Royal Seoul House Restaurant

I’ve been coming here over the years for both eat in and takeout, and I’ve never really seen it busy even during dinner time. The food is good, but nothing something crazy that I'd line up for. I was just here with a friend for a quick bite, and once again, it was empty. Not sure why, because it’s really not a bad place. There's free parking, the restaurant is spacious, and the service is always friendly.

This food is gooooooood. Ordered the Beef Sundubu Jigae which was amauzing in taste and bang for your buck. Also ordered the Samgyeopsal which was also very good but seemed very small for $30. If you have the chance, eat AT the restaurant, as it really is an experience that you don’t often see in other cuisines. Looking forward for a reason to head into the establishment to see if portion sizes differ and get the full experience.

the meat is tender due to over marinating which is to compensate for the quality of it. for the quality it is quite expensive and not worth it. the staff were also really slow even though there were like 2 tables

Late last year, I had barbecue and codfish stew with friends, and the codfish stew was incredibly delicious. This time, I had the barbecue combo, and the soybean paste stew and generous side dishes that came with it were delicious. The soybean paste stew tasted like homemade soybean paste stew. For $80 for two, you can get ribs, pork belly, and beef, so I think it's a great deal. I'll be back often.

Went to Royal Seoul House last Friday with a group of friends. I love how spacious it was. There were 9 of us and we were given a huge table. We didn't do Korean BBQ this time but just ordered ala carte. I love their Seolleongtang and Kkanpunggi. The Haemul Pajeon was nice and crispy. I'll go back to try their Korean BBQ. I just wish they had more banchans though.

The interior has quite a Korean feel, which was interesting, but the food was average. The service was also just okay. The space is large, so the staff seemed to be having a hard time, which made me feel a bit sorry to ask for anything. The naengmyeon was delicious.

We’ve been here a few times after our Pilates class next door. The food is high quality, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable. Aybora and Jenny are always kind, friendly, and accommodating. We’ll definitely continue to return!

Disclaimer: I am rating this place as a vegetarian. This restaurant is very spacious inside and has beautiful tradicional decorations. I was shocked with how big it is. The service was good, very attentive staff and fast response. There was a problem with the ventilation the day we went so it was very smoky inside. Now for the food. My friend ordered a seafood dish and was satisfied with it. I ordered the bibimbap without the beef and egg. The sauce came on the side and it was mainly a sweet and spicy sauce. In my opinion, the dish was lacking in flavor. However, the tempura veggies were amazing and the appetizers they brought us free of charge were really tasty! As a vegetarian you might struggle with the food here. But if you eat meat, I’m sure you will love this place. It is always packed and it has a great ambiance as well.

We had takeout from this place a few days ago, and since there was a takeout promotion, we wanted to try out a few more dishes than usual and keep the rest for the next day. As it arrived, the portions of the dishes were quite impressive! It was my first time trying cold noodles, and I was surprised by how sweet the soup was. Not a bad sweetness that makes you want to stop drinking after a few sips, but rather a fresh pearl sweetness that makes you want to drink more! I personally couldn't continue with it ice cold, so I heated it up, still very tasty!  Kimchi Fried Rice and the Tofu Pot were also flavorful, but the pork Jokbal, on the other hand, was a bit werid. There was a taste that wasn't soy sauce-like but similar; we found that taste a bit off in our opinions. Especially, after we left it inside the fridge over night, the taste amplified. It could be an alcohol-marinated taste, but not a pleasing one.  We'd love to try this Korean restaurant in person next time and order their BBQ; many have said their BBQ experience is interesting.

Decent K BBQ place. There were 6 of us and we ordered the biggest 5 person Seoul combo. This came with: many diff cuts of beef - Galbi, belly, and other cuts; as well as pork and chicken. Squid and shrimp. Japchae, salad, and tofu soup. It was way more than enough (one of ours can be considered a kid). The beef and Galbi in particular was very tender juicy and has just the right amount of sweetness. They sat us in one of these rooms where you have to take off your shoes and sit in a dug down area. It's neat. The table though is a bit too small since there was so much food. Service was reasonable. Would repeat.

Today was my first time dining at this restaurant, it was very cozy vibes with quiet music and atmosphere. They have a good selection on the menu. My friend and I ordered the kimchi stew, cold noodles and seafood pancake, all of which were delicious - especially the seafood pancake with was perfectly crispy! The food came with the usual side dishes and barley tea, and the staff were attentive making sure we had what we needed. Overall great dining experience and will definitely be returning!

A friend wanted to have a Korean dinner with me, and we decided to go have one at Royal Seoul House. She said RSH is cheaper than any of Korean restaurants on Robson so I said why not. We had Combo B ($59 for two people) and Doenjang Jjigae (soybean soup $14) with Rice ($2). Meats were delicious and tender. It was enough for 2 of us to eat. I had to order some soup since the combo didn't include soup. Besides I wanted to have some soup after eating all the meats and side dishes. Staff were so busy, but all tables had buzzer to call for help. Service was fantastic we had Banchan (side dishes) refilled without asking the staff for help. I totally appreciate the lady for helping us. Her home made Geojeori was excellent even my friend liked it. We asked if we could take left over Geojeori home and unfortunately that wasn't allowed. Doenjang Jjigae was good it didn't have potatoes though. It was refreshing to have a soup after eating BBQ meats. We both paid $40 per person which could be average for KBBQ. I personally found it expensive for what I got, but it is cheaper than what you pay at Sura and other fancy Korean eateries. Side dishes were pretty good. I appreciate the staff for changing our BBQ grills. There's no smoke filter for BBQ so your clothes can pick up odor. **Use Yelp check-in to get a free beverage**

Starting with the pros: lots of seating, comfortable and spacious. You can have a more traditional experience and choose to sit in a private booth (where you'll have to remove your shoes) or at a regular normal table. There is a button on each table that you press for service. We ordered Combo C BBQ (2 people) which had like 4 kinds of meat - it was definitely a large portion if it was for only 2 people! I enjoyed all the BBQ meats, especially the pork belly and the beef slices. They were nicely marinated and easy to cook on the bbq top. Continuing on with the not-so-good: we ordered the oxtail soup which inevitably is a high carb dish as it came with a bowl of rice, and noodles in the soup. I would not order this dish again as it was a huge disappointment. The soup tasted like.... plain water. Couldn't even finish this because it just did not taste good. We also ordered jap chae. This was pretty tasty, but nothing out of the ordinary. Our order came with 4 banchan (Korean side dishes) however, one did have an ant in it and they changed it for us quickly. Lastly, I was a bit surprised that there was no exhaust fan for the bbq. There was some kind of structure above our table (not all tables had an exhaust fan, even though all tables had a stove) so not too sure what's going on. If you don't want to wait for seats, this would be the place to go because they actually have two levels of spacious seatings. BBQ meats and common Korean dishes seem to be good here. Avoid the oxtail bone soups.

OMG if you like traditional Korean food, particularly Korean BBQ, get yourself to Royal Seoul House NOW. The meat and banchan were amazing. The staff were super friendly and kind. The decor feels a little dated from a modern perspective, but looks just like many traditional places do in Korea so it was a welcome reminder of being at a little "beef and leaf" enjoying dinner with family and friends!

A decent Korean joint on west Broadway. It's a nice option amongst many pizza places. Service is a bit slow, but the do get the job done. Their food is good but not great, hence the 4 stars. It is nice not to have to go to denman for Korean food though. Classic Korean décor, with a very large and open dining room.

Not bad. Not great. Less intimidating here. Not very many customers and only 2 servers. Friendly and helpful staff. Our server went as far as cooking our bbq for us. Guess he didn't want to be in the back! Go at off hours to avoid the crowd.

Good and convenient Korean bbq place if you come with +/- 4ppl. They have lots of room, you'll get seated fast. They have the call buttons for service which is super convenient. We usually get 2 combos, that's plenty of food. It comes with good side dishes and a bowl of rice. We like to order a side of lettuce. Tasty meats, typical Korean bbq deal. Always a good time, nothing fancy, but good!

We come here for Korean bbq usually. There marinated meat are so good. Generous portion. 3 of us shared a combo for 2. Be prepared after dinner you will need to wash all your clothes and hair. The ventilation system is not the best. Service is prompt. There's a bell on the table. The serve comes over when you ring it almost immediately

Went for an early dinner (around 5pm) on a weekday and this place was empty. It started to fill up by the time we left. And Despite the place being empty, the service was horrible We were seated in a big booth and was greeted by a young waitress (with blonde hair) - took our order and left. During my dining experience, I tried to get her attention a few times and they were brushed off, and when I managed to wave her down, she was very curt and dismissive. I had checked in on Yelp and with that, I would get a free soft drink which I ordered and never received. I got the steamed egg and a tofu soup with seafood. The soup was good but the steamed egg was alright. Safe to say the service here was horrible. I wouldn't recommend this place

Have never been here in person, but I've ordered several times through Doordash. Their bulgogi is delicious, I recommend that.

I love the environment and traditional tables set up where you'd take off your shoes. There were so many different options we too a while to choose! The prices seemed more expensive then we thought but the taste and proportion of the foods were rightly priced. Plus you could share and trade dishes too! We all enjoyed our different dishes and left feeling happy! I only remembered to take a couple pictures of food haha too busy enjoying it!

I've been to this place many times, their food is good and very reasonable. I order their seafood pancake every time I go, I pack most of it home and have it for lunch the next day. Their soups are also done very well. Overall they have good food and that's why I keep going back. The inside decor is definitely interesting, and you can see the owners spent a pretty penny on it. One weird thing is the washrooms are located on the second floor. The washrooms can use an update though. It doesn't reflect the same level of decor as the dining room. I like how each table has a vent hood for all the grease and oil when you grill your food. There's also a button for you to call your server when you need service, which is a nice touch in korean restaurants. The servers I've had were all very good. A few even offered to cook our food for us. One thing I think they can improve on is giving the place a deep cleaning on a monthly basis. The floors are usually quite greasy and slippery. Especially going upstairs to the washrooms. I had several near misses slipping down the stairs.

This place has been here for ages. Came here recently and surprised I have not yet written a review for this restaurant. I used to work nearby and would come here much more often for lunch time. So recently came with my mom to have Korean BBQ. For two people came to about $50ish dollar. For the amount of food, I would say its pricier than if I went to Coquitlam or downtown. Prices are not great and portion is small. If you check in on Yelp, you do get one free pop. Meat is ok. Not like super fresh. The free complementary appetizers are limited in selections. I noticed the equipment or their little Korean grill is a bit dysfunctional. They probably need upgrade. One thing I have noticed is that their washroom is locate upstairs and if you can't walk stairs than you would have an issue. In terms of décor, they do have the Korean look inside. Its cool that they have the button to press for service. I guess its the location and they are the only Korean restaurant in the neighborhood.

It used to be my number one place to go because of the food and their hospitality but after the pandemic everything seemed off. Usually they will provide side dishes no matter what you order. We did ordered a big meal with bossom and chapjae both in large size. Then I asked for banchan and the new waitor said oh your order does not come with side dishes. I was like ??!! Their price are relatively higher than other restaurants in the area and no side dishes They should have tell us upfront about the change. I tried to support the place several times during pandemic but with the high price I paid and what I got from the food quality and staffs' attitude, that was the last time. Everything changed compared to what it was in 2018 2019.

Great decor, ok service, ok food. Came here because we were all craving KBBQ and this was the only one in the area. It was a weekend night, we had a reservation and we still had to wait a long time. However I was happy we got a room where you take off your shoes because it feels very authentic. We were 7 people, took two BBQ combos and two dishes. The meat had little flavour and we were not given any sauce to dip it in, so everything was pretty bland. Also, the fan on top of the grill did not work. The dishes tasted ok, very saucy, nothing extraordinary. There is a button to call for service which works most of the time, but the waiters looked impatient. Price is average. 18% tip automatically included for our group. I will probably not be coming back, the food is just not worth it.

This house has no soul. For real. What a total letdown. I mean the marinated meats were pretty tasty, we got Combo B bbq for 2, I'm not complaining about the food but the experience. With our very costly $59 meat combo they only served us bare minimum side dishes: kim chi, sweet potatoes, fermented cucumber and mongo sprouts - that's it. No soup, rice, seaweed, tofu or green salad that comes standard in every other Korean BBQ restaurant. They charged us $2 for rice. Freaking rice! I've never seen this level of cheapness before in any of the Korean BBQ restaurants I've been to. Insadong, Hanwoori, even god-forbid Shabusen have better side dish offerings. I want to rant about how disappointed I was with the whole dine in experience but I'm just so exhausted with grief and bitterness it's so hard to muster up the energy to properly criticize this place. That's how bad my experience was, it exhausted me until I had no desire to give it the trashing this restaurant deserves. Service was inattentive, food mediocre, even asthetics was poor, the decor was so dated, and the place was empty on what should have been a busy Sunday night. Door Dash and Skip the Dishes seemed busy. Paid my bill, no tip. Never coming back.

We wanted Korean BBQ and this is where we went. The atmosphere is really nice and has an ancient Korea feel to it. Well maybe it's just because of the little separate huts you can sit in. We took our shoes off to sit down in one to enough our dinner. The food was pretty good and service is good. I like the service button you can press to get the attention of your servers. I found out from talking to one of the servers is that during busy times their server button system doesn't keep track of a queue of whom pressed the button. This is unfortunately because if you pressed the button and a second later another table presses the button unless the server is right by the machine she won't see your table had pressed the button. I am guessing this is why the servers get so low ratings. They don't have a lot of servers but I would a little more patience goes a long way. Also with that being said, I wouldn't recommend coming here when it's crazy busy then because they might get a little overwhelmed.

I think this Korean restaurant is super good! I had the new BBQ with cheese, egg, corn, beef and squid spot. Very interesting BBQ. And the traditional royal one for five people are also good! I like it

I am a huge fan of Korean food and I had a hankering for some good old Korean bbq one cold evening. I usually go to North Road/Coquitlam area for my Korean food fix, but I wanted to try something new. So we went to Royal Seoul House. Royal Seoul House has a set lunch menu for $20 (similar to Sura) and it looked pretty tasty, so I'll definitely want to come back to try next time. This time we decided to order their cheese hot plate, BBQ combination dinner and a kimchi soup (my baseline for all Korean restaurants). The tables all have grills, but because we ordered the cheese plate and bbq they offered to grill the meat for us in the kitchen which we really appreciated! Overall everything tasted really good! The banchans were a bit on the saltier side and the rice was definitely not the freshest, but all the other dishes we received were generous in portion and very delicious! The service was friendly and they have the call button on the table, so you don't have to flag anyone down. I would say that they definitely need to turn up the heat a bit however as the restaurant was really chilly!

My friend and I ordered $20/person lunch course. Some were low quality but it was ok. It was good deal. However after I had paid the bill, looked again the menu picture. We realized salad, one of grilled fish and sea food pancake were not served. We were so full anyway. I asked to make the missed pancake to go. They did. I know the server was quite busy but we trusted them to bring all course menu. I was disappointed on that. I recommend you to take a pic of menu when you ordered course.

The owner forced her worker to ask my party of 11 for a slice of our birthday cake. I felt very bad for the worker since he knew it was weird to request that and he kept apologizing. The meats were nice and other dishes pretty decent but still feel like they could have been better and used better ingredients. The other dishes didn't taste super authentic to me but didn't taste bad.

Food was great and the vibe was really fun. It was the first time bring gin my family for Korean BBQ and they really enjoyed it!

Its not an authentic korean restaurant. We had a hot stone bibimbop and there are so little veggies :( and stir fried pork and kimchi was just ok but so pricy. They only served 3 side dishes only, seriously!!?? Usually, korean restaurant offer 4-6 side dishes for free but this restaurant don't.

Delicious seafood pancake and beef combo were the feature dishes we ordered. Meat was tender and flavorful and my friends liked the cold noodles as well.

My first experience Korean BBQ was at Seoul House around 16 years ago. OMG... long time ago. We came here for a friend's birthday. I couldn't believe it was so quite on Sat night. Anyway, we ordered the BBQ combo to share... Spicy salmon green salad - Only few pieces of salmon and lettuce Kimchi spicy tofu soup - we ordered mild spicy, but, it so salty. 3 chicken and vegetable - grilled chicken skewers still raw inside. Korean seafood pancake - it was ok. Ribs, chicken and pork for BBQ - Give some praise, their ribs were fantastic, tender, juicy and sweet... The services were excellent, the waitress changed the BBQ plate and hot tea served for few times

I had a proper fabulous feast here. Great cuts of meat with very little fat, flavourful dishes and quick service. The portions were plentiful, and everything came out extremely hot. Prices per person were very reasonable considering the amount of food we ordered. I will definitely come back.

Beyond disappointed at their service. We ordered from them twice and was disappointed both times. First time we ordered: We placed an Uber Eats order for three (with two of the dishes accommodated with side dishes). 1. The dishes came with no utensils 2. We didn't get one portion of side dishes The problem wasn't until they picked up the phone. We told them we hadn't received our utensils and as we were outside and unable to eat the food without them. They only gave excuses about how they were running on 2 staff members and were unable to get them to us. Eventually after 30 minutes of long conversation, they agreed to bring the utensils. (This was already near 9 pm and we were all starving.) They called again another hour later saying "oh it's raining and I don't want to catch a cold so I won't go". What nonsense. We wasted 2 hours waiting and our food had already gone cold. We called again about how disappointed we were yet they only gave us excuses, again. I asked for a refund and they said it was not possible. They kept mentioning they can't do anything. Not a word of apology. We had to throw away the food. Eventually, after mentioning I will directly contact their manager due to this ridiculous service, they gave in and said they would give us a refund. The second time was not much better. We got the utensils, fortunately, but the rice was the size of an ice cream scoop. And again, we only got one portion of side dishes. How are we supposed to finish such a salty soup with one scoop of rice? We will not be ordering from here again. Extremely disappointed.

Food is not bad but not the best. We had 1 small chicken bbq (lots veg and barely any chicken), one kimchi pancake, one Japchae, and one fried rice. The bbq came very last and we waited for about 2 hrs to get that.. the very first dish wasn't here till half hr or an hr after we placed our order.. and we were there on a Thursday night where it's not that busy at all.. Overall the service isn't the greatest but is the only Korean restaurant around this area so... I'll only come back if I got at least 3-4 hours of free time and aren't hangry just yet (cuz you will be)

Stopped by for lunch today. We tried the Korean Style fried squid noodle, which was great except the Kim Chi sauce was a little spicy a d we needed lots of iced water to cool down. Also ordered the Fried pork dumpling as appetiser, acceptable taste and presentation. Overall impression is good.

I don't know why this restaurant has so many bad reviews, the decor was super cute, the food was really amazing and the staff was very receptive. There were perfectly made combos full of the fan favourites, we got the royal combo as five people but there was way more food than we could all handle. As well, there was FREE PARKING UNDERGROUND do yall know how rare that is these days? If you are looking for a great kbbq place in the middle of vancouver this is the perfect place to go

We had a delicious Combo B bbq for 4 people. Thank you so much everything was great. Service and food were amazing. We will come back definitely.

I walked in quite late in the afternoon for a much-needed lunch. A big sign outside made me zero in on their bibimbap. Service was impeccable and surroundings clean. Food arrived in a timely manner, generally satisfied, but felt there was not enough ground beef in the dish itself. Perhaps it's there lunch portion or normal portion, but it didn't completely satisfy. It's safe to come back to this Vancouver iconic Korean restaurant, after all it had won numerous awards in the past.

The atmosphere was great, it was my first time drinking Korean beer and it was delicious. This was a wonderful birthday dinner. I will come back again

Been coming here for a while. Authentic Korean food is hard to find without going downtown. I'll write about the dinner I had. We ordered a BBQ set for 2 people $50 total. Which included side dishes, bean sprout and noodle salad, japchae, seafood pancake, spicy tofu soup and porridge. Along with that came a bunch of meat. The quality of the food was good, and the service was great too!

The food here is terrible. Expensive Terrible to no flavour Service is terrible even though there's a BELL to bring over a server (there clearly aren't enough servers) I thought maybe there was a inexplicable "local-ness" to some random place on Oak+Broadway that has been here for ages. Alas, no. Even my Korean friends shake their head in shame when I said I mistakenly spent some coin here. : (

This place has always been a solid choice for Korean food and continues to provide some good quality meats when ordering for BBQ. I've always been surprised at the mediocre quality of food from other restaurants, but this place has always had a certain consistency to everything. Service is smooth and quick which has also been very accommodating of large parties as well. It may not blow your socks off, but consistency stands for something when it comes to restaurants and that's what keeps this place around.

I walked into this place expecting a restaurant, but it felt more like a bus depot. There are tiled floors and some booths in the middle, but the place was anything but cozy. There might have even been a breeze. Perhaps it was from the fan to suck up the smells of meat cooking on your table top -- which is why you go here in the first place. I've had some really great Korean BBQ when I was in Asia, so I had pretty high expectations. You order and plates of meat are brought to your table and you cook them yourself on the table-top grill. Which can be a fun D-I-Y dinner out. There was nothing wrong with the meal we had here - the portions were big and the prices were reasonable. There was just nothing exceptional. We asked about the karaoke that they advertise. The woman had trouble answering us and ran to get another staff member. She asked us some questions about how many people and what day. We answered "we don't want to book, we were just wondering how much it costs?" She just shook her head and laughed and told us it wasn't like that. We left the place a bit confused.

I hate to give a negative review to something in my neighbourhood but they seem busy enough that my review won't put them under. In short. Their soups were downright terrible. I got the oxtail soup and Rik got the spicy something. My soup actually tasted like boiled water with really dry flavourless oxtail. I was saddened. Why does it get 2 stars? Well I've had their bbq in the past and although super pricey (with probably larger portions) compared to other bbq restos these days. It's perfectly fine. And also the service by one woman was surprisingly thoughtful and professional. She saved the day. Oh goodness do not get the soups here. You will be horridly displeased. I would go back and have some bbq

Laughably small portions. Ordered 2 orders of chicken ($17 each so $34 total). Apparently this (picture) is both orders - that's right, your eyes do not deceive you, we're talking less than one standard takeout box. In any case, as any reasonable person would assume that the restaurant had simply given a single order by mistake, we called the restaurant to get our missing dish. After discussing up their chain of command however, and much to our incredulity, we were told that the "boss" had said that we had received two orders. There you have it ladies and gentlemen, Royal Seoul House is now charging Michelin Star prices! In all fairness, the food was ok... regardless, we won't be ordering from them again.

Not a very Royal experience. Was told on the phone this establishment was all you can eat. My family and I had visited it on our trip to Canada. We were told many times that it would be all you can eat. Once on the phone and once before our meal. After we had eaten we asked for some more. We were told rudely that it was not all you can eat. What? We asked to speak with the manager. He was rude with us many times during this. We asked do you care about your customers, he prompted us with "no, I don't".

They take reservations and they have certain tables that are in these walled booths/room-like spaces - love the cozy and homey feel it gives when you're eating in one of those. You take off your shoes when you go inside them! Portions are REALLY generous - their spicy korean fried chicken is real spicy and I appreciated how it was still juicy on the inside. I saw a lot of others doing KBBQ so that's something I want to try next time!

So, it had been a while since my last visit..perhaps a year? Anyway it's still very good value for money, and very authentic. I lived in Korea, and it reminds me of the sort of restaurants you would find there I recommend soybean soup with mackerel, which never disappoints

It's okay. If you are not that picky and really want have Korean food, you can stop by. The seafood pancake is okay.

On the way into the underground parking (which is off at the side, turn left) we saw a dump truck that had smashed into a parked grey truck thanks to the icy conditions and the steep incline. Needless to say, it was not a good omen. It took them 10 minutes to seat us despite our having made a reservation in the morning. There is a severe dearth of wait staff. Once you catch a server, they are rushing off to the next beckoning, half in, half out. When we wanted to order, two members of our party, including my old dad, were waving and jumping up and down like at a Metallica concert. When our natural gas brazier went out (twice), we were popping our heads around the corners like those colored flaps at the carnival games that you're supposed to shoot to receive a stuffed animal prize to impress your girl. Staff, please hire more staff. Serving size was commendable, although my bibimbap was about 70 percent rice and 30 percent vegetable mess on top; it's supposed to be the other way around. My niece liked the decor and said "Shh, we have to be respectful because it is traditional." The environmentalist in me wasn't happy to see the stuffed turtles in the entrance which, while valid mascots, kind of look like they'd be confiscated at Customs. Turtles are for swimming, not for showing. The white family across from us had three kids and a baby and they closed the room panel door to change the baby's diaper. I went to the restroom and a Middle Eastern lady was in the stall next to me and let loose her aching bladder with full and violent velocity; accompanying the release of her cathartic burden were many audible sighs of relief. I think these details are more memorable than the food, honestly.

I have to say that they have better quality need than everywhere else in town. Pork belly is a little to thick tho. Seafood pancake and sweet and sour chicken were pretty good too. Service was not that good either.

This place has been here for ages. I think over the years. I've dined here about 6 times. In the past it was A-OK and this time it was bit better. Not quite yay I'm a fan, but better than A-OK. 3.5 stars I would guess. We ordered one of the combinations for dinner and a bottle of soju to go with the meal. Soju always goes well with Korean BBQ. Of course the girls always seem to get tipsy like in the Korean dramas too. Service was very quick and we learned to use the BELL often when we needed something. Love that idea. Just press the buzzer and someone comes a running back to assist. I wonder if there is actually a buzzer attached to the waiter that zapps him when you press the button? Now wouldn't that be interesting? Better than Dai Jan Kum and just a tipsy below Sura in Richmond. I think maybe there are new owners here, because it seems to be better than I remember. I would like to come back again if I'm in this part of town. The place does have memories of dining here with my JFC (Japanese Food Critique from our dating days.)

Have eaten here many times. Always consistently good, with big portions but it is a little one the pricey side. Service is average but learn to the button to call for server.
