Best dang shuffleboard in Portland!! The Rumpus Room in Portland is a quintessential dive bar with a few unexpected twists. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, and the bar is home to two full-size shuffleboard tables that are kept in great condition. But what really sets the Rumpus Room apart is the surprisingly good Asian-inspired food Dive bar food. And for those who like a little extra excitement with their drinks, the bar also has a few slot machines. Overall, the Rumpus Room is a fun and unique spot to grab a drink and some delicious eats.

Welcoming back to the past immediately with that cozy familiar rare environment I crave! These shuffle boards are works of art;) Throw back half moon leather booths and the owner is a magical kind Spirit who is diamond in the rough!!! Fun talking with these 2 long time shuffle boarders!!

First time at the bar, it’s amazing! The bartender/owner is amazing! I mentioned the Bulgogi and kimchi tacos and she gave us one! Delicious, surprising, highly recommend!

They have shuffleboard which is pretty cool! Their dinks are nice, and the deep fried food is actually really impressive! 🤙🏼

Great place! But bartender Justine tried to rip me off 6$ more on a single beer. She thought I was rude by mentioning that I wasn't with the party in front of me who started talking to me before but refused to ask to make sure. Called me rude and then double charged me for a single beer my first visit there ever. Wish she would have been more transparent!

The owner asked me to buy her a drink. The bartender never poured her the drink and she left but I still got charged for it.

I have been to this bar before and it was average at best, only came for the shuffle board. I returned last night and ordered a margarita which I thought had seeds in it from the limes.... I was wrong. I drank fruit flies, but I didn't notice until I had ordered a second drink I was shocked the bartender didn't notice that both drinks had flies floating in them. When notified about the flies she didn't even dump or check all the bottles / ingredients ‍ Beware!!!! I have been sick all day.

This review is specifically for the jazzy blues jam on April 5, 2018 with the amazing bassist Jonathan Drechsler from Nu Shooz. The band and lead singer were all professionals and it was a shame that the place wasn't packed. The rock band that came afterward featured a Janis Joplin singer who was very good, but the band and lead singer who looked wasted went on and on with a tired jam drowning out "Janis Joplin's" voice and also pretty quickly her spirit. The bar itself looks like a vintage restaurant with circular booths around tables with added shuffle boards, big long bar with stools, somewhat eclectic seedy dive bar. Bartender was busy but friendly. Would be back to see the jazzy blues band again and maybe the karaoke. To the owner, please advertise events. If you need signage, contact me! 5 stars to "Jonathan Drechsler, bassist", band and lead singer.

First time here, easy to get to off 205 from vantucky. Lots to do here..shuffle board and video poker..the sign outside says it all "365" I like that schedule! That's a working people place. Great staff and kudos they have Patron in the cooler. Good selection of drinks and although I have not sampled the food yet tonight, I asked another patron if they liked their chicken straps and fries..all I got was "good". The guy had a mouthful to his credit. I will reserve decisions on food until I try for myself..but great atmosphere and great vibe here!

The bartender Jared was awesome! He very social and made sure everyone was having a good time and there was nothing but good vibes. I'll definitely be back.

Just bought a house in the area. The bar staff & owner are so kind! Love the dive feeling, im excited to see all the changes to come. Wish they could get the facebook page up an running so i can check in!!!

I wish I could review 0 stars for this place. IF YOU ARE IN A BAND DO NOT PLAY HERE!! They didn't pay us after we played here twice and the owner hung up on me when I called to resolve the issue. The owner is really hard to work with and disrespectful to employees and hired artists. I feel so bad for the bartenders because they have to work under a clearly manipulative employer. She refused to pay us and said it was this poor 21 year old bartenders fault and said he might have to take it out of his pay to comp us ... Which I'm fairly sure is illegal. She also didn't pay the band we were set to perform with because their set was cut short due to a power outage. So I have a feeling this is a pretty normal thing for them to take advantage of their musicians. You do not want to get involved in this bullshit, seriously.

This place looks to be improved since the smoking ban took place. Sure this not a great place to meet people and such but the drinks are pretty good. Rum and coke comes in a big glass, not a puny size. They have a shuffleboard table which is always fun play with friends. It is certainly an older crowd and regulars joint. One of my best friend's brother comes in here once a week since he's a regular and always get the best deals. Consider it a good place to start before heading to the clubs or other places.

Went for the Karaoke but wait- people bring instruments and impromptu jams take place. Some very talented folks here! I was hoping for more stupid and spontaneousness as everyone just sounded too damn good. Older folks, a number of video lotto type machines and people playing them. Nice and friendly bartender. Inexpensive drinks. Nice taste of Portland talent.

I found Rumpus Room on Yelp because I wanted to play shuffleboard. This place has excellent shuffleboards that are the stars of the bar. On the day I went in there was a group of seniors playing a tournament and enjoying brewskies. They have a jukebox with a big selection of songs. The beers are well priced at 4.50 for microbrews. Shuffleboard games are $1.25 per game. They take your ID when you reserve a shuffleboard table. Do not forget to get your ID back when you leave! I did. When I returned on a different night the shuffleboards were not in use and there was a biker gang hanging out in there and it had a less comfortable vibe for my tastes.

I have driven by here a bit. Some of the lights are out so it looks like the Ru Us Room. The inside is quite nice compared to the outside. Well kept and well lit, but not overly so. The bartender was a little bitchy at first but was pleasant when we were leaving. Drinks were fine, lots of regulars. It did smell, like burning pie crust almost. I can't put my finger on that damn smell.......................................

Old school dive bar with awesome drinks for cheap. Surprisingly clean inside. The bartender Sean is the man. He likes it when woman ask him for a "LumberJack." Story cracks me up. I would definitely come back here again. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Although, the owner or manager of this place needs to step up their game on the exterior of the building. The lights on the "Rumpus Room" are half non lit and if you are coming from i205 west to east you don't even know the bar is there. Owner please step it up in the exterior of the building and business would be MUCH BETTER!

dive bar, clean, shuffleboards (2) ole'school booths little spendy i thought, 2.75 Rolling Rock Tall Boy. duck's stuff everywhere good juke or whereever their music was feeding from nice energy, friendly patrons, restroom is nice. Love the name.

Its a nice chill little bar. close to my place, cheap drinks and chill people and cool bartenders.

Inexpensive menu, shuffleboard, pool and sports tv. Staff is always friendly! They remember me, even after 2 years of being Mia! And complimented me a shot. May be aesthetically displeasing (hole in wall) but the best damn hole in wall I have ever been to.
