Great vibes and great food, the hummus was delicious, the mint tea was refreshing, the shawarma wraps were good (although I would say the beef seasoning wasn't the best but it was still great and enjoyable), and above all the service was top notch. Having fayrouz songs playing in the background was the cherry on top, will be back. Probably the best food option if you want to eat while visiting the mall.

I tried the Shish Tavuk at Rumaan Restaurant and was really impressed. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and perfectly grilled with a nice smoky taste. It came with rice, grilled veggies, and fresh pita a satisfying and well-balanced meal. The staff were friendly, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re craving quality Mediterranean food!

From the moment you step inside, the inviting aroma of freshly grilled meats, warm spices, and baked bread sets the stage for a meal that is both comforting and flavorful. The ingredients taste fresh, and the balance of flavors in every dish speaks to the authenticity of their recipes. Whether you’re indulging in a hearty lamb platter or keeping it light with a falafel wrap, you can tell that quality and tradition are at the heart of every bite. Service: Quick and Efficient One of the standout aspects of Rumaan Cuisine is the short wait time. Despite the complexity of Mediterranean cooking, the kitchen runs smoothly, ensuring that your food arrives hot and fresh without an excessive delay. Ambiance: Warm and Inviting The restaurant strikes a balance between casual and elegant, making it a great spot for both a quick bite and a leisurely meal. Rumaan Cuisine sets itself apart with its commitment to authenticity, healthy options, and efficient service. If you’re craving a taste of the Mediterranean—without the long wait or the compromise on quality—this place should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!

We walked in at 8:50pm, not knowing that the restaurant closed at 9pm. Despite our late entrance, the owner welcomed us in and made us feel right at home! On top of that, this was easily some of the best Mediterranean food we have ever tried! The hummus was so creamy and delicious, and we absolutely loved the gyro meat. I highly recommend Rumaan Mediterranean Cuisine for anyone in the area!

Google
30 minute wait and $20 for this! Hardly any meat, or salad on shish tawook. The wrap appetizer was so dry. What a rip off. Server was nice, but that's it.

Google
We loved this Mediterranean food restaurant. My son loved the Rumaan Philly cheesesteak and I enjoyed my gyro. The mint lemonade was refreshing. We tried the cheese burak and it was amazing.

Google
THIS IS THE BEST! I've eaten Persian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Greek food my entire life from San Francisco to Orange County, CA. Their food is made fresh daily from scratch. What makes Rumaan so exceptional is that their food is NOT over seasoned with salt, onions and garlic. Their food is a delicious combination of smooth hummus, yogurt, saffron, olive oil, cucumbers, fresh red onions, perfectly marinated chicken, moist rice and pita. The people who work there are friendly, gracious, kind and passionate about serving only the highest quality Jordanian food. When I ate there, there was another customer who was incidentally raving to the owners about how their Mediterranean food was the best in Austin. The meat is halal and they serve a mid week buffet for the Muslim community who are celebrating the end of their Ramadan fast. Good people and the best food!

Can't say enough good things about this place. It's like eating in Amman! The flavors and textures are perfection and there's variety without the menu being overwhelming. Our waiter was patient and attentive throughout and we really appreciated it 🙂 We had a late lunch on Friday afternoon and the place was pretty empty. I have allergy concerns, so this is always a plus for me because they're not rushed with questions. Items are well labeled and I had no allergy indicators with the food. Our waiter checked several times to ensure there would be no ingredients that might make me sick. I ordered the falafel appetizer and kafta plate which has very minimal modifications for gluten or dairy. The meat in all the dishes was juicy and tender. Pictures do not give the size of the dishes justice. You get a good amount of food for the price (I definitely added meat to mine and did not need to). This is definitely a place we will visit often and - as much as we loved there not being a lot of distracting customers - this place should totally be busy all the time!

Yelp
Was shopping in the mall and decided I need lunch. Love that the menu has allergy friendly codes to navigate the menu. My husband was able to pick a gluten and dairy free meal and had quite a few options to choose from. I started off with the lentil soup. Came out hot and had a great flavor served with lemon and chips I had the grilled shrimp. A decent portion of shrimp over rice. Came with a salad and hummus and pita. Portion size was perfect for the price.

Yelp
What a great find! My husband and I tried this restaurant before seeing a movie at Lakeline. We love Mediterranean food and have had it at many restaurants. The food at Rumaan was excellent and the service was friendly and well paced. We are vegetarians and were deilghted that there were so many vegetarian options. To tell you the truth, we were so focused on the excellent dinner, visiting with the friendly owner and interacting with our waiter, that I didn't pay much attention to the ambiance, other than appreciating that the light was cozily dimmed. We are going back tonight to try some different dishes. I'm eager to try the dumplings. We are so happy to have found Rumaan!

Yelp
It was delicious! The service was friendly too, we believe it is a family run business. Our waiter gave us great recommendations and we finished our plates. I also got a pomegranate juice which was natural and fizzy. The cheese and zaatar bread was so squishy and delicious. It had lots of olive oil too. We'd definitely come back.
google avatar

Yelp
A super convenient spot to grab a meal if you're in the mall or about to watch a movie. The service is pretty quick and the water was super friendly. The food itself is pretty good, but the only thing that really stood out to me was the garlic sauce. Literally yum I couldn't get enough it. I also like that they give some pita to just eat alongside your meal. The only thing that detracted from my experience was that while we were ordering, a huge cockroach crawled right next to our table, like so close to my foot and it freaked me out. We didn't see any more after, but I was kind of on edge the whole meal, and scared to put my feet on the ground.

Yelp
I went here with some friends and I got the chicken shawarma plate. I replaced the hummus with extra rice and I really enjoyed the dish. The rice was delicious and chicken was seasoned well. Maybe slightly overcooked, but I really enjoyed my food. The only downfall is that my friend and I saw a roach while we were waiting.
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty! Not what you'd expect from a mall restaurant. Wonderful mint lemonade (fresh, & sour, perfect for the summer), v good baba ghanoush, and everyone enjoyed their plates (rice was really nice and buttery, meat was charred, salad was well dressed). Lovely server, Yousef. Thank you.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a great time here. The food was delicious and all of the employees Ali, Michael, and Allam were so nice to us. God bless them!

Yelp
I want to commend this place for the absolutely amazing service! They took care of my large group of 13 people with such attentiveness and care. The food was amazing. Really great portions too. I got the beef and chicken shawarma. Meats were seasoned great. Love the ratio of meat, rice, salad, and hummus. I was confused about the Lakeline mall location but it was actually convenient for a large group to come here. BTW it's not inside the mall, it's just right by JC Penney.
google avatar

Lisa O.

Yelp
They are located at Lakeline Mall, where Buca di Beppo used to be. My girlfriend and I both loved Rumaan Mediterranean. The owner husband is Jordanian, and the owner wife is Palestinian. Initially, my girlfriend and I were concerned because no one else was in the restaurant at 3:30 P.M. on a weekday. But the food was really delicious. Their food is really clean and healthy. I ordered the beef shawarma plate with saffron rice, hummus, and salad. It had the perfect amount of acidity. I also ordered a mint lime lemonade, which was very refreshing. My only wish is that they offered at least one dairy free gelato or sorbet.
google avatar

Charity N.

Yelp
Some of the best Mediterranean food in the area. It was SOOOO GOOD. Service was awesome and ambience was nice. The grilled chicken and lamb kabob were seriously so delicious and the humus with the rice, wow! I could tell everything was freshly made and authentic
google avatar

Aanand S.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Great quality & tasted authentic. Service was good too. Wait staff was friendly and what appeared like the owner. All were very friendly & quick in service. We went late on a week end night so there weren't too many people around in the restaurant at all. Could have helped. Ambiance was meh. Lots of paintings of pomegranates all around. Lots of deep reds. That's the name of the restaurant after all. Exterior view from outside the mall is depressing & uninviting. However, the promise of nice Mediterranean cuisine is what will pull you in. ...and it delivers!
google avatar

Netta K.

Yelp
This location is inside the mall but you can access it from the outside. We came in a party of 6 so they added an exorbitant gratuity which was upsetting as it took 20 mins to get WATER! I ordered the falafel appetizers DONT they are SO dry and tasteless. For my meal I ordered the gyro plate, the meat was good but for $17 the amount of meat was not worth it. Just over all the experience is not something I will do again and cannot recommend it to anyone.
google avatar

Joe H.

Yelp
Really good food and the owner and staff are great! We enjoyed the hummus, and the gyro sandwich was very good. We will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Decided to give this place a try after shopping at the lakeline mall . Located right at the entrance of the mall by JCPenny/ Macys entrance . The place seems to be family run business and the staff and everyone else was amazing & super sweet people a! Loved their outdoor sitting area but was quit hot/humid the day we went. Tried their cauliflower wrap and one of the cheesy bread. The bread was amazing .. my wrap was just ok. Husband tried the chicken wrap and he said it was good . Though compared to other Mediterranean places I felt the wrap was too small as a meal ! I want to definitely go back again and try few other things !
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Authentic! The shawarma arabi sandwich and fries were excellent - really enjoyed it! The hummus and zatar pies not so much. Also had the tabouleh which I did enjoy. If it wasn't for the bland hummus and zatar - I would have rated 5 stars. Stick with the entries! Good place to visit!
google avatar

Laurie W.

Yelp
The rice is a little bland but the restaurant is huge and the meat is tasty. We tried a variety to get a feel for the cuisine and it's all very good. It's empty on a weekday because it's at the mall but it has an outside entrance and is easy to get to. The service was good and I have no complaints.

Yelp
Food: 4.75 / 5 Service: 5 / 5 Cleanliness: 5 / 5 Parking: 4.99 / 5 (Plenty of parking due to it being in a mall) Price: 4.5 / 5 Obviously this is the BEST food at the mall. The quality of every dish that we tried were amazing. You can tell the owners put time and effort into putting a well made menu. The owner actually came around and talked to us during dinner to make sure we were all taken care of. I would actually give this place 4.5 stars but giving 5 for their effort and hospitality! - TikTok/YouTube: @gillynova

Yelp
We went there for lunch time, and tried the buffet. The owner greeted us at the door. They checked on us multiple times, which was nice. I was surprised to have to use plastic cups, plastic knifes/forks, and plastic plates for a buffet. The buffet size is average, I liked the baba ghanoush (eggplant) and the chicken, everything else was just ok. The baklava was too dry. The place was not busy at all for lunch time. They had cheap plastic cup for hot tea or coffee. Middle eastern food is amazing, but this place doesn't match what you would expect. I probably won't return to this place.

Robert K.

Yelp
I have been craving Mediterranean food for a few weeks. I was at Lakeline Mall and wasn't happy with the selection in the Food Court, so we tried this restaurant. The food was amazing! For appetizers, I ordered the kibbeh and my souse ordered the lentil soup. Both were among the best we have had! For our main courses, my spouse ordered a falafel plate. I'm really not given too superlatives, but the falafel was, once again, amongst the best we have ever had. I ordered the lamb kebab plate. Everything was delicious. The salad was fresh, and plentiful. The humus was great. The rice was great. As you can see, we enjoyed everything we ate. I will be back and I highly recommend it.
google avatar

Yelp
Random stop at Lakeline mall for some shopping, and this place was on the way out. Super good food. Good atmosphere. Service was good, but we were the only ones there. Had the chicken shawarma and it was delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. I feel so foolish that it took me so long to come to this place. I started coming here a few weeks ago because they had Foul. I have always wanted to try Foul and I've never seen a place that had it. Boy was I surprised by all the delicious food they have here. I think it maybe was minor skepticism of it being in a mall that did not bring me here sooner. Boy was I wrong, it looks and tastes great in there. The common thing for all their dishes is the level of spice. It's flavorful without being overwhelming. Nothing there was what I considered spicy, but the spices in it are pleasant and warming. You get much more of a lemony flavor than anything spicy which is more common for Mediterranean food. I have now had several dishes from the menu including multiple types of beef, chicken shawarma, dumplings and the aforementioned foul. I think my favorite main so far is Chicken Shawarma and the Foul is the best app. My toddler absolutely loves the Cauliflower though because it is spectacular. Everyone there is super nice, they have things on the menu that aren't just gyro meat and shawarma, and the desserts are interesting and delicious. I highly recommend the baklava as it is not doused in honey like a lot of baklava I've had in the past. Please go here, I think you will highly enjoy it like I did.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing Mediterranean food! The chicken shawarma wrap was absolutely the best I've ever had. The wrap was crunchy and soft yet thin and stuffed full of delicious, juicy, and tender chicken and pickles. So flavorful! They also had some taziki sauce on the side which was also wonderful with the wrap. Didn't get any pictures of the wrap because we ate it so fast. We also tried a mezza sampler plate. Really enjoyed the babaganoush, tabbouleh, and the cauliflower. Service was pretty fast since the restaurant was fairly quiet on a weekday lunch. This is a real hidden gem. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Have been meaning to try this place out since it's very visible right at the entrance to Lakeline Mall. The food did not disappoint, especially the freshly baked bread. The meat was also well spiced and delicious. The specialty ice cream was worth a try albeit a little overpriced. Ambiance is so-so inside (not what we were expecting from the bright blue walls outside).
google avatar

Surbhi C.

Yelp
Nice location with outside seating. Decor is bit meh. Food was good and fresh. I ordered pita sandwich and it was served with tahini sauce. That's all. I feel that the quantity wasn't enough for the price they were charging. They can make the place more welcoming as well..

Cheddar M.

Yelp
Very good food. We tried multiple appetizers and a Shwarma plate. Every dish was delicious, especially Foul Mudammas and Labaneh. We will definitely return.

Yelp
My love of Mediterranean food brought me out of my way to try Rumaan. It is located in the Lakeline Mall. You can access it from by the side entrance and not go into the mall. It was empty when I arrived, so I had my choice of seats. Requested an Iced tea for my beverage. Looked over the menu while waiting for my drink. Decided on the stuffed grape leaves for an appetizer and the Kafta Shish plate for my meal. Two additional tables were seated while I was waiting for my food. Then my dolmas arrived. Interesting take on the grape leaves, they were served warm with only olive oil and lemon juice. Usually expect tzatziki sauce to dip them in. I am not complaining as they did taste good with just oil and lemon. My issue was they kept falling apart. Not wrapped tight enough or because it was served warm, not sure but it made a mess. There were six on the plate but I stopped at three to save room for my entree. The plate contained one Kafta (I am accustom to having t6wo with a meal), a half a cup of hummus, half a cup of salad, and a cup and a half of rice. The one thing I don't eat much of is rice, tried a couple of forkfuls and it was rice, nothing special. The salad was dressed with oil and lemon which is standard but I liked it. The hummus was pretty good too. The Kafta was good but dry, again I am used to having it with tzatziki but I used the hummus to give it moisture. Pita was not included which I am also used to having with a Mediterranean meal. Needless to say, I finished the entree except for the rice. I took the Dolmas home for a meal later. What shocked me the most was the price. It was close to $30.00 for lunch. If it had the tzatziki, a pita and a second Kafta, I would say it was worth it.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
The good was different but tasty. Clean restaurant! My mother and I were the only ones there and the service was slow. I had to ask for to go containers. Then I has to ask 2 more times for the bill. The guy kept getting in his phone. Very nice people though!!!!
google avatar

Jing B.

Yelp
We weren't sure what to expect, after reading the mixed reviews on Yelp -- some people loved Rumaan's food, others not so much. We ordered a Kafta Wrap and a Mezza plate (with falafel, baba ghanouj (eggplant dip), hummus and cauliflower.) Honestly, we were bowled over by the Mezza plate -- everything was delicious. And the cauliflower was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Both dishes were nicely plated and tasted home-made, in a good way! You know how restaurants tend to add MSG and too much salt, to produce flavor where none was lacking? Not with the food they served us today. We'll be back to try more!
google avatar

Mary F.

Yelp
There was nothing positive to mention about this place in my food review. The food, environment, and price were all horrific.

Sammy K.

Yelp
Great food, excellent service and truly authentic, we happened to order mixed grill plate which was really good, we will definitely go back to order more dishes.

Yelp
I moved from a place that is a hotspot for amazing Mediterranean cuisine. You literally could not throw a stone without hitting a Mediterranean restaurant & it is home to one of the handful Mediterranean restaurants with a Bib Gourmand Michelin distinction. We tried a few other Mediterranean restaurants in the area when we moved to Central Texas and was very disappointed. That is until we tried Rumaan. Highly authentic and gobsmacking delicious, we were incredibly ecstatic to have finally found a Mediterranean restaurant that met our standards for fantastic Mediterranean cuisine. Best part? This family-owned restaurant has amazing service, manned with the sweetest people who are palpably passionate about their food. I highly recommend this place if you're having a Mediterranean food craving!
google avatar

Tim A.

Yelp
Showed up at 11:30 AM at their opening time, and waited for 10 minutes. Employees were inside, but they did not open the door. Not sure if they're closing down, but really rough when you're trying to have a business luncheon at the stated business hours, and they don't open for customers.
google avatar

Claudia G.

Yelp
The food is so tasty. Loved the rice and the Gyro beef. Also the service is great. Highly recommend trying this restaurant.
google avatar

Philipe C.

Yelp
Their flatbreads are out of this world, uniquer and tasty dough! Our 2 year old can eat one by himself, so good! We have also tried entrees and other appetizers, everything done fresh and excellent seasoning. Their falafel is one of the best I have ever had. This is a legit Mediterranean restaurant serving traditional recipes from the middle east! Oh, also try their arabic pistachio ice cream!

Peter R.

Yelp
Great sit down middle eastern restaurant in Austin, finally! Delicious kebabs, clean, comfortable restaurant to hang out... don't let the Lakeline Mall location throw you off. Food and service are really good!

Matt B.

Yelp
I recommend the Shish Tawook. The chicken is flavorful and not dry. And definitely hummus and pita bread. And tabbouleh. I come here often. Oops I just realized I recommended the same thing in my original review. Please read my original review below, as well.

Vincent W.

Yelp
Ok. Five star restaurant review for a mall restaurant - am I insane? No. I'm a man who has lived in and traveled through the Middle East extensively and this place is not only legit, it is absolutely delicious (laziz awi!) With five-star worthy service to boot. Shawarma and mint tea were fantastic, and the hummus was splendid. The pitas came out warm & smelling divine. We will return. Five stars well earned, and shukran jaziilan!

Yelp
Absolutely our favorite Go-To for Mediterranean food! Fresh food choices. Consistent quality. Service is always quick & considerate. A rare find. We try and visit 2 or 3 times per month.

Yelp
Amazing food! Best Mediterranean restaurant in the area. Great desserts too... Staff very friendly. We had a nice time with parents and kids. Will be regular customers here for sure!

Yelp
This was our first time trying Mediterranean in Austin. The service was lacking. We tried to order drinks and the waitress insisted that we order everything all at once, food, and drinks. We ordered the lamb kabob plate it was well cooked. The menu states that they serve fountain drinks but they brought out two Pepsi cans. The cans were filthy and when I asked the waitress for a napkin to clean them off she acted like I had offended her, and questioned me. Over all the food was good but probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

Celes S.

Yelp
My brother and I tried this place for the first time and we LOVE it!! The waiter welcomed us to sit anywhere and was really nice. We ordered the falafel, chicken and beef shawarma and rumaan kafta grill... it was perfect for two people and the food was delicious. The hummus that came with the entree was really good. We also ended it with the pistachio baklava dessert which was the BEST. I've tried baklava before at other places and they were super sweet for me but this one was by far the best for me. The place in general was nice and clean.. If you're looking for a Mediterranean place in area, this is the place!!
google avatar

Anusha R.

Yelp
Pretty authentic and good Mediterranean food. The kabobs were great and chicken was cooked so perfectly. I LOVED the Turkish coffee and the lentil soup! Lentil soup was so comforting; perfect for a cold evening! The owners are really sweet and kind. Loved the place and the ambiance too; very friendly.

T A.

Yelp
We've eaten Arabic food all over America and the Mid-East, and Rumaan ranks at the top with the best. Fresh, authentic, excellent service. Go there!
google avatar

janet b.

Yelp
Oh! My! Delish! We came for lunch and we're coming back soon! We ordered the mezze plate which was hands down some of the best baba ghanoosh, tabooleh, cauliflower and hummus ever...which is saying something since mine is only marginally better! Ha! Seriously, if you want authentic Middle eastern food that will make you crave more, run, don't walk here. PS the service is super, the presentation is beautiful and the prices reasonable.
google avatar

Belle G.

Yelp
Good for a quick greek fix, nice service & atmosphere. I think I expected more from all the 5 star reviews? My 4 yr old enjoyed his gyro & fries. My falafel was moist, flavor okay, but I was disappointed it wasn't served with pita or tahini sauce. I also want to note the gelato is definitely not gelato. More like a frozen cream cheese dessert. Initially, the portion was offensive for $9.50 but it's rich...a little goes a long way. I might be back to order my son a gyro but I'll pass for myself.
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
We ordered the Mezza, beef shawarma on hummus, beef shawarma wrap, and pistachio gelato. Mezza was missing one of the four items we ordered. No cauliflower. The fattoush salad was mediocre. Falafels were very dry. Eggplant was okay. It was definitely not worth $18. Husband enjoyed the beef shawarma. Hummus was good. Pistachio gelato had a strange marshmallow-like texture. I probably wouldn't get it again. Took awhile to get the food even though we called ahead but service was good and polite. Rumaan gets two stars. ***** Finished everything...no crumb left behind **** Leftovers put in fridge to be enjoyed again *** Leftovers put in fridge but soon forgotten ** Leftovers thrown away * Gross...tossed and got something else to eat
google avatar

May O.

Yelp
Good food and great service. Food came very quickly, it's inside a mall but you can access from the parking lot
google avatar

Bradley B.

Yelp
The food and service and staff were awesome. We ordered most of everything on the menu and every bite was delicious. It's home cooking in the mall . You've got to try it.

Yelp
Amazing food and world best service and should try the mint lemonade and chicken kabob is the best with garlic sauce every thing is good !!!! Will definitely come back again !!!!
