Best bowling alley in London! Thought I'd just come to a regular bowling alley but there are 2 floors, an arcade room, a pool room, and live DJ sets on each floor so you can have a drink and a dance if you're not playing. On Friday and Saturday nights it's basically an adult playground. I had a great time and look forward to coming back. Thanks to all the staff that keep the place nice for us punters 🫶🏾✨

Nice place. You can book in advance. Feels like underground. Stylish. You can buy drinks, order pizza, play bowling. There’s amusement part to it too ( bring a lot of £). Overall good fun & child friendly!

Used to visit this spot way back over a decade ago, Came back recently good to know it's still alive and holds a good night. Even more of a vibe with music, drinks, bowling, Arcade, Pool and even Karaoke. All around good vibes, drinks are very reasonably priced, definitely recommend.

Tenpin bowling is a popular sport and recreational activity where players roll a ball down a lane to knock down ten pins. It's a social and competitive game enjoyed by all ages. Scoring involves strikes (all pins down on the first ball), spares (all pins down in two balls), and open frames. Proper technique and ball selection are key. Bowling offers physical and mental benefits, improving coordination and providing stress relief.

It’s always good to go to Rowans bowling. They have two floor for bowling. The staffs are attentive. Just be mindful at the time of arrive as it’s always busy at evening time but other than it it’s one if not my favourite bowling alley in London. Highly recommend this place if you haven’t been already.

Best bowling alley with ample luggage storage space and clock room. Great food stand entertainment for kids. Value for money

I remember going to Rowans around 14 years ago, it was always a good nice night out. More recently I can see they've transformed into an even better night, whether it's Bowling, Arcades games, playing Pool & Snooker, Karaoke, or just enjoying the music and the dancefloor... Rowan's is a great place to visit. Staff always been nice and a generally good crowd and nice vibes. I recommend this place, Friday and Saturday nights can be particularly popular.

Yelp
I had received several recommendations for this place so decided to check it out. Once you pay £1 to get in you are let loose to have loads of childish fun! With an arcade, pool tables and a bowling alley there is plenty of fun to be had. Don't forget that arcades are typically cheesey and this one is no exception! The staff are great and happy to refund you if the zombie gun machine swallows your £1! Have a go on the basket machine and maybe the ping pong table! A nice place to go and have a bit of cheesey, cheap fun on a Sunday afternoon. Great for kids!

Yelp
This is a bowling alley conveniently located just next to Finsbury Park tube station (make sure you take the turn to your left when you come down from the platforms, otherwise you will come out the other end of the station!). Before you can enter security will search your bags and ask for ID, which they scan for their records. Entrance fees are £3 friday/Saturday evenings and just £1 off-peak - they accept cash only. The venue is massive - there are bowling lanes on both floors (twelve lanes each to make 24 in total), karaoke rooms and arcades on the ground floor. Bowling is very cheap (for zone 2) at £5.20 per person per game, and drinks were also reasonable. They play 90s pop music and there is a small dance floor also where people can dance in between turns to bowl! Further into the venue there are pool tables at £1.50 a game. I initially had reservations before entering the place as the crowd outside the station seemed a little rough...but was pleasantly surprised to find many sensible groups of (mostly) young people having a great time bowling/dancing/playing pool. The place has a great 'back-to-school' atmosphere about it, and the prices also feel the same way. One can order Domino's pizza as I believe Rowans has a partnership with them. The bowling lanes are pretty standard, maybe a bit low tech, but still good fun. The pool tables are also in decent consition. The karaoke rooms have song databases that are more or less up to date with the latest songs. I *believe* it is well sound-proofed. There are cabs waiting outside the station should you wish to stay until after the last tube. Decent location, excellent prices and better service than kne would expect for the cost. This is an excellent venue for birthday parties or for groups of friends to simply enjoy a good fun night out! 5/5.

Yelp
A decent bowling venue with everything you would need from different weights and sizes of bowling balls, some seating, a bar downstairs and toilets. However, typical bowling disasters seem to appear..such as the lane becoming frozen repeatedly and worst of all the scores being wiped out completely once your allotted time is up, which can be hugely frustrating if you are trying to have a competition.

Yelp
This place is utterly ridiculous. The crowd can't seem to decide who it is or what it wants. There is bowling. There is awful/awesome music. There are cheap pitchers of beer (Coors Light?! OH OKAY.). There is (allegedly) karaoke. And, my favorite part of the whole place, there is a neon 'Cincinnati' sign. The bowling is reasonably priced, I guess. I have no standard for comparison. This isn't a fancy bowling alley, but that makes me more inclined to return since I can actually afford to hang out here for awhile. It feels like you're in a small town or suburb somewhere until you step back outside. It's open late, which is bizarre but also awesome when you're drunk. I dislike that there's a cover... at a bowling alley?! Whatever. It's not more than a pound or two. I think, mostly, I'm just obsessed with the fact that this giant bowling alley is right across from Fins Park station. Hilarious. Wonderful. Cincinnati.

Yelp
Rowan's is a cheap n cheerful ten pin bowling alley in North London. This is very old school. There's an arcade, a simple bar and the alleys are always packed with kids and families on the weekend. As far as bowling goes, this place is pretty affordable. It's also quite fun and makes for a good Saturday afternoon out. This is really *no frills* and don't expect anything outlandishly spectacular here. I'm not sure I like all the noisy families and rude kids but if you don't mind this then this is perfectly fine. I prefer Bloomsbury Bowling Alley - a ten pin bowling alley with a distinct flavour and theme but if you're local to Finsbury Park / Stroud Green then this is perfectly acceptable too.

Yelp
Where's my White Russian? Has anybody seen the Dude? Rowans made me want to squeeze into a tight purple jumpsuit, slick back my hair into a ponytail and have my friends refer to me as Jesus. Yes the place reminded me of The Big Lebowski. It had those tacky plastic seats, yellow cheap looking interior with seaside'esqe logo's emblazoned on the walls. No doubt if you wanted to, you could form a serious bowling habit here. There are two levels each with twelve lanes, there are a multitude of pool tables, two bars and a pro bowler room... Oooooh! Seriously this place is uber cheap. £1 entry, £1 for shoes and £3.90 for one round. There are special offers to make it even cheaper. If you want slinky, look at me I'm posh bowling, don't come here. If you want the true spirit of ten pin, and above all else want to be, the DUDE, Rowans is where you need to roll.

Yelp
Right beside Finsbury Park tube is Rowans, it is the only bowling venue within quite a distance and has been packed every single time I have been here. I remember going as a child, and it was packed then, and recall going there for a few drinks and maybe play a few frames of bowling, but had to settle with just the drinks as you have to book to get a lane over the weekends. There are 10 pin bowling, pool, arcade games, bars and food, that typically being fast food. Reasonably priced but a little rough looking but I suppose it is nice to see one of those vintage looking places, without the neon lights obstructing your view. Rowans is a part of Finsbury Park and I am glad that one of the larger well known companies haven't bought them out yet.

Yelp
There is a certain innocent pleasure I attach to bowling, probably something to do with the spate of parties in my early teens I passed watching heavy, green orbs bounce off the inflatable trainer guards to deliver yet another, less-than-credible strike. Such aids to my cackness at bowling are not available at Rowans in Finsbury Park, where some serious competitiveness from dedicated enthusiasts is on show most nights of the week. However, its difficult not to have fun bowling anywhere. The mental comfort of totting up your modest score at the end of the night is helped by the US diner-style food and the multiple digital distractions in the arcade.

Yelp
I really like this place. Feels a bit old and worn but more in a way that adds to its character, rather than feeling run-down. 1 pound cover charge, which is a bit weird for a bowling alley, but definitely not a deal breaker. 5 pounds/game. Bar is pretty much pub price which is a big plus point given that they usually tend to be expensive at bowling places. There's also an arcade area as well. Didn't play anything but I peeked in and it looked interest. Always nice to have the option. Ultimately, if you want to bowl (and ideally get drunk at the same time), it's a fun spot.

Yelp
Went here last month with a group of friends and none of us will be back any time soon. We couldn't believe the horrific treatment of paying guests they call 'customer service'. Our lane kept breaking down - whether it was the lights suddenly going off, the pins not resetting, the pins resetting and then getting knocked down before anyone bowled, or the equipment miscounting the number of pins left. We kept complaining and finally they moved us to another lane - but never apologized for the fact that it took us so long to get through one game. Had they offered us the chance to restart our game when we moved lanes, or even apologized for everything going wrong, we would have been fine, but they were openly rude to us at points when we pointed out that our game was repeatedly held up. Not a place we'll be returning to anytime soon.

Yelp
Awesome place for an alternative girls night out! We bowled, sang karaoke and ordered a Dominoes - yes, to a bar!! then we played in the arcade, too. Brilliant, chilled out place for a laugh on a Saturday night and with a whole mixture of people.

Yelp
This place is fab for a number of reasons, fancy a drink?DONE, bowling DONE, game of pool? DONE, or maybe a go in the acarde room, this place is perfect if you are on a day out with kids or night out with friends family. With 2 bowling alleys, one upstair and one downstairs, u never usually have to wait for a lane, and if you do you are surrounded with other things to keep you occupied. With music too after a certain time too, and food if you or kids get peckish(as they do), Does no break the bank, but a nice family day out.

Yelp
There is no doubt, and this is agreed amongst almost all of the people I know, there is nowhere else in Finsbury park (perhaps even North London in general) where you can have as much fun as at Rowen's Bowling. This place does have everything and is really very affordable. Don't worry if you think it looks a tad rough, this only adds. And the atmosphere is very accepting of everyone. Bowling is a bargain as is the bar. You can ever have a dance as the evening goes on, and watch the amazing dancing on display by some of the locals!

Yelp
This place is a great night out with whoever you are with. whenever i go i have a great time. There is a restaurant (though it serves bad food and only at certain times) arcades, pool tables (plenty), a lounge area and a mini dance floor which no one dances on (except for the odd drunk person). the cost for a game of bowling is £4, plus £1 shoe hire, plus you have to pay to get into the place which is a £1. Everyone is nice there and it gets packed so you should book lanes in advance for the weekend not to be disappointed.

Qype User (mishac…)

Yelp
This is one of my fav place. You have so many ways to have fun there. Bowling, pool tables, karaoke You can go a hundred times there and still it won't be boring especially if you're with good friends. Prices are cheap so you can enjoy spending a lot of time there but not so much money :)

Yelp
I want to have my birthday party here. And then, I want to have my birthday party every day. Rowan's is essentially the shabbiest place on earth to be the happiest person on earth, but who can argue with a £10 bowling/shoes/karaoke deal? Throw in a game of mini air hockey for 50p, and everyone's a winner. I have to say that I did not indulge in any food or drink during my stay at Rowan's, which is probably for the better, but you don't need to when you're after a chill and childlike Sunday night like I was. Fill up on great Korean food across the street at Dotori and save your coins and energy for the arcade after you've bowled and sung. For karaoke connoisseurs, I would rate the song selection as five stars if you're after a wide variety of pop and rock. They even had Björk. Make sure you search using the screen and not the binder, as our binder is outdated (and also stopped at "R"). Final bonus is that no one came to kick us out of our booth. I'm not saying how long we overstayed our hour, but I'm just sayin'. Grand finale: Bowling! Karaoke! Arcade! Lawlessness! All for cheap! Come find me here, and wish me happy birthday when you do.

Yelp
Cheap cheerful and bigger than you think with two floors of bowling, arcades and pool room. Service good, it's in a perfect location opposite station and did I say it's cheap?! Much cheaper than central London places. It is bowling after all. It's not the cleanest looking compared to posher ones in town but you know what you are getting. You can even get a dominoes delivered to Rowans. And with some fantastic pubs nearby I hope this place is here for many more years to come.

Yelp
Rowans is located right across the road from Finsbury Park tube. Inside there are plenty of bowling lanes and it's good value. More down to earth than the more consciously Americana '50's All Star Lanes but just as much fun. Great for kids too.

Yelp
Do you live in North London? Are you bored and broke, but not feeling like staying in? Then go and have some cheap fun: drink and game rounds altogether should cost no more than 20 quid per person
google avatar

Qype User (nori…)

Yelp
Located right near Finsbury park station this is a good place to head with a gang of friends. Loads of arcade games etc as well as the bowling. Beer tasted like their was some chemical in it when we were there so maybe avoid that!

Yelp
Rowans Tenpin Bowling was extravagant, as me and a friend had a great time there. After we had a fun time bowling which was full of laughter, we went to the arcade which was reasonably priced and we actually had quite a fun time, it wasnt a rip off like many other arcades, as we actually managed to win quite alot of teddys and 10 pences we had a game of pool which i also managed to win and its definitely a place to go with family or friends!

Yelp
They had me at alcoholic slushies. Went here for a friend's birthday and I honestly do not know what more you could want from a venue. Decently priced bowling (across two floors!) for a London venue, a selection of arcade games (DDR, guitar hero, racing games, air hockey etc.) and ping-pong tables in one room, a dedicated pool room elsewhere, and karaoke. Oh, and there's a bar on each floor which not only serves alcohol but also food, and you can order pizza in to be collected from there. It's open til late: get there before 8pm on Fri/Sat to avoid paying a tiny entrance fee. I had an amazing time there! Staff were really helpful and when we accidentally went over the time limit for our session on the 10th round, they let us finish up our game free of charge. It did take quite a while to be served at the bar and there was a lot of pushing by other customers so some people were waiting a lot longer than others. The bar was understaffed for the number of people wanting drinks: the service itself was top-notch. Also: alcoholic slushies. Single or double and you can choose from a wide range of spirits or even do two different alcohol shots in it. Perfectly summing up the sort of adult-children's party environment with the bowling, arcade games and whatnot. Will definitely be going back and if you fancy bowling, it's definitely an option you should consider.

Yelp
If you are bored by your routine or you just want to spend some good time with your closest friends, this place will help you to cheer up and have fun. I like the idea that you can book a private karaoke boot for only £ 5.00 per person per hour. I call this a quite nice deal. Sometimes it is crowded and I'm often trying to avoid the crowd and find a more relaxing place.
google avatar

Qype User (samant…)

Yelp
This place is always crowded as hell, you have to book your table/line few days earlier. They have different prices for weekdays and weekends, and also you have to pay for the shoes. It is very good place to spend your Friday night, try it.

Yelp
Whenever I fancy a game of bowling Rowans Ten Pin Bowling is the place I go. I've been bowling since '96 and in my opinion Rowans is one of the few places where I really enjoy the game to the fullest. The best part is that when I'm done with the pins I can always hit the pool tables for a couple of games with my friend Mike. The food and drinks are quite affordable although i don't really eat while I play. Would recommend this place for everyone who loves the game of bowling and wants to have a great night out.

nick w.

Yelp
Disinterested staff who barely acknowledge you, yawning and unshaven who communicate with head movements and grunts. Loud thumping music with huge TV/cinema screens pumping out advertisments for banks and insurance. If you can get past the above the bowling itself is cheap and cheerful and perfectly adequate. Obviously the surrounding area can be a little bit "tasty" so mind your P's and Q's or bring your stab vest.
google avatar

Yelp
Quality classic bowling. Loads of lanes so most of the time you can turn up. Very cheap compared to other bowling chains and cheap drinks too.

Yelp
had a great time here, decent prices, good atmosphere, came here after a few pint at the pub next door( twelve pins)

Yelp
Went bowling. Waited over 2 hours for a lane. Ball machine was broken. Staff really unhelpful. 'Technician' eventually came out. Didn't help at all. So went down to reception. Reception didn't help at all. Asked for manger. He didn't help at all and was extremely rude and refused to refund or give any compensation. Stay well away.

Yelp
Had to pay twice as staff insisted one of our group had not paid. Everyone had shoes and receipts ! Machines break and staff are slow to fix.

Qype User (Akira2…)

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! Its great. The bowling facilities are wondeful and also the bars,Arcades,Pool tables and everything else is just the best placeto hang out with friends and also if you want to organise a childrens party this is the placeto go. They would thoroughly enjoy it and so they should. The prices arnt exactly cheap but they arnt expensive either. It would definatley make a great day out.

Qype User (ladyto…)

Yelp
This bowlng place offers loads of other things to do not just bowling but has arcades, pool tables and serves food also. Its a great day out for all the familly and of any age,its rather cheap also so it wont break the bank to have a day out and abit of food. its also local to a trainstation so getting home wont be of any worry, its also open till rather late and plays music so u will for sure have a good day out.

Yelp
Worst customer service experience in a long, long while. Me and my buddy went for a bowling to relax on a day off. The worn out look and feel of the place didn't bother us at all since we're not picky and just wanted to play some games and drink a few beers, and admittedly it was the cheapest place I could find within the reasonable distance (up to twice as cheap as some other places). However, once the rush hour kicked in we were moved to a different lane (which was fine and we didn't mind that at all) and almost immediately we started having technical problems to finish the game which occurred 4, maybe 5 times. We weren't too thrilled about that but hey, it's not their fault, right? The real fun kicked in the middle of our 9th (and last) game when customer came to us and started telling us to finish the game because apparently he booked this lane. We didn't mind him being rude, but then we were approached by the employee who urged us to finish the game ASAP. Now, it's probably time to explain that AT NO POINT before or during any of the games we played there was any warning about the time limit - you pay for the game and that's it. So yeah, we did take our time with playing, but the treatment we received because of that was ridiculous. We went for a smoke to cool off and we were about to go and finish that darn game, and then we were again approached by the same employee outside. I was fed up that point and insisted on talking with his manager, which in hindsight was a mistake because that guy was even more rude than that young lad who was harassing us at first. He was basically telling us off and explaining that we're taking too long to finish the game, that we drink too much (seriously, what the f...?), we should go home, etc. The thing is, we didn't mind to finishing it at all right that moment, as long as we were asked for it, not ordered to do it. But there was no 'sorry', no 'please', no 'thank you', like we were some guys from the street trying to get a free game even though we paid for 9 of those and had plenty of drinks at the bar. Not to mention big and tough security guy was giving us threatening looks during the 'talk' we had with the manager. Again - WORST.CUSTOMER.EXPERIENCE.EVER. Wouldn't suggest this place to anyone, unless you like to have mistake-filled game and to be harassed by rude, arrogant, ill-mannered, hot-tempered staff, including regular employees, manager and security guy.
