"Known as both a restaurant and an international distributor of Caribbean baked goods via its New York City headquarters, Royal Caribbean serves as a reminder of Jamaica’s Asian community, and is perhaps best known for being a sure thing when it comes to patties. Choose patty ranging from beef, chicken, and even meatloaf to vegetable, soy, and spinach with cheese. Patties are baked crispy on the outside, while still moist on the inside. Be sure to hit up the glass display in the shop to take home a loaf or two of hard dough or coco bread and other bread-based goods, including sugar buns and flat jackass corn biscuits." - Mike Jordan

"This Stone Mountain institution is heralded as the holy grail of patties (at two dollars!) and home of some volcanic spice levels, but don’t get too full on savory fare. The pastry counter offers treats like plantain tarts and glutenous goods shipped over from their Bronx outpost in New York." - Sarra Sedghi

There was a line when I walked inside and I waited in line was not for long. The lady at front greeted me and asked for my order. I ordered a two small oxtail plates and some additional items. When I got home I was eating my food and noticed NOTHING had seasoning. The oxtails was chewy and tasted like nothing. Then as I was eating I noticed a piece of plastic was in my food. The plantains were not fried instead boiled and the beef patty was bland. I don’t know how this place has as many stars as the do because I would never come back here for authentic Jamaican food

We ended up at this restaurant by accident. I’m so happy I wanted some coco bread and decided to walk in. When we walked in we were immediately greeted. I didn’t know they served food I thought it was just a bakery. We decided to try the beef patty, coco bread & curry chicken. OMG it was delicious. I’m going back on Friday!

Been coming here a couple of years, but this was the first time I found HAIR in my food. Found it by biting into my cabbage. Then observed the plate further and found hair near my oxtail. I went back and showed the woman at the counter the hair and she replaced it. I asked her for a drink for my inconvenience, seeing as I had to drive back up there and she complained about having to replace my oxtail was a loss for them. I didn’t $2-3 would be such an inconvenience for y’all messing up. Went home, ate the rice andddd the rice tasted oldddd. Like she just warmed it up and put it on my plate. Smh. Don’t go after 4 expecting anything fresh from them!!!

Google
Where do I have to go to get a large plate of Oxtails? As you can clearly see in the picure; the large oxtail only had six pieces of meat. I wonder what the small looks like? Portions are very small compared to what they are charging $27.50 and the food was bland. Patties however was on point ( had a vegetable). Will I visit again? Absolutely not!

Google
Food is not as good as before. Chinese people do not know how to cook Jamaican foods. Even their red peas soup was watery and tasteless with disgusting dumplings. Jerk chicken not original, all patties are horrible. It seems like they just threw the food together with not a care. They need to hire real Jamaicans to cook. Their business seems to be dwindling fast. I won’t be buying their cooked foods anymore, which was once in a while because I cook great meal at home. Others need to do the same.

Google
These beef patties smacking. The coco bread fresh. You have to go at the right time though. Went Saturday before work and the line was out the door. Went today and was third in line. Wife got some stew chicken and it was falling off the bone.

Google
Really great food works are nice and helpful. It's not a dine in place. Grab and go only. Because it's a bakery, you'd be hard pressed not to fine everything you might want. Price well, $$, but that's every place now. Enjoy 😉. Their patties are wonderful to me. Maybe a little spicy for some.

Google
Saw somewhere that this place had the best beef Pattie in the Atlanta metro. I am African who enjoys Jamaican food and I personally don’t like the boxed frozen ones sold in the supermarkets. This place has the closest to juici patties in Jamaica and we would keep going back to get our patties from here. Love it.

Yelp
The Patties are on point! Big up! The process orderly and the variety of good pleasing.

Yelp
For starters I must say the service and oxtails were great. However, I went about an hour before closing and ordered a large oxtail plate. I was disappointed with the serving size of oxtails I received. If this was a large plate I'm curious what the small plate looks like.

Yelp
Best place to go for your Jamaican craving fixes! Located on memorial drive in a big plaza with lots of free parking, youll find this mom and pop's Jamaican bakery. They have so much great stuff from Jamaican groceries, beverages, Jamaican patties, bakery items! I love the beef patty with a ginger beer! Note they need a minimum for cards so i always pay with cash!

Nicholas F.

Yelp
Recently, I tried the jerk chicken.. It was definitely good and flavorful! Looking forward to sampling a few more items. In the past, I have tried the beef soup and it barely had beef in my bowl (just a few pieces). This place does a lot of business, please consistently do the right thing for the customers. Don't rest on your reputation... Keep elevating your products!

Kai D.

Yelp
Three words, The Beef Patties. I had never been here until this morning, my friend stopped and wanted Beef Patties. I looked at him as if he was crazy because it was 9:10am. What Jamaican resturant is open now to sale Beef Patties, right? To my surprise they had plenty of it. We ordered a total of 4 and when I tell you the beef pattie was flakey and seasoned exceptionally well. I had to immediately make a review about it. Now that he put me on to this spot, I had to let you all know. Since the beef Pattie's were good I can only imagine what their oxtails taste like!?

Rain M.

Yelp
This place is a staple! This is the ONLY restaurant that serves fresh made patties that I know of! The customer service says welcome when u walk in the door just by giving that island feel. Now...the Patties...you can't go wrong no matter what you choose. My fav is the meatloaf patty with coco bread! Warning...they sell out of these fast! Enjoy!!

Melinda D.

Yelp
Please don't let the name fool you. This is more than a bakery. The food is authentic Jamaican cuisine and the service is good. It takes time to prepare delicious food and this is well worth the wait. Seating is limited so I always take my food to go.

Candice T.

Yelp
Stopped by here a few days ago and picked up a few curry chicken patties. These are the best we've ever had in the metro area, and we keep coming back every now and then when we have a taste for some. We want to try the jerk chicken patties and the veggie patties, but we always have a taste for the curry! Always perfectly flaky, but not too much, and the filling is never dry or lacking flavor. You won't be disappointed!

Tamera B.

Yelp
Yeah, probably my favorite patties in the city. If there are better, let a girl know please. They've been consistent, not, and so damn flaky. They've never been out on my visits and the variety is solid. Spinach, jerk, curry, and veggie are all nice. I appreciate them pretty much being there only establishment still taking Covid precautions. You must wear a mask to enter and order or they'll sell you one. Period. I recently ventured into their meals - not bad but not as great as the patties.

Chollett J.

Yelp
The best meat pies I've EVER had. I was first introduced to this spot at The One Love event in 2022 and I've been going here every since.

Cecilia T.

Yelp
I've only had the beef and chicken patties here but got damn, they're good. Get them. That is all.

Sherri G.

Yelp
Great food and it's really authentic!!! It is owned by an Asian man but it's the best authentic Jamaican food I have had since I have been in Atlanta!! Love their beef patties!!! Make sure to wear your mask!! It is REQUIRED for service!!! FYI

Trudygaye C.

Yelp
The best Patty and bread also gizzards fish soup good too. A little bit of home when you're there yea mon.

Jamarcus T.

Yelp
Really, this was more of an "i'm close to the area and don't wanna drive far" visit, when I paid Royal Caribbean Bakery a stop for lunch, but I noticed a few things when I parked my car. The first thing is there was a lot of car traffic, most centered around Royal Caribbean! The second thing I noticed is the smell that filled the entire parking lot. Their front door seems to be open just because it's hot and stuffy inside, but really, that's some good free marketing too if you just follow your nose. Royal Caribbean isn't a large store. They've got a few tables for you to sit and eat, a small menu, and they do sell lots of freshly baked items, juices, and such. Today I got their small lunch Curry chicken ($7.50), a beef patty ($1.70) and a spinach patty ($1.80). I don't know what's small about this because it was a decent sized dish that filled me up. With the chicken came 5 chicken pieces, your choice of rice and peas or white rice (I got rice and peas) and your choice of plantains, steamed veggies or cabbage. I got plantains. The flavor of the curry sauce was great, and I thought it wasn't going to be good because it wasn't cook to order. They scoop it right out of their cafeteria style display, but man it was really good, had a slow burn to it, and no bone fragments in the sauce or rice! Plantains were nicely cooked, not mushy and sweet. Rice and peas were also good, and went well with the leftover sauce. If you're extra hungry and want the large order, it'll costs you $9 The patties were nice! Their beef pattie was soft, flavorful and weren't all that small, so for the price, you get your money's worth. The spinach pie is completely filled with spinach, and also had a very light slow burn in terms of spice, but if you don't like things spicy this isn't a problem for you either. Flavors were great with the spinach patty too, and while it's slightly smaller than the other patties, and a dime more expensive, it's worth giving a shot. I'll definitely be back to try more. Located in the Rockmore Plaza off of Memorial drive and Rockbridge road, there's plenty of parking here in this lot shared by multiple little restaurants and shops. There is a red light exit onto rockbridge road, but multiple exits onto memorial drive too. If you want to go to the left, towards I-285, you'll have to take rockbridge road, or make a u-turn at the nearest break in the Memorial drive median. Probably one of my favorite locations in this plaza, i'm 100% coming back to try their other meals, their patties, and at least a couple of their juices/drinks they have on display. Good good food, and good people. Worth checking out!

Lauren J.

Yelp
Best place for beef patties. This family owned shop is a staple in the Stone Mountain area. I drive all the way from Buford to eat here. You can get a dozen assorted patties for around $20-25, be sure to get a loaf of hard dough bread or some coco bread. They are limiting customers in store currently to only 6 at a time so be sure you have time to wait (mostly outside) because the line gets LONG, especially during lunchtime and on the weekends.

Lee F.

Yelp
I was complaining to a friend about some nasty, frozen grocery store brand of Jamaican patties I had bought, and he said "well, it's time for a Royal Caribbean run". He drove all the way from Smyrna to their Memorial Drive location to pick up patties for himself and an order for me. They sell them for take-out as well as dine-in (Covid restrictions permitting). You can get them to go either frozen or warm from the oven. This was my first time experiencing the warm, flavorful meat pies. I had both the chicken and beef patties. If you've never had these Jamaican patties, you're missing out.

William P.

Yelp
Best patties hands down. Good prices and definitely recommend. Plus they are a sponsor for the MACC 100.

Myrna M.

Yelp
Spot on flavors, quality, with friendly and efficient service too. Worth the drive and money

Mo L.

Yelp
Be sure to have a face mask. No longer required on planes, bus, and trains however, required here. Don't have one, pay $0.50 to submit your order

Avery H.

Yelp
My families favorite place to get uncooked patties to take home and cook ourselves. Always a pleasure when we are on that side of town.

Maurice H.

Yelp
I love this place and have for years. But I felt a responsibility to report this. I wish I could share the video of them moving because I have one. But my brother recently discovered tapeworms moving around inside his beef patty as of yesterday.

Janif P.

Yelp
I moved to Georgia in 2007. My sister lived in Stone Mountain when I was introduced to this place. I am a New Yorker, they have the best beef patties I have ever had. Went by today, that first bite to the last bite was still YUMMY!! Please check out this place, you will not be disappointed.

La-Shonda S.

Yelp
We have been going here for years. This place has the best patties ever. My mom always feels at home when she comes because she will talk about how it was when she would buy stuff in Jamaica. I love the smell in there because of Hard Dough Bread which is soooooo yummy. If you are ever in the area try this place out.

Jeffrey J.

Yelp
The BEST freshest Irish moss/cocobread & beef patties in GEORGIA, I've been coming for years & the taste/flavor is ALWAYS consistent.

Kaitlyn R.

Yelp
5 stars so I know y'all will see this. Their google hours are wrong. They close at 6pm Mon-Thurs and 7pm Friday and Saturday. I found out from a piece of paper on the door. After driving all the way over. Don't be like me.

Kaye M.

Yelp
Never disappointed on any of my trips to Royal Caribbean Bakery. I live 30 minutes away and make sure that my trip is not in vain. My shopping list is pretty basic: Hard Dough Bread, a dozen patties (chicken and spinach are my faves), A plantain tart or two, spice bun, tin cheese, D&G sodas and a large soup. Customer service has always been excellent even at their most crowded times. During the holidays prepare to wait on line as the whole neighborhood it seems gathers to get their baked goods for the season. Quality of food is fresh and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. Worth the trip.

Yelp
Update as of 4/29/2014} These patties are the best I have had!! Hands down} .....Its cold out I really need something hot and delicious. I'm here for piping hot jamaican patties. Eating these makes me want to curl up on a couch inside from this cold weather! It took me this long to finally try this caribbean bakery. Very fresh spinach and beef patties. I just finished the spinach patty, it was my breakfast since i only had coffee this morning. (Greatmixhuh?) Im sure the beef patty will be just as tasty so i will save that one for a little later. The bakery cashier was very nice, you must spend $6 if using debit. Im a big fan of spicy sauces, hotsauces, hot peppers any and all things spicy! I just purchased a bottle of pepper sauce from the shelves of Caribbean food items sold here at royal one that ive never tried before I can't wait to try it. I will be back for more patties whenever im on this side of town.

Dan F.

Yelp
Well.....asked "Siri" to search for cupcakes in my area because that's what my wife wanted. Royal Caribbean Bakery was at the top of the list. Got there and they didn't have a single cupcake! Hmmmm....smh! They don't have cupcakes yawl...lol

Jessica D.

Yelp
Best patties on this side of town hands down! Every single Patty I've tried was amazing! Especially with the coco bread. Their Irish Moss is great too! Highly recommend.

Darrian J.

Yelp
So ever since I've come to Atlanta I have been on the search for proper Caribbean food, and whether they have one proper dish I can rock with or multiple, they are deemed treasures to me. This place is one of those treasures. Before I even became a yelper I was rocking with this place, the only issue for me is that it's far and out the way (east Atlanta otp), so I don't get to go there much, but when I do, I have the happiest look of fatassery on my face. This place is a Jamaican spot (owned by chinese Jamaicans if I'm not mistaken), so it's authentic and supports the culture. And it's a bakery so they have a lot of the foods you may miss from back home or want to try. It is no fancy shop and it looks just like one you would see in the islands so don't go expecting something extravagant. It is humble and welcoming and has the authentic island feel. I can't speak for everything in the shop because I don't usually try their no pastries. I specifically come here for the beef patties, breads, and "bun n cheese". I never leave this place without at least two beef patties with cheese n cocoa bread, never. And the bun n cheese that I had the other day (which is sometimes hard to find out here) hit the spot exactly how I wanted it. I should also state that they have a variety of patties: chicken, jerk chicken, beef, and a few others I can't remember at the moment. I highly recommend this place. There's ample parking and decent service. I will say that sometimes it's really busy, but the wait isn't that long ever. I highly recommend this place, especially if you have West Indian roots. There's not that many good places out here in Atlanta but this is one of them. I cherish this place greatly. Last thing I should note is that this place does not have an infinite amount of supply so once something runs out for the day it's gone. It's a drawback but it also means that the food is good, fresh, and taken care of properly.

Kadeem C.

Yelp
My cousin took me here on my vacation in ATL. I had beef patty + chicken patty + stew chicken w rice/cabbage + Sorrel(drink) + Supligen(drink) + round bun. The patties were good, they also had vegetarian options as well. The foods were tasty and fresh. I had mine made to order, excluding the patties. (I came on the right time) My favorite would have to be the drinks and the bun, only because I haven't had those in a long time. They have their own bun manufactured, and it's VERY SOFT and yummy. (Although it could've went without the fruits in it, BUT there's only a small amount). The food itself is 5* However, the temperature inside the restaurant(HOT) and the dirty tables and chairs took away a star: leaving a 4 STAR REVIEW. I know they get busy, but stopping for 2 minutes to wipe tables isn't a bad idea especially when there's no huge line.

Margarita P.

Yelp
I have been visiting this location since I moved here from NYC. I personally know the owners and always pleased with my beef patties and coco bread!! They serve multiple dinner items but it's too much food for me. I always stop when in the area and there's NO comparison to ANY other.

Mr. Ronald L.

Yelp
I am a customer from 1992 and still supporting Royal Caribbean Bakery. Consistent product and consistent service are the cornerstones of this Family business. Their menu has evolved over the years. But the quality has endured to be #1 Jamaican food anywhere near ATL.

Kimi M.

Yelp
I came here upon recommendation of one of my Jamaican friends. So far, all I've tried are their patties, but let me tell you-i will be back to try so much more. The line was almost out the door when I got there, so I'm sure their other dishes must be good as well. As for the patties, I tried the: beef, curry chicken, jerk chicken, spinach and veggie. They were all delicious, but if I have to choose favorites, it would be the spinach and curry chicken. All of them were bursting with flavor and just enough spice. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu!

Vienna M.

Yelp
This was such a great place to get patties! My friend and I came during late lunch time on a Saturday and it was super busy. This is located in a large plaza so there is plenty of parking available. Everyone in front of us got bags of bread and we got a few pastries ourselves. I tried the beef patties, coco bread, and the Curry Goat lunch. Everything tasted great and I will definitely be back!

Eboni A.

Yelp
I've been on a quest to find the best Jamaican spot in Atlanta and Metro Atlanta areas and this just isn't it. Parking, you would think it's about to be the most amazing food ever due to the line being out the door constantly but it's not. Although bakery is in the name, I just didn't put it together that it's an actual bakery....silly me. The fresh bread and desserts in the display case look great though; however, I ordered a real meal: Jerk chicken, cabbage, and plantains. The jerk chicken was tender but the seasoning was just hot and not flavorful. The cabbage was too soft and a bit salty but the plantains were really tasty. It seems their bread & butter is actually in their bakery goods - the bread to be exact and so I will try again and order their specialty item. I also read they have good patties so I would try that also. They have a vast drink selection of Caribbean drinks as well. All and all, I would try again if in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way. I'm happy to support a family owned business who also happened to have a 100 Health Inspection score so they're clean! Some family spots are real suspect but they are not lol. They all had good customer service too. I look forward to trying the bakery goods and a pattie on my time.

Nekiba M.

Yelp
Best Jamican patties. Yeah I said it. These patteis are made fresh in house along with their sorrel and peanut drink. I was starving after leaving the Decatur Carnival festival so we ended up here after the 1st pace we went to was closed. My friend was raving about this place nd their meat patties so off we go. We luckily got there before the crowd and ordered some patties. The choices incllude beef, chicken, curry chicken, spinach, soya (tofu), and meatloaf. I ordered the meatloaf patties, coco bread, and sorrel. Now I see why people buy dozens of these heavenly patties, they're that good. The crust of the patties was light and flaky. The difference between the meatloaf and beef patty is the seasoning. Bit more onions, tomato, and does like meatloaf. Sorrel is a popular Jamaican drink made from hibiscus, ginger, and sugar cane. Theirs had a bit more ginger (think of Red Rock ginger Ale), I like it but others may not. Before leaving I decided to order a few more beef patties for my sister and the fried fish (escovitch style) for the road. All I'm going to say is this, I'll stick to the patties. I read other reviews about their main dishes compared to their patties. The fish was just vinegary (is that a word) and dry. I know next time just to focus on the patties, bread, and sorrel. Royal Carribean get three stars because the main dishes I didn't enjoy and secondly, there are no restrooms not a gret idea if you dine in. It's definitely a place to order to go especially being located in an unsavory part of time. It's a good distance from where I live so I'll go a buy a large amount when I'm in the area.

Melanie J.

Yelp
Royal Caribbean Bakery was awesome. We drive 55 miles to get this delicious food. It is worth every hour!! We have been customers for over 4 years now. My family and I lives in Flowery Branch Ga. Thanks for the great food and keep up the great job!! Joseph Family

Sabina M.

Yelp
Not far from main intersections, this restautant is an inviting venue that brings together different cultures for great west indian fast food. Good service and interesting patrons. You can enjoy island music and find out what fetes are going on in the city.

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
Was on memorial feeling like eating Jamaican food and when I got to the light I remembered the plaza had a Jamaican resturant. I never ate their food but always had their delicious patties. I had oxtails and cabbage and it was great. I was surprised it's china owned though but blacks would sell out on their own organs.. but anyways. you break you buy.

T S.

Yelp
A little hidden gem I recently came across and I can't wait to try more menu items. For now, I'm obsessed with the Jamaican Beef Patties, which are worth weekly visits!

W J.

Yelp
It's time for y'all to update hours on google. People are driving from far to discover you all are closing early.. A paper on the door is not going to work it's 2021.

Brett T.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to get a patty from. Try their plantain tart! Also very good.

Tiara H.

Yelp
Really great freshly baked good. The service is a little slow but it's soooo worth it

Tara O.

Yelp
I'm sorry, but the meal didn't meet my expectations at all. The jerk was very bland. But!!!!! The beef patties and plantain chips are to die for. Apparently they actually make their patties. Mines came straight off the baking sheet. Yummy and HOT!!! I'll be back for patties and chips.Soooo GOOD!! For all that I purchased my total was very reasonable. I was just disappointed with my actual meal. Oh yeah, artist Khia song "my neck my back"was outside hustling CDs during my visit. lol I thought it was funny and strange.

Rochelle J.

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF PATTIES!!! They have the best beef and chicken patties.. they also have beef and cheese (which is rare). They have other ones as well. The food though I tried once and wouldn't try again... this is a party/ drink/ dessert type of place. They also have DRUMMNNROLLLL PLS rum raisin ice cream !!!!! Very rare to get in the city . The owners are always working and are very nice... this is a family business and you feel like family if you come here often.

Bridgett M.

Yelp
First off, I see why they won the patty award. By far the best beef patty I've ever had. The crust is so flaky with a delicious beef flavor. Also tried the jerk chicken patty, good and spicy. The curry chicken has a scrumptious flavor. For those of you who can't take spice, stay away from the jerk chicken meal. It is really spicy but I love it!! Would've gave this place five stars but the cashier lady was kinda rude. Kept saying "next" when I was right in her face, but I'll just chop it up to her being busy. Other than that I will be a returning customer.

Dena V.

Yelp
I had the stewed chicken and bought 4 patties. I'm not a fan of my stew chicken being sweet. However, the patties are very good w/the exception of their vegetable patties. The meatloaf in coco bread was right up there w/sweet stew chicken. I'll return for the patties but not the meals.

Lillian C.

Yelp
Got some Irish Moss and Sorrel today! I REALLY like the vibe of this place and will definitely be back!
