I was in the area for work and decided to stop by Runfish y Vino—and oh my goodness, what a great choice! I had such a fun time trying their delicious dishes. I started with the beet and arugula salad, which was fresh and flavorful. Then I tried both the fried cauliflower tacos and grilled fish tacos. Each had interesting, delicious flavor profiles—though I personally would’ve loved just a bit more seasoning. That’s just me! The watermelon cocktail with rum was incredibly refreshing—I basically inhaled it. For dessert, I had the key lime dessert, and wow… it was an absolute work of art, both visually and taste-wise. My server was truly wonderful—kind-hearted, attentive, and full of great recommendations. His warm energy really added to the whole experience. I dined outside just before sunset, and the ambiance was beautiful. The fresh air, the soft glow of string lights around the trees—it all created such a lovely setting. I’d absolutely love to come back again. Highly recommend!

Came here first with my parents before for brunch and they loved it. Went today for dinner with my fiance & our dog after strolling around the town. They sat us in the patio area, which was warm with plenty of free standing & wall mounted heaters. Ordered 3 different cocktails, all tasted great and the food was also tasty. The servers here are very welcoming and well mannered and provided speedy service. Will definitely come back here when in town. The vibe was great!

Google
This place was amazing! All the items in the photos were experiences all their own, and the atmosphere was a nice break from the laid back Ventura vibes, and very memorable. The service was very fast and friendly, and we will be telling everyone about this dinner for years to come!

Google
Nice place for a brunch. Great outdoor venue serving “upper-scale” American food. Food was good, maybe slightly on the pricier end.

I stumbled across Rumfish while searching for a "date night" spot away from the heat. What a pleasant surprise! Great food, great service, and a nice. We had halibut and NY steak specials, the conch fritters, the brussel sprouts with pork belly and broccolini. It was a bit too much food for the two of us, but everything was delicious! We left completely satisfied with everything!

Google
A nice cozy restaurant for both family gatherings and romantic dates, happy hours are open on weekends and the prices are quite reasonable, interesting presentation, everything is very tasty. The restaurant has a shop with various vintage things, a very cozy place, I recommend it to everyone, five stars!

Great outdoor seating area. It feels like you are in Europe. For sure has great food and drinks. The atmosphere is perfect for groups or dates.

Amazing place, we were staying in Ventura for a few days and needed up having dinner here twice. Very good food and cocktails!

Yelp
Rum fish is always such a great place to stop in for lunch or dinner. Food is always great and drinks are always so tasty. We've also had two Christmas parties there. They have a family style option that works perfectly for us. We've been put in the back room twice and it was perfect!! Kelli our waitress at both Christmas parties was truly amazing!!! Super friendly and handled everyone's drink orders amazingly!!!

Yelp
I've been to Rumfish y Vino a handful of times for lunch, and it consistently delivers a great experience - definitely a solid 4 stars! The ambiance is tropical and inviting, with a laid-back yet upscale vibe that feels like a mini getaway. Having tried most of the menu, I can confidently say the standouts for me are their daily specials, tacos (especially the fish and cochinita pibil), and their burger. The tacos are flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the burger is juicy with just the right amount of char. Don't be afraid to ask for their habanero sauce if you like spice! Cocktails are also a must have here. Their rum based drinks are refreshing and expertly crafted, pairing perfectly with the vibrant flavors of the food. Service is always great, though I tend to visit during off peak lunch hours, so it's never too crowded. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always happy to make recommendations, which makes each visit enjoyable. Overall, I'd highly recommend Rumfish y Vino, especially if you're in Downtown Ventura and craving bold flavors, great cocktails, and a relaxing atmosphere. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Stopped by after weighing all of my options on the street. Ambiance was great and I decided to sit on the patio. I started with a cocktail, which was very good, but I unfortunately forgot the name of it. I was however a bit disappointed with the Caribbean fish stew. At $30, I think the portion was pretty stingy, it looked as if somebody had already eaten half my bowl before it got to the table. The fish was also tough like it had been cooked too long. I kind of wished I had just gotten two cocktails and got dinner elsewhere. The staff was very kind though, no complaints on service!

Yelp
Meeting friends for lunch and conversation on a rainy Tuesday morning. No problem getting a table inside (though there was someone sitting out on the patio ever optimistic that the sun would soon be out). Meg, our server, came by to get our drink order soon after we sat down. Service was good throughout the meal. The lunch menu is pretty limited (see photo) but between the starters, the salads and the sandwiches, there are things you can be happy with. My wife and I shared the Cubano ($17) with a side of fries. It is a pretty standard Cubano with pork, bacon, cheddar on a toasted ciabatta bread - quite good. The biggest negative is the limited metered street parking.

Yelp
A fantastic find! The food is excellent! So much so that we went back twice! Loved the lionfish Crudo the best. But everything we had was delicious. The red sangria was our favorite beverage. So flavorful! The service was good and the staff were friendly. The restaurant is an upscale Island vibe. Definitely check it out if you are in the area!

Yelp
Made reservations for 10 for a holiday lunch with the crew. Arrived a little early and everything was set up before 1130 which was rad, zero wait. We sat, ordered drinks and some appetizers while waiting for the rest of the group. Staff was fantastic the entire time and the food was outstanding! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was absolutely massive!! Crispy fried and topped with fresh coleslaw. Paired with garlic fries that were hand cut and were not overly greasy was a fantastic meal!!

Yelp
Came here for date night with my hubby for the first time. He is very particular about restaurants and he LOVED rum fish y vino! He ordered the seasonal steak which was a huge 16 oz juicy ribeye cooked to perfection. I ordered the chimchurri steak which was also delicious, I only wish there was more steak on my dish as it was so good! :) I also had the orange jalapeño marg which was so refreshing. Service was attentive and friendly :) interior and outdoor seating area were beautiful, felt do elegant. The holiday deco was just lovely. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Stopped by for prebday celebration dinner with friends, I was iffy at first because of my last experience but they REALLY wanted a lasagna dinner so I caved in. Have to say I was impressed, service was friendly. Lasagna was tasty, the short rib was a lot and the portion was definitely enough to stuff me. Loved the pumpkin spice espresso martini which may have kept me up til 3am lol, totally worth it though! The bday ice cream was also so so thoughtful!

Yelp
An absolute must visit when in Ventura. The place is a vibe. Whether its a casual weekday dinner, a fun Friday night out, or a Sunday brunch, this spot delivers. My favorite dish is the Fig and Goat Cheese Salad with the Hanger Steak. Ask for it medium. The dry rub provides great flavor, and the fresh Figs with creamy whipped cheese balance out the seasoning. Its literally a perfect combo. Are you a non-meat eater? Try their Mayan dish: king oyster mushroom asada, spiced quinoa, sweet potato, pickled onion, herb salad, and salsa verde. Each bite is full of flavor and the dish is filling. Don't leave without trying one of the oven-fired flat-breads, the A P R I C O T H A B A N E R O B A C O N!!! Did you read that? #flavor The indoor / outdoor space is filled with warm coastal vibes. It's never too cold to sit outside next to the outdoor fireplace, or under an outdoor heat lamp. When the place is full, I can normally find a seat or two at the bar. Larger parties can reserve their private backroom for a special dinner and more intimacy. I might have to take a trip to Placencia, Belize to catch the vibes at their other location! Tip: The owners have great vision and an eye for design. I'm excited about their new space that is within the property space, across the walkway which offers wine, shopping, and live music events. Go inside and explore!

Yelp
Every time I come here, I really want to like it because the ambience is fantastic. There's just something about the vibe that makes it inviting. However, I always find myself feeling let down by the food and drinks, as they never quite hit the mark for me. Tonight, I ordered the posole and a margarita. The margarita was fine, but I was thrown off by the salt being placed on the lemon wedge used for garnish rather than on the rim of the glass. I really would have preferred it to be on the rim, or at least around part of it, to enhance the drink. As for the posole, it's definitely not the typical version you'd expect around here. I'm all for trying new foods from different regions, but this one just didn't work for me. The broth was almost non-existent, and I was surprised by the purée placed on top of the four slices of pork belly on the side. While the pork belly itself was exceptional--rich, tender, and perfectly cooked--I wasn't a fan of the sauce that accompanied it. It felt unnecessary and didn't complement the dish as I had hoped. That said, the ambience was once again top-notch. It was a chilly night, but the heaters were strategically placed, ensuring I was never uncomfortable. The lighting created a warm, cozy atmosphere, and the crowd was lively, full of laughter and good energy, which made the experience enjoyable despite my food misgivings. Will I return? Yes, likely. I'll probably come in with the same expectation I always have: to enjoy the setting, but with a little expectation to enjoy my meal and also pay a hefty bill.

Yelp
I wanted to check out this place based off of the Yelp reviews. I had out of town friends visiting and we were walking down so this was the perfect time to try this place out. It was a warm day for Ventura weather, it was 86 but we chose to sit outside on the patio and we requested a shady spot. The patio has a nautical feel with light wood chairs and white and blue umbrellas. So many things on the menu sounded good that it was difficult to decide. 3 of us ordered the Wagyu burger and one person ordered the Ceviche. It's great that they ask how you like the burger cooked and they mark it with a little toothpick so they know which burger was which. I also ordered garlic fries instead of regular fries with it. The burger was cooked as requested, medium. It was juicy and had a good flavor. The fries also had great flavor and was services with a garlic dipping sauce. Our waiter was pretty good. Whatever we needed, he was able to provide for us rather quickly. The food runners were also very friendly and even took a group photo for us.

Yelp
As part of my birthday month celebration I wanted to finally try this place out. We went during lunch and I was glad to to see that even though it was a Saturday during a heat wave we were seated right away. The restaurant is pretty and feels like a perfect place to eat delicious seafood close to the beach. I ordered their fish tacos and they were good, but I do have to say I had to ask for salt because it was missing a bit of salt for my liking. Other than that they were great! You can chose from grilled or fried fish, I went with grilled fish. My order came with a side of garlic fries which were delicious. I also had Dragonfruit Caipiroska cocktail which was refreshing and not too strong. My kids had a cheeseburger and a pepperoni pizza, they didn't finish their food but they seem to like it. My husband let the waitress know we were celebrating my bday and they were so nice to bring me a small bowl of ice cream with a birthday candle. The service was good. The waitress was helpful and friendly.

Yelp
Stopped in on Sunday for brunch and wasn't disappointed. Cute decor, a large dining patio, and good dog-watching spot. The Aperol Spritz with Grapefruit was so refreshing. I'm going to order it that way from now on. Yum! The French toast my MiL ordered looked delicious and she enjoyed it. It came with a huge side of crispy bacon. My husband and I both had the fried chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich had so much chicken inside I had to take a piece out just to be able to bite into it. Not mad at that. The fries were some of the best I've ever had! I would go back just for those! In the courtyard outside is a cute little Sip and Shop area called The Livery. My husband picked up a bottle of Mario's Hard Espresso that we sampled. Tasty!

Christina W.

Yelp
We were seated immediately even though we arrived a little late for our reservation. Really pretty ambiance outside with a little more of a casual feel inside. All of our food and drinks were super yummy, and our server was very attentive. The pork belly tacos were DELICIOUS! I would definitely recommend them. The flatbread with apricot was also really good. We ordered a steak that was on their specials menu which was a little pricey and tough, but yummy nonetheless. The fish spread was served with this delicious soft bread, and the spread itself was okay. Overall a pleasant and tasty experience.

Yelp
this place is always been amazing forhappy hour ....but we had my daughters wedding reception here they gave us a back private room we had 20+ people the service was phenomenal. The food was phenomenal. The drinks flowed. She continuously made sure everybody has a full drink and that is so rare and service with that many people The manager was super nice. Everything was five stars Thank you so much.

Rob S.

Yelp
Very nice spot. That's the only good aspect to my experience here for lunch today, Saturday. And while it's a nice setting, and while they occupy a large space, they still find a way to seat all the outdoor tables in a very cramped manner. Literally six inches away from me was a woman with her dog. The tables are smallish, so there's not a lot of surface, yet the chairs of one table are inches away from the chairs of the adjacent tables. We ordered two taco plates. One was cochinita pibil and the other was fish. Each "plate" consisted of two modestly sized corn tortilla tacos, which were greasy, almost tasteless and meagerly filled. $14 per plate, so $28 for four bad quality tacos, about $35 after tax and tip.

Pryscilla T.

Yelp
I loved the ambiance of this restaurant. It's such a cute date spot - low key and intimate. We ordered the sesame crusted ahi tuna with wasabi mash potato, and the trio of tacos (carnitas, veggie, and battered fried fish). The tuna was delicious for the first few bites but towards the end it was hard to finish. The sesame crust texture was too dominating at the end but I loved the mashed potatoes. It wasn't too spicy. My favorite taco out of all three was the veggie. While my dishes didn't blow me away, I would return to try some other dishes.

Zsanae K.

Yelp
I've been here a few times. The service is great. I like that they have added Brewery X seltzers to their drink list. Their menu has something for everyone. I ordered 3 mahi mahi tacos. 2 were grilled 1 was fried. The fried one was overcooked, the grilled ones were better, and the tortillas were fresh.

Victoria V.

Yelp
The staff here is amazing and they give you ice cream for your birthday with a candle. We enjoyed the service and food on a Sunday night. We were surprised how many people were here on a Sunday evening.

Anola S.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE Rumfish! Their drinks are always great and the food is to die for. PLUS ambience is 10/10 as well as service! Been here many times but this past time I came for my friend's bachelorette dinner! Ordered the Vegetarian Rice & Beans with Roasted Vegetables. The coconut rice was amazing and beans were hearty and cooked perfectly. I could have drank the Guajillo chile sauce on its own . The only thing I would have changed about the dish was the size of roasted chayote, subbed the Brussels sprouts for broccoli and added a bit more salt and pepper. Other things to order: fish tacos, margaritas, waygu burger and ALWAYS the fried plantain chips!!!

Giancarlos B.

Yelp
Great little spot in Downtown Ventura. I don't know what a rumfish is, but the fish in my tacos was great! We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday and we enjoyed the experience. I got the two fish tacos and the garlic fries and everything was tasty. Although I have to say that the highlight of the meal was the garlic fries, they were awesome. I also had a Leashless blonde beer and it was very refreshing. My wife got a birthday treat and she loved it. The service was also very good, we didn't have to wait long to get our food after ordering. Well done Rumfish, well done.

Ginevra A.

Yelp
This is a multi year review. Every Labor Day weekend we are in Ventura and most years we visit Rumfish. I was thinking we've eaten there 5 or 6 times. Clearly, I like the space and the food. This round there was a bit left to be desired unfortunately. Sloppy service - bread plate, fork and knives left on dirty table after clearing and dessert brought out - had to ask the server to clear the rest... Requested to wait to order a soup after salad finished but soup still came out while eating salad - I mentioned this is why we waited to order it.... Mussels were pretty good, mustard cream but lack of salt and bread was stale - told server - later evening re-grilled bread is my opinion, or it's just been sitting out since start of service (yuk). The Brussels sprouts with pork belly were over cooked and greasy. Not crispy, burnt veg and pork. We've had good experiences here, brought friends, my DIL who's a chef, I'm writing this for management to hopefully have a look at improving what was once pretty good. A little more attention to detail in training staff... later guests should receive same service and quality... and the items we had needed some polish. The space is still lovely, great outdoor dining, nice bar area. The conch chowder is delish - but again stale bread this time and the pot de creme was yummy. I've had good ceviche, ahi crudo, flatbread and pibil tacos at prior visits. Thanks for hearing me out.

Yelp
Another fabulous dining experience at Rumfish! We love this place! Sat on the patio again and the service was fantastic! Can't remember our servers name but he was great! Friendly! Helpful! And attentive throughout our meal! Our drinks and food were also amazing! The other couple we were with LOVED their Hanger Steaks! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tacos! (Grilled fish, crispy fish & pork) and the fig and goat cheese salad was amazing too! And being that it was happy hour, without us saying anything, our server made sure to give us the deals on our drinks, tacos & salad! Excellent and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Deb V.

Yelp
Suggest you Make a reservation on OpenTable because it gets crowded here. The inside space is beautiful, clean and modern. The inside has all glass windows so you never feel cramped indoors. The outdoors has plenty of tables and is also quite comfortable. It's fun vibes in the summertime. The service is good. If you make a reservation you will get seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly and helped with suggestions. Food came fast. The food is great. I like the seafood and pork tacos. I am not a fan of Concha fritters, but they are popular. My only suggestion for improvement is the menu items have not changed much over the years and I would like to see new items. The drinks are refreshing! I ordered a non alcoholic ginger fizz and I loved it. This place has great vibes and is a ventura staple.

Sue D.

Yelp
This was a lovely place for lunch. Busy on the patio, and no one eating inside (I've heard it gets noisy in there). Service was attentive and thoughtful. Fish and chips is our tester item, and it was above the bar in quality, presentation, and portion. My photo doesn't do justice to the 3 generous pieces of battered halibut-- crispy batter and tender, thick filets. Fries almost seemed double fried as they had nice crispy outsides, and the coleslaw was definitely fresh -- a little bland, but still -- I'll take fresh! My sister had the fish tacos (grilled yellow fish) which she said was "ok" but she helped us with our plates and we were all happy. The patio is nestled in a private courtyard, and they have ample blue and white sun umbrellas for shade. Attractive mature plantings and all around. Too early for me for a cocktail, but the menu descriptions were enticing. (St. Germain Elderflower with sparkling rosé $12... yum!) I would recommend this place to friends. And I'll return to enjoy the ambiance and try some other things from their menu.

Cameron C.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool place. Indoor / outdoor plaza seating. Suggest you get a reservation, but they were reasonable to get me in when i didn't. The bartender was great, i ordered a "fancy gin" drink for a friend, and the concoction was great. I tend to favor Empress Gin, which they had as well. The food was tasty and reasonably priced such a place. People mention Belize because it is said the owners have a restaurant in Belize. The owner was actually very personable. I brought a "library wine" (given by a friend, and the owner opened it himself (corkage fee $25). It was a really positive experience.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
It was super packed on Saturday night. Both food and cocktails that we ordered were just okay I think. The steak was a bit overcooked (even though I ordered for medium). The sausage inside of the cioppino had a strange smell on it. The ambiance was nice though!

Rachel I.

Yelp
Dining inside or outside available Street parking Great service Amazing quality food and drinks Gorgeous ambiance Our first time here and we were wooed off our feet's!! From the host to our server everyone was so nice and welcoming, also very helped! We ordered probably everything of the happy hour menu to share. From plate to plate you could taste the quality and freshness of everything. Absolutely delicious!! Can't wait to come back , a must try

Ulli H.

Yelp
This place is one of my new favs! I've only been here twice, but both times has been a complete delight. The outside patio is so beautiful, I feel like I'm on holiday. The service is very friendly and professional. Food is a feast for the eyes and mouth, fresh ingredients skillfully and creatively paired and arranged. I haven't had anything bad here. I will definitely be back soon.

Jo M.

Yelp
A neat quaint place to have a quiet meal... ambiance is wonderful. Food all tasty and well cooked. Friendly service. Price is right.

Jose R.

Yelp
Due to a craving of fresh fish prior to the ventura marathon, we found this great spot! The catch of the day was a crispy skin bass, on creamy sauce with cherry tomatoes. My wife enjoyed the carribean stew with a great portion of protein. Two recommendations, 1-bring out the appetizers prior to the meal. We order conch fritters and they came out at the same time as our main meal. Because they were both hit, we had to rush through our appetizers to get to our meal. 2-chunks of sausage in the stuff were huge. Since they were very chewy you still had to cut them with a knife. Either cut them smaller or in slices to be eaten in a bite.

Kendall C.

Yelp
Wow amazing restaurant! The interior and outdoor patio are both so lovely. We didn't have a reservation so got sat at a smaller table inside, but we were just grateful to get a table! Definitely book ahead on weekends to be safe. My fish tacos were excellent, the ceviche was incredible, and my friends also loved their burger and salmon plate!

Marla P.

Yelp
OMG I continue to love this place! My "bad apple" cocktail set the tone it was really dreamy - hope I can recreate it!. Then we shared outstanding halibut ceviche, delicious pork belly tacos, garlic fries to die for, and topped it off with perfect little key lime pie. This shared dinner (plus a stout) fed two of us. $110. Service perfect. Ambiance outside by the fireplace, with nice heaters, feels very Mediterranean to us!

Arial N.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, and the outside seating is very comfortable. They have heaters and a great menu. I usually get the Carribean Fish Stew or the crusted halibut. So good!

Heidi G.

Yelp
I took my Dad to lunch yesterday and we had the best time! The restaurant was gorgeous, decorated with its holiday cheer. The food, as always was beyond amazing. We had the Alaskan halibut daily special, which did not disappoint. The halibut was cooked to perfection and the sauce was out of this world. But my favorite thing we had was the flan for dessert. It is hands-down the best flan I have ever had in my life. The only thing that outdid the food was the service. Our server Mia went above and beyond anticipating our needs, but not only that she was charismatic and really enjoyable to chat with. I've been in the restaurant industry for 20+ years, most recently as a GM and Regional Manager, and I have to say she is one of the best servers I have come across. She really made my lunch date with my Dad extra special. Just wanted to give her a shout out this holiday season.

Lorena L.

Yelp
My apologies. I reviewed the correct restaurant name, but wrong location. The negative review was meant for Rumfish in Placencia, Belize.

Ella K.

Yelp
This place was so delicious! A bit expensive, so definitely save it for a fancy night out, but everyone I was with cleared their plate! I got the habanero apricot flatbread with no bacon and it was very delicious. My mom got the beet salad and cauliflower super - she loved. And the other two in our party got the lasagne and chicken, which they said was really good. All the food here is a hit, the ambiance is super cute, and the service is PHENOMENAL! So kind and so sweet. Love this place!!

Gino T.

Yelp
We met friends for dinner before Snow on Main Street and had the pleasure of dining at Rumfish and what a surprise. It was our first time there and I was impressed with all aspects of the establishment. We were a large party and our server was on her game. Drinks were excellent and the menu offers many decadent dishes. Small nibbles to good sized entrees. Our food came out fairly quickly due to the restaurant being packed and busy. The coconut shrimp was very popular and delicious, various salads were hits and very tasty, the flatbreads were good as well. Many ordered the tacos which were delicious as well, great atmosphere for outdoor dining with plenty of heaters to keep you toasty and warm as you enjoy your dining experience. Don't miss out on this place, I plan to visit again for brunch or dinner to explore and try more of their flavorful dishes. Bon appetito!

Tam W.

Yelp
Came here last night & sat at the bar. Upon arrival the service was nice, not stellar, but I know after Covid it's hard to find good help. The owner is always present and very kind. Food was good. We had tacos, ceviche, and I've had the quinoa salad w salmon. I'll def be back. It's off Main Street w a cute wine tasting and industrial size boutique next door.

Lorena T.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my friend's bday lunch. We ordered the popular Wagyu burger medium rare and it came out too rare. Had our server take it back to the kitchen to get it to medium which was delicious. We had to ask for ketchup bc it doesn't automatically come with it. We chose the side of crispy plantain chips which were good! The $36 halibut salad was a little disappointing for the price. The small piece of halibut was a tad overcooked. Salad could've been tastier. A comped dish of vanilla ice cream with candle for the bday girl was a nice gesture from the restaurant. The hostess and server Anthony were hospitable and friendly. Place was busy. Casual outdoor seating.

Reta B.

Yelp
I came here twice once with my husband and his staff for Christmas party and another time for a dinner with a company. I am so impressed with the food. I absolutely love it. taste is amazing, service is outstanding, and ambiance is wow. I have tried few things, coconut flan was so good. I had their Creole Seabass and it was good. the second time I had their seabass again and it just as good. I would definitely return here. I love the food here

Josephine G.

Yelp
Took my husband here for Father's Day and he ordered fish tacos and I ordered Yucatán Benedict. I love the Benedict- it was different and good. Those tiny potato chips are yummy. My husband love his fish tacos and he loved it so much that he ordered another plate. The resto is huge - has a lot of seating capacity outside. Service was fast. I took a star off because (1) they seated us to where there's already people sitting on the tables next to us . We are in between those 2 tables when in fact, there's a lot of empty tables. It would have been nice if they spread us around so that we can have a decent conversation. We really have to talk louder so we can hear each other. (2) the hostess was talking to some coworkers when we walked in. When we approached, the coworkers started leaving. It would have been nice if they welcomed us but I guess that's too much to ask.

Gabe D.

Yelp
Just came for a quick bite before dinner and the ambiance was perfect for a Monday night. It was one of the only busy restaurants in Ventura. I tried the fish taco and it was delicious and fresh. I would try the pork taco next time. Thank you rum fish.

Leonie M.

Yelp
Fabulous food and nice ambiance. We were looking for a nice date spot since we were in town for our anniversary. Since it was Monday, a lot of places were closed. But we found Rumfish and I'm so glad we did. Cute patio (with heaters), white lights, music and service was excellent. I'm writing a review specifically so I'll remember this place next time we are in town.

Debra L.

Yelp
Food was 4 star! 2 out of 4 meals amazing, the other 2 just ok and great key lime pie and pot de crème! Good service, heaters make outside a great option

Ali A.

Yelp
Very cool place with an intriguing menu. Original cocktails too! Service was near flawless. We're not locals but would absolutely return next time we are in ventura!

Marissa M.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and thought it was a very cute restaurant, but prices a little high if you're getting more than just an entree. I tried the watermelon mojito which was pretty good but seemed light on rum and heavier on soda water but was very refreshing. For lunch I got the flatbread which I liked but didn't love. It had a really heavy jam and onion flavor, which I usually love but it slightly overpowered the other flavors. I wish it had some sort of goat cheese or something of the sorts to match the jam, as it mainly tasted of jam and onion and not the arugula and bacon. It was good however and I had some for leftovers. The server was attentive and often came over to ask if we needed anything which we really appreciated. I loved the mainly outdoor seating and the style of the restaurant is very modern and pretty. I would def come back and try something new as the whole menu sounded delicious.

Yelp
I came with a group of people to celebrate my cousins birthday We we're seated right away when we arrived and not everyone in the group had arrived yet . The waiter Chris was great ! He took our orders and got our drinks and food out pretty quickly . He checked on us several times too which was nice . The menu has something for everyone's tastebuds while it's primarily a Caribbean flare . There is seafood , salads , stews , a vegetarian dish . The atmosphere is very casual I love sitting outdoors with an inside feel . They have a great happy hour menu from 3pm to 5pm and good alcoholic drinks . The food was all delicious I will definitely come back . There is a parking lot for free parking at the end of the street or you can park on the street with paid meter parking . Great location! It's around the corner from the strip so you can take a walk after eating .

Yelp
One of my neighbors recommended this place. She knows my taste and thinks I will love the restaurant so I tried with my female friend for lunch. Actually I love the ambiance! It's very cute restaurant. I like the interior of inside and nice outdoor patio. The trees and cute umbrellas...it's very peaceful ambiance. Service was great. The waiter was nice and friendly. But I'm sorry to say this....I think food taste ok. I ordered Crispy chicken sandwich and the chicken was very crispy as described and it was ok but maybe I won't order it again. I would like to try salad next time. No parking for the restaurant but there are many street parking. We parked a car at the public parking and walked on the Main Street.
