Where to Eat Indian Food in Las Vegas for Diwali and Beyond

"Located at the Rio, Royal India Bistro offers the traditional lunch buffet experience from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., plus happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 10:30 p.m. The focus is north Indian cuisine including tandoori items and vegetarian specialities. Diners love the bone-in goat masala and the mahi mahi fish kabobs. A curated whiskey list also makes this spot worth checking out." - Janna Karel

I looked at the reviews before going and dispite the low reviews in some comments here I went there with an open mind. I frequently visited 3 other Indian restaurants in wisconsin. Compared to those I found the chicken Tikka mesala at this restaurant mild. The other ones I've been at were more spicy. They may be able to fix this by providing spices at each table in case people want it more spicy. If you like your Indian food less spicy then this might be alright for you. It was okay as far as getting my Indian food fix but isn't as good as those other 3 Indian restaurants I've been at. For 2 people at a buffet with 1 Indian beer each this ran us $110 not including tip so be prepared to spend that much.

Buffet over here is not worth the price. It is convenient if you are staying at Rio hotel & casino but food is below average. Restaurant is clean and has pleasant environment. I would not recommend this place if you love Indian food.Overall it was an average experience.

We loved this out of the way little gem in the RIO Resort. We must have been early at 7pm ish as we pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves for the 1st half hour, then more groups started coming in. Service was excellent and respectful. Buffet was clean, easy to access, but not as many options as we have experienced at other Indian buffets. No Butter Chicken was disappointing, but the other offerings were very tasty! Staff was super friendly and efficient.

Google
To start off, the food was flavorless and very limited with only about nine options. Usually, a buffet would have multiple choices to eat and drink. This buffet is definitely not “royal” as the name suggests. One good thing about the food is they had vegetarian options, but one too many of them. The service here was okay, but our server would always frown at us when we asked for assistance. The atmosphere, in contrast was amazing. The seating was comfortable and it seemed royal looking and sitting in it. Overall, I would not recommend this “buffet” to anyone who wants flavorful Asian food or someone who wants a wide variety of options to eat.

This is a restaurant inside Rio hotel and casino. The place is well designed and beautifully decorated. They serve full day buffet and super expensive. Of course it vegas what can you expect? But food is definitely not worth the money you have wait for a repeat of roti like 10 Mins. The service is not worth mentioning. It’s a Indian cuisine while gambling if you are hungry go for it

Google
Very unimpressed. To be fair, it was late. I think they were open for another hour. The garlic naan was great & had my breath kicking for 2 days. The rest was mediocre. I thought the buffet was already sparse & the best thing they had w a little spice, the Chana Masala, was almost empty & they did not refill it. I asked a guy about it but then he took a cellphone call walked to the kitchen and then walked out of the front door. 😂 I wouldn’t recommend this place especially for the price. I didn’t get a drink and I paid almost $40.

Google
Pretty good, the staff is great. The food comes out super fast and they try to keep things flowing so it may seem a little rushed. They are all amazing and the food is flavored perfectly. They have your standard heat levels and 10 is not very hot but it is very flavorful. Give this place a try if you're looking for good classic Indian food. I do have to say there is another place in the area just as good or even better so try both.

Google
Small & Underwhelming I believe this is mostly a casualty of the lack of oversight on Caesar's part in how they neglected the Rio up till its most recent sale to Dreamscape. This buffet is cramped, shoved at the end of a hall, has an entire room for private parties that could be used to serve more variety of entrees, but still the whole place feels like it's trying to make the most of what they have to deal with. The buffet is limited, the quality of the food was pretty average, and the price was reasonable. I hope the new company helps this place expand then maybe it can shine.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise inside the Rio! Royal Indian is now 100% buffet only option (as of May 2024), But the food is great tasting and nicely displayed. Service was good, but on the buffet line you are getting everything yourself. The server provided drinks and naan, with garlic naan being my choice. Ambiance is nice with clean tables and gold silverware. Choices included salad, vegetables, chicken and desert options. My favorites were the butter chicken and tandoori chicken. Garlic naan was really good too. Somewhat limited choices and wish there were spicier options available. Price from the lunch buffet was a reasonable $25 with tax and tip making all in cost about $31. Lots of free parking here. Definitely recommend. Also was staying at the Rio, which is really nicely remodeled after their split from Caesars Entertainment.

Yelp
Mixed Feelings at the Royal Indian Buffet in RIO, Las Vegas. Bad: - The Indian basmati rice, when prepared well, is an aromatic, beautiful, and tasty dish on its own. Unfortunately, in this case, it was disappointing--a mediocre steamed rice with broken grains. - The Lamb Curry lacked flavor and spices. Okay: - Chicken Curry - Chicken Tandoori - Yogurt & Cucumber Good: - Baingan Baharat (Mashed Roasted Eggplant Dish) - Yellow Daal - Tamarind Chutney - Naan Excellent: - The Mint Chutney - The Atmosphere - The Service - The Staff Bottom Line: I do not recommend this place for a even a memorable culinary experience. There are many more exciting eateries including the Indian restaurants in Vegas.

Yelp
Great Indian food Cute atmosphere If you are in the Vegas area give it a try Really delicious

Yelp
Food was really good as well as the service. The paneer and chicken tikka masala were delicious and not too spicy. The only problem I had is that it is a bit pricey with $35 per person.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised to find an Indian Buffet in the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. Coming from Los Angeles where we have a number of Indian restaurants locally, this was an enjoyable experience. The service was very attentive. The restaurant is clean, they have a variety of dishes and there's ample seating in the dining area. It's just a shame that there aren't more patrons. The prices in Las Vegas are inflated so I'm not surprised that the buffet was $37 with a chai tea. I usually pay about $23 in LA. Overall, it was a very good meal.

Yelp
The food was 5 stars all the way, even in an uncrowded restaurant in a run-down casino where buffets sometimes tend to suck as food sits there untouched for hours. First, the Garlic Naan! Holy Vishnu! That was some good bread. They make this and bring it to your table and there was plenty for our table. I don't know if you can order more or not (I would assume so), but the one portion was plenty. I really needed a salad so I took some of their delicious Tandoori chicken and chopped like Dana Carvey choppin' broccoli. Then I made me a salad and topped it with tamarind sauce, mint chutney and tamarind sauce for one of the most delicious "Indian" salads. This should really be a thing? Anyone else up for an Indian Tossed Salad? Wait, that sounds like an Urban Dictionary thing. Finally, the butter chicken and the chicken vindaloo had the absolutely most tender chicken that I've had at any Indian restaurant... and I've been to Indiana! I've had those dishes many times and the chicken is sometimes tough (not Mr. T. tough, but more AC Slater tough). The only "bad" thing is the price. For the variety of dishes they have, it should be a bit less (I think dinner was $35 plus gratuity). But I get it, it's in a casino in Las Vegas. They have to realize they're in the Rio, right? If you're in a hurry, you can get in and out and get back to the offerings the Rio has to offer. It's right by the Comedy Cellar so consider this as your pre-comedy meal and you may be surprised!

Yelp
My friend wanted to spend his birthday here. Initially, we were the only customers in the restaurant. I was worried why there were not patrons. They had the buffet but I feel like that there were not much vegetarian options. Usually I go for Indian restaurant and enjoy vegetarian dishes. Their dishes are ok. The ambiance is quite. Overall, our experience is ok.

Yelp
Two words: Garlic Naan! So lately to bolster some business they were having an all you can eat set up for $26.95, seemed like a great deal because just one of their entrees was that or MORE. The place was decorated like a swanky palace. It has been around for many years so back in its heyday this was a pretty ritzy joint. The Gold silverware and the comfortable seats told some of that story. The buffet was a small set up with a few items, but the butter chicken was very good. Everything else was ......so so. It doesn't seem very busy anymore and the workers seem bored, one guy was staring over the dining room like the "soup Nazi" from Seinfeld. Uncomfortable indeed.

Govind T.

Yelp
Tasteless food, very limited items considering the cost and also charged with gratuity for only 3 people. Not worth for a penny.....

Yelp
This is a restaurants inside the Rio casino in Las Vegas. It's a very good buffet place. Restaurant has a very nice design. Service was very good. Buffet was reasonably priced. It has very good chicken selection, veggie selection, some fruits, and some Indian desserts. Overall, I was happy. It's a nice place to have a group dinner. Ria hotel also has free parking.

Yelp
I was a bit hesitant to dine here since Covid happened we haven't eaten at any buffets. I'm glad we gave this a try. The food was delicious! The service was very quick and attentive. The ambiance is cute. Would definitely come here again. If you're in the mood for Indian food, consider this spot! I sincerely don't think you'll be disappointed.

Rosie N.

Yelp
super super slow on a weekday and the food was subpar at best. Naan was the best part and genuinely is not worth 25 per person. Is this the Rio or the Broko?

Alex P.

Yelp
I'm updating this review because my original review was from when they first opened. Now, the restaurant runs smoothly. It's a great spot for a buffet lunch!

Yelp
I want to review to make some suggestions. This could easily be the best restaurant at the Rio with some small changes (not a tough competition here). The good: the decor was lovely, and some food was okay--the garlic naan (needed salt--a common theme), the tandoori chicken and chana masala. The theme of every dish was BLAND. And I always order mild when I eat at Indian restaurants, but mild should not mean devoid of spices. There was absolutely no flavor to the dal and butter chicken. It was honestly crazy how bland it was. Also, we were really disappointed by the number of choices. Please add some things like samosas, aloo gobi, lamb vindaloo, and chicken korma. The small serving area with few dishes barely felt like a buffet. The service was fine, not bad but not great. Add some flavor, and this place could be great!

Yelp
I didn't want to believe the bad reviews, and now that's $50 I'll never see again. The food is flavorless, which to me, seems almost impossible for Indian food. The sauces are runny/watery, sort of all merging on the plate if you put more than one curry/daal/etc on the plate. Did I mention flavorless? The garlic naan was undercooked... and while it sort of maybe tasted like it had been buttered, I'm pretty sure it was a butter flavored oil that was pooling in the bottom of the bread basket. I could have slurped the oil with a spoon. And finally, they have a sign (at least they forewarn you) that 18% will be added to EVERY check whether you're a party of six or one. P.S. there wasn't actually any service except the guy plopping my bucket of oil... uhmmm... bread... on the table with nary a smile.

Yelp
I was staying at The Rio so this was one of the options to eat at the hotel. I went in for the buffet with my boyfriend and we ended up with an $88 bill between the both of us for just the buffet and one basket of garlic naan that we shared. We didn't get any drinks, only tap water which tasted like it came out of a hose. The food was decent and tasty enough- I'd rate it as an average Indian buffet, nothing special- but the bill was honestly outrageous for the selection. There was only chicken available (butter, a not spicy vindaloo, and tandoori) for the meat selection as well, no lamb, fish etc. Maybe 3 vegetable choices (saag, potatoes, fried onions) and a sad salad bar. Sweet kheer for dessert. I don't know how this justifies $44 a person. I probably wouldn't have come in if I knew the price- there is no where it is posted so you kind of just get shocked with the bill when it's over. Service was fine, the place was mostly empty and the waiter kept our water full even though it tasted pretty bad. You get up to pay at the bar when you're done with an automatic 18% gratuity. The ambiance inside is 90s fancy with a giant chandelier and another room that has a garden view. There's a sign that says "Don't touch the elephants" outside posted on the door which I found entertaining to think about what must have happened on the casino floor to warrant it.

Yelp
My fiance and I recently stayed at the Rio Hotel and Casino for 2 nights and on our last day there we had a lunch at the Riyal Indian Buffet there at the Rio. The decor was very nice and the one waiter there was very friendly. Good choice of food, it's a very small Buffet and not a lot of choices. The chicken in both the chicken curry and butter chicken didn't taste very fresh as a result both my fiance and I came down with food poison. He unfortunately got a worse case than I did needless to say we are both pretty sick. This is the second time we both have come down with food poison after eating at a restaurant there at the Rio. The first place was Guy Fieri's Burro Borracho Restaurant at the Rio. So if you want to avoid spending part of your trip to Vegas sick with food poisoning then avoid these two restaurants
google avatar

Anthony S.

Yelp
For the price in Vegas, it's a good deal, I will admit, the amount of dishes offered is small (only 3-5 entrees, 2 desserts, a couple of side dishes, and salad) but it's at least medium quality food and the service and ambiance there are excellent.

Yelp
The Rio is not a place with a ton of food options these days since the pandemic kind of killed this resort, luckily, a restaurant like the Royal Indian Bistro is still open and serving some solid food. It's been about two months since my visit here but I still remember the experience pretty well. My fiancee and I were at the Rio for a comic book convention and after walking around for a few hours, it was time for some grub and I couldn't fight the smell of delicious Indian food coming from the Royal Indian Bistro. We stopped in a little after noon and the place had just opened. The lunch buffet special was only around $15 which is a fantastic price inside of any casino, and the waitress we had was wonderful and took very good care of us during our stay. I'm not an expert when it comes to Indian food, especially when it comes to buffets since I pretty much just grab stuff and shove it in my mouth. I know for a fact that I tried the Tandoori chicken, basmati rice, butter chicken, vegetable pakora, garlic naan, and one or two more things that I honestly do not remember the name of. Pretty much everything I ate was good and I honestly have nothing to complain about, the sauces were good, the food was cooked well, and the meat was good as well. Overall, Royal Indian Bistro was a solid place to grab some food, and especially at the Rio. Nothing I ate was spectacular and it's not really a place I'm going to go out of my way to go to, but I would definitely not be disappointed at coming back. The best part of the experience was the lovely service and the super clean restaurant and those are things worth experiencing.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem while waiting for a show at The Comedy Cellar at The Rio. At $25.99, it is a steal for "Vegas prices." Great variety and quality. A delicious happy accident! Great alternative for $20 burgers or $50 mediocre meals found elsewhere on the strip.

Yelp
Good buffet ! All food taste so flavorful and good, Everything is clean too I'm glad I came here I'll be back :)

Marvin T.

Yelp
Hidden lil gem in Rio Casino, only reason I co E here is for the buffet, food is delicious, good amount of options, even for first timers. Fair price too. I recommend giving this spot a try

Yelp
We went to dinner here on A Monday night. It was not horrible, it was not great. Considering that it was a buffet there were not many options. The only dessert seemed to be rice pudding. Everyone was very friendly. I was confused with the pricing. When we arrived we were told it was $30 per person. We had 4 adults and a toddler. When we got the bill they charged for the adults, but not the toddler... But they added a $22 gratuity...

Yelp
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Quite possibly the worst meal I've ever had in my entire life. Greeted by chaos, the bar woman pointed into the restaurant and said "I'll be with you in a minute", not once did she interact with us again until the end when we went to pay. No one took our drinks order, no one even acknowledged we had been seared. Another couple were dealt with properly and I had to catch the attention of that waiter. We ordered naan breads that never turned up, we complained and a bunch turned up that we never ended up eating because they were brought near the end of our second attempt at eating. The wine that was ordered took 20 minutes to arrive at the table. The food was lacking in both flavour, consistency, selection and just didn't exist in some cases. Some buffet items weren't replenished the whole time we were there. I am fully aware that I may have food poisoning or at least an upset stomach after the food I consumed. I was forced to pay way more than the slop we were served is worth. I've never been to an Indian Restaurant where the "Chicken Vindaloo" is the mildest and most tasteless dish on the menu... And the stuff you think will be mild will blow your head off. When it came to paying the woman working the bar was extremely dismissive when we complained about our experience, and tried to charge us full price for our meal, seconds after giving my friend a steep discount on his meal after he complained. She seemingly changed the numbers at random and we still paid a different price per head when compared to others.

Ran-e R.

Yelp
Not at all value for money. Dishes taste ok, not on the spot. Can avoid if going with little kids as they will not be able to eat for what you pay.

Chuck C.

Yelp
Bad service and food was cold, try another place. When I asked about a remedy I was ignored.

Margaret R.

Yelp
Food was tasteless. No service. Had to find the hostess to order wine. Spring rolls tasted of old oil. Naan bread was the best thing there. No dessert except for sad looking orange slices and chunks of melon. Would not recommend this place

Yelp
This is an elegant, beautiful restaurant. The seating is very comfortable and every table dawns cloth table cloths and napkins. It's definitely a fancy feel. I came for the lunch buffet. It was late in the seating around 3pm. There was a small group of customers when I arrived. They play nice yet modern muzak. Unfortunately, no other customers came in while I was seated. The food was very good. If you're not familiar with authentic Indian food, you may not realize it's pretty spicy. I enjoy spice and working up a sweat is no problem for me. However, I think the average American palate my think it's fire. That could be a part of why it's so slow. The food is tasty but I know some people think Tabasco is too much to take. I wouldn't say the spice is as hot but it made me perspire. The chicken vindaloo, butter chicken were particularly good. The tandoori chicken was good but not as flavorful as the other. I appreciate that they had a dish with paneer and also served Saag. They have a simple salad to start which was fine. I try to eat salad to start these days. I would come here again. I think it's important to try to support different cuisines in Vegas. It shouldn't be all TGIFridays or American Bar & Grill.

Leo E.

Yelp
What a nice place to eat dinner. The staff is absolutely wonderful, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Bt O.

Yelp
The most unethical restaurant, I have ever been to. They charged $132 for 3 after claiming it's $35 per person. On being asked for the breakdown, they claimed a 18% gratuity has been auto added. Even then, there's a $9 additional charge which they could not explain. Then they claimed that the bill generating system is down and no further info can be shared. Food was mediocre and service, a lackluster one. Definitely a place to avoid.

Yelp
After the meal I spent the next day with a warm Toilet seat best diet since Jenny Craig must of lost 20 pounds..I hate cottage cheese but without glasses I couldn't read the info card sauce was ok but after eating half of it my GF said she thinks it's cheese not chicken uggg
google avatar

Deepu G.

Yelp
They only offer buffet the whole day and the same items, they offer naan with the buffer at your table, but for me I had ask., I was waiting for atleast 15min after my seating still none of them came and asked me., I had to ask and then I got a attitude from waiter asking me rudely which one garlic or plain And food isn't great at all, they only 3 veg curries 2 non-veg curries and 2 starters and a dessert.. I don't think it's a great buffet.. As I was staying away from home for few days and I was craving for Indian food., I tried it, but I won't be going back

Andrea S.

Yelp
While this place looks nice on the inside, the buffet was a big disappointment and overpriced. I did get fresh naan bread and waited for the check for a very long time. I DO NOT recommend this place at all.
google avatar

Kenny T.

Yelp
Man... I really want to like this place, unfortunately I can't. I went on Friday night, the buffet cost $25, and if like to add garlic bread, will be $26. I went inside, and seated, waited for more than 10 mins for the sever come to my table. The selection is not much, and look kind of old too, I guess the all day buffet is not as fresh since the food been sitting there for awhile, I was there for maybe 20-25 mins, not once the server come and check on my table or any other 2 tables. Yes, Friday night at 7pm, only have total of 3 tables and no sever refilling my drinks and server is nowhere to be found. Definitely won't be back

Chris S.

Yelp
Great Indian buffet in Las Vegas. However, it is kind of little away from the Strip. They have a limited options (may be after Pandemic this may have happened) but still enough to try. Loved all food there both vegetarian and Chicken. I will be coming to this restaurant every time I am around that part of town.

Caressa Chloe G.

Yelp
The food was ok. There's not much of a selection and for lunch it's $25 plus 18% gratuity is included in your bill! Not worth the money!
google avatar

Rolando G.

Yelp
The food isn't anything to rave about. I too have tried the frozen Indian chicken tikki masala meals and they are on par with what I had here. I came on a lunch break around noon from a convention right here in the Rio, so my time and lunch options were limited to dining at the Rio. I decided to give this restaurant a try despite countless bad experiences logged here on Yelp. During noon the service was very good but the chicken masala was not. Although it wasn't terrible, it also wasn't very good. The chicken tasted like grey matter, but the orange sauce was pretty savory. There was really good naan brought super fresh and hot to my table, that I can't complain about. All in all, perhaps the other plates here are better but I won't be risking it. Good luck!

Muskaan N.

Yelp
Worst buffet . Tasteless food and very limited options available. Not recommended at all .

Pushpa S.

Yelp
Food quality wasn't good. Limited options not worth of money. Hope they improve the quality

Sublime S.

Yelp
DO. NOT. GO. HERE. Very expensive. Food is not worth anything it is all frozen and warmed and then gets cold when you eat. They charge way too much and the food is disgusting. The charge 18% gratitude fee. We were family of four and ate buffet. Food was nothing special or good or restaurant worthy ALL FROZEN FOOD. Total cost was 129 which is insane for very poor quality food...
google avatar

Joann T.

Yelp
What a disappointment! The atmosphere was very nice but the dinner buffet was not worth the trip or the price. The mango lassi was weak and the tandoori chicken was lukewarm and needed salt. I do not recommend the buffet to people that know and cook authentic Indian food. Also false advertising on Yelp when dishes are show with their prices but only the buffet was offered.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Am here having lunch and all I can say is.... WOW.... I'm not an Indian food type but brought my partner in cause she lives and and I was amazed it was wonderful... to heck with anyone posting less than a 5 banger for these place.

Yelp
I had a 6 hour layover here in Las Vegas before heading home to Honolulu on a nice day in November 2019. With that said, I made the flash decision to uber into The Strip and take on a buffet for lunch and some sightseeing, just because it was Las Vegas. I checked on Yelp to see where to go and what's highly rated among the community. I ultimately decided to hit up the Rio All-suites hotel to check out the Carnival World Buffet, but to my dismay, it was only open for dinner service. I searched on Yelp to find out that there's an Indian restaurant in the hotel that serves up an Indian cuisine and also had a very reasonable lunch buffet for $14.95!!! It was a godsend that I found this deal, especially when many entrees in Indian restaurants are at least that much, if not more. If you require extra food items, such as naan bread, it is not included in the buffet price. But, what a definite score on this place! Every time I hit up Las Vegas, I will try to make sure I hit up this place from now on. The lunch buffet is definitely a bargain! I loved the curries and the tandoori chicken. I had so much food that I nearly got bloated and sick, but it was worth it!! The food was so good!! Thankful I found this place while searching for something else that was 2-3x more expensive and it probably didn't include Indian fare. If you enjoy Indian cuisine at an affordable price, consider the lunch buffet at the Royal Indian Bistro inside the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Definitely hidden gem!! The overall experience here at the Royal Indian Bistro Las Vegas was quite nice and casual. The restaurant itself was nearly empty at 2pm, when I had to wait a bit after having a footlong Subway sandwich (also in the Rio hotel and casino) around 10:30am earlier that day for breakfast. I did enjoy the layout of the restaurant, so pristine and elegant. At 2pm, there wasn't any one there at the restaurant, but during the course of my visit, 2 separate parties came in to enjoy lunch here. I probably missed the lunch time rush or something. The Royal Indian Bistro is located at 3700 W Flamingo Road, inside the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. Thankfully, I was just here for the food and not the gambling, although it was tough to not gamble. The service here was good and even one of the staff here informed me that he eats here a lot. I don't blame him though, Indian cuisine is always amazing! The only caveat for me is the price, generally speaking, anywhere you go. But with a lunch buffet with a reasonable price, you tend to go to town - as evidence that I did on a Monday in November 2019. I can tell you that you should come here. It's probably best that you use uber or lyft here, although having a personal or rented car works too. Not sure if public transportation options are good here in Las Vegas, but the allure of awesome Indian cuisine is at your fingertips - if you can get here. For the most part though, my experience here at the Royal Indian Bistro (inside the Rio All- Suites hotel and casino) was quite good, although stuffing myself with all that jasmine rice wasn't too great. It was an amazing taste that I'm sure I will go back each time I get to Las Vegas. The price is what really lured me in. You can't get anything better than that. If you are in the area and love a good buffet that's not your typical Las Vegas buffet, consider coming to the Royal Indian Bistro for lunch, if you are in the area. At $14.95, it's a great deal and you'll be glad you came here. I know my taste buds had a royally good time. I highly recommend it! 5.0 stars for the overall experience. The food and the prices certainly. 4.5 stars for the service. Support local! A

Yelp
We happen to be staying at the Rio hotel and were starving, we stumbled upon the Royal Indian Bistro. I am so glad we did! The restaurant is very clean and decorated beautifully. The servers were very attentive and kind. The food was authentic. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with the garlic naan. It was one of my favorite Indian meals. It was so delicious we returned the next day for their all you can eat lunch specials. The lunch special is $15.99 for the India food buffet.

Yelp
Super overpriced for their food, wasn't all that fresh, and service was not the best only because they had not informed us of the fact that they only had a buffet. The ambiance was okay considering it was part of a casino but if the variety was better i would've reconsidered my decision!

Yelp
Dinner was ok. It was not worth for the price you pay ( approx 29$ per person for dinner). Very less variety and pakadas were very hard, other things like daal and aloo gobi was not so great. Only thing that was good was paneer.

Yelp
Food was so good and price was great. Love coming here when I'm on vacation. No reservations needed.

Yelp
Located off the casino floor of the Rio, this Indian restaurant didn't live up to the hope. Our server, Brian, was helpful and attentive at the start. We had not yet been to an Indian restaurant during non-buffet service hours. We learned this location serves meals in family style portions, which are ideal for groups and those who want to try a little of everything as they are discovering their flavor profiles for this cuisine. This is a high-class restaurant with opulent decor, soft lighting and easy-listening instrumental music. Ideal for romantic dinner or entertaining clientele. Our group ordered 2 nan and a veggie samboca. Although we were 6 of the 10 people in the business, we did not get the nan before the meal was served. The samboca was not delivered to us. A reasonable amount of time passed before the food started to be delivered. To my disappointment, the server returned to let us know the kitchen was running slow. Two main dishes were set at our table while we waited for rice or nan before we could begin enjoying. This created some strain for our party. We politely requested help from the staff and directly asked for the orders of rice to be brought to the table. The beverage server responded uncertain of what they could do, but said she would look into this request. A few moments later, the remaining dishes and the orders of nan were brought to the table and we were able to start enjoying while the food was hot. We opted for the chicken korma, surf and turf and butter chicken. These dishes had great flavor and were definitely freshly cooked. While the food was good, the speed and professionalism of the staff could have been much better. These elements really missed the mark for us. I would not return to this restaurant for standard dinner service. I would recommend others to visit during lunch for buffet option.

Yelp
We were just walking around the casino and saw the sign for the buffet. There were only a few things in the buffet, but they were amazing. They had food for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The food was tasty and had so much flavor. The buffet comes with either garlic naan or plain naan. I am still thinking of their chicken tikka masala. We will be coming back. Make sure you get your free glass of champs when you go to the buffet!
