Rührberger Hof

I stayed here from September 20 to 21 and paid €140 for a room. Sleeping was impossible: the hotel’s chef hosted a private party with a DJ on the ground floor. The bass was so loud that rest in my first-floor room was out of the question. I went downstairs twice to ask for the volume to be lowered. Each time, the music was briefly turned down only to be cranked back up within minutes. This shows complete disregard for paying guests. The most basic duty of any hotel is to provide a quiet environment. Here, that obligation was completely ignored. Would not recommend.

I was in Basel for one day and I wanted to get good value for my money. I decided to stay on the German side, and I absolutely can recommend this hotel. The rooms are big, spacious, minimalist design, family run business. The food and drinks were so good... Perfect value for your money, I can only recommend it (car is a must to get there, but parking is free and lots of it).

Did not sleep here just had dinner. Was invited for supper here up on the top of mountain looking onto Switzerland. Food: the food is tasty however the spaetzle was over cooked and mushy like. This was for both dishes. Schnitzel is made with good ingredients but lacks presentation. Salad: small portion for 8€( expensive) Prices: far too expensive for what you get. Bottle of water almost 7€!! Service: ok, but man what an unfriendly waitress ! Order white wine, got red instead. Took for ages to get the correct wine which was warm. When we commented on this was told the wine bucket with eventually cool it down. Hello why not ensure that it is kept cold before serving! Person just had an aloof and arrogant approach to the work at hand. Took for ages to get eventually get the bill. Fir such an establishment would expect service considering the prices , average of 32€ for a standard meal. Was very disappointed as i had expected better things from this place

We were here as a Restaurant visitor a group of 8 persons. The service is super nice and kind. The portion were big and it was a good quality. The invironment is super amazing with a lot of wood. The restaurant itself is super clean. Definitely come back and we say thank you for everything. See you soon

It's a very nice hotel, perfect for a family stay. The breakfast and cleanliness are meticulously maintained. The hotel is run by a husband and wife, and the staff is warm and friendly. You won't regret staying here. I want to thank them for their hospitality.

Great hotel, looks recently refurbished all décor is modern. Room was comfortable with air conditioning and a comfortable bed. Evening meal was excellent and the restaurant seems to be used by locals as it was quite full. Location is very quiet and away from the larger towns which is exactly what we were after.

Our family room was very good size, modern and very clean. Breakfast -great variety of food to choose from-everything fresh and delicious. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere.
