COVID-19 precautions:
Staff and customers wear face masks. There is complimentary hand sanitizer in the restaurant. People keep a physical distance.
Cute outdoor dining:
The outdoor dining setup is cute. There are lights and the seating is on high bar tables. While I did takeout for this round, I cannot wait to eat in-person here with the partner sometime in the future.
Renovated interior:
Formerly Navin Thai, Rural Ramen Bar has been renovating the interior (still a bit more to go inside). The restaurant is trendy, reminding me of ramen places in NYC.
Soft opening and more focus on takeout/delivery:
The restaurant is just opening. The employee I spoke to said the focus is more on takeout/delivery at the moment. I recommend you call ahead and ask about in-person dining before heading here to eat.
Quick takeout process:
The takeout process is quick. I placed my order over the phone and picked up my food in fifteen minutes.
Delivery via Ubereats, Grubhub, Seamless:
Do not want to leave your home for yummy food? No worries, Rural Ramen Bar delivers via Ubereats, Grubhub, and Seamless.
Friendly, attentive staff:
Rural Ramen Bar staff is friendly and attentive. From the moment I placed my order to when I left, I felt welcomed, which I greatly appreciate.
Cash and card payments:
Rural Ramen Bar accepts cash and card payments.
On the pricey side:
Rural Ramen Bar is on the pricey side. Appetizers are from $5-9 whereas dishes are from $14-$23 pre-tip.
Portions are comparable to those in the city:
The takeout portions are comparable in size to those in the city, neither too small nor too big.
Japanese and Thai selections:
Rural Ramen Bar has Japanese and Thai selections. From salads and rolls to ramen, noodles, and rice, Rural Ramen Bar has an option for all diets and palettes.
Tasty dishes:
I had the shrimp pad thai as my intro to Rural Ramen Bar. The dish was spicy as asked and a solid option. The noddles were steaming warm and the dish was nicely seasoned. There were several shrimps, tofu, and an egg, all of which were tasty and added to the dish without being too much. I cannot wait to make my way through the rest of menu of this new neighborhood restaurant. I encourage y'all to try!
