The Rudy’s experience was absolutely incredible and the execution of service and cuisine was outstanding. For being their second full day of service to the public, we were blown away. Our server, Jill, was exceptional and without any hesitation or hitches, delivered an amazing experience.
For starters, we ordered the sourdough with the whipped butter with lemon, garlic confit, parsley, sea salt, both of which were perfect. We also ordered the wagyu meatballs, which were perfectly cooked and plated, and also tasted very good.
For our mains we ordered the 14oz Rosewood Ranch Ribeye and the Allen Brothers Prime Fillet. Both steaks were perfectly cooked medium rare and the fat from the steak absolutely melted in our mouths. The seasoning combined with the perfect crust on the steak was well balanced and the umami was very forward. Paired with the béarnaise sauce, these steaks were perfection.
Along with our mains we ordered the mac and cheese, and it blew our expectations away. As other mac and cheese in the Clarkston area has set the bar quite high, this mac and cheese has set a new standard and will be highly regarded as the best in the area. Our mac and cheese included the additional bacon and caramelized onions, balancing very well with the dish. We also ordered the roasted carrots. Difficult to make as a standout dish, this was well designed and played and tasted very great.
For dessert, we ordered the French Silk Pie, which was as close to flirting with dark chocolate as you can get without being dark chocolate. Absolutely exquisite. Presented as a mousse, this dish was very well thought out and executed. It was a perfect balance of bitter, sweet, and decadent.
For our cocktail, we ordered the Skyfall. This is one of our new top ten gin drinks we’ve had, and we are big fans of gin.
10/10 experience at Rudy’s tonight and I would recommend to anyone anytime.
