Google
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Friendly staff and great service made our visit really enjoyable. We absolutely loved the masala chai and karak chai both were rich and perfectly brewed. The baklava was outstanding, just as good as the ones we had in Turkey, a definite must try! Tiramisu and matcha cake were delicious too. The cafe is clean, cool, and very comfortable, making it a perfect place to visit with family and friends. Highly recommended.

I walked into the shop and felt immediately at ease and welcomed. Such a great vibe and nice area for seating. I ordered a Masala Chai and it was absolutely delicious. I sat in the window and was able to get some work done! Really enjoyed the experience and will be back!

Google
The baklava and the lavender tea were both great. Small good vibe for doing work or taking a break. It was mostly really quiet which was nice. Good spot if you want the option of no sugar in any of the teas too.

Google
The sweets here are extremely amazing and so are the drinks, try everything. The owner who works behind the counter is extremely amazing and nice. I would for sure come back here again when I’m in the area. Support your local small business. The vibes are dope here.

Google
Cute spot, smells divine (chai) we waited forever for our beverages, but the joint was very crowded and there was only one person at the counter. They make everything to order, which is nice, but not if you're in a hurry. We chilled out in the outdoor space which was cool. Definitely check it out, but only if you have time to spare ... my beverage was worth the wait. You should go.

Google
I'm honestly disappointed because I was craving a masala chai similar to what I had in India and Queens. Pro: plenty of unique hot drinks options, including none caffeine drinks and pastries. The location is cozy. But very bright Con: takeout review - I only ordered a medium masala chai with sugar and milk for eleven dollars. The drink had a burnt smell with a hint of chai fragrance BUT it tasted so watered down. Not your typical creamy, spicy, and sweet black tea i was expecting. I was very disappointed. My ancestors would be disappointed

Google
There is a lot of baklava out there, you cannot beat homemade ones that pack the kind of bite that will leave you daydreaming for more. Paired with the fresh chai made to the order, you are in for a treat! Ruhani Cafe is a Brooklyn gem and definitely worth commuting to, if you are outside of the neighborhood. Not too many cafes in NYC provide relaxing, calming environments alongside good eats.

Google
Ruhani cafe is a nice spot. Tea and coffee is quite good. Cozy area with some options for small groups and for seating oneself. Service is super friendly. Very modern look, nice outdoor area that is currently plain. Fun spot for a group.

Yelp
Second time visiting and the Rose Chai is on point! Chai is strong and milky, with a noticeable floral taste and sweetness. Requests to be lightly sweeten can be made. Highly recommend sitting down to enjoy the chai vs to go. Enjoy a pastry while waiting. For a Sunday, there were a handful of people on their laptops. Indoors was packed but we managed to find two seats. We ventured outside to the backyard but unfortunately not cold weather ready. 5 stars for the chai and staff.

Yelp
Charming coffee and Chai shop in Boerum Hill. Fairly new to the area, I first became acquainted with Ruhani Cafe courtesy of a Yelp Elite Week perk. During the week, a classic Chai was the perk, iced or hot, and it was delicious. The space is bright, a bit small but endearing. A staff member answered all questions methodically. When it was our turn to order, it was.an iced Rose Chai and an Iced Dirty Chai. All drinks were made efficiently and with passion. In addition to their delicious beverages, there's Baklava and an assortment of sweets to accompany it. The discerning palate can quickly recognize these homemade Chai drinks sets itself apart in comparison to those pre made from a carton. Authentic and recommend!

Yelp
Best masala chai I've had in NYC (although I haven't tried any in queens yet!) love love love that they have 2% milk as an option and they make everything to-order I believe, so it's nice and hot! 10/10 no notes thank u Ruhani Haven't tried anything else on the menu the masala chai is too good to not get! Clean and a decent amount of seating too- pretty cozy!

Yelp
I am such a big fan of Ruhani! They make the chai fresh and it's always boiling hot, just the way I like it. The space is well lit and the staff are 100! It really is milky goodness and I'm not usually a chai fan but Ruhani is the best!

Yelp
This cafe makes superb, authentic chai. They make it on a stovetop in a pot which is the traditional way to make chai. I got the kesar chai which had a strong saffron flavor and wasn't overly sweet (got the lowest sugar option). My fiancée got the lavender latte and he said it was extremely smooth. Next time I come, I definitely want to try some of the desserts/pastries - they all looked extremely good.

Yelp
Ruhani Cafe specializes in chai. I am an absolute, unapologetic, self-declared chai snob. Ruhani is legit. Ruhani has the good stuff. Ruhani will greet your grandma with two hands and several bows of respect before offering her the lushest cushion and seat of honor. Ruhani is also gorgeous, a beautiful place to meet girlfriends, take pictures, and linger of your cups. It is a rare oasis third space in a city filled with souless chain coffee shops that preaches community yet enforces a bathroom code. We need more Ruhani Cafes in the world. The people who work here are delightful. They offered to make us a soda not listed on the menu which was refreshing and delicious. The chai was also incredible and I can't wait to try all the varieties. Wishing you continued success!

Yelp
Man I love a good Chai, but it is not easy to find one. One day while hanging out in the area I needed a place to get a cool drink and use a rest room and I happened upon Ruhani Cafe and boy, I am so glad I did! Walk in and the bright, modern decoration is very welcoming. But the most important thing is the SMELL. Chai scene wafts through the air and the gentle but forward spices are wonderful to breathe in and they are instantly comforting. The cafe has enough seats for about 20 people or so. The manager was super nice and we chatted a bit about the menu. She was more than happy to make recommendations an answer questions. I wound up having the Hibiscus Refresher on ice and it was delicious and yes, refreshing at the same time! Much to my delight, this cafe also carries pastries that include the famous "Hu(Bear) Financiers" from Colson's Bakery! If you've never had them, they are chewy on the inside, a bit crisp on the outside and absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed my visit to Ruhani and highly recommend it!

Yelp
I've never rushed so quickly to write a review. This spot has it all: (1) a variety of chais, all made to order so all can be ordered unsweetened -- this alone is a game-changer. (2) they use Battenkill Valley (dairy) milk -- that's the good one, folks! (3) they're open until 10pm -- night caffeine for all who want it! (4) they have plenty of seating, including a large outdoor patio in the back. The karak chai was superb; can't wait to try the others. Literally no notes!

Yelp
Staff were super friend and vibes quite cute! Definitely a great place to work at if you're nearby.

Yelp
Just down Fourth Avenue and Atlantic, this spot is very spacious and quiet, yet has a modern take on Indian chai. I tried the kasar chai and rose chai, both of which were delicious. I also sampled the baklava and rose trois lache; while they were sweet, they weren't overly sweet like other places, which I found to be a positive. The service was fast and efficient. I highly recommend skipping the nearby Dunkin' and Starbucks to try this place instead.

Yelp
The menu is has a variety of chai and pastries/snacks, like halal onigiri, you don't see at a typical cafe. The iced masala chai with oat milk and so was the small homemade baklava! The service is friendly and let me know you can adjust sugar, ice, and milk! I got half sugar and felt I would not mind trying full sugar next time, but of course the tea was delicious and I finished it all! There is also Wifi, outlets, indoor/outdoor seating, and a bathroom, which is great for anyone wanting to do some work! It's pretty peaceful inside with light music and other people's conversations.

Yelp
5/5! You must check out this spot if you're in the area!! The chai is spot on and their Parmesan pastry was top notch. The vibe is great and I really like that they're open till late! Great to have it in the neighborhood.

Yelp
This place is the real deal. Our host Shah makes an authentic chai that was so worth the wait. I don't recommend coming here if you wanna grab and go. This is a place to hang out like a Pasha!

Yelp
I was at this very recently opened chai spot (March 30th) earlier in the evening having passed by on the way home from a restaurant further down on Atlantic Ave. They were closing relatively soon so some of the pastries were not available (which wasn't necessary) and there was a handful of people here and a small number of tables. They specialize in chai but they also have a wide coffee menu as well as some interesting non chai/coffee drinks. The coffee menu is pretty standard while the chai menu consists of 5 different options for an 8 oz cup. The options include karak, masala, rose, kesar (saffron,) and doodh patti with the price ranging from $4.50 for the doodh patti to $6.50 for the kesar. There is also iced for a dollar extra which I presume is put in the larger coffee cups (as the cups for coffee go up to 16 oz.) The staff was friendly here and I asked for recommendations and after a short discussion, I went with the Karak Chai which was $5 plus tax so around $5.50 which was listed as a strong slow brewed milk tea with cardamom and cinnamon. They recommend one sugar which is my preference for chai anyway and it took around maybe 5-10 minutes or so to make. The other person working there said it was very hot which was expected so I waited a little while to drink. Karak means strong and by comparison to other chai I've had, the tea flavor was a bit stronger though it did have enough cardamom and cinnamon to balance out the strong tea. The milk (which they recommend regular or oat) was lighter than most chai and the sweetness was very light which was perfect for me. By comparison to other chai spots, I preferred the flavors here and I would go back for the saffron or rose next time I am in the area. It's definitely price here than the other chai in the area but I would more compare this to the specialty shops such as the Yemeni coffee houses and by comparison to them, the price is accurate. I hope they do well.

Yelp
Cute and cozy with plenty of seating. When I walked in a lot people were coworking. They offer coffee, chai, refreshers, and some small bites. My dad and I ordered a masala chai and a rose chai, respectively. They seemed a little frazzled with the number of orders coming in but they used spices in a pan to make chai and it felt authentic.

Yelp
It was a cute cafe that was cozy. We only got coffee, but the pastries looked delicious.

Yelp
The best chai latte you'll ever have! All the chai is made to order and it's very aromatic. My go to order is the masala chai, iced and dirty. The cafe is fairly new with lots of seating and places to work from! I go here 2-3x a week, haven't gotten myself to try anything new because I love what I get!

Tony P.

Yelp
Great little chai place! They make it fresh, and without premade mix, and to your sweetness level. They also have a nice selection of espresso drinks.

Beck Z.

Yelp
The karak chai was very flavorful and delicious. The service was quick, especially for a freshly made chai. The cafe was clean and beautifully decorated.

Yelp
They were so welcoming and helpful here. I had the matcha loaf and one of the specialty chais. Delicious.

Yelp
Some of the most authentic desi chai I've had in New York and they have a beautiful space in the back as well!!

Rashed A.

Yelp
Came here for the chai, stayed for the ambiance, music, decor, and especially the strawberry tres leches cake. MUST TRY. the owner Shahnoor was very kind and accommodating, he made me a custom mango and lychee mojito refresher. AMAZING.

Yelp
It's my first time coming and I am beyond impressed. Amazing pastries and staff. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Ruhani Cafe is hands-down one of the coziest and most inviting spots in Brooklyn. Tucked away with a beautiful, surprisingly spacious backyard, it's the perfect place to unwind. We hosted a game night out back and it felt like a slice of community heaven. The food and drinks? Impeccable. I had the homemade beef patty--warm, flaky, and full of flavor--and the rose lavender refresher, which was the perfect balance of floral and refreshing. My friend tried the rose milk latte and couldn't stop raving about it. All the desserts are freshly made, and you can truly taste the care and quality in each item. The pistachio chocolate baklava? Unreal. What makes this place even more special is the service. The staff is incredibly warm, attentive, and kind. You can tell they really care about creating a great experience for every guest. A special shoutout to Shah, the owner--you can feel his passion and heart in every corner of the cafe. He goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome, and it's clear he's building more than just a business--he's building community. If you're looking for a chill vibe, incredible bites, and even better people--Ruhani Cafe is it. Will definitely be back (again and again).

Yelp
Real chai, with real spices, in a real chai pan. Just the way my grandmother makes it at home. The best in BK

Yelp
This is such a great spot. They have so many chai options that make me feel like my mom made it--truly authentic chai. It's a great study spot with multiple outlets and late hours.

Bruce R.

Yelp
Chai done right! I've personally never seen a cafe prepare masala chai on the stovetop with whole spices--it makes the difference! The indoor & outdoor atmospheres are cozy, the pastries are good and there's solid wifi. Happy to support this new place run by nice people!
