Went by in the morning ordered a carnitas torta which was good but had little meat and they do not make them with their bollillos, if they did they would me much better tasting. The green chile burrito was bomb , great flavor , not too spicy it was the perfect heat. The pan dulce. Winner as well.

Excellent place a small place but you feel so comfortable and the cafe de la olla was so good and the turkey sandwich very delicious!!

Found out about this place from a post from tick tok and man oh man let me start off by saying that there chicken burritos are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 if I remember correctly it only had 3 maybe 4 ingredients but that's all it needed one bite and I was like omg this burrito is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves a good burrito. There bakery is good as well only had the pleasure of trying there bolios and it reminded me of my grandma when she would wake me up to eat oatmeal and bolios and that's not easy thing to do

Customer service was great! Bought bolillos for Father's Day to take to Santa Clarita to my parents house 25 total. Everyone loved them and they were huge!

Went there for the rolls (birote) they were ok. Had a burrito that was not that great, The market was on the expensive side for being in Compton on a low income area.

The ceviche is delicious. I got a burrito de chicaron. Lots of flavor. Make sure to ask for extra salsa.

I pre ordered my blue conchas and they were delicious and ready to go when I arrived.

The lady's are cool they act a little funny sometimes about the bolillo

Simply put, The Best. Want amazing menudo? This is the spot. Want warm fresh bread? This is the spot. It can get busy and the parking lot is small but always worth the time. Don't forget they have a store inside too in case you need any further ingredients

It's been a couple years since I've been here for the Chile verde burritos. They were still good but have lost its kick, the spice was part of the reason I would come here. Service is still great and the pastries still give it that Mom and Pop old school Mexican feel.

Good bread (bollio) nice and warm. Really good chile verde burrito with a good spicy kick. Some of the meat inside had a good amount of fat but overall still good. I will return

Atmosphere - Family owned market, bakery and take out. No indoor or outdoor seating. Groceries are well organized and easy to find what you need. Meat counter is clean and meats look fresh. There was a steady stream of customers. Customer service - Very friendly and helpful. They are very appreciative of our patronage. Happy to explain menu items. Items are made to order. Quick service. Taste - We ordered carnitas, Machaca and Chile Verde tacos, burritos and tamales. Taste was very authentic and flavorful. Red salsa was a bit spicy for my taste. Price - Moderately priced. Great value. We will definitely return.

Best Chile verde I ever had just the right spice not many places make it like this. And the service is always fantastic!! They also have great bake bread and sweet bread. If you like green Chile burritos or any other burritos you like do yourself a favor go try one will put a smile on your face!!

I saw this place on IG advertising their chile verde burrito. Made the trip today. Man! This burrito is delicious! Chile verde, beans and i added cheese. The tortilla is home-made. Best part was the last bite. Had all the juices and flavors!

Really wanted to love this place!! Heard great things about it and wanted to support local family owned business! Especially with what happened several months ago. I went this morning to get some pan dulce, cookies and bolillos to bring to my coworkers. They have a huge selection and they are friendly. However. The pan was not fresh at all. I thought it was just the piece I had but it was several of my coworkers as well. The cookies were decent but the bolillos were delicious!! Don't know if I will be back.

This place opens early and closes early, so arrive early to grab fresh bread and pick some of their yummy Mexican side dishes ready to go, which include salsas. Some of my favorites are the nopal (cactus) salsa and carnitas! Not to mention one if their popular staples, their pan dulce and fresh bolillo . They also sell refreshments, coffee, and other store items.

I been coming here since I was a kid the food is really good it's home made plus u can call it in and just pick it up simple and easy I recommend the breakfast burritos today I had the ham & eggs breakfast burrito they're delicious only thing is the salsa is spicy which I like so if your not into spicy food ask for it on the side they also have freshly Mexican bread

Went this morning for some Maza to make tamales and ended up getting a Carne Asada burrito as well. Best asada burrito I've ever had in my life!! It's so simple yet amazingly delicious. I am definitely going back for more.

I heard about the Crash n' Grab that devastated this store. If you can volunteer a few hours to help clean up the store and make a small donation to get them back in operation. Vote against any DA's not prosecuting criminals.

Went here to support this local bakery did t know it was that close to me, walked in around 4pm let me tell you bread was fresh soft, I bought conchas, pan dulce and birote (bolillo) omg delicious my kids loved it will definitely go back, they also have a carnicería and also sell hot food which I will try next time, customer service was good older individuals which I like the best they are more polite

I must say for a little hole in the wall place the green chili burrito with beans is off the chart great service the owner was very polite respectful as well as the workers and the cooks very outgoing I feel bad that this place was the place that was targeted by Street takeover hoodlums that just busted up someone's bread and butter if you know what I mean. If you don't mind me saying I travel from Carson all the way to Compton to get my two burritos I've done it twice in one week that's how good the green chili burrito is so if you don't know now you know?

Have good cakes and Mexican food and nice employees and nice drinks and good meats and products and produce and prices

Started coming here because we wanted to support a local business but we come back because it's good! The bread is fluffy, great tasting and not priced out of the range of the neighborhood. They have hot food, so great for take out.

Great burritos! The chicharrón and chile relleno are my favorite! Good coffee, and has lots of Mexican goods.

I Usually come in here for their sweet bread, (pan Dulce) and their rolls (bolillos) and Champurrado. One time I came in for some hot food, a chile relleno to be exact because it was during lent so no meat on Fridays and while out and about I got hungry. It was my turn to walk up to the counter and I asked one of the young ladies working there if I can have a Chile Relleno? Then she continues to ask me how I want it served, the choices were with rice and beans or a la carte. When she explained their a la carte option, I was speechless because she had the audacity to offer me a cold chile to take home to warm it up myself. At that point I should have left and gone to Gallo Giro instead, which is up the street but I was already there and I asked myself how bad can it be? I placed my order took them about 10 minutes to call out my order. I bring it home, 4 minute drive away from here, in a styrofoam box and it wasn't warm all the way. It was stuffed with Jack Cheese, which I hate so much and to top it off no sauce poured on top. Ruben, I'm sorry what happened to your establishment a couple months back but your warm food department and the customer service are areas for improvement. Thanks

Really good bread, I really wanted to like the green chile burrito but it was okay the staff are friendly though and the bread is worth it!

I tried this place for the first time because I am working close by for a few days. I came by to try the chili verde burrito. I have to say it was pretty good. Enough heat to satisfy the chili craving. Comes out of kitchen very hot wrapped in foil. Good price. They have a bakery also with pan dulce and bollilos, cakes. I came back after work for some conchas to take home with coffee the next morning. Very good. I would happily cone back if I am ever in the area for work or otherwise. Kinda out of my way from home.

Move your business to SW Idaho. Our town is 70% hispanic, large population of hops and field workers. Take over the carneceria in Wilder or Homedale or open a new place. We'd welcome you and we don't riot. We support and encourage our local business owners.

The services is friendly and efficient. I was in and out in 5 minutes when I went to get a Chile verde burrito. The Chile is spicy, just right for me but if you're not used to eating hot food it might be a bit much. The size of the burrito is big, I was only able to eat about 3/4 of it. I'm going to go back to try some of their other food.

Good food but terrible customer service. We really like the bolillo at this place but honestly would love to have a new panaderia close to us because the service here is just horrible, it looks like once they they have their business running and customers coming in they do not see the need to be respectful anymore. The guys working here are extremely rude, they will tell you on your face "take it or leave" if you don't seem to be happy with service. Tried to see if the owner would pay attention but it was about the same thing, you go here and see people buying but many complaining, not sure if dealing with their attitude is worth eating a bolillo.

I found this place on Yelp. It's a bakery with a kitchen. I'm gonna tell you guys what's good here. The Chile Verde burrito is the BEST here! It's a bit spicy and the beans are real good. The tacos are also huge. I've tried the asada, adobada and chicharon. Cant go wrong with the asada. That Chile Verde burrito is good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I recomend you try this place.

I've been coming here for 20 years , I never had a problem until today when one of the employees told me that I cannot use my phone as a payment method and I've used it here multiple times but because of her ignorance she declined me i ask to converse with the original owner mr. Ruben to why they didn't accept mobile payments , and he told me that his son was the only one that did those payments but he wasn't there it only he can approve this which sounds ridiculous . And because of this employees stubbornness and ignorance I didn't go home with bread

The foreman for one of the contractors working on my project brought me a chili verde burrito. Out of bounds good. One of the better burritos I have had anywhere. Will make this place a regular stop.

I love eating here and there's a lady with blond hair white with blue eyes who makes the best food believe me and ask her to make your torta or burrito or even tacos she's the best at it 10/10 10 STARS LOVE IT SOOO MUCH

stumbled into here accidentally cos i havent eaten all day. To my surprise, $4.85 for a fully loaded burrito!? They are also a grovery store and a butcher shop thats why i think the meats are so good. Got the ASADA BURRITO and its as flavorful as any burrito i have ever had

Food is delicious! Feel like my mom just served me a plate at home every time I take a bite. My go to is machaca con huevo burrito add rice no, no beans. Topped w that flavorful yet potent salsa Also I tried their chile verde taco for the 1st time today and of course it was on point !! Fast and efficient customer service. Everything is clean. Everyone wearing face masks.

Stop selling your fat as barbacoa. I've been there a number of times and they never fail to give me fat instead of barbacoa. At $16 a pint this is robbery. I won't be doing any business with this place anymore. I mean I seriously just spent $48 for grease and fat. I hope this review catches some momentum because this is extremely unacceptable.

On a rainy day like today the best medicine is their big bolillos (some sort of French bread). My dad walks to Ruben's and brings back a paper bag filled with warm bolillo. We literally eat em dipping pieces into our coffee. Best taste ever!

This spot is the best! I love the burritos and the pan dulce, and you cant beat the customer service. Im glad I work in the area I get to stop by a couple times a week.

I have been leaving my 14 year old son with my elderly parents, who are 83 and 79, to help them with whatever they need in these times. He was sent this morning to buy some Mexican bread. To my surprise, he ended up paying $8 for 6 pieces of bread. So much for looking out for each other and giving back to the community. I normally go to La Favorita located in Lynwood but has been closed because of this whole COVID-19. I guess I'll be going to Gallo Giro. Thank Ruben for taking advantage of people.
