This little bar has such a vibe to it! Super cute on the inside and the drinks are phenomenal! The service was top tier our bartender made our experience even better! Definitely worth stopping in. We had about 7 drinks all together and the price wasn't terrible for the quality of the drinks

My partner and I had a great time here, the cocktails were delicious, the music was pretty good, the bartenders were amazing, the place was very nice we will definitely be back

Rum Sugar Lime is a fantastic cocktail bar in Reno that brings a bit of tropical flair to the city’s nightlife. OK. It's not a tiki bar, but their recipes are spot on. And the friendliness service outside of CA (thank you Eddie)!! Will tell all my rum/tiki friends this is a must in Reno.

One of my favorite places in Reno. Part of me doesn’t want to tell people because I want to still be able to find a seat but it’s too good not to share. When I was there last we spent an entire afternoon learning about rum from the amazing staff, figuring out what we liked while enjoying the vibes. Sharing some pics of what I learned I love. We liked it so much we had to return the next day. Do yourself a favor. This is a must stop while in Reno.

Went to enjoy some drinks during a short Reno visit. The bar stays pretty full even during late hours. The drinks are great and the hostess super friendly. Got good and prompt service. Was definitely surprise by the fact that they do not offer anything to eat but they do allow you to bring your own food. We ordered pizza from the nearby Pizzava which complimented our drinks nicely. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Decent spot to hang out. The patrons are a mix of social classes and a wide range of ages. There is no server so be prepared to fight for one. Once you get it, drinks are creative and tasty. Overall, not bad.

One of the best bars I visited while in Reno! The quality of the drinks and atmosphere is unmatched, and I'm glad I was there long enough to try two different seasonal menus. The bartenders were all extremely knowledgeable, pleasant, and had great input to suit your taste.

I absolutely love Rum Sugar Lime. The tropical yet chic decor goes perfectly with their craft cocktails and beautifully-designed menu. The bartenders are friendly, helpful, and talented. My hubby and I have visited a few times and enjoyed our experiences. They're a full bar but feature Tiki-style cocktails and have non-alcoholic beverages, too. What we've tried so far reminds me of a couple of bars I frequent in Sacramento - which I love as it's not an easy feat to find a bar with great-tasting cocktails made consistently.

Another quick visit to RSL to give the new menu a try! Gotta say, great job with this one y'all, this was a fun menu to explore. Ambiance is always nice here, but our favorite time is earlier on weekdays when it's light on crowds. Love enjoying this place quite just being able to BS with the bartenders who are truly great people. Even got to try something I haven't seen yet, Hampden The Younger. Gotta say this one was incredible, kinda upset that I can't find it anywhere.... Not sure how to live without it. Eddy Brian, you are the best...

My first time at Rum Sugar Lime and I loved it! The space is stunning! So much more than a bar and not what I expected when my friend said "let's grab a drink at a bar." We ended up sitting at one of their larger tables since it wasn't too busy. They just rolled out a new menu of specialty cocktails and I was tempted to try them all! The owner stopped by and said hi, and shared his favorites. I decided to go with the saturn and I absolutely loved it! I wanted to be more adventurous but I loved the saturn too much to not keep ordering it. I hope to come back next time I'm in Reno and try some more of their delicious cocktails!

This was my second time in this bar and I absolutely love it! Such a cute cocktail bar that is open late in Reno, yay! Inside is beautiful and feels like you're at a resort almost. We grabbed a table with lots of seats as we were a bigger group. The cocktails here are absolutely amazing. The bartenders are definitely mixologists and know what they're doing! Staff was also very friendly when we walked in, also a major plus! I was asked almost immediately upon walking in what I wanted to drink. All of the cocktails I've had here are amazing. I ordered the Estrella Batida. It tasted just like a bananas foster! SOOO dang good! Delicious and smooth. I could have probably drank five more of them haha. I also tried the High Seas and that was delicious, too. Literally all the drinks are five stars! Definitely won't be the last time I'm here. Next time I'm in Reno, I'll be coming back again!

This is my favorite bar in Reno. I think it's because of the decor! They have great drinks too but it's something about how pretty this space is.

Decent cocktails, service was easy as I wasn't there during busy hours, and ambiance is super nice. Found it interesting the sinks to the bathroom are outside the bathroom but hey, it works.

Hands down my new favorite bar in Reno! I cannot believe I have gone so long without knowing about this place. This bar has such a welcoming vibe with the friendliest bartenders! They provide a variety of tropical "tiki" flared drinks, and the best part, the menu changes every 6 months so there will always be something new to try! Between my husband and I, we have tried almost every drink on the current menu and we love them all! I would say my favorite is probably the painkiller, it is perfection. If you are looking for tiki inspired fruity cocktails this is the place for you. Cannot recommend enough, 10 out of 10 experience, guaranteed a fun time.

Legit tiki bar with elevated vibe. Street parking is easy. Staff is very skilled and friendly. Drinks we ordered tonight were some of the best tiki cocktails I've ever had. Well balanced, classic and/or unique but in that style. We ordered a painkiller, rumellow, perelixir, and butterboy. I observed every drink being made with care, skill, and style for the hour and a half we were there. There is no food here. Be prepared. The drinks and staff are excellent. We'll be back.

Don't waste your time at Pele Utu.... THIS place is where it's at for amazing tropical drinks! The place is beautiful and modern, cool vibe. The bartenders and staff are super attentive and great at making sure everyone is getting their drinks. They were on top of it! We ordered the Roosevelt, Estrella Batida, Mai Tai and Saturn. They were ALL so good and on point and they did NOT skimp on the alcohol but also not overpowering. So well balanced! We will definitely be back!

Rum Sugar Lime is one of my favorite bars in Reno. The interior is beautiful, and the laid-back vibe makes it perfect for a night with friends or a date. I especially love the hot buttered rum in the winter, and the tiki-style cocktails are delicious and easy to sip year-round. The bartenders are friendly, the service is good, and it's just as great for happy hour as it is for spending the whole night.

Absolutely love RSL. It is an amazing cornerstone of Midtown cocktail culture and I love the ambiance, vibe, and people that work and frequent this bar. The bartenders are always extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. They love what they produce and the drinks are always tasty. Their NA menu is always great as well and I love that they put emphasis on NA mocktails options. I enjoy the rotating menu and coming by at least once a season to try whatever new item they are featuring!

This is a cool bar in Midtown Reno. They have a specialty cocktail menu that rotates and a full bar for pretty much anything you want. I'm honestly more of a wine drinker so the sweet fruity cocktails are not really my thing personally. But if that's what you want then this is the place for you! The bartenders were super friendly and the service was great! Edit to respond to owner's question: Larry, thanks for reaching out! It honestly comes down to personal preference for me. I'm not really a fan of sweet drinks so the menu selections didn't really speak to me. Gin is my preferred spirit and the drink featuring it was pretty sweet according to the bartender. I know I could have ordered something else from the bar, but it was a little busy and I didn't want to be that customer that couldn't make up their mind, so I just ordered the rose. And the canned wines aren't really my thing, either But it was still overall a great experience and I will definitely be back. Just more prepared to order next time!! You guys are great--keep doing what you do!

Rum Sugar Lime- you have my heart! Pleasantly surprised to discover such an upscale, tiki-inspired bar in Reno. Their menu features classic tiki drinks such as the Mai Tai and Daiquiri, as well as their own innovative spins on the perfect tropical cocktail, which I discovered was the Saturn although we loved all the drinks that we tried). The bartenders were all so friendly, quick and efficient with crafting cocktails, and despite a full house, we never waited more than 5 minutes to receive our order. Highly recommend checking them out for their beautifully and masterfully crafted cocktails if you're in the Midtown Reno area!

Stepping into RSL in Midtown feels like stumbling into a stylish tropical hideaway with sleek mid-century touches and a warm glow. The polished tiki details give it a chic island-meets-modern vibe. Seasonal cocktail menus are nothing new, but RSL manages to keep it fresh every time. Their creative flair and bold ingredient combos consistently come together in some of the best cocktails I've had. Every time I've visited, the bartenders have been incredibly friendly and attentive. That said, I've only been during quieter hours, so I can't speak to how the service holds up when it's packed.

A really nice vibe. Can be intimate, just don't sit at the bar. They have great pizza next door that you can bring in. The drinks are price, but good. Overall a nice place to drink and hang out. Always a stop when coming to Reno.

Rum Sugar Lime in Reno has a really cool vibe. The whole place is comfy and relaxed, with some chill jazz music playing in the background. The bartender, Andy, was awesome! Super friendly and helpful. He even whipped up a special drink for me that was totally delicious, exactly what I was craving. The drinks themselves were pretty good. I tried the Dark Horse, a tequila drink, which was tasty, but the bitters were a little strong, kind of masked the other flavors. But my wife got the Saturn, and I (not being a huge gin fan) subbed vodka in it, and it was really smooth. Definitely would recommend that one!

Mere worlds cannot truly describe RSL The drinks are amazing, Malstrom, Old Fashion, Saturn and more are beautifully crafted. The bartenders bring a very welcoming atmosphere to the bar. Andy, Andy and Eddy do a fantastic job.

Went to Rum Sugar Lime for my brother's 21st bday and we had a very enjoyable time. Bartenders were on top of their game and really attentive. Shocked that we hadn't come here sooner since we love tiki drinks. The bar itself was very nicely designed and comfortable. The biggest thing tho is that we didn't have one bad drink. From call of Cthulhu(my favorite) to the Roosevelt, every drink was a hit. We'll definitely be back!

We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for a cocktail and loved the ambiance. It's just tropical enough without being overdone. It was pretty busy, but the bartender was keeping up, creating magnificent cocktails with nice touches like freshly grated nutmeg.

I really enjoy RSL! It is one of my favorite bars in Reno for sure. The lighting is nice, the bar and seating areas are clean, and the drinks are delicious. It is a cute spot for a date night. The prices range from $12-$16 dollars a drink, which I would say is on the higher side, but it is nice to splurge once in a while. The price is worth it in my opinion! My boyfriend, on the other hand, thinks it is a bit expensive, and the setting is more of a "girl bar." The service is good, but there are definitely busy times where the bar is full, and you'll have to wait to order.

What a fun bar in Midtown Reno! It only took us a few minutes to get a table once we got inside. The drinks were magical! It was hard to decide which drink to try, but the ones we did try were delicious and STRONG! I'm already looking forward to coming back again so I can try a different drink!

rum sugar lime is such a vibe! the ambience was amazing -- cozy, stylish, and perfect for date nights or just hanging out with friends. the drinks were not only beautifully crafted but also really good. highly recommend the pandan daiquiri -- it was delicious and definitely a must-try! can't wait to come back and try more from the menu.

RSL is amazing! My sister in law recommended that my wife & I try it on our next date night, so we did. AMBIANCE Upon entering, you are greeted by a beautiful, partially open ceiling patio with outdoor seating for warmer nights. Further in, there's dim lighting that is easy on the eyes with Bar seating located to the right with warm back lit shelving. I tend to like dimly lit bars over brightly lit ones, so this was nice. SERVICE The bartender was amazing. Immediately after sitting down, we were greeted, given the menu & within 2-3 minutes, the bartender took our order & had it back to us in minutes. There was an event happening downtown & when we asked the bartender what it was he shared the event info, it's a pleasant touch to have local bars that have a tap on local events like this to help share our Reno experience with guests/tourists. DRINKS The drinks themselves were just as great as their service. The "painkiller" felt balanced in terms of the coconut crème & rum. The pricing I felt was extremely fair as well for the experience & atmosphere alone. We will definitely be back & if you're looking for a bar for your next night out, Rum Sugar Lime is it!

Fun specialty cocktail spot in midtown Reno! Good vibes and good cocktails! They even have some non-alcoholic cocktails. The bartenders are awesome and fun to chat with. Definitely a fun spot to bring someone new or out of town visiting to!

We really enjoy this place the ambiance is moody. Candlelit with fun music. Feels classy. The drinks taste like high quality. So it is a little pricy $15/cocktail but you're getting a nice product. The bartenders are nice and welcoming focusing on giving you a drink that will serve your tastes.

This was my first time here and I was completely blown away with the service as well as the drink presentation! It is definitely a hidden gem in Reno. If you are looking for a nice little spot to just have a relaxing environment with a delicious drink. This is the place for you !

Very fun environment. I love that all the staff were a type of button up, patterned shirt. They have a wide variety of alcohol, but obviously specialize in rum drinks. Unfortunately for me, rum causes extreme hangovers so I tried to look outside of their cocktail menu. Definitely a fun spot for a weekend evening.

RSL FTW all the time. I don't get here often (young kids) but when I do get out it's always top of mind AND it's a bar that's always on the top of my mind and on the tip of my tongue when telling others where they need to check out. On a rare date night in Midtown I FINALLY got to visit again, and the whole experience was top notch from start to finish. For one, at the times I visit, the vibe is chill and low key, which means you can chat with the bartenders, and learn about the cocktails and the spirits, which to me adds up to a top notch bar experience. I enjoy a lot of their continuous offerings like the classic daiquiri and the Black Pool's Revenge (typically a special but always available), but I love seeing what they come up with for their seasonal specialties, and that's where I spent my time this visit. The bartender was super conversational, happy to indulge the questions and chat about the menu. Loved every minute. We started with the Copper Iris and the Ukhu Pacha, followed by the Honeybake. The Copper Iris was reminiscent of a Sazerac. The absinthe spritz was super prominent, but when it faded I felt the cocktail came to life and I was loving the notes of white pepper and toasted fennel from the amaro and cognac. The Ukhu wasn't my speed, but my wife loved it. The Honeybake was ordered out of intrigue because I love the pechuga process of distillation and the country ham used in making this brandy had my attention. All around a good cocktail. Light and refreshing with a bit more complexity from the brandy. I'd love to try the components separately to really understand how the flavors were built. I love this bar and you will too. GO!

Awesome cocktail bar. Expert and craft cocktails. Such a unique flavor and made from scratch. Great ambiance. In the winter get the butter rum. But be careful. When you were getting a nice drink and trying to warm up, these really sneak up on you. In the summer time, I go for the painkiller. It's on the sweet side and usually I don't go for this type of drink. But it's like a super piña colada.

Drinks: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 This is a modern take on a traditional tiki bar experience. The drinks were solid and well priced (around $14/each). The bartenders were nice. We went on a Tuesday evening, and it was a nice visit. I'll definitely come back by next time I'm in Reno.

Rum Sugar Lime is an Uber-cool bar that specializes in their version of classic island inspired cocktails as well as seasonal selections. I decided on the Mai Tai, which the bartender warned was a bit strong. I found it to have just the right amount of bite without all the sugary sweetness that you'd encounter in most bars. Others in the group choose Daiquiris and RSL's version of the classic Dark & Stormy, the Maelstrom. They do offer a full bar and one friend decided on a Martini which was served in a rather petite martini glass that was overshadowed by two skewered olives. Everyone in the group was pleased and enjoying their choices. The body of the bar is quite dark and mysterious, perfect for a romantic interlude with someone special. This darkness is offset by the dramatic and dreamy brilliance of the bar itself. Stunning! RSL does not provide table service, so drinks are ordered and tabs settled at the bar.They don't serve food, however you can order bar nibbles such as olives and mixed nuts. Put Rum Sugar Lime on your list, it's not just a bar, it's an experience.

It was my very first time into Rum Sugar Lime. My daughter asked me to experience this upscale bar. The Bartender welcomed me in and handed me a menu. A warm inviting atmosphere, dimly lit at night, lots of palms, plants and art. Jazzy eclectic music. Beautiful drinks made with care and taste. A very nice place. Try a Saturn drink. A work of Art! I liked this cocktail bar, it's the closest you'll get to a tiki bar in Reno. They had quite a few different drinks on the menu. The mango was very tasty and the lychee gin was great as well. It's a good stop!

Was this place, the drinks, and the service great you bet your bottom dollar. We stumbled upon this place after dinner and it was the perfect end to our day. The inside decor and overall ambiance of the place was welcoming and inviting to both large and small groups. The drinks were affordable and the bartenders were a freakin good time. Before we left we made sure to have a final round of shots and a time was had. Next Reno trip this place is a must stop

Rum Sugar Lime is a beautiful cocktail bar in Midtown. During the day its a quiet space to stop for a yummy drink. Saturday night = Date night Lots of fun people enjoying the specialty drinks. My favorite is the Painkiller. Great place for groups, 6 person high tops. A few outside tables for people watching. Music was a bit loud on Saturday night so hard to have conversations. Full bar available with their speciality drinks plus seasonal options.

Great spot and addition to Reno as a whole. The place has super creative and delicious cocktails which look EXACTLY like the pictures. On top of that the ambiance is super cool and vibey. I didn't get their names but the two gentlemen with tattoos, who were working on Wednesday 6/5, were awesome. Super nice and made our experience much better. Highly recommend when in midtown.

Bakchata (14). A very smooth combo of aged rum and rice milk, it drinks with a hint of pistachio and chocolate! Solid. The surroundings are elegant, soundtrack is smooth like the drinks. Parking looks like it's mostly street only.

I was really impressed when I walked into Rum Sugar Lime. The decor is gorgeous. It's feels homey, elegant, and island inspired all at the same time. Our bartender, Chase, was very friendly. He explained the menu and gave us suggestions on what to order. I ended up ordering the Saturn and my friend got the Día Sueño. The Saturn was a bit sweet for my taste but it was nice and easy to drink once the ice melted a bit. I would recommend ordering it on a hot summer day. My friend's drink, the Día Sueño, was incredible. The tamarind infused mezcal was to die for. The flavors were perfectly balanced and it was just delicious. The only reason I give this 4 stars is because, though the drinks are delicious, my friend and I didn't feel buzzed at all after drinking them. I usually only get one drink when I'm out because I am sensitive to alcohol. They seemed really light on the alcohol which was a little disappointing after spending $14 (with tax) per drink. Next time, I'll try ordering a different drink and see if that changes things.

Rum Sugar Lime is one of my husband's and i's favorite places to get a cocktail. The beachy theme speaks to us. In addition, it doesn't matter what you order, you are going to receive an amazing cocktail. The bartenders at Rum Sugar Lime always do it right. The drink menus rotate, but that makes for new creative and seasonal drinks. I highly recommend trying a drink you have never had before, it may become your new favorite! The atmosphere and ambiance are perfect for an intimate night, an outing with friends, and a quick happy hour cocktail. Located on Virginia street, in midtown, there are some street parking spots out front, but depending on the day and time, you make have to park farther and walk. Located right next door to Pizzava and Wonder Ale Works.

Delicious cocktails. Love their changing menu as well. The service is good but as any busy bar, you could be waiting for a little. The ambiance is so fun and it's a great spot for a girls night.

Always a good vibe here. The drinks are definitely tiki themed and sweet, but they to have options for everyone and very knowledgeable staff. I've always enjoyed they'd specials and my friends enjoy the painkiller. The space has comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. A great midtown stop! Always appreciate Andy D.'s excellent service

If you looking for a fancy style bar that has very delicious drinks and cocktails no matter what you order, RSL is the place. Nice atmosphere with nice music, I would say it's the prefect spot for a date. Very friendly stuff who will help you get the perfect cocktail even if it's not in the menu, they will make one for you that you will like 100%. I would say tho it's a bit pricy. However, I personally wouldn't mind one or two drinks there.
