We ordered tuna melt and breakfast burrito. It was so good. Delicious! Ice Coffee was great as well. Good food good vibes. On a sunny day this location their food is such a vibe

As a physician and registered environmental health specialist I do not recommend Rustic Bakery. I called the manager to discuss but they would not take my call (employee would only give me managers email). I ordered a breakfast burrito this morning and the scrambled eggs were a blue/gray color (see pic). I will not be going back and will contact the health department.

Very nice bakery. Served salads and sandwiches. Very popular. Highly recommend

the cheese jam bakery is not very sweet, just alright. the decaf coffee also tastes pretty good, not watery at all

Very fresh organic food served here. Love the art paintings inside too.

Yikes, $7.10 for a small latte! The oat milk upcharge was an unpleasant surprise. Beautiful pastries and baked goods, but not a single one of them was dairy free. I will not be returning.

I recently stopped by Rustic Bakery for lunch and was blown away by the delicious flavors! The Ciracha Chicken Sandwich was a highlight - the chicken was tender and juicy, with a perfect balance of spicy and tangy from the Ciracha sauce. Paired with the refreshing Arnold Palmer drink, it made for a satisfying and filling meal. The bakery itself has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with friendly staff and a wide variety of tasty treats on display. I was impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into crafting each sandwich. If you're in the area, Rustic Bakery is a must-visit for a delicious and satisfying meal. Five stars and I'll definitely be back!

Google
I am new to the area, and this place has been somewhere that I frequent often. Food quality is always very consistent. Staff is great. I have even had it doordashed to my job a few times, and the food arrives perfectly!

Yelp
The food was amazing! I had the breakfast panini and a cappuccino . The cappuccino arrived at the perfect temperature. The service was very friendly and the ambiance was great for singles and families. There is outdoor seating as well. Accessibility note: Be aware there is no seating with back support, so keep that in mind if you struggle with that .

Yelp
Horrible service - overpriced Personnel poorly trained and have new faces every time

Yelp
Nice spot in Larkspur. I came for a sandwich and coffee as I was passing through the area. I ordered the Sriracha chicken sandwich as many folks seemed to really like it. It was pretty good, with lots of flavor and chicken-deli type meat. I think I've definitely seen Rustic baked goods at various grocery stores in the bay, I just didn't realize it was this store!

Yelp
Treated myself to lunch at Rustic and got the tuna melt sandwich. It was so yummy and flavorful. Also picked up a fresh loaf of bread and some pastries. Such a great spot to stop for lunch.

Yelp
This place is pretty good. I'm not sure why it has mediocre reviews. The sandwiches and coffee were excellent. The turkey club had bread that was toasted with sunflower seeds. The turkey and everything else was fresh. We also ordered and almond croissant. It was flaky and not greasy. The food arrived within a reasonable time and the decor is standard but inviting. We would much rather eat here than the food trucks at the farmer's market.

Yelp
A nice place to stop for a quick breakfast of pastries and hot beverages if you're going up north, aka beyond the Golden Gate Bridge. We've picked up their sandwiches and cold drinks for picnics too. Parking can be a nightmare, especially on a Saturday morning, when the Farmers Market is on, but today was alright! There's usually a line to order but it moves fairly quickly with the super efficient and friendly staff. Seating is available inside and outside the cafe, and if that's all taken, there are tables and chairs throughout Marin Country Mart too. Today, we got a couple of ham and cheese croissants to eat there and other pastries to eat at home. Plenty of ham in these croissants!

Yelp
Great place to stop by en route or finishing a hike in the area. Line moves fast. Friendly service. I'm a croissant lover...and these are pretty good. They don't come close to arsicault but they're not bad. They're bread...obviously is what they're known for and def doesn't disappoint.

Yelp
Just a quick note to say that the Irish soda bread for St. Patrick's Day is fabulous: full of raisins and topped with crystalized sugar. Don't miss out on it.

Yelp
We had time to kill before catching the ferry to SF. I loved the coffee and the apple croissant. The coffee was delicious and the croissant was flaky and not too sweet. The service was quick and friendly. We took our food to go but the place looked comfortable.

Yelp
Busy would be the only drawback here, and that's usually a great sign. we got here before the lunch rush, and we're happy we did. coffee on point, she had the breakfast panini, and I had the special sandwich with side salad. we even grabbed a baguette with pesto, salami, and cheese from the to-go case for later. wonderfully made fresh food and snacks, beautiful view from the tables out back overlooking the ferry docks. with restrooms and shopping, makes this a great little pit stop! super glad we found it!

Yelp
My husband and I came here today for lunch. We both ordered the Rustic turkey club sandwich. Their online menu says the sandwiches come with organic salad. However, we were told that only the grilled sandwiches come with side salads. We enjoyed our turkey club sandwiches. The turkey sandwiches were nicely packed with turkey meat, avocado and bacon. I was full after having half my sandwich. We ordered a green salad to share and it was a good size salad but the dressing was too sour. The tables outside the Bakery were pretty dirty so we went to a nearby wood picnic table and enjoyed our lunch. We also went to Johnny's Donuts around the corner and enjoyed a Cronut for dessert.

Yelp
Came here in the afternoon and got a roast beef sandwich on rye. Service was efficient and I didn't need to wait long for my sandwich to be ready. My sandwich was packaged well in a bag with pickles on the side and napkins. There was plenty of seating inside as well as outside. To be honest, there's nothing special about the sandwich. The bread was cold and was definitely not baked fresh. Not a bad place if you want to grab food, but if I had a choice I'd probably go elsewhere.

Yelp
Fast service, but it would be nice to see some smile. Very impressive bakery items we had Meyer Lemon Croissant, cinnamon bun, and Banana walnut muffin. They are all pretty good and big. The air bubbles in the Croissant had risen perfect. Not dry , with light moisture. Will definitely come back again for the bakery items. Store cleanness..... as soon as we decided to sit down, we found out the tall table was pretty sticky. I guess with the sweet bun crumbs....it is hard to keep the floor clean. But at least, table should be clean enough to put down a book.

Yelp
Honestly, to me this place is a little overhyped. I got an Albacore Tuna sandwich on focaccia and was so disappointed. I paid $15 for a measly amount of tuna salad (probably one of the cheaper ingredients in life) with a mouthful of butter greens between two dry pieces of bread that cannot and should not be categorized as focaccia. What you think of when you hear "focaccia" is what this wasn't. The bread was like a dry airy roll. Not good. Too much bread for the little salad that was in between, and too expensive too! The pastries look good though I didn't try one, and I have previously bought their crackers that are also good. But this is a bakery and you ruined focaccia. Please relabel this bread.

Yelp
The Rustic Bakery is a popular spot in the Larkspur Landing area, due to it's proximity to the Larkspur Ferry to SF, the residential multi unit complex nearby, and the gateway to the Richmond San Rafael bridge to the East Bay. There is also one of the few hotels in this part of Marin in Larkspur Landing circle, the Marriott Courtyard. San Quentin is a short hike away, but not much foot traffic coming out of there to come here for a casual brunch. It serves casual comfort food dishes and mostly morning oriented baked goods in a mostly white color scheme, both inside and in the generous outdoor picnic table like seating outside in the large patio area. I stopped in to meet a client and before that, ate a pretty healthy breakfast of a creative bowl of Greek yogurt supplemented on top with fruits and nuts, with a butter croissant and an OJ. Really enjoyed it, since I have been vibing on Greek yogurt lately and eating healthier. It is a casual no waiter service place popular on weekends for a bit of brunch. The prices are a bit elevated, but this is Marin county after all! Higher income than most of the Bay Area, and I am not just comparing that to those over in San Quentin.

Yelp
Food 4/5 Cinnamon roll was textured like a croissant, but dusted with sugar like a donut. It wasn't the traditional fluffy cinnamon roll with the frosting topping. It was good, but not remarkable. The pear croissant has a really delicious custard & fruit filling, but sadly it was not enough. The croissant:fruit ratio was off, so ended up with more bread than fruits. Again, it was good, but not something worth re-ordering again. Service N/A self-serve only Ambiance 5/5 Pedestrian-friendly mall and spacious outdoor chairs. Great for casual meet & greets.

Yelp
Cute place with lots of outdoor seating and dogs around. Was busy when we arrived at 11am on a Saturday morning but the wait in line to order was only a few minutes. The service at the counter wasn't great. The person who took my order acted impatient and cold. The double cafe latte tasted a bit watered down but was fine. I also ordered and paid for a breakfast burrito to go, but when they eventually called my name at the counter it was to tell me they were out of tortillas. They offered to make it as a bowl instead which I accepted to keep things simple. The bowl tasted pretty good, but it was heavy on eggs/bacon/cheese vs potatoes; I think adding more potatoes given the lack of tortilla would have made a more balanced and satisfying meal. My friend enjoyed her tuna melt.

Yelp
Our party of four ended up coming to Rustic Bakery for lunch. Place is a bit crowded, but the food is well worth the trip! Everything from sandwiches to breakfast burritos came out nice and fresh. Took a while for the food to show up, but we enjoyed our time here.

Yelp
The food is delicious but the wait times are egregious and we often find errors With our take out orders. At least the staff is friendly.

Yelp
I think the bakery has gone a bit downhill cutting corners. . I got a Meyer lemon croissant today, which was almost 5 dollars which is OK, texture was fantastic but it just tasted like regular croissant. There was maybe a small smear of lemon at the bottom but it wasn't very lemony. I also got my favorite thing they have, the cheddar scone. This morning it had very little cheddar no black pepper, and tasted like it was just a regular biscuit. It also needed salt. Dare I say even dead lobsters cheddar biscuits are better This bakery used to be outstanding, but I cant say that anymore.

Yelp
After waiting 20 min with my #14 sitting at a table waiting for a slice of quiche and cake, I went back up to the counter to inquire where my lunch was and that I had to leave in a few minutes. They pointed to a piece of half eaten quiche sitting on the counter that looked like a rat had munched on. When I refused the piece and asked if they were kidding I was told, "that's all we have". So I left without the quiche or a slice of orange cake after paying $28 for my meal. I will not return to Rustic Bakery on Magnolia, ever...very disappointed after about 30 years of watching staffing go down hill. Would rather drive to Larkspur Landing or just go to Woodland Market. Absolutely no accountability. No, it was not crowded.

Yelp
What happened to this place??! Has gone completely downhill!! My boring Asian Chicken salad was what they "recommended". I got it and it had no mint, the peanuts were raw not roasted, chicken was dry I almost choked on a few pieces and I asked for the olive oil vinaigrette and instead got a container of plain old olive oil. I also ordered a chai and it was the blandest chai I have ever had. The blond girl that was there had total attitude and was acting as if life is a burden and appeared miserable. This place just lacks the care that it used to have the first few years of business. At this rate, I'm surprised they are still open. I will be glad for them to shut down and hopefully a better newer place opens up. Never again. Money wasted on trash low quality food.

Yelp
A turkey club is always my go-to sandwich and Rustic Bakery does a very good one - with a lemon aioli, avocado and super crispy bacon. It was a revelation and a reminder that I need more turkey clubs in my life! My husband loved his prosciutto sandwich as well. Thank you, Rustic Bakery, for a lovely happy lunch.

Yelp
I recommend people to taste their order before they leave to make sure that they make the right one I ordered a hot chocolate but they gave me hot coffee... I had already left the area and at first I tried to convince myself that it was hot chocolate but when I felt energized and couldn't sleep at night I knew that it was not I even doubled checked my receipt and I asked for hot chocolate too, I was quite disappointed- not sure if I'll trust them again
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite Asian Chicken Salad has changed and it was terribly disappointing. It used to be fantastic with a tangy peanut sauce, crisp lettuce, peanuts, chicken and general deliciousness. Now they add some lettuce to about a full cup of sesame seeds, roughly chopped scallions, a very small teaspoon of peanuts and chicken. The worst part is it was a whopping $20 and pretty awful. The dressing definitely tasted like it came from Trader Joe's.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
If you're going for pastries this is a great option, but if you're wanting a toast or sandwich they are overpriced and SMALL. I got the Salmon toast ($14) which was a special and it was tiny.. The service is wonderful, despite how busy it appears the line mover pretty fast.

Aaron M.

Yelp
Service was poor, staff wasn't very attentive, and ambiance wasn't very inviting. Food wasn't very good either. The sandwich wasn't crispy, it was more chewy but tough.
google avatar

Kim N.

Yelp
Five stars for the carrot cake slice It's delicious, and I typically just eat half and bring the rest home.

Cheri N.

Yelp
They have changed the bread on the ficelle sandwich and that was what I loved the most. Also, they left off the avocado on my salad. This is definitely not the first time they have left off an additional ingredient. Overall what was once my go to place is now a maybe.

Yelp
Delicious food, menu changes weekly, great outdoor seating , lively dining, always try the bread pudding

Yelp
Great place to grab a bite to eat with friends. Easy to go in and order on separate checks with no hassle. Plenty of salad and sandwich options. Salads can be easily veganized (some of them). The Mediterranean salad was delicious. Husband had the grilled roast beef and it was good. Plenty of outside seating. It's pricey, but really, what isn't these days? Was very happy with our lunch and will return.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is great. Love the food! There coffee needs some work though, it's very watered down. The location is great along with the service. I'd come back for lunch, but not for morning coffee and a pastry.

Yelp
How did I wait this long to find this place?! We stumbled upon the bakery while we were waiting for the farmer's market to open, and wow, what a delight. We are huge miche fans and try to find a local one wherever we live, and finally we found one with Rustic! The people behind the glass were friendly, fast, and helpful, and we ordered a Key Lime Cruffin ($4.95) and a Cheddar Scallion scone ($3.95) from the case as well as a gorgeous miche the size of a steering wheel. We greedily vacuumed down our scone and muffin which were both individually delicious, and put the bread in the car, lest we break into it before dinner. Location is amazing with easy access, free parking, and tons of outdoor and indoor seating. The mall is adorable with lots of citrus trees, and the proximity to the 101 and the transit center is clutch. Prices reflect the quality and attention to detail of their items, and I am super excited to know my miche hookup is right here in Marin. Will definitely be returning, and likely to try the locations closer to home too. What a delight!

Yelp
One of the items I ordered was missing and I didn't notice it until I got home. I drove back, and the gentleman helping me was SO kind and generous, I wish I got his name. but THANK YOU kind sir, you made it more than right. Thank you again!!!

Rocio F.

Yelp
The location is very convenient, whether you're waiting for the next ferry or walking around the farmers market. It's also great that they have organic options and I like that they tend to have seasonal items which make cute souvenirs/presents. As other reviews mentioned, service can be on the slower side, specially during high traffic hours, but if you're not on a rush it is still a good option.

Yelp
My office used to be upstairs at Marin Country Mart, so I literally came to Rustic every day at some point for a year or more for coffee, for oatmeal, for a salad. I'm not so much of a baked goods person, but they have a full array of that as well - croissants plain and flavored, quiche and giant cookies. The portions have shrunk somewhat in the past few years but they are still ample. I make my kids split the cookies because they are 6 inches across. They have a kids sandwich menu, a yogurt and fruit cup and some soups for the tiny people in your life. My favorite thing here is a seasonal salad called The Barcelona, butter lettuce with crispy prosciutto, almonds, mandarins and some kind of cheese. They make different dressings for each salad. Quinoa salad is another winner with a rainbow of veggies and miso dressing. The Asian Chicken Salad (which I sub in avocado for the chicken) has peanut dressing and will last 2-3 meals if you take the leftovers. They have plentiful picnic tables with umbrellas outside, also some indoor seating but more along the line of communal tables and a window counter. This is a great place to meet up with a friend and linger over coffee. The Mart is very charming and has a vide variety of stores to check out once you are done eating/caffeinating. Also tons of parking, as a city person this is a big plus. I found out the hard way that the oatmeal is so delicious because they make it with cream. So maybe go for the granola if you are trying to be healthy. Or have an indulgent bowl of oatmeal with cherries on top (literally!) just follow it up with a 5 mile hike and it will balance out.

Yelp
These guys might want to pay their employees a fair wage to keep the good ones. They had a whole new crew who burnt the coffee and made watery latte. I'm not that picky, but this was ridiculous. They might have some soft pastries while they are at it. You only get away with this bad quality in Marin where everything is "Great"

Delores T.

Yelp
Triple A service, food quality, reasonable prices. The only downside was constant Assault by flies in the outdoor patio area !
google avatar

Kristin M.

Yelp
Maybe you shouldn't order from a bakery. I was pretty disappointed in the cappuccino I ordered. Can't say we tried the baked goods tho they looked good.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast sandwiches lunches soups and salads. Free Wi-Fi. Reasonably priced organic food options. Excellent service. Even a kids menu. Espresso drinks with many French style pastries also yummy. Bon Appetite.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
Super cute ambiance with a great selection of pastries and breads. I love coming here to catch up with a friend over coffee. They even have sandwiches and salads if you'd like to order lunch! The best sandwich I've had in my life came from Rustic - no joke. It was a seasonal caprese sandwich with the most amazing fresh tomato slices. I still think about it often, and hope it'll come back on the menu for summer/fall! I've had a few experiences where my drink is made incorrectly, which is why I deducted a star. I think it's always so busy inside that the staff gets frazzled with all the orders. I'd say this spot is better for food than it is for coffee.
google avatar

Lara J.

Yelp
Amazing Kouign Aman (sp?) and quiche. Ask them to heat the quiche all the way through if you don't like cold spots, but it was creamy and is always delicious. A little pricey, but this is Marin. There's a koi - and turtle pond nearby. I fed (not too much) bits o bread by hand.

Yelp
Food 5 stars Staff 5 stars Blasting big base music 0 stars.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
I am a healthcare worker and I ordered a salad through DoorDash. The food came promptly but when I sat down to eat my salad there was a big black hair tucked into my salad.

Chris B.

Yelp
I ordered a latte. It was not made after 30 minutes, and I had to get to work. Their "help" company, ChowNow, couldn't refund the money because they couldn't get them to respond, saying: "I tried calling the restaurant multiple times and emailed them as well, but was unable to get approval on this request." While the food is good, the service is crap.
google avatar

Terry S.

Yelp
If I were rating Edwin who works there, I would give this place 5 stars but they done have enough vegan / plant based options for a 5 star review. There lattes are delicious, and their avocado toast is delicious, but the bread was thin not thick so they need to change either the description or the slice width of the bread, but it was still delicious! My friend who is not plant based lived it, and had their tuna, egg and chicken salad and raved about all of them, and Edwin was a doll and made sure we had enough crackers to eat those salads with. What a friendly guy who went out of his way to make our meal even better! My friend also brought home 4 different t pastries and I couldn't buy one because none are plant based which I think is a weakness... but they seem to be doing so well they don't care and there is enough for me to eat that I still like going!

Mari C.

Yelp
I have been a loyal customer of the several locations in Marin, but last Wednesday I received the worst service ever at the Larkspur Landing Cafe. I ordered a bowl of soup to go. I received my order, and when I went to the car, whoever put the order together didn't close the lid properly. The soup was so hot, it was raining, the paper bag didn't help either, and the scalding soup went on my lap. It burnt my leg, and although it was painful, I was relieved I didn't hand it to kid that was in the car with me otherwise it would have been worst if my child got burnt with the hot soup. I couldn't do anything because I had jeans, and the soup was everywhere, it was horrible and it left a red burn on my leg. I called the cafe, and told them to be careful, they need to be prepared to hand off hot prepared food, the markets, they put a tape to secure the lids. I explained this to the man on the phone, he said he would be refunding me my money, and to have a nice day. Really? I just told him I burnt my leg with the soup, and he is repeating some verbatim, have a nice day?All my clothes got soiled, and the worst was the car, thick soup every where. It needs to go for detailing. I left a message with the corporate website, and the response I got? Do you want to subscribe for news?

Yelp
Never disappointed. But sorta confusing after ordering. Bread is on point. I had chicken salad on rye.

Yelp
Ordered online on my way to work a Cinnamon Puff and a large black coffee. Good thing because there was a pretty long line. Entered the separate pickup line and my order was ready! Soft and delicious with the cinnamon sugar dusted on a croissant like pasty, I throughly enjoyed my breakfast. The coffee as robust as not bitter at all. A good start for the day!

Yelp
Check your order before you leave this location. Second time in a month I picked up salad from Rustic only to get home and find the main protein is missing. Ordered the Barcelona and it had Zero prosciutto. Check your order before you leave, this place sadly has become unreliable. Won't be back soon. How is the rest of the salad? For $15 here is what I got today: not a speck of crispy prosciutto, 1 paper thin slice of Machego (i added the little pieces together and it didnt register on my food scale), 5 canned Mandarin orange pieces, a good sprinkle of marcona chopped almonds, lettuce/fennel/radicchio mix was fine. All weighed in at 10oz. Here is the description for comparison: Barcelona Salad Crispy prosciutto, big shavings of Manchego cheese, slivered Marcona almonds, a crunchy mix of radicchio, endive, fennel, & juicy tangerine slices, all dressed up with a citrus vinaigrette.
