Google
What a great venue!! The club was open and spacious. It was busy but there was always places to go and move away from the crowd. The sound was clean and loud. The light show is epic!! Great job by the team! I will be back.

Google
I attended a concert here recently and had an incredible night. This mid-sized venue has all the charm of an older concert hall with excellent sound. Upon arrival there was a line at opening which was managed well by the staff. There are chairs and couches inside and re-entry on select shows that make this a standout location in Boston. Their bartenders are friendly, however I did not see any food options, but it's a default metric for the review. I look forward to coming back for another memorable night and recommend visiting the Royale for any concert.

Google
OK concert venue. Location is in the theater district with the associated crowds and parking challenges. Predominantly standing room venue with possibly some seats in the balcony. Several bars with quick service. Good sound.

Google
I’ve been going to Royale Boston for the past 12 years, and I have nothing but great things to say! I’ve attended over 100 events—everything from live concerts and DJs to themed parties. The atmosphere is incredible, and one of the best features is that you can see the stage clearly from anywhere in the club. The sound system is top-notch, so you can always hear the artists perfectly. The staff are friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. Here are just a few videos from recent shows!

Google
I went here for a concert the other day, the inside of the venue was beautiful, the staff were all very kind, knowledgeable for the most part, but did help if they could. The lights and everything seemed very well coordinated, fun theatrics even though it varies show to show, were lovely.

Google
Great venue for music, lights, smoke, the works! Some of the friendliest staff in the state, Manny especially was sweet and cool and super helpful. The whole crew was good. Audio was a bit muffled/lost but that's common for high-ceiling venues. The crowds are manageable, but the foyer is gorgeous and a lot quiter if you get overstimulated. There was even a very sweet lady with gift bags in the bathroom at our last show! Folks were kind all throughout. The drink service is a bit pricey (not uncommon) and understandably the bartenders weren't sunshine and smiles, but the drinks came quick and the countertop was dry 🤭

Google
Probably my favorite music venue in New England. The sound system is tight, the vibes are good, tickets are usually reasonable, artists are always good, multiple bars, upstairs is dope, and GA is a blast.

Google
Came here for the New Year’s celebration party, the check in process was smooth $100/person at the door. Got in and waited an hour in the coat check both, $5/coat. The people who worked there dressed up in style and were giving good vibes. The DJ was doing his thing and playing top hits. The lights, sound and decorations were spot on. The drinks were expensive as expected. Overall was a great experience partying here, I’d come again! The sitting area was well maintained, the bouncers are very respectful and professional.

Yelp
I loved this venue. I thought it was really cool and surprisingly clean and well kept. The only thing that held me back form 5 starts was the fact that 1.) their ATM despite one of their bars being cash-only and 2.) the coat-check attendant was HAMMERED at the end of the night and that made the coat-check process painstakingly slow.

Yelp
We've all been to better and worse venues in Boston. Doors opened on time, and we found all the staff to be friendly. Keep in mind that this is primarily a standing room only venue for concerts, well at least for our general admission tickets. There is some limited seating on the second floor, but those who arrive late will come and stand along the railings in front of you. If you want to see the stage you will need to stand if on the second floor. If you want to see the stage from the first floor, you need to be tall. Again, many venues are the same, but a few have figured out the seating thing a little bit better.

Yelp
This is the worst venue in Boston. I have never been treated so poorly. The staff at this establishment is so disrespectful. The bouncers at the end of the show literally were harassing me to leave when I was waiting for my friends to leave the bathroom. I have never felt so disrespected after such a great concert.

Yelp
Honestly one of the better concert venues I've been to in boston. Feels like a miniature house of blues, not too crowded, water available at any bar without asking. The ambience is cool, definitely saw a lot of people taking pictures. Staff was decent but doors for Weston estate were supposed to be at 7, we show up at 8, doors were about 8:30, and they cut the opener short... Staff called us "darlings"...

Yelp
We visited the Royale on 1/30 for the Mayer Hawthorne show. After reading some of the reviews, we decided to head over early and wait in line just in case the show was sold out and/or staff at the door was limited (as other reviewers noted it could take a long time to get inside). We arrived at 6:30 pm and there were maybe 6 people waiting. Doors were supposed to open at 7 pm. Doors actually opened around 7:10, and from that point, everything about the experience was easy: we showed ID to get a wrist band for drinks; we had our tickets on our phone and the QR code was scanned by a woman at the door; there was no coat check, but the concert had not sold out, so a lot of people were just stashing their coats behind couches or behind curtains - we chose to keep ours with us. Bar was open and drinks were relatively cheap - a single scotch on the rocks and a juice-forward mocktail were $23 with tip. That's less than we usually pay at bars. There was no drink minimum (as noted by other reviewers), but maybe that depends on the event. The opening act started around 7:30 and played over an hour (it was a DJ duo, Chulita Vinyl Club), and then we waited another 30 or so minutes for the main act. Mayer Hawthorne was on the stage for approx 70 min with the show ending between 10:30 and 10:45 pm. The sound system, lights, etc were all great. We could see and hear everything perfectly and enjoyed the show. The only thing we would have liked was the option to go up to the second level and watch the show from above, but for some reason the upstairs was all closed off. Details in the other reviews were very helpful in finding this place as the sign is very small. We ubered over and back (from Somerville) and that was also easy and affordable (less for the round trip than parking across the street would have been). Also worth noting is that the theatre district is right on the edge of China Town, and there are a bunch of casual restaurants nearby if you head down for dinner before hand. On the same street as the venue were 3 places to eat, and at the top of Tremont and Stuart, there were another 5 to choose from, plus just another block or so and you're in the heart of China Town. We would definitely see a show there again!

Yelp
Royale is abso-freaking-lutely the place to be on a Saturday night on Labor Day weekend!! It's a large space with cool stage and props. The dance floor close to the stage does get crowded but there's plenty of space to dance freely around too. Plus there's an upper level with a cool view. We did SpotHero parking in a nearby garage and so it was convenient to get to. They gave us glow sticks when we entered so it was fun to hold them up while dancing. Good hopping music by the DJ. There was an aerialist doing acrobatics in the middle plus dancers and also a teddy bear on stage and some dressed up people on stilts. Overall a cool fun time!
google avatar

Ray Y.

Yelp
Oh what could have been if the Royale management really cared about giving their patrons the best opportunity for a great time. All the employees I saw and talked to were nothing but kind and helpful. The concert itself was great (Morgan Wade). The sound was fine. The lights & special effects were minimal. But the problem was that Ms Wade did not sell more than 1000 tickets and therefore the upstairs was not open. This made downstairs overly crowded with poor sight-lines for the vertically challenged. It also wasted our efforts of arriving early and waiting in line for them to open. So they saved a few bucks not staffing the upstairs at the expense of their customers. And at the expense of 2 Yelp stars.

Yelp
Came for a concert. They opened doors on time. The staff was professional. The concert hall was really dark but very cool with a ton of detail and old mansion vibes. We loved the ceilings and lions everywhere. Very cool

Yelp
First time here was on Friday to see Cascada. Line was long but it moved fast. Security here is 5 stars! They were polite and respectful I loved how they were on their A game it made me feel safe. I got a sangria at the bar and it was delicious, bartender was quick I didn't wait long at all for a drink and that place was packed. All the employees were so nice and giving ppl compliments. I liked the vibe of the club and I would definitely come here again and bring friends.

Jamie Lyn C.

Yelp
My husband and I love the venue. It is absolutely gorgeous. The issue we had was security pushing the barricade into me while I was standing there smooshed into the person in front of me and the stage with nowhere to go. And the way they were kicking people out after the show, not cool. Either way, we enjoyed seeing one of our favorite bands kill it on stage as always.

Yelp
Beautiful historical venue in downtown Boston. We saw Lost Frequencies last night and the house was packed! Doors opened early to keep people out of the cold. The line took a bit to get through, coat check was about 40 minutes, but there are enough bars to serve everyone so the lines were short and quick. Sound and lighting are phenomenal. Standing room only available downstairs for this show. We went upstairs to the VIP area to enjoy more space, great viewing area, dedicated bar, tables and seating.

Yelp
What the fuck is wrong with this place First of all, a 2 drink credicard minimum? No other Boston venue I've been to (Sinclair, paradise rock club, bright music hall, roadrunner, great Scott RIP) had this. Next they give u drinks in an actual cup ? With no lid??? Do you know how many roofie stories there are in Boston? Next , in the two stalls I used in the bathroom, no hooks for your belongings ? What a weird ass place.

Yelp
*FOR THE GIRLS* I came here Friday night with my friends to see ghastly. Some guy came over to me while I was with my friends and put a red glowing bracelet on my wrist. He didn't give any others out that I saw. A little while later I got a drink for my friend from the bar. Not even 30 minutes after drinking the drink(that was meant for me) he collapsed. My assumption is the bracelet was to let them know I was supposed to be drugged. Security carried my friend out of the club and rudely tossed us onto the street. I was trying to hold his head up and make sure he could breathe meanwhile the employees were yelling at us to get away from the club because it obviously looked bad on them. My friend was unresponsive for 2 hours. WATCH YOUR DRINKS AND DO NOT LET YOU FRIENDS OUT OF SIGHT HERE. It's a dangerous world and places like these do not care about you in the slightest.

Yelp
I've been to this venue twice now and I really like it. It's big enough for decently popular artists to play at but small enough so still have some intimacy. I love the second floor balcony as well. I think the security is great here, they take appropriate measures to ensure safety. I also find it very beautiful here.

Yelp
Great venue in the heart of Downtown Boston. Bar in the back and huge space for concerts. Lots of parking areas but beware that some have a 4 hour limit while others have 2 hour max. We were there for BoyWithUke and it was awesome.

Kay T.

Yelp
Fun and great for an under 21 Boston experience after 9pm as many other event spaces were 21+, pool was reasonably priced. Good clean and safe atmosphere.
google avatar

Chirag M.

Yelp
The space is great, but unfortunately the sound system is primitive. You can't enjoy the awesome artists that perform here because of the crappy sound quality. I really hope they upgrade at some point!

Yelp
I've been here twice so far, both for events where you RSVP ahead of time to get in for free before a certain time. The lines get ridiculously long. The first time it became uncertain whether we'd be able to get through the door on time, but luckily staff members went through the line to check everyone's ticket so that even if you got to the door past the "free window" you still didn't have to pay. The second time I came they just didn't even bother checking people's tickets, so the line moved fast enough that everyone who RSVPed got in on time anyway. The coat check lines are even longer than the line outside. The coat check is $3 but it's $3 per item. Even if you're checking in two coats, but one coat is thinner and tucks into the other, you should expect to pay $6. The drinks here are super expensive so you should try to pregame if you can. However the lines are so long that you might be sober by the time you're actually ready to dance... There is a 2 drink minimum if you want to pay with card. A small margarita was $11... I ordered a tequila sunrise but the bartender made me something completely different and it was $13. The guys here are really thirsty. If you're looking for attention then this is a pretty good place for that. If you don't want too much attention then make sure you come with friends who can look out for each other. This doesn't guarantee that you won't get groped by some random person though. I've said a lot of negative things about this place, but at the end of the day, the crowd is big, the venue is big, and I somehow still end up having a lot of fun when I come. Also can't say no to free cover.

Yelp
Why are Boston clubs so shady? This review is centered on the safety aspect of this club. My two friends and I believe we were drugged by the bartender on Saturday night (1/14/23, 11:15 pm). We each took a shot of flavored vodka and chased it with lime. Not even 15 minutes after shot 1, I felt airy, space-headed, and I could hardly speak a word coherently. Lights and sounds around me slowed down and were hard to focus on. It felt similar to tripping on mushrooms or k. I then drank 3 more drinks, but my recollection of what happened the rest of the night is slim. Later that night one of us puked the entire drive home, all 3 of us experienced memory loss and passed out cold around 2am. We had to leave early because of the sickness. Why would a bartender spike the drinks of 3 college-aged patrons, one couple and one third-wheel? Maybe so we buy more drinks or bottle service. Or has somebody paid the bartender to drug us so it's easier to steal from or rape one of us? For all I know, the drink could not have been spiked with date rape drugs. Maybe it's like absinthe-- the vodka itself is tainted and causes hallucinations. The one thing I do know is how I feel when I'm tripping (on purpose) and how I should feel after an ordinary shot of vodka, and I have three human data points on this. I will never set foot in this club again for this reason only. It's completely irresponsible for ownership to overlook the drink-spiking crime, and I hope this venue gets busted for it given how many reviews report the same experience... Bottom line: do not buy alcohol here unless you want to risk being drugged. no matter your gender. or unless you enjoy this type of drug recreationally, in that case, you hit the jackpot Not saying I didn't have a fun time! This just isn't safe.
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
Adding a few screens and replacing floor boards to be less sticky isn't the full makeover I had hoped for. The stage was small and when it's packed it's hard to see from the back. The worst was the coat check. It was a free-for-all grab for who could get to the counter first, allowing rascals to cut to the front from the sides because no staff was there to direct the flow between people going to the bathroom, exiting the venue, or getting coats.
google avatar

Leif L.

Yelp
I was disappointed... on the night I came to this venue, a line stretched, 4/5 people deep, down the block from the entrance, and my friends and I waited for well over 30 minutes to get in after buying tickets online no less. After a recent mass tragedy involving a stampede and crush injuries making international news, the line honestly felt unsafe and management needs to make changes to ensure the safety of it's patrons. Furthermore, it was unclear as to whether the experience was due to poor planning on the part of the management or worse, if it was part of a scheme to make the place feel more exclusive. My sense is that it was the latter as upon entry to the venue it was clear that many more people could be accommodated than were currently present. In either case, it is pretty disappointing that after spending $30 on entry, this is the experience you are greeted by. The music was... fine and the drinks were, as you would expect... expensive. I paid $13 for a gin and tonic. Also, the predatory and drunk men had come in droves and the women with me felt uncomfortable numerous times. Lastly, I would note that the security was not inclusive of non-cisgender individuals. It may be that I am from the West coast, but I would expect any place with security performing pat-downs to do better than the TSA... hint Royale did worse. A word of advice, do not tell people to separate by assumed gender, it is transphobic and frankly it's not 2010 anymore. Bottom line: I would have to be paid to go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Neat locale for Concerts. Runs pretty hot inside and standing room only, for the most part. A nice venue for intimate concert going. Ridiculous priced mixed drinks at $12.00 that have much more juice than alcohol and $6.00 TINY water bottles....
google avatar

Bill D.

Yelp
We were at the Royale for Andre McMahon's Three Pianos Tour on 11/1/2021. The venue was great, good seating options, great sound quality, and attentive staff. What I came here to review, though, is the front office staff. I dropped my wallet at the venue that night and didn't realize it until the next day. When I called, the assured me that they had my wallet and would mail it to me. Unfortunately their office had a bunch of people get sick with COVID, so it took awhile, but my wallet arrived safe and sound today. Everything, less the cash, was there and saved me making tons of calls to get everything reissued. So, I really recommend this venue mostly because of how well the staff took care of me as a patron.

Yelp
This place should be sued for false advertising. Saw a concert there last night (Brian Fallon) he came on at 8:15 and was done by 9:20 PM. Barely over an hour. Maybe 10-12 songs or so and I've checked other recent setlists for him and this is like half his show. Not even an encore. I do not really blame the act. The issue is Royale forces the acts to do an abbreviated show so they can turn into a shitty dance club at 10PM. At the very least they should work with the acts to get on early and inform ticket buyers the situation on their tickets so the acts can play their normal show. The lights come on and they start forcing you out the door real quickly and abruptly and I'm thinking like "wait I paid pretty good money to be here, you're open to 2AM, who are you to push me out the door at 9:25?" Not that I wanted to stay, I just left. But seriously this place sucks the whole setup. Really disappointed to pay regular concert prices for half a show. I'll never see a show here again and acts should avoid it.

Amanda D.

Yelp
$50-100 My friends and I we're at royale last night for a concert 5/1/2024 thought we were going to have a great night until we got to the door -- this man was so rude checking our ids and had absolutely no idea what he was doing. It looked like he was very overwhelmed and on top of that he's yelling at customers for absolutely no reason what a great way to invite customers in...then we go upstairs and go to the bathroom and holy hell! what a disaster --toilet paper everywhere, sinks dirty, no paper towels.. I'd rather go outside!!! Place needs the board of health in there STAT! As we were leaving I asked the security woman who the guy at the front door was-- she was kinda hesitant, but said his name is Matt...I will be making a phone call!! You should not have a guy at the door that is as rude as him greeting your customers, but what do I know? I'm only a paying customer!! I'll be telling everyone to not come here wish I took pictures of the bathrooms-- what a disgrace.

Paul S.

Yelp
An old school snifter was hanging out in the mens room. I think the same weirdo from the Star Market at the Pru. Said he likes the smells. Kind of strange dude. Drinks were pricey but hey it is not the place you go to drink - more an entertainment /concert venue . The show I saw was entertaining and the door staff was friendly. Bar staff seemed new and confused but it was an early week night.

Galen L.

Yelp
If you're considering going to a concert at Royale, don't do it. I purchased three tickets to a concert at Royale. My two friends and I waited in line for the concert outside, in 35-degree weather, for 2 hours. The line moved very slowly, and by the time we got close to the front of the line, we were upset to learn from the bouncers that the concert had ended. We were very upset that the venue was unable to accommodate the crowd by checking tickets quickly enough for us paying customers to see any part of the show that we had paid for (and, as college students, the tickets were not cheap for us).

Adam K.

Yelp
Decent venue, but the door/security staff is incredibly rude in my experiences there. They act like they're some luxury establishment yet treat guests with contempt. If it weren't for the kind indoor and bar staff, they would be getting 1 star from me.

Luis A.

Yelp
A group of my friends (3) and I decided to come here for Halloween weekend. We drove over two hours and spent money on hotels nearby this club. We all each paid 40 dollars on top of that for a ticket to enter. It's our first time here, we all waited in line and as soon as it was my turn, I get pushed to the side and told I'm "too drunk." I haven't had one drink the entire night. I'm a male and gay and based on what I saw that night, it seemed like I was the only one in line that was able to be spotted as gay, based on my costume of course. My female friend brought us to the back of the line and we tried again but this time the tall guard who was doing all the yelling, stole my ID and pushed us both to the side & now refusing my friend inside too. My other two friends were already inside and calling us and asking about the problem. They ask inside if it was okay to get us and the female guard said yes. As soon as the two inside come out, the tall guard now said they can't come back Inside. The female guard listens to the tall guard and now is also saying, I'm still too drunk. I have not even said a word this entire time from how shocked I was. My friends and I all looked at each other to understand what they were even talking about since I haven't drank the entire night. We get pushed away and told not to come back. So now we spent all this money to come here and my ID was stolen by the guard at the door. It gave homophobic.

Jim M.

Yelp
Great venue for a concert with plenty of spots to get a beer! Enjoyed the night! Restrooms were clean and there was no bad spot to watch the show!
google avatar

Carolyn C.

Yelp
Saw Morgan Wade perform here, amazing venue, we stood on the mezzanine and danced our hearts out!

Katie L.

Yelp
Security guy is really kind and lovely. He helped me when he didn't need to, and I appreciate him infinitely for that. Give the man a raise.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
Royale almost always has great music- the only thing that makes it a worthwhile experience. The space is great too. Club drinks are usually expensive but Royale charges a premium while making sure the cups are as small as possible. The staff always tends to have or create some sort of issue with someone in my party or near us on our way in and are always totally disrespectful and straight-up unnecessarily rude and belligerent with customers. The atmosphere and music are always good, but you have to stomach the insane drink prices and many of the very problematic employees to actually enjoy the experience.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years since it was the Roxy. Looks identical to what I remember. Beautiful hallways large venue good size stage great bar balconies tables excellent location for a venue for music boxing match any type of entertainment at all especially a DJ and dancing or live music.
google avatar

Danielle F.

Yelp
If I could give less than one star I would. This night club throws EDM shows with no idea what the EDM community is or stands for. There is a VERY bad date drug problem at this nightclub too. Multiple people I know both male and female have been drugged here. Their security is rude and biased. Their dress code is strict and inconsistent. I will not be coming to the Royale for any events moving forward.
google avatar

Annmarie L.

Yelp
Excellent club lots of fun. Music is great. Always fun live entertainment also on stage. The look ofcthe club is beautiful . Bartenders are always nice also.

Yelp
*PLEASE READ THIS* 5 Stars for FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Bought tickets to Slanders Headbangers Ball ONLY to see Tisoki (sorry Slander). Then Tisoki magically disappears from the lineup the night of the show? Interesting. So we asked Tisoki himself. Royale used Tisoki's name WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION to falsely advertise and promote the show. Everybody be warned with buying tickets to Royale - you probably won't even see the artist you paid for! Shame on Royale for a number of this but especially for denting an incredible artist's image. Photos attached are the advertisement of Slander, Tisoki, and Wavedash for the Headbangers Ball and the conversation with Tisoki of him personally saying he never got an offer to play at Royale. I will never give this trash venue a penny ever again & I am determined to let this be known.

Yelp
This is my go to club, the location is good, the prices are decent compared to other clubs in Boston. Though I would definitely drinking before getting to the club or your bill WILL come out to be quite pricey. The venue's big so there's rarely a big line to get in. There's an area to dance and to just sit around if you're just there to enjoy the vibes. It's great for a night out with friends to celebrate that it's the weekend!! The loss of the star comes from the hit or miss DJs.. sometimes they're just not that great and the music is just not their best. I still have a good time, but I wish that they would have a better DJ performing.
google avatar

Frank B.

Yelp
The Royal is an amazing Vaudeville Art Deco venue in downtown Boston. I went to see Allen Stone here the other night which was awesome, and making the event even better was the quality of the venue and its staff. The stage is large so the performer can do his thing which is entertain. The bar island located in the middle of the floor so you can grab a beverage and still see the show. If the balcony is open your discover there's a ton of table seating on the rail with excellent site lines for u to chill with your date. Well, time for you to have your experience.

Lily W.

Yelp
Be aware-its a small canopy next to a hotel ...so if you're looking for a standalone venue...don't.......I had to drive by twice to catch it one the 2nd time....Went last night to see MEDUZA....the security as people said are spot on...I requested ADA assistance --I was escorted by security up an elevator and we were escorted into the venue. There is enough security to feel safe. The place is beautiful the set up on the stage so you can see the DJ at any angle is great! They have chairs and high top tables (I counted 3 tables *2 seats each so 6 seats in total)....There is ample space to move/dance around...I can't say enough good stuff about this place...the venue doesn't disappoint.

Yelp
Awful sound system with serious upgrade needed , probably worst of Boston major clubs. Beautiful spacious venue. Good service. 3 stars is fair.

Yelp
Yo, here on NYE...party down Awesome staff, great venue, good vibes Royale has to be the best place in Boston for NYE. Thank you for the fabulous night and hospitality.

Rachel R.

Yelp
The vibe is so fun. I've gone with and without a table and both times it has been great. I keep pepper spray on my keychain for protection and it's not allowed inside but I was able to get it back after the event.

Yelp
What is the point of the VIP section if girls can't get there to hang out with the people with the bottles? Yup that's what I do, I make friends with people in VIP and we vibe. Not at Royale though, the bouncer said I had to leave because I didn't have a VIP bracelet. So... guys come here to pay shitloads of money for bottle service so they can hang out with the same guys they came here with? Why not just stay home with a bottle from the liquor store then? The dance floor was so slippery with spilt drinks and just general slipperiness that I fell on my ass while wearing flat ass boots. It was kind of funny but when the Indian guy next to me offered his hand, I had to decline because... The club, Saturday Cosmic night or whatever they call it, was 95% Indian guys. Not that I don't have love for the brown guys, but 95%? Every guy that came up to me was Indian. Maybe b/c I was wearing a fucking jewel on my forehead (hey it's EDM assholes). Just because I'm dressed like this, does not mean! lol I'm moving the jewels to the side of the face from now on. lol Maybe it was Indian night and I didn't get the memo. I prefer a mixed crowd type of space. Drinks were $20 each??? Can't keep my money in the bank anymore inflation is out of control.

Yelp
My first time at this venu was yesterday and I did enjoy this place very much. I was doing a meet and greet here with some artists. The place was very classy looking and very upscale I did enjoy it. It's much better than Venus back home. We had to wait in line outside which it was freezing and kind of upsetting that we had to wait since we paid for VIP meet and greets but I understand doors open at a certain time it just sucks when you're cold. The lines were organized BUT there weren't signs to say where regular line and VIP lines were so you had to ask to figure it out. I think a little more organization would've been great. Signs usually help to direct people. Also maybe a sign to say the place is the place that's having the artist , so many people were confused as I was since I'm not from Mass. We get into the venu its so beautiful inside, the meet and greet went awesome. They have many bars which is GREAT! They also have a coat check if you need to check your jacket , not sure the price I didn't use it. This place doesn't have seats it's all standing , unless you sit up in the balcony which is what I did , amazing view , comfy seats and more private area. The workers were all very kind here. My only compliant is that the venu was FREEZING! It's winter time and it's like they were blasting the ac , even the artist during his act said his fingers were numb and it was freezing in there. That's the only complaint , I was very cold.

Yelp
After a few consecutive weekends of hearing about how great Royale is, I decided it was time that I saw for myself what this "it" spot was all about. We avoided the cover charge and line by printing some passes online and arriving early (~10:30p). Coat check was available for a few dollars. Multiple bars made getting drinks relatively easy. Although the space was large, the dance floor was only a small section near the stage. At some point in the night, someone in a bear costume started dancing on the stage with the go-go dancers -- not sure why people-in-animal-costumes* are so "in" right now, but I couldn't help but take a picture with it. Anyhow, it was a fun night dancing with friends, but I could have done that anywhere. *https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1G4isv_Fylg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WA4iX5D9Z64 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8A4QVop3-8&list=UU9HnKwLco0wfmmHJT4KOjJw&index=2

Yelp
My friends and I attended the singles event at this club. We had a lot of fun and most of the night was fantastic. The drinks were good as well as the shots. The bartender that was serving me though got sassy because I was using cash. Also, a security guard screamed at my friend because we were ordering an Uber and said we were leaving in a minute. This security guard was extremely unprofessional and I wouldn't be surprised if she was on drugs since she was acting violent towards my friend. This is a fun place but the staff requires more professionalism. When you go to this area, don't expect 100 percent niceness.

Yelp
I've been to this club several times.. normally I have a very good time.. but we had a bartender (I believe his name was Mike) on the 4th of July who yelled at us, saying "we didn't pay a good enough tip"... when our tab was still open (which meant he could have kept making money)... and then pretty much wouldn't give us a chance to order, so we decided to close our tab.. directly after. Super unprofessional... and just down right rude. It upset our night :(
