Good Pizza, but Questionable Fee Practices
Review:
I usually make a point to stop at Russos when passing through Glenwood Springs. Their pizza is consistently good, and I've always enjoyed my meals there.
However, my recent visit left me with a bit of a sour taste, and not from the food. After receiving my receipt, I noticed a "PIF" fee (Public Improvement Fee) of $0.50 added to my bill. I was never informed about this fee beforehand, nor was I asked for my authorization to add it.
Small Amount, Big Principle: Even though $0.50 is a small amount, the principle is important. Customers should not be surprised by fees added to their bills. Transparency is crucial in any business, and this felt like a sneaky way to add an extra charge.
While I appreciate the quality of the food here, I'm disappointed by this lack of transparency. It's not good business practice, and frankly, it's not ethical. I hope the management will reconsider their policy on informing customers about such fees in the future. I'll think twice before stopping by again, which is a shame because I really do like their pizza.
