Singularly Spectactular: Les Bains Paris in the Spotlight

"Every evening at Roxo, cocktails are served in the bar's verdant surroundings. A team of professional mixologists have a whole range of classic cocktails up their sleeve and can also introduce you to their own incredible creations." - Guide MICHELIN

The Best Cocktail Bars in Paris

"A mythical party venue in the 1980s, the former Bains Douches nightclub has since been converted into a chic hotel. It is still an excellent place to sip an inspired cocktail however, in an atmosphere that oscillates between serene and feverish. As you enter the bar, your eyes will be drawn to the stunning purple ('roxo' in Portuguese), egg-shaped ceiling, shown off to its best advantage by the black and white chequered floor. As for the drinks, mixologists kitted out in leather aprons deliver subtle creations, some inspired by the Les Bains Guerbois fragrance range, created in homage to the thermal baths that were housed here in the 19th century. Tart and thirst quenching, the Roxo Gin Tonic is spiced up with Timut pepper; or perhaps you'll prefer the flavours of a Stockholm Syndrome, one of their signatures." - The MICHELIN Guide

Google
Fun place to spend the night. Got served quite quickly at the bar which surprised me, but I only tried twice. Maybe later it was more difficult. As time went on more and more people arrived and it became a bit uncomfortable, with space becoming less and less available. Not only that, the level of drunkenness got worse. Initially the people were kind and well behaved, but they became ugly. Age was well mixed across all groups. Smoking was confined to a dedicated enclosed space. Music was great and it created mood for dancing. Chaos at the cloakroom as we were leaving, rude and inconsiderate people cutting the queue and becoming verbally aggressive. Better places in Paris

Google
Emblematic place in Paris since decades, since some time with an updated bold interior design - organic, futuristic and classy at the same time. Tasty (but tiny…) dishes, personnel super friendly. It’s quite pricy but the atmosphere makes it worth it and the signature cocktails.

Dropped in for a drink. Was pleasantly surprised to experience perhaps the best old fashioned I have ever had. Emir created a balanced and thoroughly enjoyable cocktail. What a treat! L.

I had reserved way in advance for a group of 8 online a month in advance and they had no problem honoring our reservation (especially since they take my credit card to confirm). It was nice that they gave us the big table to the left of the entrance next to smoke room as we felt like we had our own private table away from the crowd (that being said, it's still hard to hear anyone at your table than the two next to you cause of the music). Food was actually not bad although some dishes stood out more than others (the beef and the octopus). I wouldn't really recommend the food for big groups just because you're passing around a dish that's really meant for 1 or 2 and cutting it into little pieces until there's nothing left..plates shared between a few people would be more enjoyable. Also, for such small portions, 20€ average per plate is quite expensive. The ambiance is nice and as the night went on, it filled up, the music got louder and had a slight club ambiance.

Very happ with this place, service was amazing, they arranged food for us 1h before the kitchen even opened as we were starving. Everything was delicious and fresh and carefully selected including Chablis.

This club is a major letdown. The doorman was unprofessional and smelled bad, which set the tone for a disappointing experience. Even worse, staff were overheard discussing private details about other guests. This raises serious concerns about privacy and trust. For a place that markets itself as exclusive, it fails on the most basic standards. Avoid at all costs.

Google
Nice hip restaurant, mostly expat crowd, food is good, nicely appointed, bistro style nothing fancy. Service was fine but bit slow, however I believe they were a bit understaffed that night. Had a great night. Ask for seating in the covered ‘outside’ area it’s more private from the club/bar area that fills up after 22.00

The food was really good. However, the service was way too slow. We had to wait a long time, and it seemed like they were understaffed. The atmosphere was disappointing, as there wasn't really any vibe. This might be due to the actual space itself, as the design doesn't create a cozy feeling.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place more than I did. It's in a chic hotel near Le Marais, and the decor is fabulous. The service was friendly, but very slow and inattentive, and needs a lot of work. Cocktails were great, and we enjoyed all of our food except the risotto, which was BAD. It was a Saturday evening, and the place was EMPTY. Just not a wow experience.

Yelp
We dropped in for a cocktail around 5pm on a Wednesday. Only one other couple was to be found in the bar, and one at the lounge tables. Needless to say, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was also holiday week in Paris- so perhaps that was part of the solitude as well. The bartender was friendly at navigating our broken French and his basic English, and the cocktails were executed with care and attention to detail. But let's be honest- I just bought a cocktail so I could stare at this amazing interior design that feels like being inside a lava lamp.
