This place has some of the best burgers I've ever tasted. I love that it wasn't overly priced, including drinks. The service was great. The atmosphere was so cute. They had a patio as well. 10/10

I've been twice so far, rather empty when I've visited... but it's nice. I'm sure it gets packed. Best margaritas I've had! Strong,💪🏽 sweet,🍬 very cold 🧊 and very refreshing, especially from all this heat. I've only tried two appetizers..the pretzels 🥨 with the beer 🍺batter cheese 🧀 and the fried mushrooms 🍄...which were really good and fresh. Just enough to coat 🧥 the stomach ya know. But those Margaritas tho! 💛💚❤️🧡💙💜

I’ve been a regular here for well over a year now and food and service are always fantastic. All the food is made from scratch and their drinks never disappoint, you know they take a lot of pride in it! Servers, bartenders and manger are all incredibly friendly and a joy to speak with every time I come in. Atmosphere is low-key and the outside patio is covered with misting/hearing depending on weather needs! I always suggest this place as your first stop if going out on the strip or for a delicious filling meal. Terrible service. I ordered a drink and a meal, was never brought my drink as I watched the "server" Kiki with her friends. Awful experience. I also expressly told my "server" that it was my first time here. I waited for my quesadillas that were all thrown on top of each other. Terrible service. Terrible food. I didn't even finish my food or drink. I will never set foot in here again. First time here and I will never be back.

A group of friends and I came for dinner the Saturday of the Halloween block party. It was SUPER busy but you wouldn't have known it by the amazing service! We were immediately sat, 6 of us. Our server Jarren was super cute and magnificent! And the guys helping out were on point too. Our food and drinks were delicious. This was all of our first time there and we will definitely be back. GREAT PLACE!!!

I visited this place based on a friend's recommendation, who raved about their burgers. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, but when it arrived, the cheese was missing. After bringing it to the server’s attention, they provided a slice of cheese in a basket for me to add myself. While I appreciated the response, it just wasn’t the same as having the cheese melted onto the patty during cooking.

I came in for a late lunch... the lady with blue hair yelled across the restaurant hey gorgeous. Sooo I'm already placed in a better mood. Food hit the spot and my drinks came fast. Loved it ... ten out of ten would recommend

My friends and I went here on the evening of Wed 10/16, and sat outside. The server was wonderful (I didn't get his name, but he had a sick cardigan on). It's nice to have a reliable place with solid drinks, great variety, very good food, and even parking, all at a highly reasonable price. The atmosphere was nice too, and the outdoor seating area was wonderful on a clear day. On a final note, the Halloween special drinks (i.e. the Blood Bag & Candy Corn threesome/shot combo) were all outstanding. Overall, this place is in my Top 5 bars in Dallas. They do everything right and with style, and it's all accessible & convenient.

Great food and drinks with friendly service. The atmosphere has the perfect flair without going overboard. Where is the bonus star this place deserves?

Came here for drinks on a weekend night with some friends. The margarita was great, not too sweet. We sat outside on the patio towards the corner back. Our server made sure to take our orders in a timely matter and check up on us throughout the night. He also let us know when last calls Were being taken before close time. He also got some fries to share, which were really filling and yummy. Would come back for sure.

Had brunch with some friends and enjoyed it! This place is very affordable too! Ordered the eggs my way dish, which was only $9 and very filling! Had 2 over easy eggs with 2 pieces of bacon, some toast, and some potatoes, which were really well seasoned! Our waitress was very attentive and sweet! The inside is very modern and colorful, with lots of seating: booth and bar. The outdoor patio also has lots of table seating, and it is fully covered! Bathrooms are super clean. Highly recommend this spot for brunch!

Nice vibe, pretty good price. I was looking for a good burger today, and this place did not disappoint. If you're a fan of a sesame bun, I thought this one was quite good. The buttoned up jack was a nice juicy burger with good onions, cheese, and mushrooms. I got the side salad which was $1.50 extra and asked for caesar dressing. I thought the dressing was pretty odd - it was sorta chunky and not like other caesar dressings I've had before. Wouldn't personally recommend it. I'm not a fan of potato chips being the default side while french fries are $1.25 extra, but overall the pricing here is pretty good so I don't mind. Waiter was nice, check is done via mobile device rather than paper, so pretty efficient.

I have never had Roy G's before despite living right by it for so long! Last Friday night, it was time to visit and see what it was about! Upon entering, you seat yourself and a server will come to you (which they did pretty quickly). The atmosphere is relaxing and reminiscent of an LGBT bar, similar to Hamburger Mary's but toned down a little. All of the drinks are pretty strong. The pink-ish one was very refreshing, while the blue one is a strong frozen lemonade. It is definitely bitter and not sweet, so be warned if you're not a fan of that! The margarita was great tasting and had a nice spicy kick to it! The cheese fries were great and priced well for a half order ($7) with a generous amount. My only critique is that their actual fries have seasoning on them, and I wish that could have been added on the cheese fries. I'd still eat them again though! Now for the best part: the burgers. What came on it was Gorgonzola cheese, onion rings, and caramelized onions; I got a beyond patty with mine and added "G sauce," which is like a chipotle mayo. This burger was amazing! I loved how crispy the patties were which I haven't experienced since eating plant-based burgers! The fries, as mentioned earlier, have great seasoning on them. I couldn't stop eating! Service was great as it always is on the strip on Cedar Springs! Overall, I am going to have to return here and get more food and drinks because everything was all priced well, not to mention it was great! Roy G's did not disappoint, and I will definitely be back for more!

What a difference a few years have made. I've been back a couple of times recently and I couldn't be happier. The fried mushrooms are amazing and so are the burgers. Great service and ambiance.

Cute little bar. When we went in there was almost no one in there and the music was really quiet, which made the atmosphere awkward. We were just snacking, so we ordered soft pretzels and espresso martinis. Given that we were like 50% of the people in there, I was shocked by how long it took to get our food and drinks (and later on, our second drinks). The pretzels got rock hard fast and the martinis tasted like burned cigarettes.

The waiter took our drink order for us not to get it. But all of the tables around us got their drinks. After 35 minutes, we said to cancel them because it was obvious we weren't getting them. He said okay, and didn't even seem to mind. He has glasses and seems like he's in his 20's-30's. So many tables he was serving got their drinks and food before us, and they arrived after us with more people than we had at our table. Our food came out only when he looked at us after 30 minutes and went to the kitchen. I got the grilled cheese and the soup, which were barely warm. My friend got the chicken sandwich and cheese fries, which weren't even warm. After multiple times of coming here, I expected the service I received before. I will NOT be coming back to Roy G's. After all these years. Terrible. I'm so disappointed. Don't come here. They've apparently changed employees and only care about a certain demographic.

Best burgers in town! And best prices too! We came here a month ago for the first time and Erin was super, super attentive and wonderful with us, and today we visited again and Blakely also was amazing and attentive, we had all the different choices of burgers and they are fantastic and delicious for sure! Staff is so delightful and helpful!

We stubbled onto this place after walking the block for a good vibe. Roy Gs drinks and food did not disappoint. The only thing better was the service. Jarrin was attentive and was spot on with his recommendations. If in the area stop by and enjoy the experience

Had some errands and got some work done this morning. Decided that I wanted a bowl of chili from Roy G's for lunch. And NOW I remember why I haven't been there in probably a year. I walked in and there were probably 4 guys at the bar eating or having a cocktail. There was one table of two men outside. I counted 4 people that were working the bar and front of the house. One actually smiled at me as he walked right past me. I waited for several minutes before I realized no one was interested in waiting on me so I got up and walked out. On a positive note, a gentleman that I'm guessing was the manager was very kind as I was leaving and thanked me for coming in. I just smiled and thanked him for having me. The place is definitely clean.

Roy G's was a blast! We came here on Sunday for some mimosa fun and didn't regret it one bit. It's in Cedar Springs, a great area for the LGBT community to hangout and have fun. There's both an interior dining space and an enclosed patio area that we sat at. It was very relaxing and fun. Our server was awesome! We had some great conversations with him and he was super friendly! It also didn't take long to get our food or anything else that we needed once we asked. The mimosa tower here was so much fun!!! I haven't seen something like it before, and we had a blast using it to have a bunch of mimosas. They had several different flavors, so we decided to give pineapple and cranberry a try. The food here was also delicious - I loved my caprese panini, and the Buffalo bites appetizer was also really yummy. Reasonable prices - no complaints! I have nothing but good things to say about Roy G's, especially because of the super fun mimosa tower and the really friendly service. Coming here for brunch was a really unique experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I definitely recommend experiencing this place!

Came on a Saturday for a late brunch. Didn't do any reservations so we were seated outside. It was a nice day, so I didn't mind it. Of course I got the rainbow shots for IG purposes only, the drinks were not my most favorite. Egg Benedict was amazing!! I highly recommended Roy G's was good, so I will go back. I can't wait to try more of their drinks

I had the Pigpen Omelette with breakfast potatoes. It was full of bacon, slow roasted pork AND flavor. The potatoes look like nothing special but they were hand cut, perfectly cooked and bomb. My friends both had the Biscuit Henny Benny and loved it - and why wouldn't they? Buttermilk biscuits topped with fried chicken, eggs and sausage gravy. Drool. Champagne Tower. That happened. The service and food were excellent. I really hope they make @Spencertheqween a regular because she was amazing.

I come here for the vibe and the burgers! I love the Pride theme! Customer service is always quick and friendly, food comes out hot and right away, the way they toast their burger buns is great! A little buttery crunch that will make your mouth water! They are regular sized burgers though so don't expect the giant sized ones but they are a good lunch size the g sauce is soooo good!

Sadly the food is mediocre at best. The cheese fries came out cold and almost solid. The blue burger was rather mushy tasting and the party seemed to be preformed instead of freshly made. The only thing decent is the pickle brined sandwich. The server was great though which is only why they get 3 stars. I really want to like this place but they need to up their food game.

Service was very fast and the friendliest guy was the guy they named the Perfect Husband drink after. He was super nice but not invasive. Food was decent. Can't say much about bar food here as you want it to be straight forward and decent.

Hello? If you're in the neighborhood, you have to come here. Especially on a weekday, stress days, in the afternoon, about 3-6pm. When you come, you'll definitely see me here for their $5 burger deal + sides!!!! Besides the affordability, the drinks and food taste so gooooood. Man, I can another Winterberry Twist. Let me give you the run down of my experience. It's not a super busy place, luckily. It feel so comfortable to come with your friends and gosssip. That's what I did and we stayed for 3 hours. The food: Buttonup Jack - the bomb dot com. I love mushrooms and this is the burger for me. It's well made and only freaking $5!! You're crazy if you don't eat here. The fries was part of the deal too and that is seriously enough for dinner. Fried Mushroom - all I got to say is finally! I found a place that sells actual fried mushroom that taste like mushroom more than dough. It's good. $9 is plenty of mushroom. It's enough to take home and air fry for later. Winterberry - yum. It's super sweet with a nice punch of liquor. Will order again. By the way, if you don't tip, you're also crazy because the service there is so nice. Everyone is super friendly. They refilled my water without me knowing and I talk a lot. Fully appreciate it

Food is amazing, and Erin is the absolute best bartender/server in Dallas! I would come here just for her unbelievable service and smile!

Curious why at a gar bar we are watching strange show with hand cooking over a candle... love the place but the tv shows are odd...

I had an incredible first time here! The space has seats at the bar top, tables and booths inside, and plenty of room on the patio. There were also screens all around playing various shows/movies. Cheese fries were delicious! The only thing I'd like to see is better distribution of toppings. One side had the bacon, the other had the green onions, and then fries underneath the first layer had nothing. Drinks were delicious! I typically don't like house margaritas, but the one here was fantastic. The Banana Hammock is a favorite (I tried it, but didn't order because I don't like banana). It was a nice treat! We had a Violet shot which was floral and sweet. I really liked it. The rainbow assortment of shots on the menu is creative and provides a little something for everyone. Scott was an incredible server! I'd go back for him alone. He had the best recommendations and lively interactions.

Roy g's was a great spot to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. They had signature St. Patrick's Day cocktails and food. It was a very fun and happy celebration atmosphere.

Wait staff phenomenal! Chicken sandwich was awesome and open green chili tacos were the bomb. Full bar. In the gayborhood. Totally recommend!

Had the best brunch here, now one of my favorite spots for brunch in the area! Parking was easy and there were plenty of spots in the area which I was initially worried about. They have the most fun drink menu, it was perfect for a Sunday funday. Service was fantastic and our waiter was extremely attentive; the food came out quickly and was AMAZING! We didn't make a reservation but got lucky and were able to sit right down with a group of 6 on Sunday at noon!

This place is a total vibe and everyone is so friendly and attentive it's awesome. I forgot the name of the drink but it straight up tasted like a key lime pie it was the best thing ever! Think it was just seasonal it's not on the menu anymore! The food got a chicken biscuit for brunch and it was delicious definitely will be back for the atmosphere

I have never experienced a more terrible experience. Awful bartender. We have been going here for YEARS! Won't be back, wish I knew his name. I never give a crap review EVER. If I was the owner of the bar I'd want to know which kid it was. Blonde rude AF.

I always walked by this place and never stopped. My friends finally took me to go eat here. The food was really good. I had the nachos and their burger. So good. The service was also very pleasant. Always checking up on us to see if we needed anything. Especially because it was on a hot day, drinks were full and everything was good, so it made the atmosphere great.

This place is a pretty sweet little spot on Oak Lawn! I was pumped when it opened and love the owner as well. All the staff are super friendly and helpful! The vibe is laid back, fun, and chill all at the same time. Everything I've eaten here is delicious. Haven't had a bad meal or drink yet!

I was looking for an alternative to other brunch places that had long waits. Found this on a list of must eat brunch places in DFW and was a little skeptical at first because they don't take reservations and said they had no wait. When we arrived however there was plenty of room to choose a table inside or outside. We sut down and were almost immediately taken care of. I just stuck with coffee and water, but my girlfriend had the Brunch Punch which was very refreshing and the alcohol content wasn't overpowering. The Chilangos Benedict was delicious, the combination of the chorizo and hollandaise was just perfect. The potatoes were cooked and seasoned just right. I will be back! And next time I'll have to try one of their champagne towers.

Brought a small group (6) because the food has always been decent, and service pretty good. Bartender let us know the waitress would be right over... after 4 more tables sat, 20 minutes later, and taking 3 of those tables orders, she came by. Poor attitude "I'm here so y'all can torture me". Dead-faced. When attempting to order, she snapped about being out of several things and to "deal with it". I Noted to not return or recommend for future patronizing on the strip. Food is decent, but not worth the subpar service. The place is going downhill quick.

Went here while visiting DTX at Christmastime and it was so fun! We went during the day so kinda dead but the bartenders were so friendly and the place was so festive!!

Yes yes yes. Roy G's is such a welcome spot in the Gayborhood! Great service, a good menu and always easy to find a table. Even if you don't want to eat, they've got a really cute bar to belly up to. Cute cute cute.

Amazing service! The overall atmosphere of this place is so welcoming. My friend and I shared the biscuits and gravy with potatoes. Sooooo good highly recommend to anyone in the area!

I will start by saying it's just good!! Come check it out. Initially I thought this place was closed because it's boarded up on the side way and has been so for about a year. But baby if you walk around the corner and into the door, you will be welcomed with awesome food, drinks and service. The bartenders know their craft and are up to any challenge. The fries are off the chain super delish. I can't wait to go back.

Was traveling in Dallas and friends suggested we grab food and drinks here. We ended up going several times while in town. We had a great server and gladly we got him when we went back. I would go back when back in town.

Enjoyed it a lot - stopped by for a Saturday lunch. Awesome service decent food. Loaded Fries were perfect. Fried mushrooms decent. Chicken on the chicken sandwich had an awesome crisp but could have used a little more...sauce? Slaw? The menu is small but well done, perfect for bar food. Would definitely return.

The food and drinks were delicious, but the highlight of our experience was our server, Danny. His friendliness and ability to make meaningful conversation put our experience over the top. We will be back and we will seek him. He's quite an asset to the business
