our meal, which was to be expected as they were slammed with revelers by that time. We will definitely be back to sample more Louisiana inspired cookin'!
google avatar

Vicki H.

Yelp
Great Food and very reasonable prices! We've been back a few times. This will be a regular spot for us!
google avatar

Phoebe L.

Yelp
Check in for a free milk tea! Pros: plenty of parking, cozy bar/restaurant, friendly staff, tasty food. Cons: they had a busy day so they were out of Kumamoto oysters (we only got half a dozen), and out of mashed potatoes. Also, we didn't receive any drinks (not even water), for a good 10 mins. Our appetizer arrived and we still didn't get anything. Then the beers and sodas arrived, but we had to wait until someone asked to receive water. Steaks arrived much earlier than the seafood, so not sure what happened there. Overall, the price was really reasonable for the amount and quality of food we received so we will be back!

Yelp

Yelp
I went to Roux coz I wanted to try something different. What I liked about this place: - Offered more menu offerings than just "by the pound" seafood - Clean, comfy seating - Bigger (than expected) portions for the price - Tasty dishes = I ordered the house salad with shrimp, while the hubby got the ribeye with garlic noodles. The greens on my salad tasted fresh and no complaints on the shrimp. For the steak, it was cooked as ordered (medium rare). The meat was tender and juicy; the garlic noodles were garlicky good. What I didn't like: - Slow service = Specifically, the wait time between when we ordered and when the dishes arrived... about 20-25 minutes considering there was only 1 other table in the restaurant. So for this visit, it was a 4 for me. Would I return? Most likely and I'm hoping to have a better experience next time.

C C.

Yelp
The sauce was most flavorful. However, the shrimp etouffee was actually mostly white rice, a cheap nutrition-lite filler, with minimal veggies.

Ryan G.

Yelp
Tried Roux last weekend and it was fantastic. The staff is very polite - from the gentleman who took the phone order to the young woman who prepped it. We didn't dine in, but it was such a clean, welcoming space. The food was outstanding. We had the shrimp etoufee, garlic noodles, and jambalaya. And of course, the leftovers were great the next day! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Asian Cajun it was Ok. Nothing bad but nothing really good. The Charbroiled Oysters were a7 out of 10. Need to add more rice to blend
google avatar

Yelp
They had pretty bomb food I forget what the muscles are, but they are a must. We had the live lobster pasta. Definitely a hidden gem I will be back.

Yelp
Amazing prices and super fresh lobster just look at the size of this thing Originally thought the bill was going to come out to $350-$400 or more. But with 2 appetizers and this giant lobster dish only came out to $133. Which was an insanely good deal.

Yelp
First off the server Dang was amazing and helpful and friendly . He catered to all our needs and checked in on us frequently. Walking in there was only one table of customers on a Thursday night. Already knew what I wanted and got the shrimp Etoufee which I would rate 8.0/10 and appetizer charbroiled oysters which was 5/10 as it needed more butter . My friend ordered the Rockefeller oysters shaka laka shrimp and calamari and they were all really good except the calamari was rubbery in my opinion . The shrimp and grits needed some more flavor. There were no complaints on the other dishes . The music being played was great and loved the songs. Dang was singing along with the songs for entertainment. Love the place and will definitely come back again

Yelp
We dined as a party of 9 on a Friday night. The restaurant was not as busy as we anticipated for a Friday night but that was nice. The interior is lovely and cozy. The tables were not crammed into each other at all. The servers were friendly and gave us time to wait for a couple in our party that was running a little late. The menu is extensive and there was even a small kids menu. My children chose the spaghetti and the kids sliders. There was also a chicken tender option for kids. The child that chose the sliders said they lacked flavor but the fries were delicious. I can neither confirm nor deny that review of the sliders since I don't eat beef and didn't taste it. The child that chose spaghetti only took a few bites. We ended up at a drive thru for them later lol As for my dish, I picked the shrimp ettoufe. You can choose your heat level. I chose 5/10 which was perfect for me. The flavors were delicious and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. I would have liked a tad more white rice or a bit of sourdough just to finish off the sauce. I would return again to eat the same dish or try something else...maybe without the kids next time. It felt like the main dishes took longer than we expected, but perhaps we were just all very hungry and impatient. I do tend to place the kids orders in with the appetizers to make sure they don't turn into hangry goblins while we wait for the rest of the dishes. So I'm glad I did that here too.

Yelp
Best Cajun food in Southern California. A hidden gem. The gumbo is rich and hearty with the right amount of spice and the oysters are delicious. Fried, steamed or on the half shell. Service was on point. Friendly, attentive and paid attention to detail. Love this restaurant.

Yelp
Came from the IE here for Mother's Day and everything was phenomenal. Wanted to get my wife some sea bass and this definitely hit the mark. The service was great, and Cynthia was very nice as well. We ordered the Shaka Laka shrimp and it was sweet with a light hint of spice but well flavored and crispy. We ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was light well prepared and packed with flavor, got a side of mixed vegetables which were surprisingly seasoned well and paired great with the sea bass. I got the Hawaiian ribeye which tasted great just had to get it warmed up some more because they let it rest a little too long. But all the flavor was there. I also got a side of garlic noodles good as well. Kids shared the chicken Alfredo and that hit the spot, creamy noodles and chicken cooked perfectly. My mother in law got the House Lobster.....and let me tell you...... This was the showstopper!!!!! It was a new take on lobster, sweet and spicy and served with some noodles underneath it. That sauce took the lobster over the top that all of us shared in her entree it was that good. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
