We had dinner at Rum Thai for the first time and were impressed. They were very busy (including a team party) but they service was still remarkable. The food came out steaming hot and was incredible. It is our new go to Thai restaurant.

After a long day, we were pretty hungry and didn’t have time to cook dinner. My bf and I found this hidden gem tucked away in a plaza. They sat us down right away and took our orders. Their menu was legit! It was hard to decide so we ended up going with both Teas (Green & Jasmine), Potstickers, Crab Ragoons, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Pra Ram. I was super impressed. The flavors were really authentic! Brings me back to those night market stalls in Thailand. There’s hardly any places out there that really focuses on those extra little efforts of making their own sauces and pastes. They even go with fresh pineapples instead of canned. I can go on forever about the food and its flavors! Tip: If you love chicken satay, you’d love their Pra Ram! Overall, the entire experience was wonderful! Service was amazing. Would come back and try their Tom Yum Noodles next! There’s hardly any local spots with this dish. The last place I had it was in Thai Town LA. Highly recommend this spot!

Google
Great Thai food! Fast service and a big menu. Plenty of choices for vegetarian or vegan diet. They have 4 levels of heat to choose from. The egg rolls are very crunchy but a little bland. Pad Thai was very good with nice tang and chew. I like that they didn't use too much peanuts. Green curry was excellent and they offer white or brown rice. Small place but wasn't an issue as they weren't too busy.

I do not recommend this restaurant, and here is why. I used to love this place but the last two times we ordered here, the food was lacking flavor in every dish. Today was no exception. It almost felt like they are watering down all their sauces and broths. The first time I convinced my bf that it was a fluke, but today we ordered wonton soup, veggie delight with pork, chicken pad Thai, papaya salad, and mango curry. - Papaya salad was just sour. All we tasted was rice vinegar. No other flavor. And had just two lonely shrimp on top. - Wonton soup: broth needed salt and tasted watered down - veggie delight with pork: pork was VERY dry, flavorless, and the veggies did not taste like a stir fry but more like boiled. It was very bland. VERY bland. Oh and it all was floating in the veggie juices or broth? I’m not sure. - chicken pad Thai tasted very very mild on the typical pad Thai flavor. And I LOVE pad Thai. It Tasted almost like regular tomato sauce. Noodles were overcooked and mushy. The lime wedge was already squeezed out and just placed in the corner. - mango curry was not full of flavor as it should have been. Also was very bland. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. The entire meal was $110 but definitely was not worth it. I doubt we will ever be brave enough to go risk it again and pay that kind of money to eat there. I was truly bummed because I was really craving Thai food and convinced my bf to give that place another try.

Google
Very nice place, pretty, kind staff, and good food. They bring a small salad to start, and then at the end gave us a coconut milk green tapioca as well as a mint with the check. Prices are really fair and good. Like $8 for lunch. Thank you great hospitality. Love the pictures on the wall with just a border not framed, very unique and amazing idea!

Had a great meal at Ruk Thai Restaurant! The food was flavorful and authentic. . Staff were friendly and service was fast. Cozy place with a nice atmosphere. Will definitely come back!

Google
Their food was delicious with an appropriate amount of meat (chicken, shrimp) for each entrée ordered. Arguably the best yellow curry I've had among 5 other Thai restaurants in the general Sacramento area and I'm glad I over-ordered a little so I had left overs for lunch the next day. I didn't have a server come check in after bringing out the food though, so we never got our drinks. They were also handing me the check before I got a chance to order dessert. So I would expect to have some little issues like this from what seems to be a family run restaurant running without additional help from dedicated servers. The food and cleanliness the tables still made it worth it and we'll likely come back.

Google
We've been here a few times to pick up food but never actually dined in. Every time we have ordered it was very good and consistent. The portions are very generous with the key ingredients as well if you know what I mean. When we dined in the food was just as good and the service was great! We appreciate you Rum Thai Bistro.

Yelp
Absolute favorite Thai spot! I just moved to the area from the Bay and thought I'd only have chain food spots to pick from. Boy was I wrong. So many fantastic ma and pa spots in Lincoln, Rocklin, Roseville. Rum Thai wins Best Thai food from us! I've ordered here over 10x now and they never miss. The fried rice is my favorite and I have dietary restrictions which they always accommodate (sensitive tummy!). Each dish is made with love and it tastes like it. My husband loves their Thai basil stir fry, panang curry, and yellow curry. Their food is so fresh and never greasy/oily so it never leaves you feeling icky. Thank you for existing out here Rum Thai!

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch and the place was nearly empty except for one other patron. I wondered if the notification on the front door that the credit card machine wasn't working turned folks away, especially with a number of alternate restaurants right there. Service was good and after perusing the lunch menu I selected the Pad Eggplant with my elective choice of tofu. I also got a Thai Iced Tea. The Pad Eggplant was delicious and all of the ingredients fresh and perfectly prepared. It was a hearty lunch with a good sized portion. The Thai Iced Tea was as one would expect and quite refreshing. We got a tasty small salad for a starter and a small cup dessert, both included in the price, and very satisfying I do like this place and the food is good. Often I get takeout but occasionally eating in is pleasant too.

Yelp
Food was fantastic. Mango Pumpkin Curry was really yum. Service was quick and friendly. Could not ask for anything more.

Yelp
I enjoyed a lunch special of green curry and was pleasantly surprised it included a green salad and tapioca pudding dessert all for less than $13. The curry was delicious and included jasmine rice. What a find! I will definitely return here very soon.

Yelp
Omg this place is amazing !! If I could give it 10 stars I would ! This is a small family owned Thai restaurant in lincoln CA. It's a husband and wife that owned restaurant they take an hour break everyday from 3-4 pm right before the dinner rush . You could tell they take pride in their food and their establishment. Walking in everything is very clean and organized. They have excellent service . They are very friendly and attentive. For food, I love everything on the menu. If you come you have to try the pineapple rice It's delicious. Everything just taste so fresh. I have a shellfish allergy and they always help me with my order so that I do not get an allergic reaction. I barely go to any place that serves oyster sauce, but I will definitely come here because they take care of me. They make sure that there is no shellfish on my plate and I really appreciate that. Overall, I highly recommend this Thai restaurant. It's very delicious. You will get top-notch service. You will not regret coming here. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Really good Thai food, totally worth the drive to Lincoln. The pad Thai was very flavorful as we're the fresh rolls and peanut sauce. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
I always enjoy their green curry. They are great for take out or done in. I love their lunch deal. Definitelty recommend!

Yelp
I was feeling under the weather and craving wonton soup. My regular place was closed so I ordered to go from Rum Thai. It warmed my soul, soothed my throat and quickly became my favorite wonton soup in our area. The wontons are homemade with sausage. They add more vegetables than most which I loved. It is a large portion that lasted two meals. I added chili oil to spice it up! I can't wait to order it again!

Yelp
Hurray for $10.95 Weekday Lunch Specials from 11 AM to 3 PM! Salad, entree, white rice, and dessert. Not the largest quantity of food, but I think it is a health-conscious portion. I was told that the To Go menu prices would be going up soon. Salad was lettuce and shredded carrot with a sweet peanut-based dressing. Green Curry Beef was my entree. It had a good amount of beef and a variety of vegetables: green beans, eggplant, bamboo shoots, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper. I liked the plating. For $1, you can upgrade to brown rice, which appears to be a multigrain mix in another reviewer's photo. Shrimp costs an extra $2. Dessert was a small scoop of colorful Thai Tapioca, which is green tapioca, coconut milk, and corn. I like getting free Asian desserts with a meal. Thai Tapioca is available on the dessert menu on weekdays primarily. These are dishes I'd be interested in trying in the future: - Red Curry - Boat Noodle Soup - Silver Glass Noodle Soup - Silver Noodle Salad - Pad Eggplant (Pad Ma Keur) - Thai Basil (Pad Kra Pao) - Sweet and Sour (Pad Priew Warn) - Pad Woon Sen (stir-fried silver noodles, eggs, veggies, and protein choice) Warm and inviting restaurant with beautiful gold and red paintings of Thai dancers. Thanks for the recommendation, Lincoln Yelp Elites Tom B. and Aly A.

Yelp
Went to try this place and was very happy we did. The food was excellent! We had the Crab Fried rice, Pad Thai, and the Panang Curry. They were all delicious. The service from the wait staff was great. They regularly checked on us. I love spicy food so I had the choose #4 from their spice level and #4 being the spiciest. The ambiance was really nice and casual. Definitely recommend and will be coming back. A+

Yelp
Very nice quiet place in a nice area. Servers are very attentive to the guests, often asking if you need anything. I got the fish cakes appetizer with a Thai Iced Tea and Yellow Curry (with shrimp). Fish cakes were not quite what I was expecting, but they were still very good. Flavorful, the sauce they come with is a huge kicker for them! Thai iced tea was also very good. The Yellow Curry! Amazing, when it first came I was a little skeptical, as it looked like a tiny bowl; but it ended up being plenty to eat. Very flavorful, delicious, with some decent sized shrimp in there. The complimentary dessert, honestly I'm not sure what it was, looked and tasted like a thin yogurt with guava boba in it... while it WASNT bad, I, myself was not a fan.

Yelp
Excellent food!! So flavorful. The staff is so sweet & accommodating too. 10/10! Highly recommend the crab wontons.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for the first and definitely not the last time tonight. We were on our way to Hard Rock Casino to see a show, and I wanted to dine outside of the smoky casino, so we stopped here due to the great reviews we saw (Thank you, my fellow Yelper family!) It's a cozy, nicely decorated restaurant and the minute you get inside, you know you are going to enjoy the experience, just from smelling the beautiful waft of aromas greeting you here. The service was fantastic and swift, and the food...OMG, the food was top notch! Every dish we had was the perfectly executed version of each Thai dish we've had elsewhere and the shrimp in each dish were huge, succulent and the entrees had so much flavor! We highly recommend this establishment and the stir fry eggplant with "grandmother's sauce" was out of sight! (Grandmother knows her sauce!) We will definitely be back!! A fantastic meal!! Please give them a try, you will no doubt love it!

Yelp
It is located in the Raley's shopping plaza. We came here for lunch and the restaurant was mostly empty. The service was pretty fast. We started with the chicken larb salad. It was refreshing, but I'm used to it usually being spicy. We also ordered the pad woon sen (noodles) for the kids. I didn't try it, but it had more vegetables than noodles in it. Lastly, we had the basil fried rice with pork. It was good overall, but could've used more flavor. We left full.

Yelp
Rum Thai Bistro has the absolute best Pad Thai Tofu that I have ever eaten! I have not found any other restaurant that comes close to the deliciousness of their Pad Thai. I order spicy level 1, which for me is perfect. And the portion size is generous. The staff are always kind and personable and their service is excellent.

Yelp
They are amazing great staff wording online is super easy and times are very close to when your food is ready service is fast food is amazing the decor is nice

Yelp
This is one of the hidden gems in Lincoln as it really is hidden behind the pillars in front of the restaurant. San & Mali make you feel as if you are part of their family, they are the owners, and the head chef Nick, Mali's brother, is an awesome Thai chef. All their foods are tasteful and made to your liking. My wife like her walnut chicken mild and I prefer my Thai Basil either medium heat or Thai hot. Depending on my mood. Mali makes the potstickers so I know they are fresh and handmade. Very good. I haven't had a bad experience in this restaurant in all the years I've been coming since they first took ownership from Uncle Pon. They also serve beer and wine as well as soft drinks and hot teas, Thai teas and Thai iced coffee and hot coffee. You can't go wrong here.

Yelp
Still great after all these years! Still love the Boat Noodle Soup, they still make it as spicy as I like (level 10 or more). Everything else on the menu that we love is very consistent in flavor. Service is always attentive and thorough. Atmosphere is welcoming and properly lit. Still no complaints, see you soon!

Michael ..

Yelp
Had the Cashew chicken and Chicken fried rice. Amazing flavor in both dishes. First time coming here. Always see lots of take out when at the gym next door so figured I gotta try it. Definitely did not regret it.

Brian D.

Yelp
I love their silver glass noodle soup. Its so good. It is mostly what I order. Others in my family have tried many of the other dishes and report that they are also excellent. The service is good and the female waitress is pleasant and has a good sense of humor. We are always pleased when she waits on us. Lunch is always quickly served, allowing you time to enjoy your meal and make it back to work on time. I believe that this is a family run restaurant. The interior is pleasantly decorated and comfortable making us feel instantly at ease. The staff is always un-pretentious, professional and helpful. I highly recommend them for both dinner and lunch.

Yelp
Ordered takeout. Their pumpkin curry was delicious. It comes with both chicken and shrimp. Will be trying more dishes.

Yelp
This review is for in-person dining/food. We have ordered their food to go (Doordash) about 3-4 times and loved it! Everything was cooked well, packaged well and taste amazing. We were in the area and haven't had Rum thai Bistro in awhile so we used the opportunity to try Rum Thai Bistro in person. Got seated, service was ok. We ordered and food came out quickly. Once the food started to come out, we knew something was different. All the food was overly sauced and extremely sweet. The pad Thai was swimming in the sauce which it shouldn't be. We tried to drain off as much of the sauce but it was just drenched. The papaya salad was more sour than anything, we tried to add spice to give it more flavor but it didn't really help. The garlic eggplant and chicken was probably the only thing that was decent because we had a side of steam rice to absorb some of the saltiness. Super disappointed. I'm nervous to order to go if this is something that just changed with the restaurant or if to go is the way to go??? Not sure but overall, pretty bummed.

Yelp
10/10 !!! I should preface by saying that I am biased because I'm friends with the family. That said, I'm so impressed with both Mali & Narong who continue the traditional Thai cuisine they learned from their Mother Ann who moved to America in the 90's rffrom a small farming village in Northern Thailand called Uttraladitte (sp.) so that Mali & Nick could have a better life. Mali has a contagious smile and endless energy & Nick (Narong) works equally as hard in the back making it all happen. Both were born in Thailand & both have embraced the American dream of owning a business. Mali & Nick have a true love for food even growing the peppers and herbs in their own private garden I personally like Mali's won ton soup. She makes the dumplings by hand the old school way which is slow but better !! And "Nick's salad" Nom Tok which isn't on the menu you have to ask for it. Love, Bill

Yelp
My boyfriend and I usually go to Orchid Thai over on Twelve Bridges but we decided we wanted to try a new place. To be honest, I like this place even more. The servers were great and friendly. Food came really fast too. We had the pot stickers, chicken satay, beef and chicken pad Thai, and Thai fried rice with chicken. Everything was so delicious and the portions were pretty big. We left very full. Personally I wanted to try some of their desserts but we were both so full. We will have to try them next time. The ambiance was nice and very relaxed. Perfect setting for a date, or a nice dinner with the family/friends. I cannot wait to come back.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Food quality is just outstanding. Extremely conscientious wait staff. Every time. Scale of 1-4 on hot. I love hot food but have only gone 3. It's plenty. My wife who doesn't do hot food does 2. There is a jump in heat from 2 to 3. Pad Thai, Cashew, sweet and sour all excellent. Price reasonable. Haven't had soup yet. Will next time. Please try. Try level 2 unless you love hot. It's just good.

Kathleen M.

Yelp
Menus... several dishes to choose from Service .... very friendly Atmosphere... very nice and clean We went for lunch; will go back!

Yelp
Great food! Great service! The green curry is the best in town. The people are always super helpful and very nice. The ambiance is casual, very clean and inviting. I recommend if you love spicy be sure to ask to make it Thai Hot, and if you love authentic flavors the papaya salad is not for you.
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
Wonderful food excellent service, my favorite dish had to be the crab fried rice. Also has gluten free options. Beautiful establishment.
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
Great food and service! Hot, fresh., and delicious. I went withmy son and a friend who lived in Thailand. He likes the food Thai-style which means very hot and spicy. They fixed it just the way he likes. I like their flexibility on the heat scale. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Shanae M.

Yelp
This place was really cute & intimate. Small inside however you can tell lots of the locals come there for a good bite to eat. Lots of pick up orders and we clearly made it before the rush. The food was very fulfilling and lots of flavor. We ordered the green curry, a few appetizers, and the pad Thai. Our table was very happy. We will be back.
google avatar

Wayne S.

Yelp
Picked up dinner from Rum Thai tonight. Not a big curry fan but the Yellow chicken curry was delicious. We started with pot stickers which were steamed and also cooked perfectly. Pad Thai and pork stir fry were both flavorful. Both dishes had enough that we definitely have lunch tomorrow and maybe one more day. Definitely will be trying more dishes on our next visit.

Mona J.

Yelp
Small portion and not very friendly service Not good for a large group either. Salad was good. Spice level 2 was too hot
google avatar

Yelp
authentic taste food was delicious and fresh. The restaurant was very clean and looks amazing best tho restaurant in the Valley.

Yelp
This place is the best of the best I've been coming here for the past seven years and I have never left a review until now The food has always been extremely consistent and full of flavor I am never disappointed when I come here to get the stirfry otherwise known as Pad Woon Sen Every time I come back to Sacramento I always make it a point to drive here to have my favorite food

Tiff C.

Yelp
Food is good but when you order a side of rice, you expect to get enough rice to have a meal. Not an amount that's enough for a toddler. Pretty bad when you have to cook your own rice to eat your meal
google avatar

Mary S.

Yelp
I usually go to a spot in downtown Sacramento but I am in Lincoln and found this location. The service was fantastic and the waitress was so sweet! She took time to explain items on the menu. The crab cream cheese Rangoon was excellent and the pad Thai was perfect. Be careful if you don't like spicy. I like spicy and level 1 was enough! If you're close by, give this a try!
google avatar

Muang S.

Yelp
Travelled all over Thailand, this is still hands down, the best Shrimp Pad Thai (my usual, but chicken is pictured). The sauce is so flavorful, with the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Not too salty or sweet. Noodles are perfectly soft and chewy. I can never get over this hidden gem of a place.

Kyung C.

Yelp
I honestly use Yelp to find new places and never really leave reviews, but I felt that this place warranted a review. I came here with a friend and we ordered the Pad Thai, eggplant, yellow curry, and shrimp roll. All were pretty fantastic, even though I normally don't like eggplant and shrimp. Better than a lot of places I had in Sacramento. Service was great and they were very attentive, offering more water when they noticed I started to cough a little from scarfing down the food haha. If you are ever in the area and you're craving some Thai food, make sure to check the place out!
google avatar

Nat W.

Yelp
So this place is 3.5 for me but rounding up to 4. I have had plenty of authentic Thai in my life so their food was okay...decent. Not bad but they didn't really impress me. Reasonable lunch price tho. Their Pat Thai is definitely Americanized and more of ketchup based. Eggrolls were again okay, and red curry was also okay. (Lots of veggies and the texture was more watery than I am used to). The service was very fast and the establishment was clean.
google avatar

Joanna W.

Yelp
Best Thai I ever had, because it's fresh and healthy. It's always very reliable. Service is amazing too, they are very easy to communicate with and their website is very easy to use. I either order online or go there to eat. Either way, it's great! Inside is a cute small place with clean surroundings. Thank you thank you for being in Lincoln!
google avatar

Liz F.

Yelp
The food was super good and fresh!! I've had a hard time finding good Thai food in the area-- this will be a staple!
google avatar

J And C.

Yelp
This place is one of my top favorite Thai places in the region. Everything is fresh. They hand make every dumpling and wonton. One of the few places you can get chicken wonton instead of pork, and they're so flavorful and delicious! The chicken and shrimp wonton soup is a pleaser. I love that they give three shrimp rolls. Everything I've tried here has been satisfying.
google avatar

Judee-Anne C.

Yelp
It's a close call, but I think it's the best Thai food between Lincoln, Rocklin, and Roseville. So far we've ordered the Thai basil fried rice combo, pad prik, Thai tea, pad see ew, drunken noodles, beef Thai salad, and silver glass noodle soup. YUM! the Thai Beef salad medium hot was soooo good, fresh produce and yummy thin sliced beef. I've tried them all and I think this one is the best. The silver glass noodle soup was perfect for when I wanted something light, warm, and extra tasty.

Nicole L.

Yelp
Food was great! One dish the chef thought might have been too spicy- he sent the waitress to notify us. Staff were friendly and very attentive!

Nichole H.

Yelp
Food is always so good and the service is great! I order take out every two weeks. We love the Thai fried rice, that's always are go to.
google avatar

Garrik K.

Yelp
Rum Thai bistro deserves all its stars and rave reviews. Coming from Los Angeles, I may be spoiled by the many Thai dining options, but let me tell you, Rum Thai is among the best. I had the Red Curry and rice. So simple, so delicious.
google avatar

Sam K.

Yelp
Good food and conveniently located in Lincoln. They do take out too. Food is consistently good with strong flavors. Portions are modest but not bad. Staff is friendly and polite. I like supporting local businesses and this one qualifies so I go back routinely. My favorite dish is the yellow curry. My wife likes the pad Thai. Mom likes the papaya salad. Something for everyone. Not the best but a solid yes.
