On the Grid : Ruby's

"The super cozy atmosphere, Australian accents and The Bronte Burger are sure to put a smile on the face of anyone stepping foot in Ruby's. Add some Brussel sprouts and truffle fries to your order and you'll surely return to try another dish. If you’re aiming for something light, try out the Pumpkin salad!" - Barrel

Where To Go That’s Like Westville But Isn’t Actually Westville - New York - The Infatuation

"Ruby’s is an Australian cafe, but it’s useful for a lot more than a flat white from a barista wearing a beanie and a baggy T-shirt with partially rolled-up sleeves. The Kips Bay space (which has more seating than the constantly packed Nolita location) works for a breakfast bowl after 9am kickboxing, a smoked salmon salad during a casual lunch meeting, or burgers and wine with friends before a night out." - matt tervooren

Joanna the community manager at ruby is an absolute superstar. She makes the whole moving process so smooth, she is so helpful, responsive, and understands what i’m looking for. From my first email enquiry, to in person tour and moving in - Joanna is one of the main reason why i chose this apartment, she makes the entire process seamless. I’m new in new york and it’s been a long process to choose my first place. Ruby offers just about everything - close to many subway lines, best coffee shops and restaurants, rooftop pool, modern spaces, 24/7 doorman, clean modern gym. It’s just the perfect area where you’re 10 mins away from west village, hudson yards but also midtown and nomad! It’s amazing. Management is very quick, loving it here so far. Plenty of natural lights and love the common area. 10/10 and 11/10 for joanna

Living at The Ruby was a great experience. The building feels upscale and comfortable, with well-designed spaces that stand out from many other rentals in the city. The maintenance and management teams are professional and responsive, always keeping everything in top condition and addressing any issues promptly. Joanna was especially helpful throughout my time here, quick to assist with any questions. Overall, it’s a well-managed and high-quality place to live—I’d definitely recommend The Ruby to anyone looking for a home in New York.

I had a very disappointing experience with the apartment tour at this building. During my first visit in October, the leasing representative failed to share key information about the property. Specifically, based on my direct questions, I was told that: • Amenities were included in the rent. • There were no limits on the number of guests I could bring (for example, to the pool - which I explicitly asked). • There was flexibility to negotiate on price or free months. After the visit, I never received a follow-up email with a recap of the apartment details, which most buildings typically provide the same day. When I called two days later, a different staff member informed me that no free months were offered and that amenities were not included. I also followed up by email requesting to speak with the original representative but never received a reply. I decided to schedule another visit, but I had a different staff member welcoming me, who explained that there are actually two types of amenities: • Tier 1: $100 per person per year — can only be included in the rent during the first year of a lease, even for two-year leases. • Tier 2: $1,000 per apartment per year — not included in rent. He also clarified that each resident is allowed a maximum of two guests for all amenities. After receiving this information, I made an offer for a 2 years lease. The counteroffer I received simply stated, “We can include Tier 2 in your lease,” with no price adjustment — completely inconsistent with what the first representative told me about “flexibility” in negotiations. Overall, this experience showed a lack of transparency and poor communication between staff and customers. I would recommend staying away from this building, as it appears to advertise selectively and omit key details that can significantly impact your decision.

I lived in the building for 2 years. The finishes are of great quality. The noise insulation is amazing - you can't hear your neighbors. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The gym has all you could need to get a good workout in.

Highly recommend this building. It's modern, clean, in a great location, and is chock full of amenities but where this building really shines is it's management team. Ever since Rose management took over, everything has improved. Joanna, in particular, really went above and beyond in helping me through a challenging situation. Also, Dolores at the front desk is an absolute angel. I really don't have bad things to say about this building, it's the best one I've stayed in NYC.

I love living here, the building has every amenity imaginable and then some. Whenever I've needed maintenance (only twice now), they are at my door within ten minutes of calling about the issue, they work swiftly, are extremely courteous and even wear slip covers for their shoes! The building often holds events like rooftop yoga, and sometimes rooftop pool parties, replete with DJ and bartender. This is an incredible residence I can't recommend enough, I'm fortunate to be able to call it home. 🙌👌👌👌👌👌👌👍🙌👑 Also the new management is incredible, courteous, professional and they reply swiftly to any inquiry. Rose management, they are the G.O.A.T.S. seriously thank you, Ruby, love this residence and surrounding neighborhood ! 🙌🙌👌👌👌👌👌👑👑👑👑👑✨🌟

Very professional, transparent, responsive, and customer-focused group. I have done many deals with many different owners, landlords and management companies. This one was very hands-on, from personally showing the units to making sure the customer was happy with the lease terms and the apartment.

I lived at Ruby for 16 months and truly enjoyed every aspect of the unit and building. Superb location in Chelsea and a great building overall. Super friendly staff and I would recommend without hesitation. I moved out of country otherwise I would still call it home.
