My husband and I went here for breakfast one weekend when we were kid free. While dating we loved going to little "holes in the wall". We walked in to the blues playing and friendly staff and customers alike. One look at the mans plate across from me and I decided to have lunch for breakfast and dinner later. We had the smothered pork chops (steaks) cabbage, and macaroni & cheese...My OMG moment was after tasting the mac & cheese, if I didn't know better I would have thought mamma and grandma were back in the kitchen. Most people make their mac and cheese full of Velveeta with an egg and milk binder, this one was made with a roux! I am starting to drool just thinking about it! The cabbage perfect with a hint of spice, and the biscuit reminded me of Breakfast after Sunday School. The pork chop was really pork steak and left something to be desired but the sides and biscuit more than made up for it and I cant wait to go back to try the dressing. If it is a hit then I doubt I will be cooking for Easter this year!.
Good food, good portions, good price. I only gave 4 stars because my husband used his debit card, it was charged twice and by a business with a different name from the restaurant?
