The 20 Best Restaurants In Rome 2024 - Rome - The Infatuation

"Down a small cobblestone-lined alley near Piazza Navona is Ruma, a moody bar that serves natural wine alongside small plates featuring produce and buffalo dairy directly from the owners’ farm. If you’re only here for one thing, the cheese is straight-up phenomenal—from stracchino spooned on crusty bread to burrata that melts like your friend who got a little too emotional at the Sistine Chapel.  Other hits include buffalo meatloaf with a savory gravy and anything involving fresh vegetables. Sit at one of the tiny wooden tables among the orange glow—of both the lighting and your skin contact wine—and end with a large scoop of velvety gelato. (Buffalo-based, of course.)" - Gillian Mcguire, Team Infatuation

I found the hidden gem! Although it is known to locals, I did not see many tourists. It looks like a normal cheese shop, but their GELATO❤️❤️❤️! I was disappointed in gelato in Rome maybe because of my high expectations of having it in italy- but their bufala gelato exceeds any regular milk gelato I ever had. The hazelnut flavor had chunks of hazelnut and I loved how it was not overly sweet. The original was amazing too. Also very kind staff.

We loved this shop! The cuisine is quite different from the traditional Roman restaurants and gave us a much needed break from pasta. We enjoyed a very nice lunch here. The only issue for some will be the relatively higher price given the fresh ingredients used. For us, it was worthwhile. Highly recommended!

Truly nothing bad to say about this gem of a place! I stumbled upon it and I’m sure glad I did. This isn't a coffee shop, but it was the best coffee experience I had in Italy. Complex and intriguing espresso, stylish atmosphere, amazing staff, and let’s not forget the AIR CONDITIONING. As for the food, I only had one dish—a ricotta and zucchini creation—and it was spot on! The ice cream is also one of the best I’ve had: rich and not too sweet. Anyway, go enjoy, and if you can, stop by their farm in Tuscany.

We came back twice while in Rome. This is a perfect refuge from the hustle. The food is so delicious and so is the wine. It’s reasonable for the quality of the food. With a chill attitude. Both our meals were fantastic and hands down the best Gelato I’ve ever had. Please go and eat here. You will not be disappointed.

Farm to table concept, specialised in dairy products from buffallo milk. Ruma is definitely a must visit when in Rome for its unique concept and dinning experience. The place interior is rather cozy with cottage vibe. The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful! I love the mozarella, tomato, basil, and caspers appertizer(highly recommend!!). You can also make a quick stop for buffalo-milk gelato, very rich and creamy.

Lovely little place with a nice selection of wine and delicious cheeses/buffalo cheese products. They have orange wine! The food is simple and delicious. Staff is very friendly :) Great for an afternoon snack and glass of wine. The gelato is A++!

If you want to taste a authentic fresh Buffalo Mozzarella this is the place for you. This is the genuine “Farm to the table” concept. The place is family owned, and you can see their passion and dedication to their craft from production of their cheeses at their farm in Maremma region, South of Tuscany to the Buffalo Fior Di Late Gelato made locally (it is delicious). I went there multiple times and tried the whole menu, and it is worth it.

Cool and tasty natural wine bar! Most hipster place I’ve found in Rome so far. Delish small bites and wine. Staff was quirky, knowledgeable on wines, and fun. Don’t sleep on the gelato! It’s rich but not too sweet
