Too expensive place. If you want to burn a big hole in your pocket or would like to impress someone you can surely give it a try. Here you can experience the authenticity of food prepared by them. If you like spice then this place is certainly not for you. With a typical Indian taste bud I couldn’t enjoy this place and with price tag in mind the food may not taste that great 😆

An overdue review from my visit over the summer. Still thinking about one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Aside from the food being an absolute 10/10 I was extremely impressed by the hospitality and service at this restaurant. We had a reservation on a Saturday night and the place was jammed packed with a line outside. We got seated within 15 minutes and that is when I noticed how well staffed the place was. From the host stand to the severs to the bar backs. This was one well managed spot. Our server Karen was an absolute delight which made our meal that much more memorable.

Art is a reflection of a country’s civilization and culture, and in my opinion, a great dish can be a delicious form of art crafted by a skilled chef in a restaurant with excellent management and polite, friendly staff. I found this experience at Rumi Restaurant, and I hope you visit it and enjoy it as much as I did. This restaurant has the potential to earn a Michelin star!

While visiting from Austin, Texas, we had the pleasure of dining at Rumi’s Kitchen, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a perfect balance of modern elegance and comfort. The staff welcomed us with genuine hospitality, and the service throughout our meal was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. We began our evening with a glass of cuvée, which set the tone for the rest of the night. The first dish we tried was their famous salmon hummus, a delightful combination of creamy and savory flavors that I still can't stop thinking about. Next, we sampled both the chicken and beef kabobs. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender with beautifully charred edges. The portion sizes were impressive, easily shareable among the two of us, which made the family-style dining experience even more enjoyable. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the preparation of each dish. The Avalon area where Rumi's is located is stunning as well, adding to the overall experience. It's a place I would love to return to, not just for the food but for the entire vibe of the location. I only wish we had a Rumi’s Kitchen in Austin! Until then, I'll be looking forward to visiting their Houston location. In short, Rumi’s Kitchen offers a dining experience that’s nothing short of extraordinary, from the ambiance to the food and service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal!

Persian food is hands down some of the most unique food in America. It's not commonly found even in big cities. If you have a chance to dine at one, please do. The last time I had Persian food was in Chicago decades ago! First, the hummus, bread, and a plate of greens, radish, walnuts, and feta arrived. Very healthy and pleasant. Next, the hummus and I'm going to argue theirs is some of the best. We ordered the mushroom hummus; sauteed mushrooms layer on top of the hummus. I ordered falafel because I have tried to make this at home and failed miserably. It was delicious and paired very well with the hummus as well as the pickled beets. We also tried the cauliflower and it was delicious. The rice really surprised me. It was a sour cherry rice and nothing like anything I have ever had- and I'm a regular at all of the Indian restaurants in my city. But, the employees were delightful. These were just very good, warm hearted, friendly people. Our waitress was excellent. She has a good soul. So overall, this restaurant is top tier in every way. I loved eating outside too!

I visited this place with my friends. It was a great experience ,the place was nice the foods were good and good portions. We tried little bit of everything almost. I'll definitely go back again and the waitress was Hannah she was nice and knowledgeable about the food since it was our first time there.

If you're looking for an unforgettable Mediterranean dining experience, look no further than Rumis Kitchen at Avalon in Alpharetta! From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere, beautiful decor, charming patio, stunning bar and attentive service set the tone for a perfect evening. The salmon was cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and paired with just the right blend of spices and sides. The chicken kebabs, lamb kebabs and veggie kebabs all hit the spot. Each dish we tried was showcasing fresh ingredients and authentic Mediterranean flavors. For appetizers we enjoy the hummus and Mirza. The desserts - Every single one was divine! From delicate baklava with ice cream to strawberry cake and other treats, we couldn't get enough. Each bite was a sweet escape, making it impossible to choose a favorite. Whether you're craving fresh seafood, traditional dishes, or indulgent desserts, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine!

I wanted to try Rumi’s Kitchen in Avalon for dinner. Since I made a reservation for 7 PM in advance, we were seated without waiting; otherwise, you’d wait at least an hour. The place was very crowded and lively. I liked the design and ambiance, but the open kitchen’s chaos and the crowd were visually overwhelming. Our server seemed a bit burnt out, as if the design between the restaurant and kitchen wasn’t efficiently planned. As for the food, everything was delicious. For starters, we had Mirza Ghasemi—smoked eggplant, tomato, and garlic—which paired beautifully with their warm pita bread. The Shirazi Salad was also very fresh and tasty. The Chicken Kabobs were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was amazing. However, I can’t say the same for the rice, which was very dry and bland. I recommend eating the grilled tomatoes as well—they were incredibly flavorful. For dessert, we ordered baklava, but they serve it with a spoon. A fork is a must—who eats baklava with a spoon? Sure, a spoon makes sense for the ice cream, but a fork is essential for the baklava. Given how busy the server was, if we’d asked for a fork, the ice cream would have melted by the time they brought it. I tried the Spice Mist cocktail, and it was a 10/10. If you like spicy drinks, I definitely recommend it. Maybe next time, I’ll revisit just to have a drink at the bar. I recommend Rumi’s Kitchen, but it felt a bit overhyped to me. The prices, naturally, are high with this much attention.

Yelp
We ran a little late but they still reserved our table. From entering the restaurant with smiling hosts to the awesome service and food I would definitely recommend Rumi's Kitchen. No fancy cold plated foods made with tweezers! Just good portioned delicious food. We started off with lamb hummus and their shrimp appetizers. Both were delicious. They also give us a small plate of feta, walnuts, mint, olives, etc and some pita bread. Also delicious. The entrees were excellent. We ordered Seabass and Shish Kabob. So good! But for the overall experience we give it a 10/10 because of the service. Our server Irving was one of the best! Very helpful with menu selections. Made my wife's birthday a great meal.

Yelp
We enjoyed every aspect of our anniversary dinner this past Tuesday, and I cannot rave enough about the incredible experience! Despite it being a surprisingly busy night, the staff handled everything with grace and efficiency. We chose to sit at the bar, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. The bartender was an absolute rockstar--attentive, friendly, and skilled. They made excellent drink recommendations and mixed some of the best cocktails we've ever had. The food was phenomenal! It was not my first visit and every dish I've had has been beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell the kitchen team puts a lot of thought and care into creating each plate. I know the chicken should be the star, but wow that rice is amazing!! What stood out most was how the bustling atmosphere only added to the charm of the evening. It's clear this restaurant is well-loved, and it's no surprise why! The energy was lively but still comfortable, and the team never missed a beat. I would recommend Rumi's in Avalon for amazing food, top-notch service, and a vibrant or a private dining experience!

Yelp
Food is great! Service is great! The ambiance is loud but has a really chic vibe. Nice tables and settings, fancy decor, and they have a "private" room for parties- it's really just the back of the restaurant. You (generally speaking) need a reservation. However, if you have a small group (1-4) you might be able to get a table on a walk-in. It's ALWAYS best to make a reservation here though. They have $2 valet parking and heaters beside a couple of couches outside so that while you await them bringing your car back to the entrance, you can be comfortable. My mom got a chicken dish- really good. It was all in the bone, but the chicken was tender and had a ton of flavor. I had the Lamb Kubideh- perfectly cooked to a medium rare- so juicy! My sister got the beef skewers and my mom's boyfriend got the chicken skewers. Everything was delicious! The meats were juicy, tender, perfectly cooked, and all were served with perfectly steamed basmati rice (some with saffron some white- I requested all saffron). Since we also had the falafel and humasiya starters with pita bread, not a single one I'd use could finish our meals. We all took a second (leftover) meal home and everyone reported that the leftovers were fantastic too. My mom said that the chicken, which I de-boned for her, was maybe even better than when it came out originally. ‍ I figure that's on account of it being de-boned. I had a first date here once that earned me a second date. This place is great. Love Rumi's and hope that they always stick around! Only downside is that they are expensive. 4 people cost $200- 2 starters, 4 meals, 1 coffee.

Yelp
Hit up this place for a work dinner and "oh man" it was a good choice. Food and drinks were incredible! Vibe is super cool. Staff is very nice. I will most definitely be back when in town next time. 5/5 hands down!

Yelp
Rumi at Avalon is absolutely amazing!! we just checked into the hotel nearby and we decided to go there for lunch and a few hours later we were hungry for dinner and we decided to go back because it was so delicious and the service was fabulous! Can't wait to go back or check out another location in another city

Yelp
Been here twice now... ambience is vibey, service is solid, cocktails and food are decent. My favorite dishes here are the lamb sausage hummus and the sea bass entree. Definitely try the orange pistachio rice if you can - very unique! The Kunefe dessert was pretty solid too. The chicken kebabs though were a tad disappointing.

Charlis F.

Yelp
I think I just don't like Avalon that much. Ungodly crowded no matter the time of day. Good food. Not enough space, way too cramped. We were basically sitting on top of people. I mean, do not go here if you're the least bit claustrophobic. Anyway, on to the food. The lamb hummus was delicious. My boyfriend got some type of stew and seemed to really enjoy it. The lebne with charred tomatoes was excellent and my favorite dish of the night. The crème brûlée was a horror show. Not crème brûlée at all, more like cinnamon pudding with burnt sugar on top. Drinks were ok, albeit weak.

Yelp
I think it's official: Rumi's Kitchen is now my go-to spot for the perfect weekend dining experience! Seriously, where do I even begin? The entire meal was incredible, and it started with the atmosphere. I arrived just after the midday rush, which allowed me to enjoy a calm, relaxing environment at one of their cozy high-top tables. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed right from the start. They brought out some warm pita bread and a fresh salad as a starter, which set the tone for the meal. The pita was perfectly soft, and the salad was vibrant and refreshing, with just the right balance of flavors. I knew I wanted to branch out from my usual order and try something different this time, so I opted for the vegetable kabob--and wow, what a great choice! The kabob was packed with a variety of colorful, plump veggies, each grilled to perfection. The flavors were bold, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. The vegetables practically burst with each bite, bringing a medley of smoky, earthy, and subtly spiced notes. Paired with the saffron rice, which was fluffy and infused with a rich, aromatic flavor, it was a perfect match. Despite feeling fully satisfied after the kabob, I saved just enough room to explore the dessert menu. The white chocolate cake immediately caught my eye; it sounded absolutely divine, and I just couldn't resist. Let me tell you, it was the best decision of the day. The cake was rich yet light, with a smooth, velvety texture and just the right amount of sweetness. It was beautifully presented, and each bite melted in my mouth, leaving a lingering hint of white chocolate. It was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. All in all, Rumi's Kitchen has officially become my favorite weekend spot. The combination of exceptional food, warm ambiance, and top-notch service makes it hard to beat. I already can't wait to come back next week and explore more of their amazing dishes! #ashsaidit

Yelp
Rumi's kitchen was amazing. The food, service and ambiance was excellent! We ordered the shish, lamb and salmon kabob along with hummus as an appetizer. Drinks were also very good. Great cocktails and wine selection. 10/10. No notes. Great staff!

Melody W.

Yelp
Food - delicious and savory, wish they gave more meat portions Service - our waiter kept spilling water every time he would refill our drinks cause he held it in a weird way. It made me feel very uneasy that it would slip from his hands and cause a big mess. Ambiance - beautiful interior, felt very lively and grand

Sumi K.

Yelp
Decent food, super busy -- be prepared to wait even with a reservation. I thought the menu was pretty standard to other middle eastern restaurants. I personally didn't like the ratio of rice to meat when I got the chicken kebab (it was a mound of rice with a few pieces of chicken). Also, if you're a vegetarian/vegan I would skip this place. The only option is grilled vegetables with not much seasoning and a mound of rice. It didn't feel super worth the price and wait time for me, but the mushroom hummus was good!

Alexa F.

Yelp
One of the best experiences dining out that I've had in a long time! From the moment we checked in for our reservation all the way to dessert, everything was perfection from service, quality, and taste! Shoutout to our server, Daisy, who was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, the table was cleared and cleaned between courses, and she explained all do the dishes in detail. We started with the watermelon salad and the green tahini hummus and they were both 10/10. The watermelon salad was beyond fresh and came with crushed cucumber, charred shallot, goat feta cheese, herbs, jalapeno feta creme, and a lemon-tarragon vinaigrette. The hummus was also so fresh and came with house-made pita for dipping. For my main dish, I went with the chicken kabob and it was cooked to perfection - citrus & saffron brined served with a saffron basmati rice. We also shared the grilled vegetables with pineapple, squash, zucchini and mushroom. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate hazelnut torte and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. Sweet, nutty, and the perfect portion to end the night. The restaurant offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the aesthetic is just gorgeous from top to bottom. Highly recommend Rumi's next time you are looking for fantastic Persian cuisine!

Stuart S.

Yelp
Holy moley, what a place. I recommend EVERYone eat at this place at least once. Its an incredible menu of middle eastern cuisine at its finest. Smackdab in the middle of Alpharetta in Avalon. i could safely say that with the indoor and outdoor seating, this would be the best and busiest restaurant at Avalon.

Nilam S.

Yelp
I love coming to Rumi's Kitchen as their dishes are quality made and very fresh. The server Yoni was amazing and explained everything and gave recommendations. We got mezze dish as we were waiting for food and he explained how to eat the mezze on the bread which was really nice. I had ordered Tehran Mule, Sharbaat and Veggie Kabob with Bhagali Polo. Friends ordered Chicken Kabob and Chicken Barg and all dishes were divine. I couldn't stop eating them and I found my favorite drink: Tehran Mule which is made up Saffron, ginger, vodka and mint. The yellow in Bhagali Polo rice didn't taste like saffron was put in but colored with turmeric. For my friend's bday, we got baklava and persian ice cream which was delicious. My favorite was persian rice which had hints of cardamom! The only downside about this place is how loud it is so you can't hold a conversation.

Laks P.

Yelp
Amazing dining experience for my friend's birthday. We had a table of 9 and did a family style order of some different kabobs, cauliflower, and rice. My favorite was the lamb shank and look forward to trying that again. For my friend's bday they brought out 3 desserts including the chocolate torte, white chocolate cardamom cake, and baklava. That was easily the best baklava I've ever had. While everything was fantastic, I think my favorite part of the dinner was the service. Our glasses were kept filled with water constantly and the table was cleared and cleaned between courses. The food came out in a timely manner and our sever Robert was very attentive and present. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Ley S.

Yelp
I will start by saying I'm always one who says I'm not a big fan of Persian or Mediterranean cuisines, but this place may have changed my mind! Came in for lunch and had a great experience. We made reservations and were immediately seated. Even during the day, the ambiance was very open and had an upscale feel with the decor and open kitchen. They also have a super cute patio area outside if it's not too hot. Our waiter, Tyler?, was very personable and able to answer any questions about the menu since it was my first time in. For an appetizer, we had the grilled shrimp and split it between us. Though it only came with 2, it was enough to satisfy us until our food came. They were huge and chargrilled to perfection with a good season. The chicken barg was delicious! Mine was tender and flavorful. I'm usually a person that needs a bunch of sauces, especially for my proteins, but this was able to stand all on its own. My other guest said their chicken was drier than usual and the manager came and fixed it promptly with a new piece of chicken cooked how she liked it. Our waiter was kind enough to box our food for us. Looking at the menu, the prices are a little bit higher than casual dining but the portions are huge. That was enough for me to eat both lunch and dinner. I can't wait to come back 10/10

Jenna D.

Yelp
I've been here a few times, but this past time the service was chaotic, cold, and inattentive at best. We were seated on the patio on a very busy night. Drinks and appetizers took 30+ minutes to come out, and tables around us with another server were getting served before us despite being seated after. Our server got our order wrong and they brought us additional hummus plates. Despite us saying we didn't order them, they told us to just keep them but then they still ended up charging us for them in the end. We barely saw our server so we didn't even bother trying to get it corrected. We were there for 2+ hours in total. Roasted Mushroom Hummus was a nice way to start out the meal, and we were able to get cucumbers + tomatoes to enjoy it for those GF at our table. Falafel was served on more hummus and some beautiful pickled veggies. In addition to the plates pictured, we had the Chicken Joojeh and Shrimp Kabob. Chicken - OK, a bit more bland/dry than the last time I dined here. Shrimp - EXCELLENT, best part of the meal. Overall, the food is good, but I will never choose to come here over other popular local restaurants with similar menus that provide an overall better experience.

Yelp
My brother loves Rumi's but I found it just okay. It was super busy when we went here on a weekday. This is located inside Avalon so there's a lot of foot traffic. It's also very loud inside and difficult to hear your party across the table. Ambiance is nice with dim lighting. Server was accommodating. I found it very expensive here for what it is. I had a plate of shrimp and rice. It was $37 before tip/tax. It was just a few large shrimp and a large mound of rice. The shrimp had nice flavor but it was on the tougher side. It doesn't come with any vegetables besides a tomato so I ordered grilled vegetables on the side. I liked the flavor of the corn ribs appetizer. My family really liked their shish kebab and lamb kebab plates with rice. I think if you are okay with forking over a good amount of cash and like shish kebabs, you will like this place. It just personally wasn't my taste, especially for the price. Also for birthdays, the complimentary dessert is baklava with ice cream! I did like the dessert as it wasn't overly sweet.

Neha B.

Yelp
Rumi's is an old hometown favorite, but recently I have to keep it real. I've gone in with high expectations and reminiscing eating there when I was younger, but the food has just been bland recently. The atmosphere is still just as bustling, but the spices are lacking and the service is very chaotic. The servers are still great and attentive but almost felt like they were rushing us out, and every little thing had a surcharge, which if they had told us about beforehand, we would've passed on. That being said, the food is still pretty decent if you aren't looking for anything spicy. They definitely cater to ALL allergies and food preferences which I love. My go to is always the Chicken Barg and Fava Bean and Dill Rice!

Trent H.

Yelp
Overall good experience but there are a couple improvements Rumi's could make. I went with a group of 6 and we all shared the apps. They were all really great. Lots of flavor in everything. The ambience is top notch! The lighting is nice, beautiful paintings, and just put together well. For the main course I order the lamb rack and it was good. However, I order it medium and it came out WELL. It wasn't dry but it wasn't what I asked for. The rice is also very questionable. No one at the table had anything particularly good to see about it. The rice itself lacked seasoning but added things like lentils, and raisins to make up for the flavor. Tbh I think the rice is better at Cava. I also had their homemade mango soda that I liked. Service was great and they added at 20% gratuity to the bill automatically. I would definitely go back but wouldn't go too far out of my way to do so.

Jeanette S.

Yelp
First of all, the food here is delicious! We came on a Sunday around lunch time. We did not have a reservation and it was a busy day but they found a table and seated us within ten minutes anyways. We got our appetizers very quickly and they were so good we almost forgot to order food. We ended up using a lot of our silverware for the appetizers and our waitress took all of the dirty ones and replaced them with new ones. While she was replacing them she noticed that one of us was left handed and she moved his silverware to the left side. We all thought that was pretty awesome customer service. The restaurant was full and lively. All in all everything was so good and the portions were pretty big by the way. We ended up taking a lot of food home and it was great for extra meals. 10 out of 10 for me!

Jason W.

Yelp
Fumi is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. The one in Avalon is always busy. I can enjoy eating pita bread with hummus and other sauce for the entire meal. Their lamb and beef kabobs are delicious. The rice is flavorful and amazing. Our waitress was very professional and took great care of us.

Suzan H.

Yelp
The best ghormeh sabzi ever had anywhere. Highly recommend it over tahdig. Also ordered lamb shank with baghali polo. Not the best, very average. Excellent service by bartender as I had dinner at bar Sunday night.

Sandra P.

Yelp
We had a fantastic experience for our first time at Rumi's kitchen!! I have been wanting to try it for a while now on the advice of several friends and I'm so glad I finally got here. Major downside was due to its location in the Avalon shopping center, and the time of year being Christmas. It was next to impossible to find a parking spot! Normally, I don't mind walking, but it was so cold out last night. However, all that was forgotten once we got inside the ambience and decor was very nice. We got seated right away because I made a reservation two weeks prior for the four of us. We ordered family style and had plenty to share! Our waiter was so helpful and explaining everything since it was our first time, he helped us create a nice variety to try. Everything was fabulous from the appetizers, the entrées and the desserts. Also, the cocktails were very different and interesting. We will be back just at a less busy time of year.

Bob C.

Yelp
Great food in a good atmosphere! Definitely recommend. Even if you have never tried middle eastern food, there are plenty of great things to eat

Roshni P.

Yelp
One of Avalons most hit restaurant! This Persian/Lebanese restaurant is a gem. By looking at the restaurant you'll think "where do I sit?" But there is plenty of seating inside, as well as outside (they provide heaters outside in the cold). They usually take reservations but it fills up quick! You can even walk in, but you might have to wait. Luckily I walked in with 4 people and we only had to wait 10 mins for them to set up our table outside. The food is so good! The pictures don't do justice but honestly, from appetizers to main course. You will be satisfied. They also provide complimentary pita and a olive/walnut/arugula plate. They have a variety of options to choose from. Also, try their cocktails! They are so unique. If you have something to celebrate, this is the perfect spot! If you just want to go out for a fancy night, definitely try this place!

Michel S.

Yelp
I believe that this is one if not "THE ONE" best middle eastern foods available in Atlanta. Call me a liar! well, actually call me over foe dinner! because I know that I will enjoy it. I brought here a friend for dinner to celebrate her birthday . The hostess were very friendly and they kept my reservation even when I was 20 minutes late. THANK YOU! We were seated and we had a great waitress. Diana with an "A" at the end was phenomenal! Very friendly, very attentive and excellent customer service skills. We asked her for a few tips and/or suggestions and she knew what we were looking for. We both ordered the lamb shank and OH MY GOSH! It was delicious! They make their own bread and the humus, falafel are to fight for! Make sure you get the last bite! For dessert we had a creme brûlée and it was really good. What made it better it was the candle that Diana with an "A" at the end put on it. If you are looking to be pampered during your dining experience, this is your place! You are welcome! You can thank me later!

Cheri B.

Yelp
Food - Service - Ambience ... Exceptional! Portions of food are enormous and absolutely delicious!

Dennis P.

Yelp
My wife is middle eastern, and cooks that food quite well. Nevertheless, we were in the mood for that cuisine, and Rumi's kept coming up when we searched. It's located in a shopping area, and parking isn't easy, but it's worth it. Staff is very friendly, and professional. Atmosphere is busy, yet elegant. Now for the food: we started with falafel with torshi. Delicious, and done to perfection. Wife ordered shish kabob, and I ordered soltani kabobs, and a side of toshi. Both dishes came with saffron basmati rice, which was done better than any rice I've had,(and I've had alot). Both kabob dishes were full of flavor, and done perfectly as well. We finished our meal with Darjeeling crème brûlée. It was amazing. The entire meal was outstanding. I highly recommend Rumi's.

Ramsey P.

Yelp
Rumi's kitchen is a must for anyone interested in Persian / middle Easter cuisine. The place is located in a busy area and usually packed. Not a ton of space inside but they do have a decent amount of seating outside. Need to make a reservation in advance on most nights. Ordered the saffron chicken and it was excellent. The chicken was so juicy and had a ton of flavoring. Also had a few appetizers that were great, hummus, falafel and an eggplant type dish. Everything we ate there was so good. The tzatziki sauce they bring out is incredible and I wish I could purchase a gallon of it to bring home. The servers were all so nice and friendly, you can tell they really care about the place and have so much knowledge about the menu and history of the restaurant. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area and looking for a great bite to eat!

Yelp
Let's update because we went with the kids last night. It was a Tuesday night and we had to go to the Apple store, instead of Marlows or the usual we wanted to try something new so we took the kids to Rumis Walked and got a patio table at 6:00pm on a Tuesday night. The review is to show what somewhat adventurous kids but still pretty picky will eat a Rumis (mine anyway) We got a salad and corn ribs for them. They had some of my barg and rice. Surprisingly they ate a lot!!!!!

Food and service is outstanding. We sat outside because the restaurant was too hot . Lamb , sea bass and chicken bar are all phenomenal. Portions are very large, this is an outstanding value. I haven't had food or service this good in a long time.

Yelp
There is a reason this place is always slammed! It's so good, I find myself craving it all the time. We went to Rumi's for date night and got the Chilean sea bass. It was cooked to buttery perfection! I got the Abaloo rice (pink with cherries) and I know it may sound like an odd combination, but it was a great pairing! The cocktails are nice too. I chose one with jalapeños and it was refreshing and slightly spicy. Our server was attentive, friendly, and always there to refill drinks. We will be back again and again!

Yelp
After falling in love with DC's Rumi's Kitchen, I was unbelievably excited to find another location in Avalon when I visited Alpharetta. We ordered a healthy portion of their appetizers / tastes and entrees / feasts, and I would happily order every single item again -- each one was near perfection. We started the meal with a smattering of their small plates -- my favorite was absolutely the roasted mushroom hummus, which was delightfully rich and creamy but had a wonderful umami kick from the roasted mushrooms and a slight crunch from the pine nuts. It was also the perfect dip for the lemony, herby, roasted cauliflower, the perfectly crispy falafel, or the perfectly grilled shrimp. I'm genuinely obsessed with their corn ribs -- it was so fun to crunch into the corn, and the sweet kernels perfectly contrasted against the savory, lightly spicy jalapeno butter and black seed dukkah. For a bit of lighter fare, the shirazi salad and spinach / date salad were both phenomenal -- the shirazi salad's lemon vinaigrette was a great balance of acidic and slightly sweet, and the spinach and date salad had a wonderful touch of sweetness from the date dressing. We were feeling quite full from all the amazing starters, but we still had to check out their feasts! The server highly recommended the Chilean sea bass, and I'm so happy that we listened to her -- it was super flakey and buttery, and was honestly one of the best, most fall-apart-in-your-mouth bites of fish I've ever had in my life. It went wonderfully with the saffron and onion, and also had a light char on the outside that was the perfect balance against the soft, tender inner flesh. We also ordered a few of their vegetable kabobs, which were delightfully roasted and had a fantastic char, with a great smoky flavor that you can really only get from a live fire. The rest of the table also enjoyed a variety of meat dishes, including the lamb shank, shish kabob, and lamb rack, about which they all had nothing but amazing things to say! Rumi's Kitchen -- whether in DC, Atlanta, or Houston -- has solidified itself as one of my favorite Persian restaurants, with its incredible cooking, phenomenal service, and upbeat, energetic vibes. And the Alpharetta location is no different -- truly can't recommend giving them a try enough!

Yelp
First time I had this it was love at first bite. The food and atmosphere is just a ten out of ten. The servers are incredible and cater to your every need. The food may be pricey, but it's worth it. I recommend you try it out.

Yelp
Have been meaning to try this restaurant and finally went with some friends recently. Food was ok, but pricy and slower-than-expected service. Good location if you like Avalon.

Yelp
First of all - the space is beautiful. High ceilings, an array of different sized eating areas (including an outdoor space). Inside - diners have an easy view to the open kitchen / chefs cooking over open flame. Sharply dressed service staff pamper you from the moment you are seated - excellent attentive staff. Menu: good balance of Persian delicacies ( we were there at lunch, I imagine an evening menu would be even more extensive. We ordered several starters - all were fresh / plentiful and delicious. We were a party of 22 / so I'm sure we ordered almost all of the entree selection ( from what they call the "feast" section on the menu). There were three pages of what looks like an amazing wine selection (we were on business lunch so we did not order wine). I had the salmon - three large grilled portions of succulent salmon, served with a dill rice that was incredible. I live in PA so I will dream of this Avalon Village hot spot - and will definitely be back whenever I am back in Alpharetta

Yelp
I have been several times for over 7 years ,but didn't right a review. Rumi's is consistent in quality food and service.First time coming on Saturday night in a long while. It was busy but service was not compromised. I typically get the salmon or chicken kabobs and shirin rice add in the tomatoes and spice. I had an expresso martini for my cocktail and it was perfect.

Yelp
I came w a party of three, and I ordered the mirza ghasemi (smoked eggplant), lamb kabob, and white chocolate cardamom cake - TASTE: 5/5 - I've had Persian food a few times before, and it's always been excellent. Loved the smoked eggplant w tomato and garlic. My lamb sirloin was tasty, and the cardamom-strawberry pairing of the cake was a perfect ending TEXTURE: 5/5 - the smoked eggplant was thick and creamy, the lamb was tender, the lentils and raisins added nice contrast to the rice plus the side of roasted tomato, and creamy sarshir ice cream topped the cake PRICE: 4/5 - totally reasonable prices on the menu given the quality of the meal SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - was completely stuffed by the end SERVICE: 4/5 - originally walked in at 6:30pm on a Tuesday and witnessed how packed the place was. We made a reservation for 6:30pm the next day instead. Our waitress was helpful and the service wasn't too slow ATMOSPHERE: 5/5 - a classy and bustling space w large, lush plants. Appreciate the opportunity to celebrate Iranian food PARKING: 5/5 - plenty of parking at Avalon

Yelp
My girls visited here around 4pm and many things went wrong. 1. The wait times, they spent around 3 hours at that restaurant, only around thirty minutes were spent for eating. 2. The waiter, said she wasn't able to split checks, when in the past they were always able to. But then continued to split it but did it completely wrong twice!! After asking to get it fixed she gave attitude. 3. The atmosphere was so negative as my girls and her friends were getting dirty looks by the servers, and over heard Sammy P. their main server saying that their part was ridiculous when she couldn't split it!!! 4. The Hostess in the front, blonde, young, and RUDE. When asked for the manager she lied who it was, and laughed in their faces. A man with facial hair, tall, with black hair was the one that was so called the "manager" By the time the REAL manager was at their table, multiple servers ruined what could have been a happy and enjoyable birthday expeirience.

Yelp
One day my family and I were very hungry walking around Avalon and saw a "Rumi's Kitchen" and went in and were sat down immediately. We had no clue what to expect but our waiter, who is actually Persian himself, set us up with the most amazing food we have ever tasted. I got the chicken barg with the shirin rice and it has easily become my favorite meal and restaurant. It's unique and unlike anything I've ever tasted in the most amazing way ever. The atmosphere is also so cool and exposes you to another culture and cuisine that enthralls you to want more. I loved it and we have gone back several times because the service, food, and ambiance are all so amazing, and they always go above and beyond to please each customer.

Yelp
The mirza ghasemi is my favorite appetizer, it's a smoked eggplant that is incredible. Every out of town guest I bring here and share this dish with them, they say it's the best they've had!! The Chilean sea bass is always our favorite main dish, and I get the sumac spice to go on top. You won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
Nice spot for a Persian meal. The staff is super friendly and helpful if you are not familiar with Persian cuisine. They have a comprehensive drink menu with some house creations. The Lebneh appetizer was great with warm Syrian bread. I had the chicken barg which was seasoned beautifully and so tender. Get the Rumi yogurt as a side for your meat. Your taste buds will thank you. Beware the only parking offered is valet but they do take credit cards for it.

Yelp
We decided to sit outside for a nice ambiance because the inside was too cold and too loud for us. Service: on point Food: Starters: - grilled shrimp appetizer - yogurt duo - roasted mushroom hummusiya - falafel - shirazi salad Entree: - chicken barg - shrimp kabob - chinjeh Lubia polo Everything was so amazing!!! All of entrees are large portioned so you can expect to share or order less so it doesn't go to waste.

Yelp
Food was soo delicious! I will be back sooner rather than later. Service was great and waitress was knowledgeable.

Yelp
The best Persian place I have ever been to. We were a group of 7 people and ordered a great variety of appetizers. Everything was unique and delicious. We ordered lamb kebabs and fish for main course and everything was on-point. Absolutely lovely and will try to go back if I ever get a chance. The service was really great. I remember we tipped the waiter on the final check and he came back with the check to point out that there was a 20% gratuity that was already charged on the final bill and he just wanted to double confirm if we have not seen that. Very impressive.

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner at Rumi's kitchen tonight and sat at an outdoor table. The ambiance was amazing with the perfect crisp evening and the table heaters with Avalon as the backdrop. The service was impeccable! Every recommendation was spot on and the attention to detail by our server, Bella H., was amazing! The food was over the top good. We began with the hummus and pita bread and it was so fresh! I had the lamb rack with rice with raisins. I was uncertain about the rice but now I can't imagine rice any other way. My wife had chicken kabobs that were amazing as well! Highly recommend Rumi's!

Yelp
Food- Always good, tempted properly and timely delivery (kudos to the kitchen staff). My favorite dish is the sea bass, with a filet kabob in the side and extra chilli chutney. The salmon is also very tasty. Service- Devin and Victor are the best bartenders. Very attentive and knowledgeable of the entire menu. They can describe flavors and textures in dishes, which is a huge plus! They are both very welcoming and make the experience that much more enjoyable. Ambiance- Clean and comfortable. I appreciate how quickly the bar staff clears away discarded dishes. They don't have issues with fruit flies like some other neighboring spots in Avalon. The bathrooms are ALWAYS clean so I get to take selfies I really like the soap they use, it doesn't dry out my hands.
