"This pretty restaurant owned by friendly hosts Cornelia Stolzer and Ruben Baumgart – she is Austrian and he is German-Austrian – is something of an Alpine hot spot. Accordingly, classics such asBackhendl(breaded fried chicken),Alt-Wiener Tafelspitz(prime boiled beef) orKaiserschmarrn(shredded pancake), as well as modern dishes feature on the menu. Charming, well-trained waitstaff and a decent selection of Austrian wines. Incidentally, the pumpkin seed oil comes from the proprietress's village." - Michelin Inspector

Second time visiting this restaurant, which I highly recommend until my last visit. Although the service and ambient were exquisite, I found the all the courses heavily salted this time. I wish the chef and servers had considered our feedback to improve the dishes that were served later in the evening. This could have improved our experience and customer who would have been happy to visit again with more guests.

A very nice restaurant with interesting Austrian food. The atmosphere is nice even though the location next one of the big streets is not the best. The staff is very kind and friendly. If you are looking for something to eat that you might not have eaten before at least at this standard the Rubens is definitely an option. They serve the best Wiener Schnitzel I have had in my life.

Paul was awesome, gave insightful recommendations for the wine and the menu was delicious - a modern, but still traditional Austrian kitchen. Especially the starter were fabulous. Also the contact with Cornelia Baumgart was great - she managed to get all our 13 people into a fully packed Saturday. Great job guys!

Google
I have no idea why they have 4.8 rating. I wasn’t that hungry so I only took a main course. The schnitzel looked big but it’s just the batter and it’s not crispy, the meat was thin as paper and it had no taste while the rest of the food was way tooooooo salty! Maybe having their set menu would be a better choice but I don’t think I’ll come back again. Service was just ok, nothing special.

We booked the restaurant for our group of 30 people. Everything was perfect: food & beverages, service, decoration & atmosphere. We had a great time at Rubens and would gladly come again! Thank you to all the team for making this moment so special :-)

Google
Great Austrian restaurant with decent prices, good prices, an extensive wine list (all Austrian) and attentive staff. We took the seven course journey through the menu.

The best Schnitzel I have ever had in my life! All side dishes and sauces were also very delicious! Reasonable price for the quality of food and service!

We had the 5 course surprise menu and everything was really well presented and delicious. There is a long wine list too, and we had a great white. Reasonably priced too.

Yelp
After spending two months in Germany, I can defiantly say the schnitzel here was the best I've ever had. The potato salad was so good, too. Great wine selection.
