Royal Zambezi Lodge

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Royal Zambezi Lodge. The rooms are luxurious & carefully considered with a private pool which was a great spot to relax and enjoy the comings and goings of Zambezi River. The food was exceptional and we were very well fed. The whole team of staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, always going above and beyond. What really made our stay stand out was the incredible wildlife seen from the game vehicle and from the lodge. The leopards were our highlight. Royal have perfected the balance between luxury and a feeling of home. We will be back.

As usual we had the most wonderful time! The Royal team really know how to pull out all the stops to make our visit exceptional. Can’t wait to come back !

This was the perfect getaway for my family & I. And what more could I ask for? Game viewing from right outside our deck. Elephants came to eat from right outside our chalet, warthog were ever present, impala always grazing, a hippo or 2 coming out of the water early in the morning, beautiful birds would feast on the small fish & worms in the shallow pools and a nice surprise from some buffalo at dinner time.

I take my hat off to the team at Royal. The location is magnificent, you have the wildlife all around you. The views from the rooms are unforgettable. The rooms were beautiful (we stayed at the Royal suite). Super clean, and had everything you needed! The staff are amazing, very passionate about the bush. We had a great time fishing with Yona and the game drives with Leo! Although hats off to all staff from arrival, to the bartender, servers during the meals, the cleaning staff, gardeners, and to the chef, wow! What an experience! Your food was AMAZING! And the bush dinner was a memorable evening! Thankyou again to everyone we came in contact with, you made our stay unforgettable!

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at the Royal Zambezi Lodge! The lodge itself was beautiful, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was exceptional. The wildlife was stunning, both close encounters on the lodge grounds (including elephants by our pool) and during game drives to the Lower Zambezi National Park.

What an amazing lodge! We are just back from our visit to Royal Zambezi and I very much hope it won’t be our last. The service is fantastic - really lovely staff and nothing is too much trouble for them. Really welcoming and friendly. We loved our room and the view is absolutely amazing. It was kept really clean and tidy throughout our stay. The food was plentiful and very good. We really enjoyed our lunches in particular and the delicious desserts! The game drives were fantastic, even during green season. We saw lots of game - absolutely perfect. A big thank you to the whole Royal team for a fantastic and memorable holiday. Until next time!

Beautiful place, the staff are friendly and the food is good. Alot of elephants during the game drive. The boat cruise was nice. Also, the sunset on the island was a magnificent view.

Green season is the best season!! From the moment we landed we knew we were in for a special trip. The lodge itself is stunning and equipped with all the quality facilities one needs for a great stay. The rooms are spacious, private and very comfortable. The high end amenities and utilities were not just luxurious - they were thoughtful and convenient. The food was incredible, massive kudos to the F&B team!! Mixing up the menu with fresh ideas kept us eagerly awaiting meals. Cocktails and sundowners at the bar were amazing! Game drives in the GMA and Lower Zambezi National Park were great. We had some good predator encounters, loads of buffalo and elephant sightings with plains game in abundance! Fishing was very good and we got some decent tiger fish. Boat is rigged up with good kit and the guides take excellent care of the fish to ensure a safe and quick release. The staff and service is what really elevates Royal above and beyond. Non intrusive silver service, where nothing was too much. The warm smiles, informative game drives, to humorous banter every time we missed a fish - we really enjoyed spending time with the Royal Family. A massive thank you and we can’t wait to be back!!!
