Russo Catering provided food for our daughter’s wedding celebration. Everything was wonderful and exactly as described. Dewitt and Sam served at our event. They were professional and very friendly and attentive to our guests. Aubrey handled our order and was also professional and knowledgeable. Many of our guests commented on how delicious the food was. I highly recommend Russo Catering for any catering needs.

We had Russo's cater our daughter's Graduation Party. We ordered the "In Home Party" package. Everything was delicious! There was something for everyone, and it was plentiful. Prices were reasonable, too. It was so nice to enjoy the party with a great variety of food and not have to do all of the cooking!

Russo's is always the best. This was my second experience with them, but this time they catered my daughter's baby shower at Public School House in Cottleville with brunch and I couldn't be happier. All the food was fantastic and Avery was very easy to work with leading up to the big day. Charlie provided top notch service day of with serving, keeping me updated and even packing up the leftovers to take home. Highly recommend Russo's Catering for any evernt.

My husband and I could not recommend Russo's enough! Usually wedding food is subpar but not Russo's. We received SO MANY compliments on the food at our wedding. I will seriously dream about their chicken spiedini. The cake was perfectly moist! If you want food that will actually impress your guests, Russo's is the way to go.

We enjoyed our food very much from Russo’s. The day-of service was great and they were able to accommodate our 115 guest plated dinner easily. The cake was delicious! We worked with Toni and had some times where we had to email multiple times to get an answer, but overall, she was easy to work with.

We booked Russo's as our catering for our daughters wedding at the Barnett on Washington. Oh My! We loved every aspects about the catering and the food. Courtney was just wonderful to work with. We had passed appetizers, a taco station, and a carved meat station. The wait staff was professional, wore masks, and served the food even though it was a buffet style. The food was simply outstanding. Everyone just raved.........not your typical boring wedding food. The best. They also made my daughters wedding cake. I come from a family of professional bakers and this cake was truly remarkable. Not only beautiful, but simply delicious. Thank you Russos for making our daughters wedding wonderful. A lovely night to remember.

Russo's Catering did a great job for our wedding at Piazza Messina. Emily was our event coordinator and she did an outstanding job! I did not have to worry about anything on my wedding day because Emily and the team did such a great job. Even though we had a large guest list, dinner was served efficiently and everyone was able to eat in a timely manner. We received many compliments on both the food and cake at our wedding. Everything was delicious!! The Russos and all the staff at Piazza Messina truly care about making your event amazing.

My organization recently held an event at the Missouri History Museum. We selected Russo's Catering to provide appetizers and desserts to our guests. With this being our first event, the director, Toni Callas, was so helpful in lending her expertise. The food was delicious, and Russo's staff was top-notch. I would highly recommend selecting Russo's Catering for your event or function. One added note: For years Russo's was selected by Ameren to provide packaged meals for the linemen during power outages. It was a simple meal of a great sandwich, chips, fruit and a cookie, You couldn't beat it.

We had a work conference and had Russo's for lunch. First the Italian salad was delicious. The sandwiches were a hit with our staff. And I especially like the condiments and serving utensils very helpful and thoughtful we will definitely order again.

My niece used them for her wedding and her cake was the best cake I've ever had! Would love to be able to have it made for our wedding anniversary. But have not been able to get any response for the request.

I recently needed a caterer for a Memorial dinner. I had been to events where Russo's catered so I knew what to expect. I was not let down. We had many options to choose from & the food was excellent. I want to compliment our servers the most. They were friendly, professional, & very easy to work with. I felt we were in good hands.

I experienced Russo's catering for 4 days straight for a work event (breakfast, lunch, dinner) Where to begin? Taste: Just Wow- Chinese, Mexican, Italian, Barbecue, every single item was fantastic. Homemade fortune cookies! Yeah I had 3 (more than my share) I couldn't get enough of the food, everything was fresh and paired perfectly. The vegetarian options were great as well! Service: Our delivery was always early and came perfectly packaged Price: This will be my preferred choice every time, you cannot ask for a better price. Thank you Mr. Russo for the outstanding service and quality! Now I officially have a love hate relationship with my stove.

We used Russo's catering to handle all of the meals for our 4 day event at World Wide. Every meal was filled with exceptional dishes, fresh ingredients and prepared to perfection. The desserts were as good as any fine restaurant! No two meals were the same, and each day they exceeded the anticipation of the team. I would strongly recommend Russo's catering to anyone that is looking for high quality food and exceptional service!

I've been ordering from Russo's Gourmet to Go and catering for over 15 years. My orders are primarily for work luncheons and customer meetings, but there are the occasional bigger events for 200+ people. No matter what I've ordered - from box lunches, to Tom's Trio, to Butcher's Block Deli to full meals (salad, entree, etc.) the food is always plentiful, fresh and nicely packaged. I especially love that they have gone with more environmental packaging that is easily recyclable. No matter if I'm ordering for 10 or 100; Pat Bettis and team are always there to lend a hand and make recommendations.

I am going to bump 'em up to 4 stars after the salad I had twice now that I really loved. It's their June special, the Tropical Fruit Salad. And it's freaking amazing. I can't tell you how many times I've been to a restaurant, ordered some type of "fruity" salad and been utterly disappointed with the outcome. This salad kicks serious butt. It has a variety of fruit on top: mango, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, mandarin oranges, green apples, grapes......whew. I think that's it but I may have missed something. There's also chicken on top, onions, and I think some kind of cheese. It's served with a mini roll and ranch style dressing. I like to ask for some avocados to go on top and sprouts as an extra addition which only bumps up my check to about $7 even. Pretty good deal and they're quite liberal with the avocado (yay!) Today when I went there to get my salad, I noticed they threw in a dessert for free. Whaa? I notice the fountain drinks have a price on the menu but they never charge me for mine (granted all I ever get is water, but whatevs.) It looked a little 'soggy' like it had been sitting around for a while, but when I took a bite, it ended up being really delicious! It was a key lime pie square and the key lime was just the right mixture of tart and sweet, and the crust had the right amount of salty. The guys who work here are really nice and friendly too. The food has been consistently good and I never have to wait for more than a couple of minutes to get it which is pretty crucial since my lunch breaks are only 30 minutes long. I will still reiterate that their catered food is just a bit better in terms of quality but can't expect too much since it's meant to be a bread co type of quick stop for a lunch type of place. The only thing Russo's needs to work on in my opinion? Their bread. It's kind of "meh." I am not sure if they bake their own bread or order it from someplace but either way, it's always kind of mediocre. I also wish they had regular salted butter instead of that gross margarine stuff. Minor details, I suppose. I will be back!

I called up Russo's again to cater a lunch in my office. I don't typically use them as my normal go-to caterer. Their prices are a bit higher than I want to spend, and I have found a great caterer (Catering for You) in Maryland Heights who has yet to disappoint. And while we're talking about disappointed, I gotta say that I was a little disappointed by Russo's last week. I called them up because we had important folks coming into town, and I wanted a place that had a nice presentation to their product. Russo's is good about putting out a pretty picture. But unfortunately the food was sub-par. I ordered a vegetarian lasagna and a stuffed chicken, along with Southwestern veggies and potatoes gratinee. Eh...the food was edible, but no one was coming up to me to say how great it was. In fact, there a bunch of leftover food, and NO ONE wanted to take any home (usually, leftovers are taken by someone). What a shame. Ah well...so thus, I drop you down to 3 stars.

I was fortunate to be part of a work event that had Russo's catering for a 4-day event and they did breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. All of the food was amazing and varied and so fresh! Mr Russo was outstanding and had a fantastic attitude. The food was always right on time, always hot and the setup was perfect every single time it was incredibly impressive. The company is obviously very well run and I highly recommend them for any event large or small, you absolutely won't regret it and we appreciate them so much, thank you!

I recently attended a work event of which Russo's catering was used for all three meals throughout multiple days. The food was above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Every meal was different giving us a large variety. The food was always delivered warm and on time with many options to choose from. Highly recommend using them for any of your events.

Oh, Russo's, where to begin? I have past experience with Russo's through their Easter and Mother's Day brunches (which are both excellent, although now I may never go back). When my husband and I chose The McPherson for our wedding, we were totally comfortable using Russo's. The Russo's coordinator that works with The McPherson is Kathy Costello. Before I go any further, I'd like to say that on our wedding day (3/23/19), the food was EXCELLENT. The service staff was EXCELLENT. The cake was EXCELLENT. That is literally the only reason they're getting more than one star. Kathy was almost impossible to get ahold of from the beginning. She would take days and weeks to respond to emails and calls. We did an initial phone conversation and then I didn't really hear from her again for like 6 months. We almost missed the November tasting because we were never contacted about it. Our 50% payment was due in the first week of January and she never contacted me with an invoice. When I contacted her she said she'd send something out but never did. I emailed her about 5 weeks before the wedding to get our food choices set - although reaching out really should have been HER job - and 10 days later, when she emailed me back, she said we could do a phone meeting because she "already had most of our choices". I asked for an in-person meeting because I was a little confused already at this point, and she agreed to meet in person (thankfully). At our meeting, we very quickly realized that all the "information" she already had about our wedding/choices WERE FROM ANOTHER COUPLE. She had gotten us mixed up with another McPherson couple. I didn't call her out on it, and we corrected everything (literally everything was wrong, including guest count, room set up, color scheme, cake flavors, and day-of coordinator's name), but it was really, really off-putting. Then a few days later she asked me for a picture of what we wanted on our cake... which I had handed her... at our meeting... and she told me she was going to show her grandkids because it had the Batman symbol on it. Thankfully she found it after that, but again, it really made me worry. The day our final guest count was due - one week before the wedding - I called Kathy. I also needed to make some corrections on our menu AGAIN because they were still wrong - including our cake flavors. I got her voicemail, which indicated that KATHY HAD GONE ON VACATION UNTIL AFTER MY WEDDING! At this point, I was very angry, and demanded to speak with a manager. I got Courtney, who was very pleasant. I told her all the issues we'd had with Kathy, and that she was now ON VACATION and never told me or gave me any other point of contact or advised me how to handle issues while she was gone. Courtney made all my corrections and dealt with my wedding herself from that point. After that, everything was fine, and Courtney did a great job. In fact, it was Courtney who verified that Kathy had gotten us mixed up with another McPherson couple (both of us had Mc- last names apparently). This is literally the ONLY less-than-5-star review I have given ANY of our wedding vendors. I hate to say it, but I'll never deal with Russo's again and aside from getting me someone competent, they never offered to make this right in any other way. Kathy has not even emailed to apologize. The service is definitely not worth the money it cost.

Thanks so much to Russo's for the amazing food during our week long team event. There was not one meal I didn't enjoy. They catered Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner for our team for several days straight! Such a great place. I would recommend using them to EVERYONE!

We used Russo's catering for our teacher appreciation luncheon. For a staff of about 20. We ordered a slew of items, from sandwiches & salads to pastas & desserts, etc. The food & dessert were utterly DELICIOUS. Full of flavor. I ONLY gave 4 stars because the guy who delivered our food was pretty rude. Other than that, they were fantastic!

This place is INCREDIBLE. My wife and I ate at the cafe and it was delightful. The Mediterranean Hummus Wrap is to die for! 10/10, can't wait to go back.

I've been by here a hundred times and wondered if it was a restaurant, or what. Today I finally stopped in for lunch. It's funny how an unappealing and kind of confusing sign out front can keep people away. This is the second time this week I've tried a new fast food joint and had food served on china with silverware. The first was O Wings Plus. I wouldn't go so far as to call this a trend, since Russo's is very obviously NOT a trendy newcomer. The ambience here is more corporate cafeteria than fast food, which is another plus, really. I could care less it it's a little dated, as long as they keep serving food as good at the cobb salad I had today. What a deal, too, at $5.75! Who has a cobb salad for that price, good or bad?!? Well, this one was good and I think I'll be a regular.

My husband and I had an hors d'oeuvres reception in St. Louis following our destination wedding. Someone recommended Russo's Gourmet because they do a great job. So we did the gourmet express, in which food is delivered to the venue. We hadn't taste-tested anything so it was a bit of a gamble. It turned out great, though. We had an assortment of appetizers ranging from bleu cheese salmon crostini, cucumber crab bites, grilled tenderloin on french baguette, sesame chicken with Thai peanut sauce, and more. The food was presented nicely. Everyone said they loved the food. Mark Russo was great to work with. He was very nice, professional and went the extra mile. The price was very decent for the amount and quality of food that we got. I highly recommend this place for express catering.

Over the years, I've eaten a lot of Russo's food. Many years ago my roommate was dating one of the guys in charge of catering, and he would bring home leftovers for us. Oh my...the food was always great even after it had sat for awhile. I also spend 6 years working at a company in Clayton that had a ton of lunch meetings. Me and the other executive assistants had a handful of caterer's that we used to bring in lunch trays. Russo's was a favorite for many of us...when word got around that there would be leftovers from Russo's in the staff kitchen there was a line for the trays when they were pulled from the meeting rooms!

There isn't any place better when it comes to quality service and delicious food from a family owned establishment for over 50 years!

Russo's catered my daughter's wedding last night and everybody raved about what wonderful food and service they offered. We had chosen them after attending another wedding that had been catered by them and it was incredibly good as well. Their staff are professional, pleasant and polite.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would!! These people, especially Toni Callas are a COMPLETE nightmare to work with! She never responds to emails and lies about everything. They have a complete disregard of the men and women who service this country. I would HIGHLY recommend choosing someone else, anyone else, to cater your event. After I asked for all of my money back because of a unforeseen circumstance, they completely stopped responding to me, ghosting me. When I reported them to the BBB they blatantly lied about all of my claims, telling them I was lying about all of it. Why would I lie about my fiancé being deployed? I honestly have never in my life dealt with a company that was this unprofessional! Save yourself the time and especially money and not even get involved with these terrible people and this greedy, unprofessional company. Very DISAPPOINTING!!

I recently went to a wedding that was catered by Russo's. The food was really, really good. The vegetable medley was prepared just right and cooked the perfect amount of time to make them not to mushy or to tough. I also loved the pork and for the more part, I don't eat a lot of pork (except bacon). It looked so good that I had to try it. The gravy was the perfect consistency and just a touch of it was excellent on the pork. The chicken was stuffed and a little dry, but everything else was so good that I barely noticed it. My date is a food snob and raved about the pork. He is no stranger to the finest restaurants in town, so I was a little nervous he would complain about the food. Not one complaint, except he agreed about the chicken being a little dry. I do not know if Russo's made the cake, but it was excellent. There was a chocolate cake with white icing. A white cake with white icing and creamy fudge in the middle. Also a white cake with white icing and strawberry filling. Being the dedicated Yelper that I am, I tried all of them!!! Just wanted to make sure I could give a full report :) I spoke to the bride and she said the process was super simple with Russo's. She had a tasting and decided what she wanted. She never had to think about any of it again until she had her meal the night of her wedding.

I've used Russo's Catering and their catering via Gourmet Express several times now for my job and have always walked away happy. For the first event, Courtney was essential in helping plan a menu that was both casual, filling, and fun. They took care of everything from tables to setup and when there was a glitch she stepped up and made sure I didn't even notice. The mini veggie spring rolls are addictive and those mini desserts- I can't even begin to choose a favorite. I'm waiting for just the right event to try one of their gourmet food stations- who doesn't love a baked potato bar? The Gourmet Express catering is fantastic for work events. The Tom's Trio Platter is where it's at: you get sandwiches, salad, chips, and cookies for $10.95pp. When I'm doing an event this makes it beyond easy to appeal to everyone's preferences. They send over so many condiments so you won't run out. The Bottom Line, Boss Beef, Santa Fe Chicken Wrap, Executive Club, and Skyscraper always go over well but if I say "just give me a variety" they make sure it's all taken care of, even the vegetarians. I'll definitely use them again since they make it so easy and my guests are always happy.

Russo's catered our department meeting at work yesterday and I have to say that it was a lot better than I expected. We had a choice between regular chili, white chili or minestrone soup in addition to a salad and our choice of half sandwich (turkey, ham or a veggie wrap). I got the white chili which had a nice kick to it and lots of flavor. The turkey and provolone sandwich on a wheat roll was fairly standard. The salad was build-it-yourself and I was impressed that artichoke hearts, olives and roasted red peppers were options instead of the standard toppings. My only complaint is that there was only regular Italian or Ranch dressing and no low-fat or fat free options. Great hearty fall lunch that kept me filled up for the rest of the day. Love not having to worry about dinner after a 10 hour work day!

I work nearby, and this is my favorite place to order. I always get one of their lunchbox specials for carryout, and the BLTT sandwich and Caesar salad is my favorite. The food is always ready on time and tastes delicious. The portions are the perfect size for lunch, especially for the price. I highly recommend for anyone needing a quick lunch spot.

When my coworkers and I get an extra long lunch, this is one of our favorite places! The service is really good! The establishment is very clean! The bathrooms are very clean! The food is always fresh and tasty! I have had their soup, salads and cheeseburgers. I haven't had the need to buy would totally consider them for catering. The only thing I don't like about this place is the parking lot, lol. On one side it's kind of hard to see pulling out and the traffic can be heavy. Other than that this place is always a choice for us for lunch!

We live in California and our daughter got married in St. Louis. Everything was done via email and phone calls until just prior to the wedding. Toni was fabulous to work with from so far away. The food was fantastic and the cake was out of this world. Prices were reasonable compared to other wedding caterers. I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to plan a wedding from out of the area as well as for people in the area.

Had Russo's for my last minute wedding. Toni was the person who helped us through everything and was very organized and helpful. However, that and the cake were about the only thing that went well. When meeting with Toni to try two chicken dishes, we told her how the food at a public tasting they had was very bland. She said they could add more spice. We decided on "Russo's chicken" dish because it was crunchy and wasn't covered in the sauce. We left Russo's feeling more confident that food for my wedding would be much better than the public tasting. However, my wedding day came and food was a disappointment. Vegetables had no flavor. The Russo's chicken was soggy and had little flavor and the bbq pork was a slab of fat. The only good things were my mashed potatoes, fruit salad, and cherry dressing salad. Thank god the Amaretto cake was good, moist, and delicious or I'd say the food part of my wedding would have been a complete disaster. We had an 4 hour open bar and that also went very well. The bartender was super helpful and nice and the people who helped collect dirty dishes were also nice and helpful. Not sure if I'd suggest Russo's or not at this point because if you're looking for a good price, cake, and friendly staff then it's the place. If you're looking at good food then I'd suggest some place different.

I ordered pasta and sandwiches for my house party, about 100 people. Scott, who took my order, was helpful with suggestions about quantities and selections. My guests raved about the food, loved the "Rasta Pasta". They were kind enough to lend me racks and they threw in some sterno. Order and pick up was unbelievably simple. Having my party "catered" took much stress off me. I was able to enjoy the event, not exhausted from planning, shopping and cooking. Would I recommend? Hell, yah!.

I normally would not a review but I have had 2 horrible experiences with their catering in the last year. One was my wedding that I was like things happen and most people wouldn't realize there were issues. But this most issue is very alarming since the lack of detail this past weekend I almost ended up in the hospital with an allergic reaction. . What happened was I ordered food through catering for a dinner party and alerted them of a sever allergy to strawberries. It was written on my invoice in 4 places with bold print. But when we unpacked our trays of food. There was strawberries all over the trays. We called Russos and the response was nonchalant that we can just remove them and it will be fine. After 3 phone calls, we finally got a response that there was nothing that can be done. So we called again, and we are then told someone was coming to our address to drop off a replacement for one of the trays. They did not call us to let us know this. Our event was at another address than our invoice and we just happened to stop by and let out our dog. So if we had not stopped by what would they have done. It was one of the owners and when asked how this can happen he said "people" no sorry, no we will be more careful just people happen. It is that attention to detail that worries me and is not acceptable. Food allergies aren't a small detail and anyone in the food industry should realize this. A sandwich tray which we ordered was a replaced by a small container of chicken salad and crackers. While I appreciate the effort all the food had cross contamination with other trays since they were all packed in the same box. If you use Russo's for a catering event and have allergies I would be AFRAID. Just my thougths and opinions. Thank you

Our parish St. Rita Catholic Church had a dinner catered by Russo. They helped to make it a very special evening. What a way to celebrate our 100th. Leanne and David couldn't had been more on the spot. The food great and the service was beyond what we were to think about. Thank you, all at Russo. FIRST CLASS all around.

I went to a training yesterday and the lunch was catered by Russo's catering. The food was amazing. It was just simple sandwiches, salad, chips, and cookies. They went above and beyond to make the food unique and delicious. If I ever need a caterer, Russo's will be at the top of the list.

Russo's catered my in home anniversary party for 100 guests and we were very pleased. We ordered various cold and hot hors d'ourvres which we picked up ourselves at the cafe. Everything was well packaged and was pleasantly surprised with the presentation. We heard nothing but positive comments from our guests and they especially liked the grilled vegetable platter ( not the ho hum veggie platter we all know), and the cannelloni was as good as "The Hill". Russo's price beat out all the other caterers that I contacted and their employees were great to work with.... Thank you Scott! Would highly recommend!!

I eat lunch here weekly. The food is excellent! It's also a great value - I usually get a sandwich with chips and a side salad with a soda for $8. Friendly staff and yummy desserts.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Spazio Westport on October 18, 2014. Our experience was phenomenal. Mark Russo and Emily Otto were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Erick the chef at Spazio worked hard on preparing the food for our family style reception exactly the way we requested it. We are still receiving compliments on how lovely the garden room and bistro were set up as well as how delicious the food was. Larren and Nikki did a great job on the presentation of the set up as well as the food. Our cake was done by Russo's and it looked and tasted exceptional. We will recommend Spazio and Russo's Catering to anyone we know. Thank you, to everyone for your hard work.

We went to Russos for a tasting for our wedding about a year ago. I recently found the receipt and it reminded me how disappointed I was with the tasting. The food was a bit below average, but it's not the only reason for the bad rating. I'm a vegetarian and the waiter "baconed" me (i.e. gave me something, assured me it was vegetarian and upon biting into it I discover loads of bacon). Also I mentioned the receipt, which would imply we paid for this awful meal......we paid $45 for a tasting that could've led to us spending thousands of dollars at this restaurant. We had 3 other tastings, including one private meal at a chef's residence, and this meal (the worst out of the 3) was the only one we paid for. I would not recommend this caterer.

AMAZING!!! Now idk if i'm writing this review under the correct Russo's yelp category but whatever. At work we get Russo's business lunch boxes and platters all the time. So this past mother's day there were some of us working that morning...I felt bad for them and myself lol but bun in the oven doesn't count to me for mothers day so I really just felt bad for them so I decided to get some box lunches and flowers for the moms. I called and let them know it was for sunday, the amazing guy taking the order offered to set up the boxes as a kit so the sandwiches don't get soggy...thanks! i received the email that day for the order, went to pick up next day with no problem, smiles everywhere. lunch was delish! the moms were grateful and overall I was honestly super impressed at how flawless and professional the whole thing went. prices i think for what u get are super awesome, customer service was amazing and the food was great...will definitely be ordering more often

Russo's did the catering for my wedding and they did an amazing job. The food all tasted great and the cake was excellent. I was planning my wedding from the other side of the country, and Toni made the process so easy. She was quick to respond to emails and really followed through with my vision. I sent her a picture of a cake design that I liked, and she followed through with a cake that was more perfect than I could imagine. Everyone at Russo's is professional and organized. They made the catering planning for my wedding completely stress free and I couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor and consider hiring Russo's to cater your event.

Used to be one of my favorites. Now it is on my never again list. The service was terrible and a roach fell off of the ceiling and onto my plate. Then the lady I asked to send a manager over (to see my now trapped roach) came over a few minutes later after speaking to a coworker. I said "Are you the manager?" She replied "no, she sent me" I went back to the counter and asked the other worker why she had not come if she was the manager. She replied she thought I may have had a spill I needed cleaned up and that they were looking for the manager. Really!?!? Terrible management! Terrible employee attitudes!

they catered my goddaughters wedding which I coordinated for them on 10/15. everything was fantastic!!!!! food excellent the beef and chicken dishes everyone raved about. They did a mini dessert buffet along with the cake and it was just fabulous. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or professional! Highly recommend. The cost was far lower than all the other caterers we interviewed.

The worst reviews are the most telling reviews! Save yourself the money & the energy and go with someone else! It was a complete nightmare working with Russo's Catering & Kathy Costello. So many things went wrong from the very beginning--all the way to the day of our wedding (From being overcharged, to unauthorized use of our credit card, to raw chicken at our reception--ugh, disgusting!!!!) Russo's was the absolute worst decision we made during our entire wedding process. Kathy is condescending, crass, easily overwhelmed by the most mundane of tasks, and absolutely awful at her job. Incompetent would be the best word to describe her, as she called me 3 TIMES while we were getting pictures taken because she couldn't figure out WHERE TO PUT THE TABLE NUMBERS. Aside from the fact that she had a print out of the breakdown of where the table numbers go, she still could not figure it out. I mean, SERIOUSLY? It's not rocket science, that is the easiest part of your job! NO bride should have to be upset on their wedding day, be served raw meat, or have to deal with someone like Kathy and Russo's. And the fact that she works in this business, but doesn't know that you can't fit 10 place settings with chargers at a 60 inch round, serves wine at a tasting in plastic cups instead of wine glasses (i mean, really?), shows up to planning meetings without linens, tableware, glassware. is absolutely mind blowing. I just want to share my story anywhere I can to save a couple from having their day ruined by Kathy and the entire Russo's team. I have wrote reviews on yelp and wedding wire (both of these Kathy reported and tried to get taken down, thankfully Wedding Wire and yelp respects our reviews) and I reported them to the BBB. They have no integrity as a company and that's terrifying for the wedding business and all future couples looking for a venue! Brides, trust your gut and your intuition! Mine was not wrong for anything! It just so happened we were forced to go with Russo's, as they were the exclusive caterer. We now know, if you love a venue, you can contact the hall and ask to use a different caterer! (site reasons why & use bad reviews as proof) If you want more horror stories from my entire experience, I would love to share all of them with you, if it means saving you from making the same mistake we did. This past weekend, I was in charge of an event and we used Russo's Catering. Although we had used Russo's for many smaller events, this was the first time we used them for a large event. We've always been extremely happy with the food and service but this time, we were blown away. I was impressed by their professionalism and attention to details--in fact, the post regarding the allergies really surprised me. We had a few guests with food allergies and our contact at Russo's contacted them for me personally and made sure they were taken care of prior to the event--they even provided gluten free bread rolls! During the night, the staff checked in with me often and at the end of the night, the staff made sure all the linens and glassware were off the tables and took out the trash-- in my 12 years of doing event work, that has never happened! They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and our guests had a good time. Besides the service, the food was excellent. Everyone had a great time and a big part of that was because we went with Russo's!
