"Royal Palm Grill & Deli is an ideal place to take family for brunch or to find just the right food to nurse that Sunday morning hangover. This lesser known gem in Homestead is only open for breakfast and lunch serving up diner style breakfasts and Southern lunch specials. The three egg omelettes served with hashbrowns are always a favorite." - Amber Love Bond

"Inside the pharmacy on the corner of Krome and Campbell is this family owned and operated comfort food destination. Enjoy hot sandwiches such as the Philly cheese steak and patty melt, as well as the heartier pork chops or country fried steak with choice of two sides and a roll. Royal Palm also serves breakfast all day every day with a slew of favorites like the Lorraine frittata, steak and eggs, and challah French toast." - Stacy A. Moya

Google
Super cute hometown feel diner. The food and service were amazing! If I ever am in the area again, I will definitely return

Google
Stop and have lunch with my Mother , sister, and myself around 1:45pm Tuesday June 24th 2025 We sat next to the door facing Krome Ave (So The staff knows who we are). Didn't get our Server name so my apologies, he was AWESOME ! Young guy who was warm, friendly and welcoming, also the gentlemen named Billy. The meal was absolutely Delicious and Outstanding. If there were a ten star rating, I would have put ten stars across the board. A great dining experience, from the moment I walked In until the moment I left. Hats off to all of you, JOB WELL DONE and wish you all continue success. Wanda, Esther, & Lamar

Google
We had a great experience! Good was good, and there was a nice kind of peace that's uncommon in Miami while I was there, definitely coming back.

Carlos Acuna

Google
Atmosphere takes a hit, but only because it was under renovation when we went for the first time ever on 06/21/2025, and we even thought it was closed down as we arrived. Everything after that was spectacular. The staff was super friendly, the food was very delicious. The fried tilapia was exquisite, and all pur food was super tasty. The prices were also very reasonable. We are definitely going back. A must try no matter what craving you may have. They have a good variety of breakfast diner style food.

Rachael Miller

Google
Delicious diner with great breakfast food and a super friendly staff! Loved it!

Liyana

Google
This restaurant might give a hole-in-the-wall vibe, however, don’t be fooled by the appearance cause they serve great food and coffee! We enjoyed everything that we ordered (French toast, eggs, and sausage). Staffs were also friendly and attentive. They were busy and had a lot of pick up orders, but we didn’t have to wait long to get our food.

Google
Royal Palm Grill is a most excellent old time, authentic diner! From the chrome stools at the counter, to the booze with the wooden tables to the eclectic staff with the greatest hospitality service… Super excellent I had an omelette and some grits with coffee… All hot and perfectly cooked. The grits were super hot and super smooth and just delicious. The coffee kept coming and Brandi made me feel like a regular… And this place is built on regulars! They have some specials… But the menu choices are good. If you like old Timey authentic, this is a place for you.

Google
This place gives the most local diner vibes I’ve maybe ever seen. I think we might have been the only non regulars in the joint. The food was absolutely top notch. Pancakes were delicious, bacon was crispy and flavorful, coffee was hot and plentiful. Not sure I could ask for much more from a diner. The service was also on point. Very friendly and made you feel at home. Only ding on atmosphere is that it was undergoing renovations and felt a little messy / dirty as a result.

Yelp
The best breakfast I have had in a while! So unexpected in a converted pharmacy, looks are deceiving! This is truly a hidden gem. The Denver omelette was delicious with the plentiful amount of pepper, onion, ham, and cheese to hold it all together!

Ochy O.

Yelp
I don't live in the area but when I'm down here this place is an absolute must. A true hidden gem. They recently changed the outdoor signage so it no longer has the original name of the Drugstore but it still has that old charm. The closest thing to a southern diner in south Florida. The food is amazing no matter what you order but I highly suggest the catfish and of course the biscuits and gravy! I've always ordered to-go and they're quick and attentive. My only complaint is that the price of each dish can add up if you've got a family of 4 or more.

Zoé R.

Yelp
The food was great! We got chili cheese fries, RPG burger (my boyfriend rates it a 9 out of 15) with coleslaw and chicken philly with chips. We forgot to take a picture before eating, but this is what we had left since we were stuffed! Service was quick and the atmosphere is cool. Leftovers tasted good when warmed! Lol.

Doal F.

Yelp
I won't talk about the service, except to say it was mediocre at best. I ordered the Royal breakfast and home fries. The eggs and bacon were good, but anything that had been made on the grill had a nasty old grease taste of a grill that hasn't been cleaned in a while. I simply could not eat the pancake and grilled potatoes. I got the shits a few hours after eating there.

Kat Y.

Yelp
Although this place looks sun down it's hands down the best spot for a home cooked feel meal. Love coming here

Leslie H.

Yelp
It changed! No more gluten free. Can't go anymore. And the food wasn't as good as before, unfortunately. That's all for now.

Nicole F.

Yelp
Talk about a local gem! A very hidden spot that is half pharmacy half diner. You wouldn't expect much by the looks of it but the food is good and greasy and it is clearly a local favorite. Recommend as a stop on your way to the Everglades.

Marianela M.

Yelp
I have been coming here since I was 14 - I'm now 21- and quite frankly this is a hidden gem of Homestead. It has sentimental value, holding memories for ages. This time around Billy, and his team showed me what exceptional service, quick delicious grub, friendly staff and relaxing ambience truly mean. I will always eat here with friends, but today I came alone, the first time I ever went to eat lunch alone, Billy made me feel at home and made my day with his smile and uplifting spirit. The grilled cheese, potato salad and Mac & Cheese are all a hit, but I've never had anything on this menu that wasn't a 5 star meal. I don't want it to ever change. Thank you to all the staff and the kitchen for the exceptional service for YEARS!!

David D.

Yelp
Usually there is no issue with the Royal Palm Grill but today was different. Ordered the Country Breakfast and the portions shrunk. Didn't know if they switched to small eggs for the scrambled eggs but it was gone in three bites. Side order of grits was $2 and it equaled a half cup of grits, if it was even that! The instant grits were still a little crunchy. I know the economy isn't up to par but I'm under the impression that you should get what you pay for even if you have to raise the prices some, but unfortunately that was mot the case today.

Elisabeth N.

Yelp
Nice place, feels very local. We visit this place for breakfast and it was a great experience. Don't miss this palce if you in the area

Robin B.

Yelp
Great breakfast joint. This is a true old fashioned dinner with all the food you would expect and excellent service. There is usually a wait on Saturdays and Sundays but it moves along quickly. You don't want to miss having breakfast here.

Joe C.

Yelp
Outstanding service...and omelets. This place brings to mind the old mom and pop diners I was used to, growing up in Virginia. Top notch!

Big Daddy C.

Yelp
Awesome food and service. Real fast is FIRE! Mac n cheese needs some work but the pork chops and gravy will have you coming back

Carly M.

Yelp
Four stars for sentimental reasons and full disclosure, I worked at royal palm for many years about a decade ago. It always feels like home. The waitresses and buster always know your name and drink order even when you haven't been in years. The food is always timely and with hearty portions. They've expanded to dinner service and their already extensive menu has grown. It's one of the best places for a no fuss breakfast in a clean, welcoming atmosphere.

Matthew M.

Yelp
Royal Palm Grill has been around for a long time. The breakfast food is always on the average. The pricing for the food is over Cracker Barrel. When you go to tip, the options start at 18% and go upward to 30%. I won't mention any names of the staff, but I would say it's is poorly run. The interior is very dated and dirty as well as the bathroom are in horrible shape. Today was my last day!

Tatiana O.

Yelp
It is a very old pharmacy/diner so when you walk in it's not the most appealing location. But hidden in the back is an open kitchen and fresh/ fast food! Definitely love coming here with my husband on breakfast dates

Irma S.

Yelp
My favorite part of traveling for work is when i get to head back to my hometown in South Florida, Homestead, where I ALWAYS find a seat at my numero uno spot for a good ol "home cooked" meal, Royal Palm. ⁣ .⁣ Family owned and operated serving up BREAKFAST ALL DAY to the community since 2005 with One of its original diner locations. Don't let the outside fool you, Royal palm is a staple in the community and the service goes far beyond the love-filled food. The walls inside are covered with history of the growing town we call home. Where many people are familiar with homestead because of hurricane Andrew, there are so many places like this one that we consider gems. So if you ever find yourself in Exit 1, be sure to stop in for a hearty one. ⁣ .⁣ Featuring: ribeye steak, eggs, and home fries ⁣

Mike M.

Yelp
Ima sucker for grills with a counter and this place met all my expectations. I've become a regular because the menu is extensive and the food is good! Burgers and patty melt are great as well as the breakfasts What can I say- I'm asucker for places like this. Great American food

W S.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast in pharmacy. What a nostalgic throwback! Will return here. Servers super nice and attentive. They are all comfortable in their jobs and very efficient- everyone did an amazing job.

Chris W.

Yelp
Awesome food and service. The country frittata outstanding and Hayley was the best. A must breakfast place to eat.

Chris K.

Yelp
Always a nice place to go for breakfast. I like to sit at the counter staff is always great food is always excellent

May R.

Yelp
This is a traditional local spot to eat breakfast. They do need major renovations. It doesn't cost a dime to dust and fix a frame that's crooked. I hope this place turns around and stays a classic spot for generations to come but this business really has to pay close attention to details.

Aminah B.

Yelp
The service was ok , the restaurant itself was kinda run down, although I don't discredit places fully off of that because some of the best food I've had have been in kind of hole in the wall places. This one wasn't one of them. The food was bland and greasy to me and the weirdest part about the place to me isn't that it's in a pharmacy, it's the fact that they serve dolphin on the menu. Yea you read it right. DOLPHIN . I should've left when I saw that lol. My husband and I went in the morning for my birthday and left feeling sick after our meal so I was down for the count the rest of my birthday. I am giving it 3 stars for the service only. I wouldn't go back though.

Angie L.

Yelp
Not bad for a mom & pops restaurant, I dined in and had the "Royal breakfast" which consist of Two french toast, 2 scrambled eggs & 2 sausages for $6.99. I sat at the bar so i was served immediately, the food was okay, staff was a bit of a nuisance, they were having all sorts of personal conversations while your trying to eat, including diarrhea, smh. So i don't think i will return no time soon.

Jordan G.

Yelp
Excellent classic American breakfast food. The country frittata was excellent, and the biscuit was just as it should be. Tasted like I was in Tennessee, great food, very friendly people. Seems like you are eating at home with the atmosphere here, very cool. I'm certain everything here would be good. Come check it out!

Yelp
Despite being a three star diner, this is my go to breakfast stop in downtown Homestead. I have noticed that a lot of customers are regulars, which says a lot about a location. I wanted to give this place a higher rating, but couldn't justify any more than a three. PROS Diverse menu, many items on the menu are not available ay other diners. From several varieties of fritatas to several varieties of simple egg sandwiches, this place covers any breakfast yearning you may have. My favorite is the Greek omelet. They use a sharp cheese which sets off the blandness of the other indgidients. Despite my several visits, I have not been able to move past this menu item. Many regular customers attest to the good qualities of this diner. CONS Service is spotty. I feel the waitresses spend more time on the regulars and give the typical poor customer service to the rest in the typical homestead way. Timing of meal delivery. My meal was delivered several minutes before my toast. How difficult can it be to make toast? Food safety. The last state inspection showed ten deficiencies. One CRITICAL deficiency was lack of proper dishwashing equipment. This has been a long standing deficiency and until mange mentioned corrects this food safety will be at risk. One inspection in 2014 had 38 deficincies. Wow, that's in Chinese restaurant territory. No Siracha sauce :(

Nick Q.

Yelp
I've been hearing rumors for years.... it's true! This place is defrickenlicious! Catfish with sunny side up eggs and hash browns! Does life get any better at noon on a Saturday? Nooooooope! Seriously crispy and fried to perfection, reminds me of southern Virginia and a place in Ohio I used to eat at as a kid. My girl had the Greek Omelette and loved it, it was full of spinach, onion, peppers, feta, and more! The staff was super friendly, might just be tbe best service in Homestead! They were so sweet when I called ahead to make sure the fish and eggs was "Nick friendly", I was soooo excited! I can't wait to come back and try the friend Mahi with eggs!

Gulfem A.

Yelp
Well its an ok diner. Doesnt look that great from the outside but the food is good. So if you are looking for inexpensive food around the area, it might be the right one to go to. Dont expect a new place tho. It needs some renewing. I ate Philly Cheese without cheese and it was all right. My friends enjoyed their sandwiches as well. Its more like a breakfast and lunch place so they dont have lots in the menu. Dont expect salads etc. They share the area with the store next door so the bathroom is next door. Service was pretty fast and the waitress was nice. So if you are looking for eating something fast for cheap, this might be the place to go to. Its open till 4 pm btw.

Ramiro R.

Yelp
Food prices have gone up also they have added a COVID surcharge of $2.00 and not giving a military discount because of COVID they are milky money out of the consumer I have been a customer for years but what they are doing adding a surcharge with out putting a sign is wrong I will never return

Diana W.

Yelp
I love this place for Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Excellent food and service with outstanding staff.

Rachel D.

Yelp
Their breakfast is phenomenal. You get A LOT of food for your money. All of it is extremely yummy, some of the best French toast I've ever had. I recommend the cinnamon raisin French toast! I ordered the pancakes this morning and again, just exceptional. My boyfriend ordered the NY strip and got a massive hunk of meat that he couldn't even finish. We ordered in every morning because of isolation, and food was still amazing even to go. I can't imagine how absolutely amazing it would have been fresh at the restaurant!

Roberto R.

Yelp
Never realized there was a restaurant inside Royal Palm Pharmacy until I came across the reviews on yelp. It definitely feels like a retro diner with the black/white checkered floors. Feels odd sitting at a booth looking at the bedside commodes on display while you eat but it adds to the old charm of this place. The food was delicious. I ordered the cinnamon French toast with strawberries, a side of bacon and a cold glass of OJ to wash it all down. Looking forward to trying their other dishes for lunch. (Breakfast is served all day)

Ashley O.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much but it was actually really good. i went for breakfast and had a burrito but my boyfriend had a burger and both were fantastic. everyone was incredibly nice and the food came out very fast.

Kurt K.

Yelp
I like a diner that I can watch the food being made. It is pretty cool to see the creations a good cook can make on four burners and a hot top. Obviously, a locals place as the staff knew a majority of the clientele. the temperature in the back was 80 degrees based on the thermostat on the wall. However, the front of the diner near the drug store was comfortable as I walked through. The have a plenty comprehensive menu of standard fair. I had an omelete, home fries, and a biscuit. Omlette was pretty good and I customized it a little. Home fries were ok and the biscuit was not as fluffy as a southern restaraunt should be. Looking forward to my next visit to try some of the dishes I saw being created. The wait staff is all no frills, take your order, bring your food (fast) and here is your check.....pay up front. Perhaps if I was a regular I would have been chatted up more but I can appreciate the get em fed mindset. On a final note....they have a counter and that is a long lost feature of most diners so I am glad to see it still lives in the diner that is in the Rexall drugstore. Yes the Rexall Drugstore. @kodiak_kuisine #kodiak_kuisine

Myrna R.

Yelp
Wonderful place. Local people. No frills. Everything I gotta is fresh. Made to order and served hot. The servers are always so friendly and the short wait is a tell tale sign that it's worth driving all the way down here from wherever you are to get a nice plate of food. I've tried their omelettes and their sandwiches. All are great. Coffee is served in a ceramic mug and is always hot and topped off. This is a greaT place should you find yourself on Krome Avenue. The restaurant is inside a drugstore and has been here since the 50's. Ask for Brandy. She's great!

Donna L.

Yelp
Traveling through from visiting the Everglades. Stopped by for breakfast. Super friendly staff and super quick service. Food was great as well. Nothing fancy, which I appreciate. Homestyle, country cooking is a good description.

Janette C.

Yelp
Great food and Great service!! Feels like your in an old school movie when you walk in. I will definitely be coming back!

Kristina M.

Yelp
Everything on and off the menu is amazing with super fast service. Been coming here for years and this is the secret gem of homestead. Don't judge it by the outside this is the best home cooked (ish) meal

Jessica G.

Yelp
I tend to order takeout and have not been disappointed. The Buffalo chicken salad is delicious. Breakfast selection is great too! Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. Good portions are just right.

Corin G.

Yelp
I have been coming here ever since I was little!! My favorite item is... EVERYTHING!! Ahahahha. I have a special place in my heart for this restaurant. It's such a gem!! They are always doing their best to keep up with the rush hours!! The cooks are fabulous and always cook with love. Sometimes the servers don't always smile but that's because they get SLAM PACKED and just try and focus on food delivery and making sure you have everything you need. Love love love this place. I always take friends here that are visiting and they are BLOWN away with the whole half pharmacy half restaurant!! LOVE!!!!!!! Sometimes I get pancakes, waffles, hash browns, bacon, sausage. Other times I get the lunch menu either wraps, burritos, sandwiches. ITS ALL AMAZING!!

Cristina P.

Yelp
I only rate this place a 3 because A it's super small and crowded up inside a pharmacy which I find totally out of place, B when there's a long wait line everyone is staring at you eating and it's uncomfortable and C their coffee tastes like my well water in my backyard! The breakfast food is ok nothing you can't just as easily make at home but the waitress is super friendly and you get your food pretty quickly! Honestly guys I live in the Redlands and can't seem to find a decent breakfast place out here HELP!

Fiorella M.

Yelp
Ok so let me start off by saying I'm not a huge diner fan but I think this one beats literally all the other diners in Florida. Everything about this place is great. Let me start off by explaining the ambiance, ok so it's SO retro feeling like you literally were on the set of Back to the Future where McFly beats Buff up lol (sorry if you don't get the reference) but anyway it's a diner attached to a pharmacy like back in the day. Everything even the booths are original and idk I just really love the vibe of this place and love how old school it is. One more thing about the ambiance: the people who work here have been working here for years, like more than 10 for a few of them. I feel like that shows good management and good management is always portrayed in service which this place is great at. I love the fact that all the servers know the entire menu in detail. They're always very attentive and hospitable. Last but not least, the food. The food is amazing, every time I come here I order something different and by once have been disappointed. The waffles are cooked to perfection, the sweet potato fries are the best, the all day breakfast is so good. Literally everything is amazing, even the fried eggs. Anyway, if you haven't gone you're missing out. Seriously. Ok I'm gonna shut up now because I can totally keep ranting about how good this place.

Jay J.

Yelp
Great food, but what really made our day special was Alejandra! We stopped by with a party of 10 before a wedding and she went above and beyond to make our morning special! Again, food was fantastic but Alejandra made the difference! Great personality, very accommodating, extremely hospitality and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Gave us great recommendations! A+!

Claire R.

Yelp
The best breakfast I've had in a long time! This was the Spanish omelette with hash browns and a biscuit, friend had a wrap and another friend had the royal breakfast. Each one was delicious! Service was great. Definitely coming back!

Katie F.

Yelp
Found myself waiting around with my boyfriend as his car was being serviced at the Honda dealership and found Royal Palm Grill & Deli as the only open restaurant nearby with exceptional ratings. This restaurant's ambiance is truly awesome and unique since its an old southern diner inside of a dated looking pharmacy. All the servers immediately greeted us with smiles as they ushered my boyfriend and I into a small corner booth at the front of the restaurant. Didn't take me long to decide that I was going to order a monstrous southern breakfast all to myself consisting of: a yummy ribeye steak surprisingly perfectly cooked at medium rare, two over easy eggs , home fries, a biscuit and an extra order of biscuits smothered in white sausage gravy. I tried to devour my $8 meal but despite steady efforts still couldn't finish the entirety of what was served and had plenty to take home as leftovers. My boyfriend ordered the hot corned beef sandwich that came with a hearty serving of fries, priced at an easy $6.59. He absolutely loved his ginormous sandwich and said it was the best Corn Beef he had had in a while. A great welcoming family-friendly southern comforts diner that is definitely worth your time if you find yourself nearby. Go hungry and go wild, the prices are far from dangerous! IG: KFitzEats

Brenda R.

Yelp
This towns best country diner! Sit at the counter and watch the owner and chef prepare your meal or sit in a booth or table. The menu is stacked with daily specials!

Yohermo E.

Yelp
This place is great if you're looking for a quick breakfast. The breakfast Wrap was delicious and exactly what I was looking for. The service was phenomenal. I went really early in the morning therefore the waitress had her eyes on my eating process the whole time. She kept asking me if everything was fine or if I needed anything else. Plenty of parking out back. This restaurant/mini market has been here for years. It has an old school feel which I enjoyed very much. This restaurant would be great for breakfast/lunch if you're thinking of visiting the Fruit and Spice Park. I would stop here with the whole family for a meal before heading over to the Fruit and Spice Park. The place was clean but the tiles on the floor looked dirty because again the establishment has been in the area for years. I'm thinking the tiles have never been changed. Overall a great experience. I will definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Nicolas L.

Yelp
Royal Palm Grill & Deli is essentially a standard American diner located in a pharmacy. I tried the Country Breakfast, which included Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, and Biscuits and Sausage Gravy. The food was good and fairly priced but nothing overly special. Overall, it is a decent option for breakfast if you happen to be in the area.

Veronica V.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for years! They never disappoint! The food is amazing! The people are friendly. It almost feels like you're having a big ol' breakfast gathering with family.

Sara D.

Yelp
Based on the reviews here we thought we'd found a hidden gem, but nope. It's a restaurant attached to a drug store. Not the most clean and the food was nothing at all to write home about. We had breakfast here and our server was very friendly, but we'd have had a better meal at IHOP down the road.
