Love Ruby’s! Always a fun vibe especially on a nice day and the staff are super friendly. Tacos and the Caesar wrap are great, nothing earth-shattering but always consistently good! I will say that the cost sneaks up on you quickly if you’re not paying attention but it’s worth it!

Awesome spot in the Sunset - super flavorful tacos, and fresh crunchy veggies and chips with the black bean hummus, rainbow salad was also A+. But fam favorite was the kids carnitas quesadilla. Luckily our kids shared with us.

This is what I’m taco’n about ;-) Great tacos and chips with elite guacamole and another pesto like dip. Favorite tacos were: 1) shrimp and 2) hamburger. Fish taco could have been better.

Lovely spot by the beach! Super friendly staff and gorgeous to sit outside when the weather is nice! Chicken Caesar wrap is amazing - perfect crunch And not messy at all! Looks like they have something for everyone on the menu!

Awesome little gem at Ocean Beach!..food is top quality and the portions are generous..Had the fisherman’s stew which was perfect for a colder S.F. day, satisfied just like a classic cioppino with a little south of the border twist. My wife had the poke bowl which was as visually appealing as it was delicious. The little gem Cesar as a shareable starter was also very good topped with chicken and the toasted pumpkin seeds add a nice earthy crunch..I highly recommend this place as a quick bite or a sit down with friends or family 🤙🏽

What a treat! The food was fresh, very delicious, and came out so quickly. Loved the homemade salsa that came with the chips and guacamole. Tacos were a generous size and fun flavors. The staff were lovely! Such a great addition to the neighborhood! Definitely coming back.

Finally, after the vegan Beach'N's years long reign of terror, something worth the hype comes to the corner of 48th and Judah. The first reviewer's comments on ambiance, staff, vibes, etc are spot on so I'll refer anyone reading this to that review. The Fisherman's Stew is my new favorite dish, not just in the Sunset, but all of the city. Sitting outside on a chilly Sunset day/evening, armed with nothing but the stew to keep me warm, is now a favorite activity of mine. I will be praying for cold days as an excuse to go sit outside and eat that stew. This is the first (and probably only review I've ever written, but I felt compelled to leave one because of how much I enjoyed Ruby's. If the neighborhood knows what's good for itself, people will come support this place. Come check it out.

Place is such a killer vibe....ocean and authentic sf city vibes. Fisherman Stew is what keeps me coming back. Filling, warm, fresh, tasty! Rec getting a side of chips to scoop up all the juice!

Oh man I am SO happy about this amazing addition to the Sunset, what an absolute gem this place is! I stopped by with a friend last week, and we aimed to try as many things as possible on the menu. What I immediately noticed was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff-- everyone there just had great energy and you could tell were happy to be there. The space itself is stunning-- I liked the place it was before, but this is a whole other level. It's bright, airy, with well thought out decor and details that really breathed new life back into the place. You can tell the new owners were incredibly thoughtful and meticulous about each design choice, and it shows! As a lover of margaritas, I had to try their signature "low ABV marg"-- apparently they are made with agave wine and it was AMAZING. I could easily have, like, 5. We then split the following (and don't judge the volume of food, we came starving): Apps: -ceviche (I could drink this broth, look at the color of it!! my favorite menu item I think) -Black Bean Hummus plate (so fresh and tasty, could tell it was made in house) Tacos: -carnitas (my favorite!!) -shrimp and corn -ribeye -fish -cauliflower Dessert: -Caramelized banana paleta (SO GOOD) I brought my kids back later in the week for the superhero plate which you can tell was designed by a mom as it covered all the bases :). No crumbs left! Overall, a true 5 star experience for me, and can't wait to make this a regular stop for us! Welcome, Ruby's!

Stopped by yesterday on their first day open and the place looks great. The service was quick and the servers were extremely friendly. Food: I ordered 1 ribeye taco, 1 blackened prawn taco and a Michelada. The prawn taco was tasty with great flavor but the corn to prawn ratio was bit off. The ribeye taco was delicious in flavor but felt like it could've used one more thing to it besides a few pickled onions. The michelada was tasty but could've used a little more seasoning. Overall, this place definitely has my attention and I will definitely be going back to try more of the tacos and other food options. I saw someone having the fisherman's stew and it looked pretty legit.

Ruby's is a great addition to the neighborhood! My kids love the super hero plate (and I love the leftovers). The ribeye taco is super unique and is probably my favorite taco in SF right now. The Irish Taco with a Guiness is a nice combo as well. Ruby's is definitely in my regular rotation these days.

Newly opened neighborhood restaurant. Tried the tacos which were all excellent; shout out to the fish tacos, carnitas tacos, and breakfast-style chorizo/egg tacos. The salsa verde is very fresh and delicious...wish they'd bottle it! Service is friendly and efficient. A nice homely buzz about the place. Not much seating inside, but plenty of space outside in their parklet which is where we decided to enjoy our food. Looking forward to visiting again.

Had a delicious lunch here with my 11 month old son the other week. Ribeye and carnitas tacos are delicious! Loved the bean dip perfect for my son to snack on as well. Nick, one of the owners, was awesome and provided us with excellent service. Definitely come check out this new spot by the beach, you wont be disappointed!

A block away from Sunset Dunes is your new favorite taco spot. The friendly green facade draws you in, then you're immediately greeted by their kind and knowledgeable staff behind the counter, and an ambience that perfectly fits the chill, beachy vibe of the Sunset with a combination of warm tones and a fun use of color and artwork. It's a space that is inviting and open to all with both indoor and outdoor seating. (And a clean bathroom!!) Must haves: the mellow (low ABV) margs, their insane selection of tacos made with the very best tortillas (hello ribeye tacos!!), and locally made paletas that are naturally sweetened with dates and are the best way to end your meal. Don't sleep on the banana cream flavor. On a cooler day, the fisherman's stew is phenomenal and will warm you right up, and obviously chips and guac are always the right call featuring their warm and perfectly salted chips. Kids are welcome and their kids' quesadilla served with fruit, avocado, and a sweet treat will make any kiddo (and parent eating the leftovers) very happy. Whether it's a grab and go situation you're looking for or a casual sit down experience, Ruby's is your place. It's quickly become a beloved neighborhood gem that rivals Cheers where everybody knows your name and as a Sunset resident, I am ecstatic they're here!

Rubys has amazing food and a very nice ambiance. Anything you order is quality and delicious. Staff is super friendly. Highly recommend!

Ruby's is an absolute gem and exactly what this neighborhood needs! Nick and Monique are the kindest owners -- so welcoming and hospitable. The poke bowl was incredible -- fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced so every bite was the perfect bite, with all the ingredients coming together from start to finish. The chips (hot and just the right amount of salt) with guacamole and salsa verde were insanely good with generous portions of each dip (a rare find!). The location near the beach is perfect, and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the vibe. The tacos are bursting with flavor - you can't go wrong with any choice! Can't wait to come back and try everything else on the menu -- fresh food, big portions, and unbeatable flavor! Looking forward to coming back ASAP!

Bottle the salsa so I can have Ruby's with everything I make at home!! Such a delightful spot to add to the weekly Sunset rotation.

Ruby's is a new fast casual restaurant just steps away from Ocean Beach. Housed in a green building, the decor of the restaurant feels warm, cozy and bright. My husband and I stopped in on a chilly night and ordered the Fisherman's Stew, the fish taco, the cauliflower taco and the chips and guacamole. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly and we especially enjoyed the stew which has generous portions of seafood. I also loved the fish taco. The fish is local and sustainably sourced, which is also a plus. There are also items on the menu for vegans and vegetarians. Save room for dessert, because the paletas are amazing and made locally in small batches. We had the mango and coconut which was divine. The spot is perfect for families, a casual date night or gathering with friends after a day at the beach. I need to spend more time with the drink menu the next time I visit. Quick note, the restaurant only has counter service. The staff was welcoming and friendly and our food came quickly. The prices were very reasonable. We will be back!

Great fresh food! The tortillas were perfect. Perfect with the Bohemia. 2 tacos, guacamole and a beer made a great lunch.

I was able to visit Ruby's opening week with my kids and it was AMAZING! Perfect spot to grab some easy yet delicious food (at a reasonable price!) before heading to the beach - which is exactly what we did. We ordered the market fish taco, the carnitas taco, the super hero plate and two orders of chips, salsa & guac (yes they were that good) and it was all mom and kid approved! I am a complete snob when it comes to chips and salsa and these are legit. Thick and crispy with the perfect amount of salt. I would go back to Ruby's just for these. I was only able to have one bite of the market fish taco before my kiddo stole it from me because he liked it so much! Wish I had ordered two! The superhero plate was also delicious - not to be ignored just because it's for kids. The tortilla was amazing and I found myself eating my kid's little bit of leftovers because it was so tasty. Kids also loved the Paletas, which are made locally in SF, and the Strawberry Limeade. Definitely heading back soon to try the low abv marg and of course more chips and salsa! Overall, great addition to the Outer Sunset and can't wait to go back to try more!

I love this new restaurant down at the beach in SF. What a great addition to the Sunset. I've now tried all their tacos and they're all amazing. It's really hard to pick a favorite. The ribeye, the egg and chorizo, and the shrimp with corn are the top three I love. And best of all they have an amazing sangria. I truly love this place and I can't wait to go back.!

The food was very good. We had tacos and the hummus veggie plate was very nice. Liked the carnitas taco and ribeye ones the best. I really think you need to get some hot sauces in bottles (not packets, unless it's for takeout). I thought the fish taco could have used more seasoning, but glad it didn't taste fishy. Looking forward to going there again!
