The carrot juice is not expired but it exploded on the 15 minute ride home. The brown stew chicken was under cooked (pink inside). The carrot cake and bulla tasted stale. The only decent things were the veggie patties but I wish they were more flaky. 2 stars because the bread and bun were good 😔 waste of 50 dollars smh

ONLY GET A PATTY from this establishment! The cooked food is horrible! Just wasted $14 for curry goat which smelled spoiled and Mac and cheese that was over cooked and sloppily thrown into the container. Neither was appealing even the rice was hard. Learned my lesson! Look at the photos yourself

Oxtail is VERY burn your mouth spicy. The fact that the meat fell off the bone was the only thing good. The carrot cake hard like a rock. Why y'all did me like that???? The server was nice.

Pastries and breads always fresh. The smell alone is worth the trip on a Saturday. Veg patties are very flavorful..The usual staple pattie and cocoa bread are wonderful and consistent. Service is fast and friendly. Blessing to my people, been coming to this place since I was a kid. Sure it has changed ownership over the last 30 plus years but same consistency

All I can say is the patties. I bought the mini patties for an event. I purchase the chicken, vegetable and the beef. They were delicious. Realizing I did not have enough I was able to order another 8 dozen of patties on the fly and they were nice enough to accommodate me really quickly. I'm definitely going to be back soon and will be ordering more patties.

I'm sorry the patties were disappointing, they were soft and flavourless, maybe I was given last night's batch or something. With so many other bakeries available, once was all it took for me to decide I wouldn't eat here again. I'm sorry Royal Caribbean but my first experience was not good.

The beef patties are good. But I bought a slice of rainbow cake. It was not fresh and it tasted like some type of chemical was sprayed in the area where the cake is stored. This was my first time here.

There beef patties are the most authentic to Jamaican patties. Their patties are to live for. The meat, the crust and the flavors that pop out while eating their patties will make your taste buds dance . They did not skimp on the meat either. Really mouth watering. I can go on and on. Just tell them Patrice sent you.

I'm surprised this place was only 3 stars. The food is very tasty and is some of the best on this stretch of Dyre Ave. On my last three visits I got the the Rasta Pasta. While a little over cooked it is delicious. It explodes with flavor to be so simple. I also requested the brown stewed turkey wings with my pasta instead of the jerk chicken on this last visit. It was amazing! I honestly believe people would eat more turkey if they had it cooked to perfection this way. It has the same luxurious mouth feel, gelatinous stickiness and some similar flavors that I enjoy in oxtails. I always go for the plantain tart as a sweet finish to my meal simply because it's simple and good. The only downside is that the service can be a little slow / relaxed but hasn't stopped me from returning.

Normally I love coming here since it's so close to home, but not today. Came in on 12/5/2019 because I wanted to get some black cake. Came in and there was 2 workers (an older lady and another lady). There was a customer being helped so I waited until he was done then approached the counter. I said hello and the older lady was like "hello, how can I help you" (very nice lady). So I asked "do you have any black cake", she said "hold on let me check for you". She then proceeded to ask the other lady. The lady looked at me and then looked at my sister and says "we have black cake but mi nuh want cut it up". I'm Jamaican and I understood what she said. So I'm looking at this lady like, you have the product but don't want to cut it. Like who does that. Not sure if she was having a bad day or something or maybe she was saving it for a friend or another customer; but that was not the way to treat a paying customer. Management can go and look back at the camera if they don't believe me. It was around 4pm on 12/5/19. I'm in a black jacket with a black pocket book and black pants. My sister was also in a long black jacket and blue jeans.

I love the Jerk Chicken and patties here. I come here whenever possible..Soo goood. What else is there to say..great prices too

Recently tried the pasta at this place, oh my goodness so good, when they have it. I have gone twice since then, where it was sold out. If they had it more often I would give them 5 stars, the curry goat is also on point. Stew peas on Thursday is great too.

I visited this restaurant on 07/20/2021 and the food was mediocre but the service was horrible. The server gave my food to someone else and after waiting 15 minutes with other patrons getting their orders and leaving the cashier started arguing with me and somehow want to make it my fault. Avoid this restaurant the food is not great and the service is horrible

Wow! Want to have a Patti that won't have you calorie counting? Try the Patties here. I had a Veggie and a spinach and wow both were awesome. I couldn't decided which one I would get again so I'll get them both again when I return to this restaurant. I still can't believe they are baked. Tony the owner is also very pleasant so are the rest of the workers. I took some to go with me for my employees and they all said everything they had was tasty. Keep it up.

I can only speak for the patties and service here as I've always arrived late in the evening when all of the food was gone. The patties are decent. I am a big fan of Golden Krust's curry chicken version, not so much here. The jerk chicken and shrimp patties here are delicious! Very fresh and authentic tasting. Staff have always been pleasant and patient. I am giving them an additional star because while in the area one very hot summer day and waiting for my fish to be steamed at the market across the street, we popped into a dozen stores desparately seeking cool air but to no avail. Guess who had the AC on full blast? Yup! Kudos Royal Caribbean!

They have a terrible policy!!! If you do not like your food and ask to change it, they refuse to do so!!! This is incredible I literally took one bite of my food while dinning in, terrible taste(curry goat). Avoid this place at all costs. You're better off going to Golden Krust directly across the street!

The crust is great and overall it is one of the best patties in NYC but there is one cavaet, where the hell is the beef? I mean seriously, I almost felt like I was either crust with a hint of meat flavored gravy. Either increase the price for more beef or make smaller patties. Anyway, I still like the product but it could be better.

I've been coming here since I was a kid and after being without west indian food for 5 years this is the first spot I hit when I came back home. UPDATE: 4/28/14 I had to knock this location down 2 stars. You can't even walk pass without homeless people harassing you for change. Staff could move faster and be more attentive to customers.

This is one of the better places in the Bronx to get a patty. Brooklyn has better bakeries but I live in the Bronx so when the urge hits, this is the spot for me.

The staff is on molasses. Don't go here if time is important. Same damn patties you can get anywhere else.

The patties are excellent some of the best in New York in my opinion. However, everything else is hit or miss. I ordered some fish with rice and peas, when i got home to eat it, the rice smelled spoiled. Customer service could also use some work. I hope the owner of the place is reading these reviews.
