Rozendaels Original Cuisine

This place was fabulous: outstanding & refined food paired with attentive service. We had the Bats Dush Ku Berouda Djawe (yam w toasted chickpeas) and the Sweet Rice Roll w Chicken as appetizers, both wonderful with subtle flavors (the latter was trending a tad bland - the chef should try adding more spice (with some heat!) Our mains were the Karni Stoba (beef stew) and SateBabi (sayay pork - inspired). Both were full flavored and skillfully prepared - tender meats with strong sauces. The local fried rice that came with the Sate deserves a special mention- really tasty. Dessert was flan w brandy sauce. Incredible. 10 out of 10! Attentive service and a beautiful setting completed a wonderful meal on a night with bursts of sudden (big) showers.

I've eaten here twice in a week already and will probably come back for a third on my last night. The food and service are FANTASTIC. Every dish is so delicious! If you're a seafood lover, then you should definitely get the Laman, Gambas Pil-Pil, and Pulpo Spano. The key lime pie was also a hit. To match the food, the service is excellent too. Such a young and vibrant team of servers. Ambience and playlist are also lovely; it's so nice to hear old soft rock. As a solo traveler, they made me feel right at home!

We were blessed to visit Rozendaels for Christmas dinner. I will say, first and foremost, the service here is far above and beyond any other restaurant. I can't stress that enough. The atmosphere was very quiet, although Christmas music was playing, and was exactly what we were hoping for. We started with the baguette, a glass of malbec and a glass of merlot. The baguette came with 3 wonderful butters/sauces/herb spread. The wines were fantastic, although we prefer our red wine at room temperature, not chilled. My wife had a garlic and oil spaghetti which she loved. I had the Karni Stoba and it was perfect. Portions were perfect as well. For dessert we shared a Caribbean rum breadcake with ice cream and whipped cream. Again, very well done. This was definitely one of the best meals we've had yet. Great experience.

This place is a hidden gem! The place from the street doesn’t look like much but when you walk in … it’s a garden paradise. Just lovely and serenely calm. The food… awesome authentic Caribbean food. We came twice and both meals were delicious. The fish soup was nice and spicy … k asked it to be spicy. The staff were so accommodating to what we wanted. Friendly and nice making the experience well worth it. I definitely recommend coming here if you want food and music that is outside the hustle and bustle of downtown.

We visited last Friday and wow the service was great and food was awesome. I got the Octopus special and my wife got the shrimp dish. I have to say this was probably the best Octopus I’ve ever had. Next time we visit Curacao we will be back.

staying for a week and we picked this place family of four two kids under 14. service and atmosphere were fantastic. food was outstanding. This is worth putting at the top of your list.

Bring mosquito repellent. We got ate up and should’ve asked for bug spray sooner :(. Service is very good and we met the owner’s sister. The food is okay. We weren’t thoroughly impressed. Still worth checking out and maybe ordering different dishes.

Our waiter was incredibly kind, the food was delicious and the service was amazing. It was so beautiful. Highly recommend!
