Google
I got the baked potato with the moist brisket on top along with the jalapeno cheddar sausage on the side. The brisket itself was extremely soft and paired very well with the potato and the sausage was juicy and savory.

Google
Best brisket. I loved the corn. Delicous bbq . Great place.

Google
We were coming through Houston and were searching for a quick place to stop for BBQ. Initially I was a little skeptical, but had misjudged. This is an order at the counter type of place and everything is a’ la carte - but don’t give up yet. The meat is served by weight and is absolutely amazing! The moist brisket was so good. The star of the show: the cream corn!!! Oh my! Seriously, other than the lack luster service of those working the counter - this place is 100% worth visiting.

Google
Loved the “moist” brisket and jalapeño sausages. The atmosphere was so relaxing and pleasant. Very country. I highly recommend.

Google
I was in Houston for some training for the week, and we were catered Rudy's. I was pleased to find out how good it was. We had brisket, sausage, and chicken as the main course. We also had potato salad, slaw & creamed corn for sides. The brisket was tender and smoky. The chicken was juicy, and the sausage had an excellent flavor. My favorite side was the creamed corn, so good! I also liked the sauces. If I'm ever in Houston again, I will definitely be back!

Google
Fantastic place to eat some traditional Texan Brisket. Fast service, great quality food. Worth visiting.

Google
Maria, Michelle and Daysi are the best they took care of my order for 20 plus lbs brisket and handled it very fast and friendly despite the short notice. They took care of my every need making sure I had condiments and plates and made sure I was not forgetting anything. I will definitely be back soon

Google
This is my first bad experience at any Rudy's. I placed an order online got there 30 min before order was completed. I honestly had no problem waiting for the order I called and checked in when I arrived let them know I was early if they could get it out sooner I would appreciate it. There was no one inside and I parked right in front of the window. The staff was upfront playing around I called asked to speak to a manager she told me they do have other orders I just don't see them. Which is true I can't their orders but I can see an empty restaurant and workers horseplaying while they watched their customer wait over 35 minutes for a chopped beef sandwich and corn. If it was busy i wouldn't have had a problem waiting at all. I was the only one in curbside and after waiting the sandwich was cold. I won't visit this location again

Yelp
Best BBQ spot in Houston. Always fast and friendly service, usually gets pretty busy during lunch rush but can order online and have it delivered curbside. I'd recommend the brisket, chicken, cream corn, and the baked potato since you get an option of 2 meats. The bbq sauce is also available by the bottle, it's my favorite so I use it for everything.

Yelp
Delicious BBQ! Don't let the gas station out front fool you or prevent you from checking this place out. We had a Moist Brisket sandwich with new potatoes in butter, a jalapeño cheddar sausage sandwich and creamed corn. So good!
google avatar

Emily N.

Yelp
Great bbq and lots of seating. The brisket was amazing, I would suggest not to get the prime rib or request to get it cut thinly because it was more dry. The ribs were also very tender and delicious. And soup was a family favorite

Yelp
I'm a fan of this place. Every time I have the opportunity I go to delight their exquisite bbq ribs, the sides they offer are very yummy (recommended: The cream Corn), I am not a fan of the brisket but my partner loves it. The price is fair compared to other places, without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants.

Yelp
It's starts with the aroma. Smoky and silky. It will draw you in. This BBQ place was recommended by my friend who lives in Houston. Coming from Los Angeles, I cannot wait what's Texas BBQ is like. We're a party of 10 expecting the unexpected. Going in was like Disneyland to us. Eyes wide open and mouths were begging for a napkin to wipe our drools. Hehe! The menu delegated the protein selections. We pretty much ordered almost everything or whatever is available (we came late evening). Right off the bat, everything we saw was a treat! The food, ambience, and service were excellent. It made our experience worth while!

Yelp
After a long weekend out of state, Rudy's is always a comforting sight on the way home from the airport! Clean, well lit. Walking in, there's a general store to the left with all kinds of goodies! Although the line was out the door for their AWESOME bbq, the staff was friendly and fast. We got a lil of everything! Ribs, moist brisket, sausage and the last of the prime rib! Nice they have scales right at each register. The Boy loves their buttermilk pie. And MrM and I shared the homemade peach cobbler! Nothing says home like Rudy's BBQ!
google avatar

Yelp
Missed our exit when driving by...we turned around because we knew it would be worth it, AND IT WAS!!! Best BBQ around, hands down. I bought a pound of the incredibly divine turkey, and also got a pound of baby back ribs to gobble down real quick!! Omg do yourself a favor and come buy these two delicious meats. Nothing is better. Nothing! (I am straight up reviewing while sitting in the restaurant! That's my passion level)

Yelp
Thank you Rudy's for your service, our power went out because of the storm that hit us on May 16,2024. We couldn't find any food place around us open but you were and I thank y'all for it we were able to feed our kids and us. Food is always good.

Yelp
I've been to the location off I-45 near Spring and after trying it there, I've jumped aboard the Rudy's wagon/train/WhateverYouCallIt. So this past Sunday I was on 290 and the bbq craving kicked in so stopped in here and got in line for the fix. Went with Prime Rib (a must get), baby back ribs, Turkey Breast, potato salad, Rudy's beans, and some banana pudding to wash it down. Obviously the prime rib was delicious at the Spring location and tasted just as good at this one. The ribs were a bit tough but flavor was there. Turkey also had flavor although a bit dry; fortunately I had some of those pickles to compensate for that. The potato salad solid as always. Very impressed with the beans; very good consistency and pieces of brisket mixed in. The banana pudding was ok; it was missing something, good sweetness but the texture was too mushy compared to how I typically like banana puddings. Nonetheless I'd order it again. I've said it before; I'll echo it again: Rudy's is the finest chain bbq you'll ever have. While there's better bbq elsewhere, for the price and ease of ordering and receiving your items, Rudy's does the job.

Yelp
Innovative and Creative! A gas station, a mini-sized country store, and BBQ restaurant all in one! I absolutely love this establishment and location! Rudy's offer delicious and flavorful wood fired oak smoked bbq! Their menu is a simple traditional one which consists of brisket, links, chicken, pork ribs, and turkey. They have a variety of desserts and sides; coleslaw, beans, potato salad, cream corn, baked potatoes, three bean salad, corn-on-the-cob, banana pudding, peach cobbler, buttermilk pie, & more! My family and I enjoyed our delicious smoked turkey sandwich, sausage sandwich, spicy chop sandwich, plain turkey, coleslaw, and cream corn. I ordered the 1/4 plain turkey breast and coleslaw and paired it with a few pickles and onions. I wish they would offer a nice healthy raw green salad on the menu but unfortunately it's not there. The coleslaw was delicious and the cool part about it was that all the mayonnaise and watery contents were at the bottom of the container and not on the coleslaw. I hate coleslaw that is heavily doused with mayonnaise, ewww! The smoked turkey breast was phenomenal and full of flavor. It was not too salty but just right especially with the pickles and onions, oh my! I added a little bit of their house made "sissy sause" which is the non-spicy BBQ sauce. It's so good y'all! It added more umph to the flavored smoked turkey breast! My family said they enjoyed their sandwiches and the cream corn immensely! It was one of my family members first time trying Rudy's and she fell head-over-heels in love with their cream corn, lol! She said, "it has the potential of being addictive!" My hubby had the turkey breast sandwich in which he poured the "spicy sause" all over. He said that the bun was "buttery and toasted to golden brown perfection!" My ten year old grandson tore his bbq sausage sandwich up. He made it disappear like a magician! I was like, "whoa buddy! That sandwich must have been delicious!" He said while rubbing his belly, "It really was Momo! It was delicious!" Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience! It was nice and clean in the dining area which by the way is large and spacious and great for accommodating enormous gatherings! The wait staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and kind! The ambience was peaceful and quiet, but it can get pretty noisy during busy hours. There was also a 4th of July or patriotic type of vibe in the wall decor and the red and white checkered board styled table cloths. They provide flat screen monitors great for watching your fav sporting events like the Houston Astros in the playoffs! Go Astos! They have ample parking in the parking area. I would love to give them five stars, however no healthy salad on the menu has me holding on to that last star. Other than that, it's a great establishment!

Yelp
I've been to a lot of bbq places in my time and I still say for just the purpose of brisket, Rudy's does it best. For me the moist brisket is amazing. I'm really only there for that I'm not crazy for any of the sides to me they don't really offer a lot but totally worth it for the meat

Rob B.

Yelp
We have come here for the last 10 years and have had only great things to say about it. Today, I asked for baby back ribs and saw the meat cutter pull out an old bag of ribs that someone had sent back. They proceeded to pull them out of the bag and put them on the scale and then bring them over and try to sell them to me. I said no that is not acceptable and asked for the manager. The manager, Javier, came over and I asked him what was going on and why is that acceptable. He said it's normal and someone probably just sent rum back. He wasn't bothered by it at all. Very disgusting. Watch where they get your cuts from. If Javier is the manager they may have been in someone else's plate or been touched, he's good with it.

Yelp
First time trying Texas bbq. Brisket is SO GOOD. Best thing, honestly. We had the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. Ribs were dry, so I was kind of smothering them in their house sauce that was on the table. Place was pretty clean! They had a station were you could grab your own pickles, onions, peppers, etc. They also gave bread (white or wheat) with your order. I liked that they supplied parchment for the tables and even gloves, if you wanted. The potato salad and coleslaw were good as well, not the best I've had, but still good. Will definitely come again during our next Texas visit!

Yelp
I'm so disappointed. Actually disappointed is not a strong enough word. My experience was very disheartening. I don't know what happened to this place. A year ago I would've given this place 4 or 5 stars. Today's experience was quite the opposite. Everything I tried today from the brisket, jalapeño sausage, and prime rib was lukewarm at best and lacked any spices/flavor whatsoever. The only thing that was kind of hot, was the creamed corn. You would expect on a Friday night at 6:30 p.m. for the food to be hot, but maybe it was just an off day.
google avatar

Selina L.

Yelp
Excellent BBQ, best brisket I've ever had (specifically, the brisket moist!). The other meats are also good, but not as good as that brisket moist. Also great sides, I love the potato salad and creamed corn.
google avatar

Ken T.

Yelp
Recently went to Rudy's again for a family event. We reserved the party room and the customer service was excellent! One of the employees had cut his hand but hadn't missed a day of work. That's dedication. The BBQ is good, I especially like the ribs and the brisket. That being said I don't think it's mind blowing, just really solid. The thing that sets Rudy's apart for me is the creamed corn. The corn is creamy, sweet, and worth the drive. If you're looking for a frame of reference it's similar to the corn stuff that Chevy's used to include when they existed. Just creamier and more favorful. Don't sleep on the corn.

Laura W.

Yelp
Such good bbq Very friendly and clean. The Tea is so good The Potato salad Love when we get to visit Rudy's!!!!

Yelp
An unusual but usual find in Texas. The restaurant had a gas station attached to it, so it kind of look like a rest stop. Everything is served cafeteria style and all looks appetizing. I ordered half a pound of ribs, creamed corn, and beans. Everything was served in a laundry basket, which I thought was strange. The ribs were a little dry but the sauces made up for it. Their original sauce was a tiny bit spicy, so I'm not sure how a child would handle it but it was tasty. The mild sauce was also called "sissy sauce," so that was kind of offputting. I didn't try it cause I was not a sissy. They also served some white bread -- I got two slices but my friend wound up being handed half a loaf. There were also various pickles served as well.... They were ok. Food is fine for what it was, it was cheap and tasty, but I don't think it would knock your socks off.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
The Brisket Moist was the best thing ever. The kind of stuff dreams are made of. Can't wait to go back for some more! The creamed corn was okay.

Michele R.

Yelp
Food is always on point and they are so quick. Especially love the turkey and the lean brisket!
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
Brisket was fall apart good, I prefer a sweeter sauce, which they did not offer. But it didn't discourage me from Getting my teeth in the tender piece of meat! The coleslaw was very tasty '

Avery ..

Yelp
I would choose Rudy's over Killens BBQ. Brisket moist is always on point. Good price. I don't live close but I would take a drive for this place
google avatar

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Meh, beef brisket moist at least to me was dry. Didn't care for the style of coleslaw which wasn't creamy. However the sweet tea was EXCELLENT! Took some more to go.
google avatar

Joanna Q.

Yelp
I have eaten Rudy's BBQ since I was a little kid. My dad used to order me a bunch of BBQ and I would scarf it down. This is a great Rudy's to go to. One thing is, the line is usually very long. However, it goes very fast and the people working at the checkout are always incredibly nice and work super fast. There is also a gas station here which is super cool. They provide free buffet condiments with raw onions (LOVE), pickles, and more. I definitely recommend coming here for BBQ. I usually get the baby back ribs, the brisket, the creamed corn, and the beans.
google avatar

Izbel T.

Yelp
We placed an online pickup order. I expected good things based on several reviews I read on yelp. The entire meal was disappointing. My sweet tea tasted watered down. My friend took one sip of her coke and immediately made a face, she said it tasted like pool water. Neither of us enjoyed the Beef Brisket. She said hers was salty but she ate most of it. I had the Brisket Sandwich, I thought it was lacking flavor so I smothered it in the provided bbq sauce, the only decent part of our meal. The brisket had an odd taste that I felt in the back of my mouth with every bite. I had a small order of the beans and they could definitely use more seasoning, not enough flavor. My friend had the creamed corn and did not eat it past the first bite, she made a disgusted face again. The corn on the cob was ok, not sweet enough. We ordered it because it's august, corn season, so she expected the corn would be very sweet. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the food at this place at all. Maybe I'm just used to food with a lot more seasoning and flavor. They provided a few packets of salt an pepper but I shouldn't have to season the food myself to make it good.
google avatar

Jose F.

Yelp
Not the best barbecue you can get in Texas but its a decent standard. Not overpriced i think its just right. Personally the Turkey is phenomenal!
google avatar

Sue R.

Yelp
The potato was amazing service was fast the establishment was very clean I will go back again
google avatar

Rakesh M.

Yelp
Pretty good bbq spot, and there are a bunch of them so there are multiple locations to go to. Was very large with lots of seating, which is a big plus when trying to grab a quick lunch. Moist brisket is the way to go, really tender and tasty. I also liked their potato salad, it was normal (not the kind that is more like cold mashed potatoes). Would definitely go again if in the area.

Tammy S.

Yelp
I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich. It was so dry, I couldn't eat it. For the price, I'm so disappointed. If you get this , make sure to get extra sauce.
google avatar

Leslie B.

Yelp
Always hit the spot! The food is delicious and always appreciate the small talk from the cashier.
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
The bbq is good but I hate that everything comes so separate. You order a Turkey sandwich and it's literally just meat on a dry bun.
google avatar

Cathy P.

Yelp
Love this place! First time here, first time to Texas actually. My friend who frequents Texas said we had to come here for the brisket, and they did not disappoint. The cashier that took our order was nice and sweet. Because I love to sample everything, per usual, I ordered wayyy to much food for two people. Best advice I can give you...don't skip the brisket. We got 1 lbs of moist brisket. A la carte. And then i ordered everything else...a whole jalepeno sausage, and my favorite smoked potato with 2 meat topping. I chose brisket and Spicy chop. It was so worth gaining all the weight I loss for this trip! also got the potato salad, coleslaw and creamed corn, all on point! Will visit again, when I come back! Enjoy!
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
Great place for family and friends. Had a great time and great BBQ food. A good taste of Texas.

Diane C.

Yelp
Our organization ordered 8 pounds of lean brisket and 4 pounds of sausage. When I picked it up, it was nicely packed in aluminum pans and came with the sauce, pickles, onions, jalapeños, and bread I requested. All we had to do was set it out on the table. Everyone who ate was very complimentary, saying it was some of the best barbecue they had ever eaten. The price was very reasonable, too. We will definitely use them again.
google avatar

Fiona Z.

Yelp
Some darned good BBQ at Rudy's. I don't know much about bbq, but my family was trying our best to try different types as we drove through several states and this was one of our favorites. I wish we had something like this in California. I've never been a big fan of barbecue and after this trip I can see why. SoCal bbq is just a little lackluster (possibly due to some weird regulations around bbq-ing meat on-site or something). They have a bar with utensils and condiments, including lemons, onions, pickles, and jalapeños. It was a highlight because every single one of those is so good with meat. Best part is we could grab as much as we want. So, so good. The brisket and the sausage were my personal favorites. Just some notes because you can't go wrong with anything: * their sissy sauce tastes like ketchup * the creamed corn is thicker than I've had anywhere else * domestic beer was $3 * cobbler is super sweet
google avatar

Doug V.

Yelp
This place is always great. I really only get the brisket and Sausage but the other things are also great. I come here often to get my Rudy's fix. Lot's of great BBQ around but still have this on my regular list of places to go

Guy G.

Yelp
I contacted Rudy's and they refused to acknowledge they overcharged me. Horrible customer service.
google avatar

Nic P.

Yelp
I should've known that I wouldn't really love this place when I saw that it was in a gas station market. It does look like a restaurant inside, but I'm not sure about the gas pumps outside. I went in and I ordered a two meat sandwich with a small potato salad and a large drink. Altogether it was about $15. Let let me say that I had to get my own potato salad and my own drink. I stood at the counter while they made my sandwich. It was half sausage half brisket. When they rang me up it asked for a tip I am not tipping a business to help them pay their employees especially when I did 3/4 of the work myself. I think this is a really bad precedent and I hope people reject it. The guy that rung me up was not happy that I didn't leave a tip but he should really talk to his boss about a raise because he literally turned around and grabbed a sandwich and put it on the counter in front of me and rang me up. I had to walk one way to get the potato salad and the other way to get my drink. Now to the food. The potato salad tasted like it came from a grocery store. The sandwich, the sausage was excellent, but the brisket was so charred that I could taste it in the back of my throat all day. It was so bad and I could not get that taste out of my mouth. It was literally burned and charred and I just could not stop tasting it. This is not OK for Texas barbecue. so, if you're in a hurry, the sausage is pretty good, but stay away from the brisket oh my god.
google avatar

Yelp
119.00 expensive This is what I received Family Meal 6-7 people Comes with 3lbs of meat and 2 sides And loaf of bread Curbside
google avatar

Haytham O.

Yelp
Always good food at Rudy's . Also it is convenient , good service and a very family friendly environment.
google avatar

Kris J.

Yelp
The best brisket I've ever had. I'm from KC and I've had great brisket. But Rudy's in Houston was next level.
google avatar

Kirby B.

Yelp
I went here to have prime rib on a Saturday but they were sold out. The guy recommended the moist brisket so I got 1/4 pound of that also spicy sausage and 1/2 pound of baby back ribs. Got a side of Rudy's beans and Mac & cheese. It was $40 for that. So it seems kind of high priced. Do get me wrong it was good meat but I've had better for less money. The beans weren't the best and I wouldn't recommend them.
google avatar

Jamaya P.

Yelp
We ordered to-go so we didn't experience much service but I'd definitely go again. I had the ribs. No idea how the sizes worked and ordered a .25 pound of ribs and it came with just two of them. Now I know for next time and the creamed corn was sweet and delicious. My girlfriend is a Texas native and her go-to is the moist brisket and the potato salad. I hope next time I visit I can get the full Rudy's experience.

Yelp
Never disappointed, food is always good and fresh. Great bbq and tasty sides. Great atmosphere and like country living, I love it!!!!
google avatar

Flea D.

Yelp
The service was good, but the guy cutting the brisket must have been new. In the pound that I got, some slices were thin and some were very thick and everything inbetween. It was good, but a lot of BBQ around town is a lot better.

Yelp
Barbecue for breakfast??? Only in Texas. Loved this place. Our 1st morning in Houston and we were looking for a Texas experience. This was a typical BBQ counter service restaurant. Nice cashier helped us navigate the menu. Wood smoke permeated this place. I had a good feeling that this was going to be good. My group of 5 ordered various breakfast bowl combinations and I had two breakfast tacos. I ordered a brisket taco with eggs and cheese. Loved it! The other taco was a jalapeño sausage taco with potato's and cheese. The sausage was not as flavorful as the brisket. Our whole group loved what they ordered. My 'particular' daughter loved this funky place which says a lot. If I lived or worked in NW Houston, I would be at Rudy's once per week.
