Cinnamon Rolls With Chili Are Iconic at Midwest Schools and Restaurants - Eater
"In the last couple of decades it’s gotten increasingly easier to find a bowl and a roll outside of school cafeterias and home kitchens, including at Runza restaurants, a regional fast-food chain that offers the combination from October 1 through March 31 at its 85 locations in Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, and Iowa." - Anna Archibald

Watermelon lemonade refresher 5 the watermelon refresher was amazing!! Only thing better would be a slush in that flavor.
Fish sandwich 5 the fish sandwich was among the best I’ve had yet in fast food, very good! Bread was soft and fresh.
Service was friendly and fast, instead was very clean and pleasant

Easily some of the best fast food in Lawrence. Whenever I'm on that side of town I have to stop by for a savory Mushroom Swiss burger and those fantastic crinkle fries. The staff are always friendly. The renovation of the restaurant looks fantastic as well. Runza is an enjoyable place to have a meal.

I drove 75 miles round trip to have a Runza meal and it was WORTH IT! I even brought some frozen ones home for later. The people are friendly and the food was ready fast. The place is always clean. All factors will keep me coming back as I have for years.

Everything is very good. Right now, they have 1$ ice cream cones. They have chocolate, vanilla, and twist cones. All the food is good. My favorite is the mushroom and Swiss runza with frings and a shake. The frings are 1/2 French fries and 1/2 onion Rings. Dine in is pleasant as well.

Long time Lawrence staple. I know the name might sound strange, but the food is excellent. Friendly staff. Get the Regular Runza (a german bierock) and a combination of fries and onion rings called frings. Hamburgers also well made high quality. I personally like to add pepper to my runza sandwich’s.

I've always loved their runzas, they're just plain good. Our food was freshly made. Their associates have great attitudes, are pleasant, bordering on fun, and very attentive to your needs. However, if you're wanting frozen runzas to take home, you better arrive pretty early. They sell out quickly!

I’ve always loved Runza. But today a super nice drive-thru worker gave me a free cookie because I was crying. Made me feel not so hopeless.
