The Good: The Oysters Rockefeller were big! And the ratio of sauce and spinach was just right. They're definitely worth the price. And, they take contactless payment (though you have to go up to their POS to do it).
The Areas of Opportunity:
- I was seated at the bar by the host, sitting in the middle seat of 3 seats. I thought this was odd, but didn't question it. About 7-8 minutes into my sitting, a hostess asked me to move because "I need two seats and you sat in the middle".
- I waited 16 minutes for a server to come over to greet me, only to say "I'll be right with you." They came back 3 minutes later.
- When the server arrived to take everyone's order seated near me, the couple to my right ordered the seared ahi tuna, oysters on the half shell, and campechana; the couple to my left ordered two fried oyster tacos and the seafood fettuccine; I ordered the oysters Rockefeller. Everyone's food came out before mine.
- After I was seated, a party of 5 was seated at a table behind me. This group was able to eat and leave before I was given the opportunity to order my entree. (Granted, they had a different server who appeared to be more attentive.)
- An hour into my visit, I decided to pay and leave, having only ordered one appetizer and a glass of wine. The couple to my right, who stated they were locals and frequent visitors, assured me that the service was "normally not this bad" and that I should give it another chance next time I'm in town. That is yet to be determined.
