22 Landmark Cantonese Restaurants to Savor in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"Ruby BBQ is a cut above when it comes to Cantonese-style barbecue. The roast pork’s crunchy exterior gives way to tender hunks of belly, while the roast duck’s crispy skin sheaths moist, gamey meat." - Kristie Hang

Super cool looking barbecue spot. You really feel like you’re transported to a different place as soon as you step inside. The decor is on point and we particularly enjoyed the windows at the booth that gave you a nice view of the great outdoors. The food was great and the portions were huge. The brisket was particularly good, super tender and juicy. The ribs were fall off the bone goodness. I wasn’t a fan of this version of greens. I’ve eaten and cooked my fair share of greens and this bowl had a strange ammonia taste which I couldn’t get past. I had to stop eating it. The greens aside, I’d say this is a pretty fantastic bbq joint when you consider the yum and the decor. They are really doing something special here. The cornbread was pretty dang good too, particularly with the butter. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable, so we had to take her suggestions for the cookies. Unfortunately the one she recommended was sold out after we put the order in so we asked her to surprise us. One of the cookies came out hard as a rock, so she took it off our bill for us. Overall everything was spanking good and we’ll be back.

🤠 Excellent BBQ Restaurant! Another of those hidden 💎 gems in the city of La Habra. This is one of those nice restaurants with a history, you must visit in order to admire it's beauty. The atmosphere is fun, lively music. It is inside is decorated with an 1800's to 1900's Western vintage cowboy architecture style. Our first time eating at this restaurant. I highly recommend it! 😄 My husband order the Brisket meat meal. I ordered the Smoking' BBQ Salad with Brisket. Our son and daughter got the Brisket Fries and Brisket kids Slider. The food was absolutely delicious 😋. This particular BBQ restaurant knows how to elevate a Brisket salad into a gastronomic experience. A wonderful eatery for those planning and special celebration. The service was great too 😄👍.

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (but I’ll definitely be back!) Okay, let me start by saying I rated the food a three — but I will go back. Let me explain… The decor is adorable and super welcoming — a fun mix of rustic charm with a modern twist. I loved the digital screens that look like windows in the booths. The place smells amazing when you walk in, and everyone leaving looks full and happy. The staff couldn’t have been nicer — friendly, polite, and really helpful with recommendations. Portions are generous, so trust me, you won’t leave hungry! Clean bathrooms! Here’s what I tried: • Fried Pickles: Fantastic — crispy, golden brown, and full of flavor. • Cornbread with Maple Butter: Another winner. I could’ve eaten a dozen of these little clouds of goodness. • Ribs: 7/10 — good flavor, but they seemed boiled before grilling, which isn’t my favorite style. • Baked Beans: 10/10 — amazing! Deep, rich, perfectly seasoned — I heard it’s a family recipe, and it tastes like it. • Creamed Corn: 7/10 — creamy and good. • Mac & Cheese: 6/10 — fine, just didn’t wow me. • Greens: 6/10 — decent but could’ve used a little more seasoning. • House Sausage: 4/10 — not my favorite. • Pulled Pork: 3/10 — on the dry side, even with sauce. • Brisket: 1/10 — sadly, this was the big miss. Dry and lacking flavor, which was disappointing because I really wanted it to be great. The bignets: HEAVY!!! If they sold them as fried biscuits it would’ve been a better idea. So heavy and salty thick center not pillowy soft and airy as they should be. Pretty golden brown though! Overall, I actually really like this place. The atmosphere and service were excellent, and those beans and cornbread are reason enough to come back. Next time, I’ll try a few different menu items — and yes, I’ll be wearing my stretchy pants! 😄

First time here. The food was very good my favorite was the corn bread & sweet butter! The family feast was perfect 👌 a bit of everything. The service was great very attentive & fast. The decor was so beautiful. Perfect for a messy cute rib date. Definitely will be going back

We loved the upscale Old-Western saloon vibe, dark wood, vintage signage, and a country music playlist that set the mood the moment we walked in. The host greeted us warmly and had us seated right away, and our server, Priscilla, was attentive and genuinely kind. Thanks, Priscilla! We ordered “The Platter,” which came loaded with chicken breast, ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Every bite was smoky, tender, and perfectly seasoned. For sides we chose the, Coleslaw, mac ’n’ cheese, Pig Candy, and Cowboy Candy—all winners. One suggestion we passed along to Priscilla: adding street corn (or esquites) to the menu. It would be an awesome complement to the BBQ, though the current lineup certainly doesn’t feel lacking. Bottom line: great décor, friendly service, and mouth-watering barbecue. We’ll definitely be back! God Bless you.

Google
I really enjoy this restaurant. The décor is elegant and welcoming, creating a cozy atmosphere that makes every visit special. The food is consistently delicious and full of flavor — that never changes. Service can vary depending on the staff, but overall the dining experience is always very positive. It’s one of my favorite places for breakfast or lunch, and a spot I proudly bring family and friends when they visit from abroad. Highly recommended, 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Google
What a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere takes me back to a fond memory of BBQ and feiends. We had hot sausage, ribs, brisket, chili, waffle fries, mac and cheese. It was some of the best BBQ I've had in Socal. I've had the best BBQ in Texas, so I know what I am talking about. It was around $35 a person.

Yelp
First time visiting Ruby Red's BBQ on a Sunday morning, right as they were opening. The waitress was incredibly friendly and, after hearing it was our first visit, she seated us at a better spot just to make our day nicer--which we really appreciated. The interior has a true Western cowboy vibe--barrels, boots, stools, and tons of character on the walls. It honestly felt like something you'd see in Texas, which I really liked. We ordered the eggs benedict and omelets. The food was simple, clean, and well done--nothing fancy, but nothing to complain about either. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. Overall: a great first visit with welcoming service and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be back when I'm craving BBQ.

Yelp
Great food. Fabulous ambiance. Family oriented day time and even nice date night. We had the eggs Benedict with Brisket. Great in house made hollandaise and perfectly poached egg. Good coffee. However, the house potatoes in my opinion weren't that good, cold. Yet the ambiance and other flavors brought us back to try the beignets the following morning. All worth the second visit. Tasty biscuits and gravy, with a good amount of sausage. We'd order this again. Super helpful and friendly wait staff. Shout out to Janet on Black Friday. And Miguel in Saturday. A real plus to make the meal even better. We will definitely return with friends another time.

Yelp
Ambiance was fun and festive like being at Knott's Berry Farm. The reuben sandwich was very tasty as well as the collard green side. Hubby got a shredded beef sandwich and added swiss cheese instead of queso cheese. Service was very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Food was really good! Portions were very generous. The place is so cute and nice. Very roadhouse like. To finish off the cookies were baked to order and warm. Amazing, servers were nice and friendly too.

Yelp
Delicious BBQ - I need tender Smokey brisket- I crave it ! And this is the place in La Habra to get it. The service is friendly & the portions proportionate to the price. There's another restaurant in the same shopping mall- no names mentioned- they fill up your plate a little more for a little less money but the quality isn't the same. The quality of food here at Ruby's is great. And we never leave anything behind on our plates! The ribs & brisket are so delicious and tender, we just can't do that!

Yelp
This restaurant transports you visually to an old saloon in Texas. Great decor and terrific service. The food was outstanding especially the brisket and rib (both pork and beef). What an amazing experience. Highly recommend and would come back multiple times.

Yelp
Been coming here for awhile now and never disappoints The service is unmatched, super friendly and knowledgeable. From the combo plates to the sandwiches and salads to the amazing sides, Ruby's crushes. Never been for breakfast, but that's next.

Yelp
Had lunch at Ruby Red's today with my family and my sister's family. Walked in and we were seated fairly quickly. We looked over the menu and then our waitress came to take our orders. Hubby and I shared The Platter which comes with brisket, ribs, a chicken breast, pulled pork, and choice of a house or hot sausage link and two sides which we picked mac n cheese and brisket beans (couldn't decide between the brisket beans and chuckwagon chili) and we added a side of waffle fries. We asked for the Carolina and Alabama sauces but ended up liking the Ruby the most. Restaurant has a cute decor. The booths have a Christmas theme window and curtains. My sister and brother in-law shared brisket fries and they ordered a peach cobbler for dessert. Dessert was interesting topping was made of oatmeal and peach was yummy. We liked the ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Chicken and sausage we could have done without. Hubby wasn't sure what he thought about the sausage. The mac n cheese and waffle fries were good but not sure how we feel about the brisket beans wondered if the chuckwagon chili would have been better. Service was pretty good don't remember the young lady's name but she refilled our drinks and Ruby sauce when asked. Hubby says he would go back to try the breakfast menu.

Yelp
Great BBQ spot right in our backyard!!! Owner of the restaurant helped us out. It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday afternoon. We ordered the following: Shared a 2 meat combo with the Mrs. We opted for double Brisket sides of Mac & Cheese and a potato salad. $46.99. Ian wanted Brisket so he got himself a Texan Sandwich with Waffle Fries as his side. $23.99. Brisket was delicious! It was soo juicy, tender and melt in our mouth!! (+1) Ian devoured his Brisket sandwich. He was a teenager on a mission. Haha. (+1) Peach cobbler was decadent. Mrs. and I loved the fresh fruit in the dish! (+1) Mac & Cheese tastes home made and hearty. Potato Salad was light and savory. Price might appear a tad bit high BUT the portion, flavor and taste make it worth it! All and all it was a great lunch! We will be back. You guys should definitely try this restaurant out.

Yelp
This place is amazing, I'm sad I didn't try them sooner. We came as a family and ordered one of their feast. Delicious food we ordered their biggest feast for 12 adults and had tons of left overs.

Yelp
I had seen this restaurant before from the outside, but had never tried it. From the outside, you have no idea how different it looks inside! I would describe visiting this restaurant as an amazing immersive experience! The moment you step inside you are no longer in south cal! They have plenty of parking nearby and have their host(ess) right at the entrance. They have 2 main seating areas and a bar top. These areas have booths which include screens displaying sceneries or stand alone tables. Even the restrooms are on theme! The tables are super unique and some have a plaque which shows the type of wood it was made out of. They offer brunch and dinner menus. We have only tried their menu, but brunch looks interesting. The staff were super helpful on both occasions that we have visited and service was great. On our first visit we went for a combo with 3 meats and 2 sides. We LOVED everything we tried! We had brisket, sausage links and ribs. When you get the combo, you get the different sauces which are all very unique on their own way. My favourite was the hot one. For the sides, the chilli was amazing with brisket in it! The potato salad was very refreshing. We added the cornbread which was really good as dessert. Overall it was such a great first experience that we had to be back! We came back for a small meal so we decided to share the brisket French fries and they were AMAZING! We did ask for an extra sauce as we felt like we wanted more. Because we had shared that, I had room for dessert and ordered the beignets. They were big and tasty. This restaurant also has frequent customer club so don't forget to sign up and earn points for your visit! They also have a senior menu for brunch which is really reasonably priced. Keep in mind they do not open Monday and Tuesday. I can't wait to be back and try other stuff!

Yelp
First time here. The food was very good my favorite was the larger rib & sweet butter! Brisket salad was perfect. The service was great very attentive & fast. The decor was so old school cowboy. Perfect for a messy cute rib date. Definitely recommend! . The only thing is NO cocktails .

Yelp
This review is for breakfast only. We got a postcard from this restaurant we have never tried offering BOGO for breakfast which is my favorite meal. So we had to go. The interior is like a West World saloon. The breakfast choices were many for such a small place. You could see inside the kitchen a little and based how organized and spotless it is, couple with the ambitious menu items like Benedicts, predesigned omelets, and beignets, I knew we were in for a treat. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, fried green tomatoes, bacon and eggs plate. I had to as it was the only dish on the menu that featured southern gravy. When it came out I got really excited. The scrambled eggs and bacon looked standard. The tomatoes were perfectly golden brown and looked thick like crab cakes. The B&G platter was enormous - just the way I like it. The biscuits were completely covered with spotty chunky gravy. I believe it was smoked ham in a gravy that is housemade with sausage base. The biscuits underneath were the pan style cake-like biscuits and not the flaky buttermilk kind, but they were very good. The eggs were uniformly yellow and soft scrambled. The bacon was fully rendered but not crisp. Many people like their scrambled eggs soft and their bacon chewy, so no problem here. Just note to order "well done" for both next time if that's what you like. My dining partner ordered the brisket breakfast with pancake. Again, multiple plates - enough for two people - came out. The eggs were perfectly medium. The potatoes were expertly cubed, deep fried, then roasted with onions and two colors of bell peppers. Someone forgot to season them but after I salted them, they were perfect. The mound of brisket was impressive - at least half a pound of gorgeous beef with two bbq sauces on the side. The brisket tasted of smoke right away - I like beef forward then smoke aftertaste but I've been to Texas a lot. This is still very good and 10/10 for Orange County. The pancake brought back memories of the bran muffin from Claim Jumper. I could taste the buckwheat, or is it molasses, in the pancake? Whipped butter and maple syrup on the side in its own dishes instead of a sticky dispenser. Nice touch. The cooks, our server and the proprietor of this beautiful restaurant make me glad they sent that postcard. I will be back soon for sure. The leftovers we took home made two more meals so I would say even the pricing is right.

Yelp
Loved our visit to Ruby Red BBQ! Amazing service from our server Amanda--super friendly and attentive. The corn chowder was delicious, and the sandwiches were loaded with very generous portions of meat. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We came here for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Staff was great, service was great. We loved everything we ordered. Portions were large, so we ended up taking some home. We loved the look of the inside, we can't wait to come back for dinner. We tried the smoked brisket eggs Benedict, the cookie butter pancakes, and grits.

Yelp
Some of the best bbq I've had in awhile. I love when the sauce has a nice kick of tang and it hit all the right notes. The staff was amazing and the decor was fantastic. Large portions that all hit on flavors, with fall off the bone meats. I will be going back to try more of the menu.

Yelp
Our server, Kevin, was so awesome from the moment we walked in to the time we left. He told us his favorites on the menu and kept our glasses full the whole time!! We enjoyed chili cheese fries with onions, Texas Pastrami with pickles and sauerkraut, and the best part was the soft and fluffy powdered beignets with caramel, lemon, and chocolate sauce. Everything was tasty and delicious in their music-filled saloon -looking dining room today!! Thank you Ruby Reds!! I'll be back soon.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday with my sister at Ruby Reds last night. Due to last minute appointment, we weren't able to go eat until 7:25pm. We felt guilty since they were closing at 8pm, but they were so sweet and took care of us. They were out of the brisket so we ordered a 1/3lb rack of ribs and five sides to share. Everything was so delicious, we barely talked during the meal. The Mac and cheese, fries, and creamed corn was my favorite. My sister told them it was my birthday while I was in the bathroom so they brought out a box of beignets to take to-go since it was past 8pm when we finished eating. We ate it in the car the car and we were in awe. It was better than cafe du Monde's and Disneylands beignets. It was incredibly hot and yummy with the lemon curd sauce. Amazing food, great service and nice ambiance. Five star all-around! Can't wait to go back again for the fried appetizers, chili, beef ribs and brisket. I swear we'll come back at an earlier time.

Yelp
What a find!!!! I'm not a fan of barbecue places because they seem to be all unhealthy, but we heard that they have a good brunch and then when we looked up the restaurant, I was so impressed that they only use all natural ingredients. No nitrates, no fillers no artificial colors and everything is made on site I had the eggs Benedict with avocado and it was so good. My BF had the big texas breakfast. I am also a stickler for good coffee and there was freshly brewed and I give it a big thumbs up. The OJ was also fresh squeezed. The decor was amazing with all the custom pieces. Absolutely beautiful wood. For me to give this place five stars is a very high compliment because I am not a southern food person or a real western lover, but I will absolutely come back .
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
2nd time here, Kevin the server was on point. It's great to see an establishment have such great people and even better food. I did the platter yet one more time. Was with my wife. Gonna bring my dad next time, he'll love this place
google avatar

Bridget G.

Yelp
After having BBQ in San Antonio, TX -I was craving some delicious BBQ...Food was good, portions were not as generous as I would have liked but overall it was a delightful visit. Service was hospitable and efficient. I definitely loved the ambiance, from the famous painted portrait to the cowboy hats on the wall and I can't forget the beautiful chandeliers. I don't think I will find BBQ as good as TEXAS BBQ out here in So Cal but a girl can dream

Yelp
Thank you TikTok!! I found this place on my FYP page for their dinner options and saw on their website they offer breakfast on the weekends! After looking at pictures on Yelp, we knew we had to go. For a table for 2 at 10:30 AM on a Saturday, we were sat right away and greeted right away. A hot chocolate and 2 waters to start off right. We agreed that the pancakes for the table option was perfect for us because we couldn't decide on one flavor! We also chose to share the brisket and eggs plate because we really wanted to sample their BBQ. HOLY SMOKES! The brisket and eggs was plenty to share, as we both felt content with how huge the portion of meat and eggs were. The potatoes were PERFECTLY seasoned (I'm used to seasoning at the table at other places). The pancakes were so big (they don't do smaller versions on the sample plate) we could only take 2 bites of each one. The pancakes are dense and filling, but not overly sweet. This was surprising with how much toppings they put on it. All of this food came out to $50 and that's with a 25% tip for our amazing server. She constantly checked in on us and another server did as well, he helped get our drinks. My biggest thing is this, if you do not like country music, you may want to ask for a seat away from the speaker. They played 90s-early 2000s country music and the interior has mismatched chairs, feeling like you are in someone's home rather than an actual restaurant. I'm very excited to come back here for dinner!

Joja L.

Yelp
The breakfast is phenomenal Delicious pancakes & French toast & waffle!! With an assortment of homemade toppings & homemade syrups! Delicious! Great for special occasions! The meats for lunch & dinner are outstanding. They have beef ribs on Friday & Sat! 1 rib can feed 4. Never had a bad meal! Coffee is real cowboy coffee, no skimping there! Ambiance is on point! Great addition to La Habra.
google avatar

Airedale W.

Yelp
Liked the pulled pork and the collard greens. The waffle fries were very undercooked. Don't know why anyone would look at them and think they could be served. Ruben was a little on the dry side but used the sauce from the pulled pork to make the pastrami palatable. Remodeled interior was a plus. Would come back. Excellent service. Limited beer selection.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
I've shopped in the plaza dozens of time but never understood why it took me so long to try Ruby Red's. Frist time and the biscoff french toast, brisket Benedict w/ Boston cream pie pancakes! Thank you to Jannet for the great customer service and excellent recommendations. Best Breakfast on the lake.

Heidi L.

Yelp
A very good eating experience. The "windows" on the booth seats are cute. It feels fun. We got the Platter for 2. The food was plentiful and pretty. I especially liked the hot sausage, chicken, and ribs. The service was very welcoming. Overall twas a good time.

Edgar P.

Yelp
Love the food at Ruby Red's. We tried the family meal for 4. Brisket was delicious and service was great. Love the vibe at the restaurant. Very friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely coming back!! Server was pleasant, the ambiance was family friendly- even tho the place is not big like a big room the way it's broken down into the sections that they have, Just made the evening pleasant! They honored the reservation we got there on time they right away took us to our table! And OMG the food delicious the wait was a bit long! But so worth it Definitely recommend and going back
google avatar

Veronica D.

Yelp
When you walk in, the place has a pretty nice ambience, cool decor, the staff is very friendly and attentive. I think the price point is high for what you are served, a plate of brisket with two sides is over $30, the meat was decent, but the french fries were very underwhelming, they reminded me of the frozen waffle fries you would buy from a grocery store.
google avatar

Crystal B.

Yelp
I would say this place is a hidden gem. Was not expecting the decor to be so nice to look at and detailed. Like I absolutely loved the decor and the booth seating is so cute. This is like the perfect little romantic barbecue date. With all the sides made from scratch and obviously the meat was so tender and I'm really picky about my meat as well. The cornbread was decent but mac & cheese, barbecue brisket and Everything else was like on point. The service was friendly as well we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Definitely coming back.
google avatar

Eduardo J.

Yelp
Friendly, attentive service and good food. I ordered the brisket plate with cole slaw, corn bread and waffle fries; my wife ordered the ribs with mac and cheese, corn bread and brisket beans. We've both had Memphis barbecue before and these dishes could definitely hold their own against them. Only negative was that the sauces were just meh. I wouldn't make a long drive to eat here again BUT if I were in the area (like at Knotts' Berry Farm, for example) and wanted BBQ, I'd definitely stop in.
google avatar

Becky B.

Yelp
Get there in time for breakfast because it's good. Plenty to choose from and the servings are plenty. The servers are usually prompt and friendly. Try their limited time burritos, regular or spicy which comes with 2 delicious and warm beignets or country potatoes. If you order the beignets order one of the delicious sauces: lemon curd, chocolate or caramel. All good. Also, their benedicts are also delicious and there's a few baritones. I really appreciate the cowboy decor plus the decorative windows with outdoor scenes so you feel like you're looking outside. I think you'll be pleased and full.
google avatar

Mary N.

Yelp
Nice friendly service. Love the decor, it's like a saloon! Mac n cheese and corn bread were delicious! Beef rib was huge and very tender (only available Fri & Sat) Brisket was very tender. Didn't even need a knife to cut Pulled pork was dry, but eating it with the mac n cheese helped Pork rib was okay Server was very kind to give us all the sauces to try. My favorite was the hot sauce. Happy hour 2-6pm: $1 off all sides, $3 draft beers, $12 2 sliders
google avatar

Yelp
I really want to gate keep this place because I don't want to have to wait to eat here lol. We tried breakfast here today and we will definitely be back. Our hostess Pricilla was amazing and recommended the sampler pancake platter, it was delicious. My fav is the Biscoff but banana foster and blueberry were incredible too. My husband had the Brisket Breakfast burrito a d he said he'd give it a 10. Cool vibes, mellow country music playing that my husband and I ended up downloading while dining lol. Great place to give a try, great food, great vibe and great service. Thank Pricilla for the recommendation. See you soon.

Yelp
Ruby Red's BBQ has the BEST SOUTHERN BRUNCH in the OC!! It's a hidden gem in La Habra! They have a variety of Pancakes, Waffles, Brioche French Toast, Omelettes, Benedicts, Avocado Toast and their Ruby Specials like their Brisket and Eggs gives you a taste of their mouthwatering BBQ! The New Orleans Beignets are fluffy, soft and sweet from the powdered sugar! Eat them while they're warm!! The Brisket and eggs, Coconut Lemon Curd Brioche French Toast and Beignets are definite MUST-TRYS!! I love the Western theme vibes!! The aromatic smells from kitchen of their great tasting BBQ!! Wonderful customer service!!

Yelp
Service was good. The food was okay. Meat was tender but not a whole lot of flavor. Mac and cheese was very good. I personally did not like the beans. Coleslaw was very good. Very specious inside. Can accommodate large party's. My overall opinion is it's okay.

Yelp
Randomly searched Yelp for a breakfast spot and discovered this hidden gem! I was skeptical bc it looked like a BBQ spot... but their breakfast blew my mind! Definitely coming back to try the BBQ. Priscilla hooked us up with some FREE beignets - OMG they were delicious, they weren't dense at all! They had pockets inside and that caramel sauce poured inside the fluffy beignets was a mouth orgasm! Pictured: coconut lemon curd pancake, buttermilk pancake, Brisket and Eggs special, and Carolina omelette.

Yelp
Wow!! Ruby Red's has it all - food is fantastic, ambiance and decor are amazing, service is excellent. Our server was Priscilla and she was great, so attentive and friendly. The interior design here is nuts - just so cool and unique. We were so surprised walking in. I wish there were more restaurants like this around, that are themed and willing to have fun with that theme. Food was delicious!!! My boyfriend's exact words a few minutes ago: "I wasn't expecting such a great meal today." We got the BarbeCuban (check out the candied jalapeños, omgggg) with mac n cheese, eggs/potatoes, and we had to get beignets. All fantastic, will definitely be back.

Yelp
Fairly priced for great quality food. It feels like you are transported to a midwestern country side area when you step in. Miguel and Kevin were super helpful and attentive. Jalapeño cheese sticks are a must before your entree.

Yelp
Came in today to do a quick last minute order for take out. Kevin was so kind to help me out and explain the menu to me as I was a first time customer here. I ordered a full rack of pork rib and man they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!! They was sooooo tender and just sliding off the bone! The flavor on these bad boys was beyond amazing! I'm so happy I drove by and thought I would just give it a try. The Ambiance is super cute. Cowboy/western rustic chic. The restaurant itself is big enough to handle a large crowd, but small enough to be unique in its own right. I highly recommend this place, the customer service was top-notch. The food was delicious and the ambience was great. I will definitely be recommending this place and bringing friends Back with me next time.

Yelp
This place was pretty cool. The set up made me feel I was in a western. It was like a saloon. Food was very tasty. I had the fried pickles and there were ok. If you love pickles then you would enjoy them. For my dish I got the brisk with two sides. Brisket was soft and it melted in your mouth. It was perfect. The BBQ sauce was ok. I like my sauce to have some spice. For my sides, I had Mac cheese. It was really good. Creamy cheesy. Had a good flavor. My other side was waffle fries. They were good as well. For dessert. We tried there Louisiana beignets. That ended the meal with a smile. I do want to come back to try their pancakes and breakfast.

Yelp
Food: the food here is plentiful and so fresh. I shared The Platter and we had lots of leftovers. The sides were delicious, brisket beans and collard greens. Ambience: I love the decorations and it a very classy, western themed. I can't wait to come during Christmas. Service: everyone is very friendly, especially Jeanette. She was very polite, courteous and friendly. She persuaded me to come back for breakfast and I definitely will.

Yelp
When I tell you this is by far the best BBQ, service, and country atmosphere around, I mean it! Me and my boyfriend's family came to celebrate his father's birthday. My boyfriend and I arrived on time at 7 pm for our reservation but had a misunderstanding and the parents ended up being late, we didn't get food in until around closing at 8, but the entire time not once did our server make us feel rushed or that we were over staying our welcome. Kevin was our server and he was SOOO awesome. Told us all the good deals and what is the best bang for our buck- even told us his favorite sides. Ordered the family feast and it was A-LOT of food but every bite was so delicious. We asked about the dessert early cause we didn't want to intrude and he told us not to worry about a thing and order it when we were ready. Hands down some of the best service I've ever had. THANK YOU KEVIN!! And thank you to the other staff that stayed and made our experience so worth it! 10000/10 coming again.

Yelp
Here celebrating Mother's Day with my wife and our children. Priscilla, Janice, Miguel, and the rest of the staff always are very welcoming. They have truly become extended family. Love the upgrades of the decor. Food is always excellent. Thank you Ruby Red Family for always a wonderful experience.

Yelp
Date night at this well decorated western ambiance that transported us back to a few bbq joints like it Montana around Yellowstone or Wyoming Jackson hole. Anyhow back to the food, $46.99 pick two meats(brisket and pulled pork) sides were brisket beans and waffle fries. And ordered another side salad because there wasn't enough veggies offered as sides like green beans or asparagus which would go well with these meats. The portions were perfect to share on a date night for two. But if you have kids with you or other adults this deal would not be filling and you will require additional meats like the meats combo upgrades or premium craft meat meals. The brisket alone without the bbq sauce tasted normal and soft not as juicy but was alright. The pulled pork was dry and definitely need the sauces because alone it was just pulled pork. This place being a local business and the effort to decorate the interior and the servers were all so helpful and portions is what gets the 4 stars. I'll have to try this joint again it being a local shop and try their meats again for consistency and quality because it's hard to not compare it to other bbq joints like Villains Brewing Company has juicy and flavorful meats and waffle fries but it's a busy brewing company and outdoors so foot tend to get cold quicker or Craft smoke and fire which is over priced and over salted but it is juicy bbq but not consistent. Also because this place serves breakfast my family will be back to give it a try! Also a huge plus that they offer gluten free options! Well done!

Yelp
We've been here more than a few times before for lunch and dinner. Even brought out of town friends to check it out. It never disappointed. I've always loved the cornbread. This holiday weekend, we decided to check out their new breakfast menu. I was surprised to see the new add-on room. I love the kitschy/ but classy old west look. Now you had me at bacon from a BBQ place, but you add in beignets and I'm there. The wonderfully friendly waitress suggested we try the syrup on the beignets and it was perfect. We'll have to try the lemon curd next time...and there will be a next time. Another at our table had the eggs and brisket was a huge meal for the price. And that meat was amazingly tender. My biscuit sandwich was good, but the breakfast potatoes weren't as great as the dinner side ones.

Yelp
I came to this restaurant a few weeks ago, and unfortunately, I left a little disappointed. I had ordered the 2 meat platter, with the brisket and pulled pork. For sides, i ordered the creamed corn and the fries. The fries were crispy and salted, as expected. The creamed corn was okay, I wished it was a little creamier. However, the rest of the platter was a little bit of a let down. The brisket was pretty dry and bland in all honesty. I wished there had been more of a rub/bark; some pieces had more than others, so you never knew if the bite you were taking was going to be full of flavor or if it was going to be more on the unseasoned side. The pulled pork unfortunately was also pretty dry. For a bbq spot, I thought the meats would have more of a smoky flavor, but it only had a whisper of smokiness, almost as if they had used a smoke gun rather than a smoker for an extended period of time. I had also ordered a sweet tea, but that unfortunately was also a let down and not representative of the sweet tea that you would find in the southern bbq states. The restaurant itself was pretty empty, which was especially shocking since I came on a Saturday afternoon. When we were sat, there was a huge spider next to our table, so we did request to switch tables. I know that pests can be found at a lot of places, but it did make me question the cleanliness of the restaurant. Unfortunately, this restaurant just did not live up to my bbq expectations.
