15 dining destinations worth visiting in Copenhagen - SilverKris

"An elegant artisanal bakery opposite Tivoli Gardens inside Villa Copenhagen, led by former Noma baker Gonzalo Guarda. The space—tiled floors and wooden cabinetry—turns out fresh croissants, cookies and cardamom buns during the day, while breakfast and lunch menus feature items like folded eggs with brown butter and sourdough, as well as veal schnitzel sandos. In the evening the venue softens into a laid‑back spot offering music, natural wines, cocktails and sourdough pizzas." - Christie Dietz

Very stylish bakery with a really nice atmosphere that makes you feel going back in time. Very classy. We took a Morning Plate and Sourdough bun. Both very nice. The bun with lots of seeds was very tasty. The cheese as well. We enjoyed our visit and breakfast here..

Tucked inside what looks like a fairly corporate hotel, this Danish bakery is actually a cool, design-led gem. It balances polished interiors with a bit of edge. The folded eggs are insanely good—rich, buttery, and best with a side of bacon (well worth the extra). Espresso was strong and spot-on, orange juice freshly squeezed, and the cinnamon pastry? Unreal. A brilliant breakfast spot that feels both refined and relaxed. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Copenhagen.

I could appreciate every ingredient and every flavor in every pastry. It's a pleasure to give in to the sweet temptation. The service is friendly, and the place is cozy and quiet, almost luxurious.

It was our best breakfast place in Copenhagen. We have been there twice during our stay. We went for the classic Danish breakfast called the Morning Plate, folded eggs and some pastries. After trying most of the well known bakeries, this place is definitely one of our bests. The whipped butter in the morning plate is heavenly, we liked that it’s unsalted. The apricot and cream filled bun is really great, it has a thin layer of dough and a delicate amount of cream filling. All the other pastries are nice and buttery. We also had a chance to have a nice chat with the pizza chef during our breakfast about Copenhagen, it was a nice connection for us. We would like to try their pizzas one day.

These are the best pastries I’ve ever tried. The croissant was so flaky. The eggs were nicely seasoned. The coffee quality is excellent. I find myself craving this place since coming back from Copenhagen

Great food & atmosphere. They have matcha latte 🍵 The pastries taste very good, and they have “bikinis”, a ham & cheese toastie (in Barcelona we call them “biquini” as well, but the type of cheese & the bread was was excellent here, I think it’s brioche bread).

i went to Rug Café by chance, and it turned out to be one of the best cafés I tried on my trip to Copenhagen. They offer a variety of seating areas, both indoor and outdoor, which is great for any mood or weather. You order at the counter, give them your table number, and they bring your order right to your table — super convenient. I highly recommend the Choix Rhubarb (100/10), the Almond Croissant (10/10), and the Flat White, which was really good. They have a great selection of pastries and dishes overall. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Copenhagen!

This place! We went here twice for breakfast during our stay in Copenhagen and we were blown away! When you enter, you grab a table (or are assigned one, on weekends), remember your table number, and make your order at the register. We tried different dishes every day and each one was fantastic. Rug are first and foremost amazing breadmakers, which is at the base of most of their items on the menu, but even just a croissant to your coffee will elevate your visit to the next level. And then, there's also a great display of skill in flavor combination. The overnight oats, for example, were seasoned in a way I've never tried before, and it was glorious. It's pricey, but the staff are professional and the food is top tier, making it both super worth it and memorable!
