A-Rod, Once Called a ‘Joke’ by Trump, May Soon Take Over the Trump Hotel in $375 Million Deal | Eater DC

"Since opening at the end of September, Vienna’s new Royal Nepal Bistro has been run by a team of five owners from different regions of Nepal, and the menu trots across the country with offerings like momos filled with goat curry, kabobs, paneer and oyster mushrooms in tomato gravy, and duck fried rice." - Stephanie Carter

Google
I loved this restaurant. The food was delicious. We ordered a lamb curry, goat curry, wild boar momos, and a sampler. The curry was savory without being too greasy, and the momos were moist and filled with stuffing. We also got cups of lentil soup, which were delicious and perfect because of the cold weather. Staff were also super friendly and even kept a cake in the fridge for us while we ate, and then they even provided plates and utensils for our cake afterwards. Parking was pretty easy to find as well.

Food was very good. Some dishes were a little strange tasting but wasn’t bad. Saffron chicken kabob was by far the best dish we had. The butter chicken was a tad bit too sweet and the lamb rack was a still too chewy but over all the food was good. Restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Food took around 1 hour and 15 minutes from ordering to serving at the table. It was a bit long of a wait but the day my party was there, the restaurant also had a really large table of 15 people in the middle so the longer wait was expected. Over all a good experience and would recommend trying!

Google
Exceptional! Must visit! Never disappoints! I’ve been here countless of times with different groups: food is authentic, and I always forget to click pictures of food, it’s super tasty, some are posted here. Chef Purna is phenomenal with what he does with authentic Nepali menu, and his special deserts, Sabin and Rabin serve really well, my heart out to all of them. My only place for Nepali food in VA. If any other compete them, please recommend, will be happy to try them out.

Absolutely amazing food and service! The momos were fresh and flavorful, and every dish we ordered tasted authentic. Warm staff, cozy vibe — easily one of the best Nepali spots in town!

Google
This place is absolutely great!! Had a really good time here , the boar momo, lamb momos and chicken, truly extraordinary. Love how they serve marinated boar sekuwa and the ambience great as well. I’d highly recommend everyone to visit this place💯

Google
Fantastic dumplings, tried lamb and wild boar. Garlic naan is also well made. The curry was flavorful, chicken was a little firm. Overall, the flavor for everything wasvwry good, definitely coming back for the dumplings.

Google
The staff is incredible and offered us a complimentary side dish which we requested. We expected to pay for it, and still gave a great tip. The food is really good too!

Google
The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. You can really taste the homemade recipes and high-quality ingredients in every dish. The mango lassi and boar momo were the standout highlights for me.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants I've been to. I wanted to try a different ethnic cuisine and chose Nepalese food. And I must say that I love Nepalese food. The restaurant is decorated beautifully inside. A lot of small tables for group of 4 and a bar area. The service was excellent. The workers were so nice and very attentive. They would come back and refill the water every time and clean our plates and table really well. The food was excellent. I got the rack of lamb. It came with rice and the lamb was marinated and cooked with their special Asian seasoning. It was delicious and the lamb was not gamey at all. We also got the momo platter. It filled me up! The food is spectacular here. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Wry tasty food. The butter chicken was really good. The staff was friendly and helpful

Yelp
Delicious Nepali food here, we're glad we picked the combo set so we could try a few different things. The rice also stood out, it was so fragrant and complemented the food well. Service was pretty good and it was not too crowded when we came on a weekend evening. Prices are generally pretty reasonable for the generous portion sizes, the momos were maybe slightly more expensive than you'd expect.

Yelp
The service was so quick and the were so friendly and answered all our menu questions! They even gave us complimentary lentil soup (which we are STILL talking about, it was that delicious!). The inside was so nicely decorated as well! The food was delicious we ordered the lamb momo's and they were the most tender and succulent dumplings we've ever had! We also ordered the bhojangriha chicken, the spicy Basecamp chicken aaloo, the garlic & ginger Naan, yellow daal, and a platter combo. We couldn't pick a favorite! Everything was so delicious and seasoned perfectly - we'd definitely come back.

Yelp
Service: attentive and kind servers. Very friendly staff present. Food: came here for restaurant week. Choice of appetizers and main. Beverage included, wine, beer or manhattan. Food is always flavorful. I love the wild boar momo. The chili cauliflower had great spices. The main course did come with basmati rice and your choice of naan (if you have a sorry of 2). I had a goat dish and my friend had a curry chicken. Meats were tender and sauces had great flavors. Ambiance: small restaurant but has a nice family vibe. They had some artwork from Nepal that was nice. I've been here a few times and haven't been disappointed yet. Staff is very kind and helpful. Love seeing how full it got around 7pm for their dinner service.

Yelp
A very neat restaurant along the strip of shops and eateries of Vienna! It seems spacious when you walk in but if you're not put into the booth section, the tables on the left side are sort of cramped. We were seated very close to others and it felt awkward :( Other than that, the service was great! No complaints there - pretty accommodating as well. The Complimentary Lentil Soup - absolutely delicious - very powerful in flavor but perfect with rice. The Chicken Momo - basically dumplings but their sauces were absolutely tasty and really gave it a unique taste. Nepali Pahuna Khana Set - this gave out 4 types of sides with rice and really was a good get for those who want to try a variety of tastes! (spinach was delicious, more lentil soup, beans, and a meat item (you can choose the type of protein - we got chicken). Nauni Chicken Masala (Butter Chicken) - definitely not worth; was pretty bland. Garlic & Ginger Nan - was also delightful! overall, 7.5/10 would come back to try the other items!

Yelp
Service was super slow to the point that I wanted to give this place an one-star while sat and waited with an empty stomach. Once the food arrived, I forgot we waited so darn long - the spices , the taste and the aroma...YUM! For your reference, we ordered 2 appetizers, 3 drinks, 5 entrees plus 1 kids meal, 2 desserts. The whole meal was 2 hours....we are quick eaters, btw.

Yelp
Tucked away in a side street of Vienna! A cute homey feeling restaurant The workers were friendly and gave a few recs when we asked They gave us a free soup appetizer cup which was so nicely spiced and great way to warm up the belly before the meal :) Lamb curry - 3.5/5 super tender soft lamb and a bit of a darker thicker curry sauce. Very good Chicken curry - 3/5 I liked the curry sauce in this one better than the lamb. It was brighter and tasted great! Problem is the chicken was dry Garlic naan - 3/5 more on the doughy little chewy side. Good garlic flavor Chicken momo - 3.5/5 flavorful and very packed with meat filling! The wrapper is soft. A lot of spices packed into the meat and matches well with both sauces mixed together. The orange sauce alone is also great

Yelp
I was surprised that there wasn't a line out the door on a Sat evening. We had a delightful experience. Nepal cuisine isn't Indian food while there are some similar dishes. We had a delectable experience with every dish bursting with flavor! Nothing sad about Aalo Sadheko; the potatoes were cooked to perfection and seasoned with deliciousness. Laphing is a wonderful street food dish. Warm ambiance and the most friendly atmosphere. Dishes are made to share. Definitely coming back to trying everything else!!

Yelp
Such friendly and accommodating staff and service made us feel right at home. The food was delicious with great recommendations from the waiter. We also had the momos which we ate before I got a chance to even take a photo! Highly recommend. We even met and had a lovely conversation with the chef and owner. Lovely spot to have an authentic Nepalese dinner.

Yelp
After reading positive reviews, we decided to try a Nepalese restaurant for lunch. It was fantastic. The spacious, clean ambiance featured tasteful Nepalese artwork. The food was excellent, not too spicy, and resembled Indian cuisine. We started with complimentary lentil soup, which was good. The Chicken Sekuwa was flavorful and fresh, while the Momo with chicken and vegetables was tasty, especially with its unique sauces. The chicken kabob was perfectly cooked for the main course, and the Tandoori Salmon had an outstanding balance of flavors. We enjoyed garlic naan, which paired well with the dishes, and finished with delicious iced watermelon juice and mint tea. We had a wonderful experience and plan to return to try more authentic dishes.

Yelp
Took an out of town friend here since he's never had Nepalese food and it was a huge hit! Everything tasted amazing! While we were debating what to order since everything on the menu sounded so good, our waiter brought us all complimentary lentil soups in cute tiny cups. It was wonderful and cozy on our cold evening dinner. We enjoyed several different types of momos for appetizer, and loved the sauces they came with. Especially the cilantro one. For entrees we ordered the salmon, goat curry, chickpea chaat. The salmon was so tenderly cooked and had great flavour, and tasted great with the cilantro sauce. The goat curry was the spiciest of all three dishes but tasty. The meat had a great texture and fell off the bone. Lastly the chickpeas were great with the garlic naan we ordered! We all left with happy full bellies!

Yelp
I checked out Royal Nepal Bistro at 131 Maple Ave W in Vienna, VA, and had a pretty great experience overall. If you're in the area and craving some Nepalese cuisine, this is a spot worth trying. Vegetarian Friendly: Yup, they have some nice vegetarian options. It's great to see a good selection for those who don't eat meat. Decor: The decor is good, with a clean and cozy atmosphere. However, I wish it had more cultural stuff related to Nepal to give it a more authentic feel. A bit more traditional decor would make the experience even better. Food Breakdown: I tried Lamb Momo, Vegetarian Momo, plus complimentary Lentil Soup. Food Highlights: The Lamb Momo was the standout for sure. Super flavorful and just the right amount of spice. The filling was juicy and well-seasoned, making it the highlight of the meal. of course you can't forget the classic Momo sauce which was the cherry on top. Portion Size: The portions were good. Each plate had enough to be satisfying without being overly filling. Perfect for sharing a few dishes with friends or family. Service: The staff was so kind and probably the best servers I have head in a while. Price: I think the prices are fair for what you get. Since this is the only Nepalese restaurant I've been to, I don't have a great reference point for other pricing, but I felt it was reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I Would I go Back: 100% I'd go back. I came for the momos and they definitely delivered. The flavors were on point, and the overall experience was enjoyable. I am looking forward to trying more dishes next time!

Yelp
Staff here was very attentive and helpful at answering questions. Parking is past the restaurant in a small lot near Rita's. Inside was super cute and homey. The soup we were given in the beginning was great and had a bit of a kick. We ended up ordering the butter chicken, lamb and goat. A little weird because they only gave us one rice for the three of us. The butter chicken was a lot more red than I expected compared to other places and the meat was super dry. I was disappointed in that dish but the lamb and goat were tender and flavorful. We also enjoyed the garlic naan. I think I would try and come back to try other things on their menu because there were many options and maybe we just chose the wrong dishes.

Yelp
This is the perfect spot for a quick Sunday dinner. It offers comforting food that is less than a five-minute drive away. The standout dish is Momo, which are mini dumplings that are incredibly delicious, with lamb being our favorite filling. The other dishes are quite similar to Indian cuisine but tend to be a bit sweeter. The restaurant is small and somewhat hidden. They have enough servers to promptly attend to all the tables, and the food is served relatively quickly. Overall pleasant experience.

Yelp
This place continues to blow my socks off- they deserve a Michelin recognition for how fresh and flavorful the food always is. Complex flavors with so many unique spices and the depth of the flavors is amazing. They were so patient walking us through gf df items, It's always excellent. Adorable cozy interior and staff makes you feel at home ! A must go when in vienna !

Yelp
Can't believe I waited this long to come here! It's been on my list forever because my Nepali friend introduced me to momos and told me I should check this place out. So glad I finally did!! It's in the heart of Vienna and the staff is so friendly and nice! The place is larger than you'd think and its usually pretty packed. We started with some momos, the sauces it comes in are so good! Make sure you dip it. Oh they also brought us a little serving of their lentil soup. So flavorful! We actually ended up ordering it the next time we came here. Naan is obviously a must, loved how soft and warm it was, you can tell it was fresh! Okay for the real food. Duck fried rice is out of this world! definitely recommend getting it. Butter chicken was perfect, perfect spice, perfect sauce thickness, enough chicken chunks! Wow so good! Cannot wait to come back again and this time bringing our friends! One is vegan and there's really great options on the menu! She's going to love it!!!

Yelp
Restaurant hours said it was closed at 4 but we called and they said they were open. Bench and table seating. Pleasant music playing and super friendly staff helped us with our selections. We started with complementary soup which was delicious as was the Chicken MOMO. Both our Tandori chicken and salmon meals were excellent. Great selection of beers, wine and cocktails. Staff checked in to make sure everything was going well. 5 star early lunch.

Lorraine H.

Yelp
A very pleasant place for dinner. Service was professional, prices moderate and the food was great. We were a party of 4 who all ordered different entrees and received 4 great meals.

Yelp
They start you off with complimentary daal that is delicious in a cup! The food was really good! We got the fulbari bread which was a sweet bread with good flavor! The veggie mo mos were really good too. The dumplings were well done with soft filling and two sauces on the side. The mango lassi was yogurt based and watermelon juice was sweet and fresh! The crispy rolls were extremely good and flavorful! THE AWARD WINNING DISH: chow mein! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I would come back just for that. The kurani was good for dessert too! The service was super good everything came out super fast and the people who worked were nice. The place was clean and had nepali decor and music in the background!

Yelp
First time getting food here, and we never have had Nepalese food, but wanted to try something new and I found this place. We did curbside togo, which is such a great service! (Inclusive and accessible!) Royal Nepal Bistro truly hit it out of the park. We got the deliciously spiced salmon tandoori which is pictured and comes with broccoli, potatoes ans rice. We also got the Cauliflower organic chicken that my husband didn't get a pic of but scarfed down. It was also crazy delicious, and so tender and flavorful! All veggies and rice were cooked perfectly! And the yogurt sauce! HIghly recommend this place!

Yelp
Authentic Nepal food. Really like the curry goat and butter naan. Mango lasse is also amazing

Yelp
Sublime. I have to be dramatic. It's that good! It's this cozy Nepali bistro in a cute part of town, with nice, attentive wait staff. It's a peaceful spot. It's the kind of place you almost don't want to tell people about but you want it to do well so you end up writing a review. The food is *so so good*. Does the Michelin guide know about this? Bib Gourmand? C'mon. When you sit down, they bring over a little espresso-size cup of yellow daal. This is the most wonderful thing that someone could give you when you're just walking in from a cold, blustery day. Rich and flavorful, smooth, with just the right piquant amount of spice. Warms you to the soul. I end up craving this stuff. I think if you're sick or depressed or you broke your leg, or whatever might be bothering you, the yellow dal will probably fix it. I'm a tea person. They make real masala tea (chai) here, not like a tea bag with milk splashed on top. Maybe this is dumb but when every coffee shop in the US is serving boxed chai concentrate, you notice when someone hands you a cup handmade with love or whatever. I've been learning to make masala chai at home myself, but I can never quite get this subtle flavor in mine. Way back when I was in college, Tibetan monks used to join in on Free Tibet Club meetings sometimes, and when they did, they brought along a carafe or two of delicious masala chai that was very like this. It tastes different from most of the Indian masala chai I've had. It's not the kind of thing I run into every day, and is well worth getting. What to order? I've tried a bunch of this menu and never been disappointed. My husband is low key obsessed with the duck fried rice. I love the okra. My brother likes the butter chicken, but tbh that's the one thing I'd avoid. There are more interesting things on this menu, and other places that churn out better butter chicken. The thing you can't leave without trying is the momos. Momos are perfectly seasoned Himalayan dumplings served with a pair of chili sauces (a pleasant mild/medium spice level, to my average-east-coast-white-girl spice tolerance.) They're the platonic ideal of dumplings. You can get a sampler platter, and if you have enough people at the table to eat a whole platter, then you should. All the fillings are a little different and they're all so good, it's hard to pick a favorite. I could keep singing the praises of my favorite spot in town, but you should stop reading and just go get some.
google avatar

Mitchel V.

Yelp
Water buffalo was overcooked (told the waiter my mouth was hurting from chewing...dried rice was good though) Momos were decent, I had 4 boar and 4 lamb...but truthfully had a hard time being able to tell the difference in taste Goat curry was also decent, the Naan with dried fruits and (I think honey drizzle) was good.

Joseph K.

Yelp
Have regularly eaten here since it first opened and have watched the menu evolve. Their service is very attentive if leisurely (they want you to enjoy your food not rush through it - take your time). The dining room is pleasant whether at a table or a booth. The food is superb, quality ingredients and perfectly blended spices. Be sure to get the momos and/or the quinoa and kale salad. Or ask for a recommendation from the staff. You can't go wrong.
google avatar

Maggie V.

Yelp
The service was fantastic, constant refills explanation of the menu and suggestions were greatly appreciated. I really enjoyed the ambiance, it was rather sunny when I went and I was facing a window so it was a little distracting until the sun went away. I ordered the butter chicken and while I was super excited, the food did not have much flavor. It had a small kick to it but not the rich butter chicken taste. We also ordered the goat curry that was fantastic in every way! Im willing to try them again.

M H.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place, super delicious, nice ambiance, and great service. We went as a group of 4 for an early dinner and shared family-style so we could try everything, because none of us have had Himalayan/Nepalese food before. They started us with a free sample of lentil soup and oh my gosh that was some of the best soup I've had in recent memory. Packed with flavor. We then got a wild boar mo mo (dumplings) which were perfectly cooked and came with super tasty sauces. As for entrees, there wasn't a thing we didn't like. I think my personal favorites though were the shepherd's cottage lamb curry and the garlic ginger naan. The goat biryani was really delicious but just be careful of bones. We had hot masala tea and that was really good too!! Will definitely be returning!
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in a tight ally way and it's easy to miss when using navigation. Additionally there's not much parking space since it's shared with other businesses, I however managed to get a parking space, but it probably gets tight during busy hours. As others have mentioned, I really enjoyed the lentil soup that came in a small cup. It almost didn't taste like lentil and more like a chili. I wouldn't mind eating it over rice. We ordered a bunch of dishes as can be seen in the pictures. I won't elaborate since this place has so many great reviews already. That being said if your used to Indian food you will find the same dishes here taste similar but with less sugar, which I think is a good thing.
google avatar

Julia S.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Nice vibe also. My toddler was also really happy to be given his own little plate and kid friendly knife and spoon. It kept him entertained before and during his meal. The food was excellent, and it was really nice that they brought a complementary little cup of lentil soup, which was honestly to die for! Will definitely bereturning again!
google avatar

Caryna F.

Yelp
Another 5 star review for RNB. We were there on a Saturday night. Moderately busy. Service was a tad slow...but definitely managed well. About 2 hours for dinner. The wait staff regularly checking on is and letting us know when our food was coming out. Good communication. Ambiance was very nice. Staff were attentive and nice. We really enjoyed all the things we ordered. In addition to these photos we ordered the Chicken kabob and chicken saag. I'm going to say, the dumplings platter was hands down my favorite. Get this for sure. We will be back. Nice mellow evening. Relaxing. Nice place. Comfortable.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal. The Royal Nepal Bistro is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and that's due to both the food and service. On the food side of things, it's all just really good - the momos are good, the curries are good, even the spinach is somehow the best spinach I've ever had in my life. If you like Indian food or other similar cuisines, you'll love the Nepalese food here. Even better, on the service side of things, Royal Nepal Bistro is equally excellent: the servers are overwhelmingly friendly and happy, to the point where you can't help but be happy as well. You really owe it to yourself to check this place out.

Daisy N.

Yelp
Loved everything we ordered - momo platter, buff sukuti, goat curry and garlic naan. I loved loved their naan, not something I think I have said about any naan. It was so light and pillowy, I could have eaten it by itself. Service was friendly and food was well-paced. I almost didn't find the small street where the restaurant is located but glad we slowed down and found it. There is even a parking lot available. Though the signs don't list this restaurant as one of the businesses, the waiter reassured us that we're good to park there.
google avatar

Dakota M.

Yelp
The Momo were good. We had a half lamb and half boar order. I would suggest getting the bigger portion as it takes a while to prepare and they brought us the wrong one before. The lamb was very good and I would recommend getting that. I do wish the lamb was pair with the green mint almost chimmchuri sauce. That sauce was given for the boar momo. For the entree we got Napali pahuna Khana. We choose our choice of meat to be Chicken. I think this is a very fun experience for a date night. There were 4 small dishes that came out. 3 were veggitarian and the last one is your choice of meat (our tasted like buttern chicken). You get Rice as well, yogurt and some spiced / pickled carrots and what I believed to be squash veggy. It was a fun experience guessing what the various chuttney were and asking each other questions on likes/dislikes. Overall I think it was a cute place and the food was of good quality. I do think there was a lacking in attentiveness, customer service and speed of orders from kitchen. There were only two people working tables and bar area and we saw a cook come out to help at one point. People were walking up to hand in checks to cash out, others were all set to go and standing waiting on box's. For me personally, I knew what I wanted coming in and I feel like it still was 2 hours from sitting down to getting cashed out for 1 app and an entree. If you are in the area and have the time, I think this is worth a try. The flavors hit really well, the ability to sample the culture and portion share is delightful. It's another cute gem for Vienna!

Yelp
First time having Nepalese food, and it was amazing! I went here today with my friend, and we both enjoyed our meal. We were told that the food is influenced by both Indian & Chinese cultures (primarily 80% Indian). Excellent and super friendly service, & the food was delicious! Upon being seated, we were given some lentil soup in these cute little mugs. What a nice welcome treat! All the staff were very nice and attentive to us. We ordered the momo platter with a combination of chicken & veggie as our appetizer; chicken curry and chicken masala as our entrees; and a side of garlic naan bread. Everything had great seasoning and flavor. The garlic naan bread was crispy and fresh, and the rice was nice and fluffyyy. I want moreeee!! I will definitely come back here next time I'm in the Vienna area again. Thank you Royal Nepal Bistro for your excellent customer service & food :)

Yelp
My very first time having Napalese, absolutely spoiled finding such a good Napalese Restaurant. We got the Momocha Napalese Style Dumpling, with Chicken & Lamb and it was delicious! The dumpling had had the right amount of chew and the filling was so flavorful! The Clay Over Roasted Wild Boar was absolutely so so good! It was cooked perfectly and so juicy. The Royal Chicken Curry was soooo good! Right amount of spice but not too overpowering. This absolutely exceeded my expectation and looking forward to having more meals here.
google avatar

Yelp
Vienna's Nepalese restaurant rocks. My favorite things are the momos (Nepalese dumplings), the chowmein (a tasty and slightly spicy variation on the classic American Chinese dish), and the veggie roll (also a variation on classic Chinese). My wife and friends enjoyed the Fulbari Naan (a sort of sweet fruit version). I was less impressed with a few dishes slathered in yogurt sauces (but that's on me - I hate yogurt). We look forward to eating at the Royal Nepal Bistro regularly and trying out lots more dishes.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Himalayan cuisine, and I absolutely loved it. The restaurant exceeded my expectations--the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, and the food was simply delicious. This place is definitely going to be one of my new favorite spots!

Yelp
Exceptional food--well balanced, so fresh, Perfectly spiced, nice heat. The chicken and the veggie mo-mo was so perfect. The accompanying sauces were just right. We ordered the first meal listed on the entrees and it was wonderful! So many flavors, excellent rice, the pickled cucumber.... The service was so attentive but never intrusive. The space is spotlessly clean, quiet and very pleasant. Our first time and definitely not our last. Very highly recommend!!!!

Yelp
My husband and I love this cozy, intimate restaurant. The food is tasty and the service is excellent. I've come several times, and every single thing I've tried on the menu has been very satisfying. The complimentary soup at the beginning of the meal feels like such a treat. Definitely get the Momos!!
google avatar

Joann M.

Yelp
Lovely lunch... today we had a starter of pork belly. Nice large pieces served with a siracha type hot sauce that aired nicely.... And we also we had a starter of their luscious lentil soup... always a nice start to a meal especially on a cold day For our main we ordered the Fulbari naan ... this time there were pomegranate seeds on top.... We also had the boneless lamb curry which comes with rice. Perfect amount for sharing Hubby had a mango lassis while I sipped on a chai!

Yelp
So glad that Royal Nepal has another location. Really enjoyed their dishes at their Alexandria restaurant and I'm glad to say everything here tasted just as delicious. Everything was well seasoned and quality ingredients are used, you can taste the difference. Nothing was overly greasy or salty. Online ordering was quick and simple. Employees were welcoming and friendly. Our takeout order was neatly wrapped and labeled. We will definitely be back to try more items on their menu!

Yelp
Very interesting flavors..staff was nice at pickup. Portions are a bit small for what's received.

Yelp
When the previous restaurant of this spot went out of business, probably govt COVID related, we were saddened, only to find another Nepalese spot took over and is running better than ever. It's the second location for the Alexandria Nepalese staple. Their cocktails are very tasty, and the dishes are super tasty. Don't sleep on the water buffalo. Yes, it's tough, yes it's spicy, but this is why you try new foods. We've had it a few times, and each time the head waiter warns us that it's going to be tough. Fine by us. It's typically a street food/bar food anyways. I'd love to get ahold of some water buffalo and see if braising can affect the texture. Always get the Momo's, and they'll even do a sampler for you, but the wild boar is out fave. Round out with the goat curry and their beyond excellent garlic naan, and you've got a solid meal. They also have a dessert naan that we order with the meal, bc why not? It works with the spice! They are frequently running low on cocktail ingredients, so they need to work on having more supplies of those staples. Please don't miss out on this spot if your in Vienna, as it's a bit hidden from the main road. Plenty of parking as well, which is pretty nice as well.

Yelp
Went back to try again and it was just as delicious and fresh as the first time. Love these momos!

Yelp
The decor was very nice, full bar, excellent service, and the meal was beyond amazing. Next time I'll take pictures before i devour each dish. Exceptional options like vegetarian, wild boar, goat, etc... Also I think it was the most softest naan I've ever had. I will definitely be going back and take the whole family.

Yelp
Not bad! Came here craving so momos and was not disappointed. Looks nice and fancy inside. The servers are extremely attentive!! I really enjoyed the service and hospitality here. We started with the complimentary lentil soup which was delicious. We had Chicken Momos (8 pieces) and I loved the sauces it came with. Nothing will replace my favorite momos in DC, but this is close! The Butter Chicken was not bad either, but I've had better at other places.

Yelp
This is the only Nepales restaurant I have been to, so I can't make a comparison. The server helped me make a selection. The food was good.

Yelp
Same location as the previous MoMo House; however, this place is way better, and the menu is whole lot bigger. They did take a bit time to prepare the food, which means everything was fresh-made, even the momos. So delicious, can't wait to go back. Besides the food, the owner/servers were very attention to detail. During the cleaning process, they wiped every single chair. I really appreciate that, I don't know how many time I've sat on grease and food. Highly recommended if you're a foodie or into Himalayan food.
