How to Get Cakes and Other Treats Delivered During COVID-19 | Eater Boston

"I note that Russo’s has a great baked-goods department and can be a good source for cakes and other desserts if you’re looking beyond specialty shops." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Google
I'd say the pizza was good. It came out hot and on time. All the people that work there were great. I would just say as far as the pizza dough it can have a little bit more saltiness or oil. Overall the pizza was good just a little under flavored. Perhaps some oregano and other spices would do the trick

David S.

Google
Excellent pizza! Great crust. Super fresh ingredients and not skimpy. Got a 20 inch and slices are huge so be prepared. Only thing I thought was a little cheesy was they charged me extra to substitute spicy sausage for sweet. I will definitely go back when visiting Glenwood next time.

Miguel B.

Google
Wings were so good they disappeared off my plate within the first 3 minutes! Best wings in town

Benjamin Reyes J.

Google
Since when do pizza places use “milk cheese” on a pizza? I’m sure it’s cheaper than using Mozzarella 🤦🏽‍♂️. Looks good, but not my taste.

Mame M.

Google
Great pizza 🍕 yum yum We had the Alfredo pizza and our friends did a make you own They loved theirs too

James A.

Google
Ordered online. Said it would be ready in 40 minutes. It was cold by the time I got my food. It had been sitting for at least 10 minutes. Whoever made the pizza put most of the toppings right in the middle of the pizza and tried to cram it in a smaller box than it was meant for. Made the crust too thin and it had holes in it sticking to the box. Tasted fine though and the Greek side salad was really good. Probably won't be back for awhile.

Google
It was clear that the staff was working very hard to keep up with the demand of the holiday season, and they CRUSHED it. The food was great and the service was excellent. Highly recommend the O.G. Pizza.

Google
This place is okay but the management needs to train the staff to use two cheap paper plates to fit the pizza slice length. That's how every other "NY style" pizza vendor does it. I've been coming here for years and tired of my pizza hanging off the paper plate and touching the tables when they bring it over. Or, get oblong shaped paper plates...even better.

Joe S.

Yelp
Pizza was good. Had the perfect crunch to it. Pizza does take about 20-30 minutes. Don't come here if you're in a hurry, just order ahead. Service was good. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor.
google avatar

Kristi M.

Yelp
Just popping back in to say this pizza is still some of the best I've had! I love that they had slices so we were able to try multiple types. The OG is still my hands down favorite!
google avatar

Joey R.

Yelp
Pizza is not good very bland and not authentic Italian NY, ordered a plain cheese and garlic bread. Both tasted like cheese was bad and fishy, not sure how you can get that taste in a pizza joint, but leave it to new owners that buy an Italian place and then cut corners or do not have a passion to make Italian food. But hey that's Glenwood Springs for ya everything's a catfish. Stay away if you want good pizza.

Yelp
Wanted wings and fries to watch the Broncos. Ordered on Russos website and everything was ready when they said it would be. The loaded dill pickle fries are amazing. They are filled with fried pickle coins, fried chicken, delicious sauce and a huge portion of fries. The Buffalo wings were sauced well and crispy. The pizza was delicious and warmed in the oven before serving. The parking is shared with many other businesses. It was easy to find a spot around noon on Sunday. Definitely give Russos a try.

Yelp
Used to work here they don't treat there employees the best most of the Mexican cooks talk bad about the other workers which is a toxic work environment let alone the yelling from just pizza cooks. The cooks let there children sit in their cars out back of the store all day which is not great. And we don't get breaks. Also have people under 21 serving alcohol and barely carding to begin with the specific instruction of carding people under the age of 45 but doesn't end up carding majority of the customers. They have good food but the environment is crap I don't recommend working here.

Yelp
Food- mediocre at best Service- horrible. The slug of a young man barely said a word. I mean nothing. Like he was fighting to stay alive and upright. With his mouth drooping open. Ambiance- filthy. Dirty. Needs swept and mopped. No condiments available. Over all we are a no thank you for returning or recommending it to anyone else.
google avatar

Chuck T.

Yelp
Great pizza. Perfect crispy crust. The side salad we ordered was fresh and very good. The only thing lacking at Russo's is cold beer. Don't know why. They have the bar and taps, so unless they lost their license, they're missing a key element to a truly great pizza parlor.

Yelp
I just had dinner in this restaurant and as soon as you come in you smell the pizza goodness. Yohan, Lourdes, and Bryan greeted me when my family and I waked in. Yohan had amazing customer service and recommended the Notorious PIG and it was sooo yummy. I am so happy that I was able to try this delicious pizza. Everything was amazing and the parking was right in front of the restaurant and it was free.
google avatar

Greg J.

Yelp
We stopped for a slice here. We both got the Notorious PIG, which has a sweet chili sauce, bacon, sausage, basil, etc. it was unlike any slice we've tasted. It is very sweet due to the sauce and very filling. I couldn't finish my slice. I'd get it again.

bernard c.

Yelp
Had the "Works". Crust was underdone/doughy. One worker spent more time on his phone than helping customers. Not sure the music was family appropriate.
google avatar

Kristie N.

Yelp
Came here on a whim without any expectations. No complaints. Customer service was great and food was equally delicious. They had gluten free options and were very accommodating.

Yelp
We randomly chose to stay in Glenwood Springs on our way to Aspen. We had a long day of travel and needed a break. There was a shopping center nearby and we went for a walk to move our legs from sitting in the car. We discovered Russo's and looked at the menu and said we have to try this because whoever made this menu has a great sense of humor. Anyone else go to Colorado to have New York pizza? Just us... cool, cool, cool. All jokes aside, the food was legit! We had their Fried Pickled Gangsta Fries that made a special return for a limited time. We didn't know what to expect and we were very excited when it arrived. The fries are mixed with fried pickle chips and chicken, topped with dill pickles along with ranch sauce. We also had the Mango Habenaro wings because we clearly are addicted to wings. I admit it and I own it and they were damn good. We built our pizza because we were feeling extra picky that day. I can't say I can identify New York pizza and offer any comparison but it was pizza and it was satisfying. Best part of our experience is when we first arrived we were immediately greeted with a smile and told the specials and a quick rundown of the menu. We ordered at the counter and they deliver your meals at your table. Lots of seating available and very relaxed dining experience.

Yelp
Food was so great! I was only going to order for take out but decided to stay. I would recommend looking at the current menu at the store and not the ones in the pictures on yelp. I ordered way too much but it came in handy later. Very clean store and friendly staff.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
First, I want to give a shout out to the staff as they scrambled and weee able to take care of about 35:40 of us after a baseball game we had. They did awesome as a crew. Pizza was good everyone got something different as we had a large party. I went with the OG Pizza slice and it was delicious. We also ordered The Godfather Gagster fries delicious best thing I had up in Glennwood Springs. Sticky Korean Wings were good as well. The only issue we had was with the Cesar Salad. Definitely not a huge concern but very heavy anchovy flavor not my fav at all. If your staying in Glennwood swing in and get you some Russos pizza. We will be back next time we are in town.

Yelp
BEST PIZZA IN GLENWOOD SPRINGS! I've lived here for 6 years and in that time I have tried nearly every pizza place from Rifle to Aspen. Originally from the east coast, I'm a pizza snob. The quality, taste and price point at Russos, in my opinion, is unbeatable. They have a patio, large dining room and bar, so there's plenty of seating space. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Kyle V.

Yelp
Lots of different slices of pizzas or a large menu to choose from. The staff was friendly and working hard when it was packed on a Saturday during lunch. I grabbed a couple slices, a garlic bread thing, and a soda. My copilot had one of their mac and cheese dishes. They were all pretty good and the portions were large. We saw some tables around us having their "Grenades" (sliders) and they looked great. I might try one of those on my next visit. Overall, clean dining room, friendly staff, and a lot of options on the menu. We would come back again for a quick lunch since it's so close to the 2 nearby hotels.
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
Stopped by Russo's for a quick lunch while on the road and was very satisfied with the menu and quality of the food. I tried the sliders and cheese curds and was a very happy camper. I think i should mention I had never had cheese curds before so my mind was blown by the amazingness of the whole thing and how happy it made me. The food came out fast and the service was fast. What's not to love?

Denise J.

Yelp
I love their gluten free pizza crust. Right now I can't get enough of the Ricotta pizza with extra garlic.
google avatar

Leanne K.

Yelp
Great creative Pizza and Wings! Friendly service and local hang out Love the music playlist too
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
The pizza is middle of the pack 6.2 (but I'm picky with my pizza). I will say the slices are huge. We got garlic knots and wings as well. It was honestly a great value for what we paid. If you've got kids this is your place for lunch no doubt. Lots of options. Service was great and speedy. Side note I wasn't totally on board with the wall murals as a fan of NYC

Lauren G.

Yelp
Brooklyn girl approved this is the best your gonna get in Colorado. Or anywhere but NY. My top 5 favorite pizza places ever love yall
google avatar

Cameron H.

Yelp
I've never in my life been a "wing girl" until I had the buffalo wings here at Russos!!! They are so delicious and so filling. I crave them! This location also offers Togo cocktails!!! The only good thing Covid brought us I work down the street and this is 100% my go to when it comes to my lunch break! I love to grab Togo cocktails before I take my dogs to the park! The woman who seems like she runs the show here does an amazing job of informing customers on simple things but necessary information (napkins, straws, etc) I'll be back forever and ever until I leave the valley (which will be never)
google avatar

Kristina T.

Yelp
In an area where a lot of things are expensive, I greatly appreciate that a big slice of New York-style pizza costs only $5. Russo's has more than just pizza though. The menu also has wings, pastas, fries, sandwiches, and salads. There are familiar ingredients on the menu like pepperoni and cheese, but there are also plenty of interesting combinations on the menu. Branch out and go for something different. Try the O.G. pizza. It is sweet and spicy sausage with a basil aioli sauce, and that basil aioli is good stuff. There is also the O.G. gansta fries. I have not tried that one yet, but I am sure that the basil aioli is as good on fries as it is on pizza. Your options are plentiful, and the prices are reasonable. Russo's is a good casual spot for an affordable and tasty meal.

Travis S.

Yelp
Not just a pizza spot. The Manhattan Penne Pasta is delicious and filling. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and fast service while jamming to early 2000 rap/hip hop.

Andrea M.

Yelp
We met the manager at another establishment in Glenwood, and suggested we come for pizza and wings! Thank you for suggesting, pizza and wings were delicious! It's very difficult to find a place in Denver that offer both! Loved the Lemon pepper wings!
google avatar

Chala G.

Yelp
I ordered boneless buffalo wings, fries, fettuccine alfredo, 6 garlic knots, and 2 slices of pizza. The pizza was good I don't like my cheese to be too stringy or the dough to be super thick and this met my expectations. The buffalo wings were small and tasted like they'd been frozen but weren't horrible, the fries were cold, 3 of the 6 garlic knots were hard, and although I ordered fettuccine Alfredo I received chicken Alfredo, maybe I wasn't clear enough that's not here nor there. All of this was takeout and the restaurant was 10 minutes from my hotel. My husband didn't say the service was bad and ordering over the phone wasn't complicated at all. I'd give more stars if the food was hot the fettuccine was correct, the knots were soft and buttery, and the chicken was fresh.

Ashley R.

Yelp
Food was good. I just wish they had a standard pepperoni slice. But everything I got was amazing. Turnaround was quick, maybe less than 10 minutes and there were a few people in front of me. The inside was cute. The cannolis didn't disappoint either.
google avatar

Jeff I.

Yelp
Pizza was really good. New York style. Service was great. The folks working there were super nice. Cool place. I'll go back.

Joselinda G.

Yelp
We were 6 ish hours into a drive from utah to aurora, and we stopped in for some lunch. Maybe it was the sheer exhausttion, but this had to have been the best barbecue wings I've ever had. Perfectly crisp and very steamy. My dad got the stromboli, very good as well, packed with meat, and reminded us both of the nachos from Old chicago we get back in aurora.

Theressa S.

Yelp
Pizza was ok. Sauce lacked flavor and kinda pricey for a slice of pizza. Wings came out fresh and hot but they drowned them in too much sauce.
google avatar

Erik F.

Yelp
there online system says I would get a text when the order was ready. no text . they call two hours later telling my food is sitting there and the online system cliched. their system screwed up and I didn't want cold pizza for dinner. owner refused to refund my money. just horrible customer service. last visit there or their burger place across the street. owner said my ticket had the time it would be ready. also says I would get a text.

Julie C.

Yelp
This off the beaten path local pizza place is well worth the short drive away from the tourist area. The 4 ladies working on Friday night were so nice and helpful. They were super busy, and after tasting all our haul, I know why. Somethin about that dough.....fresh toppings and O so fresh Ricotta cheese.. The Hillbilly fry's are a MUST. And the regular fry's are just as awesome..... you won't be sorry you ventured out for this hidden jem...can't wait for my next visit from Denver.

Yelp
We had Rusdos before in Houston and tried their huge pizzas. They were good. We were driving through here and felt like pizza and the one we wanted to try was closed but this popped up so we ordered ahead for pickup. Ordered Russos 20" for take out. The works with both meat and veggies. Picked it up to eat on way to Vail. Liked how it was hot and fresh and big. Was all ready for us too. Big slices. I liked it alot. Perfectly crispy and sweet sauced. Good big pizza to share. Could have had another big slice ;) Wanted more lol
google avatar

GayeLynn M.

Yelp
Visiting Glenwood Springs, the hubs and I tried Russo's. I like that you have an option for either a slice of specialty or you can customize your own pie. The hubs had a slice of the OG, and he enjoyed it. I had the white sauce Margherita, which was very good. We ordered garlic knots. I thought they were very tasty but expected them to be softer. Hubs thought they needed more butter. The cinnaballs we would not waste our money on again. The only good part was the cinnamon/sugar. The icing they provided was rock hard and impossible to use. Service was fine but nothing to write home about
google avatar

Valerie L.

Yelp
Nice little pizza place near the Marriott hotels. Crust is slightly chewy, slightly crunchy. Great toppings, great drink selection. Was kind of surprised this was only rated 3.5 stars, it's worth at least 4.

G M.

Yelp
The food was good, although the pizza was cold it was good. The service was good. The ambiance felt like a school cafeteria, I would not want to sit at the bar and have more than one drink all the furniture is cold metal,,, very uninviting. The wall color and overall look very cold. Italian places should lift you up with a colorful palate. No napkins or set ups on the table, one service counter and to get parmesan or ketchup you had to get up from your table and wait at the counter for service.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
We are on a trip with our recently graduated son who has Celiacs. Very accommodating for gluten allergies, and the regular pizza is delicious and huge. Great place to visit gluten allergies or not.
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
This place was a breath of fresh air. Pizza can be a dime a dozen and I was skeptical at the higher price. But! Fear not the pizza was amazing! Cooked to perfection! Everything couldn't have been better! And we also got wings, which I usually don't get wings at pizza places cause they are usually baked and weird. Not here! The wings taste just like wings should taste! No shortage of wing sauce and so damn good! Really glad I found this place I'll be back for sure!

B A.

Yelp
The pepperoni is placed on top of the cheese after it is baked and baked again. Bizarre. It is as though the pepperoni isn't part of the pizza. It reminds me of Beau Jo's turkey pepperoni. The sausage tastes odd. Not bad odd, just odd. I don't get who would say they enjoy this flavor. This isn't Italian sausage. Do not order ricotta. It doesn't taste like ricotta. It is a sour plop after the pizza is baked. And it kind of melts and tastes like a sour plop. Despite scraping off the toppings, except the onions, I could not force myself to eat the leftover pizza. I would ingest Little Caesars before I eat this. This isn't reasonable pizza. And the music is hit or miss. When we were there, they played a song that talked about "f***** the hoes" but then somebody changed the channel and thankfully pivoted to Jimi Hendrix. The owner needs to take control of the music and rethink the pizza toppings. Jimi Hendrix would not have ingested this pizza.
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
Good New York style pizza. Nice large slices. I enjoyed the 2x I've been there. They also play excellent music!
google avatar

Eddie H.

Yelp
Well we ended up here and it was the decision ever. This is hidden gem for sure. We are working in Aspen and they don't have anything good at all, so we drove to glenwood and bam we are eating the best pizza. The crew was blowin away how good it was. We also had the wings there and amazing the peachy reaper where the best. The staff was way friendly and very nice. The place was spotless and the followed all the mask mandates. I would suggest the calzone myself and it is so huge and come hungry. Make the drive it is well worth it.
google avatar

Kandice T.

Yelp
Great choice for pizza! Fresh ingredients and delicious crust. The artichoke and spinach pizza was great.
google avatar

Ana N.

Yelp
Great place to grab a slice of pizza. The slices are huge. The garlic knots and butter dip are to die for. And the Caesar salad was perfect. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Katherine O.

Yelp
Wanted to stop for a quick bite somewhere and got lucky we came across this pizza place. My bf and I got three slices from the front and they had some of classics like pepperoni, we tried the bbq brisket, and chicken Alfredo. Each slice was amazing, i recommend all three! We were happy we tried different slices in case we're ever back in Colorado we know where to go. We got our pizza and we were able to eat outside.

Amanda C.

Yelp
Stopped for a quick meal. Thought the pizza was great!! Will def return . Reasonable prices

Jenna L.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible food. Everything came out fresh and hot! Not long of a wait at all. The notorious PIG pizza was delicious!
google avatar

Chelsea B.

Yelp
Best (unique) Italian in Glenwood! Started with Scarface Gangsta Fries---perfectly salted, hand cut fries topped with Alfredo sauce, liberal amount of parmesan, thinly sliced blackened chicken and huge fresh jalapeños. So good!!! House salad---huge!---fresh all the way around with creative dressing options...we chose Cajun ranch and it was yummy! Calzone--ricotta, mozzarella and pepperoni--was large enough for at least two people. The crust was crispy even with the oozy cheeses. Pesto (specialty) pizza---12" was plenty for three to share! We added pepperoni but it didn't need it. Good beer on tap, friendly counter service and super clean/safe table area. Taking home leftovers and planning a return visit soon!

Sharon C.

Yelp
This place has great pizza!! Picked this place by random & was not disappointed! Definitely would come back here when I'm back in town!
google avatar

Justin R.

Yelp
Love the mac and cheese, the blackened chicken grenades, and the cheese curds. Cant go wrong with the loco fries either
