Visiting from the city and stopped by Rustic Root for brunch. The space is spacious and cozy with cute rustic decor, and service was attentive and friendly. Mediterranean salad vinaigrette and yogurt dressing were both solid, but the mix felt unbalanced. There was way too much romaine compared to the small amount of cucumber, tomato, and feta. The pita on the side was too bland; maybe some crunchy pita chips or even lightly oiled bread would’ve worked better. The avocado toast came with an avocado purée rather than slices, which was okay, but I think fresh sliced avocado would’ve been more satisfying. Overall, the vibe and service were lovely, and maybe it’s good for once in a while if you’re in the area, but food-wise, it didn’t fully land for me.

I was on vacation for a week and ended up eating at Rustic Root three times—it’s that good. I had the salmon every visit and it was consistently excellent. The appetizers are a must—don’t skip the artichokes and the beets. As for drinks, I stuck with the smoked old fashioned (multiple times), and it never disappointed. The rest of the cocktail menu looked amazing too—my wife gave her approval! The staff is fantastic, and the atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends and family. I highly recommend bringing a group and making a night of it. I’m already looking forward to coming back the next time I’m in town.

I really wanted to love Rustic Root — but overall, it missed the mark for me. I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law on Long Island, and we landed on Rustic Root based on his recommendation. It’s tucked into a strip mall (parking was easy, which is always a plus), and the interior is actually quite charming. I especially loved the rolling pin dividers — such a fun design touch. That said, the vibe felt a little off. The lighting was a bit too bright for a dinner setting, and since it wasn’t very busy, the space lacked energy. Service was friendly and cordial, but definitely inconsistent. There were long stretches where we felt forgotten — not a huge issue when you're catching up with family, but still something you notice. Now for the food, which was the biggest letdown of the evening. We started with the Crispy Artichokes — lemon & Calabrian chili aioli — and these were easily the highlight of the meal. The breading was light and crisp, and the aioli had just the right kick. I’d absolutely order those again. We also shared the Cornbread with maple syrup and Amagansett sea salt. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the South, so I’ve become a bit of a cornbread snob. This version leaned dry and cakey, and I didn’t get much maple flavor from the butter. Just okay. My sister went with the Crispy Organic Chicken Milanese with burrata, cherry tomatoes, arugula, and aged balsamic. It looked good on paper but was underwhelming in execution. The chicken was a little dry, and while her expectations were shaped by another local favorite where she regularly orders this dish, she gave it a fair shot — and still wasn’t a fan. Now, my entree — the Roasted Local Cauliflower — was a real miss. I genuinely love vegetables and am a big fan of well-executed vegetarian and vegan dishes, so I had high hopes. The dish came with mushrooms, farro, and a maple sherry reduction. The farro and mushrooms had solid flavor (though I’d have loved a better mix of mushrooms). But the cauliflower itself was a letdown. It arrived as one large chunk — maybe even a full head — and didn’t seem truly roasted. The interior was wet and soft, while the exterior had minimal browning, except for a burned patch. It honestly felt like it had been boiled and then tossed in the oven for a quick char. I would have preferred it cut into smaller florets for a proper roast — or even better, served as a cauliflower steak for more even cooking and better texture. On the bright side, my cocktail — the Lust for Life (tequila, mezcal, passionfruit, lime, and a Tajín rim) — was another standout. Balanced, refreshing, and creative. I enjoyed it, though not quite enough to order a second round or return just for the drinks. All in all, Rustic Root has style and potential, but the food and service didn’t quite come together. I really hoped this would be a hit — but for me, it fell short.

Google
First time here and unfortunately won’t be returning. My sister and her boys been here more than once and raved about it. It didn’t meet the hype I was told from my sister. We ordered the steak and eggs , chocolate pancake cake kids menus, scramble with cheese kids menu, side of bacon, side of French fries and an alcoholic lavender drink. The bacon was undercook, not too crispy. We didn’t ask them to return it since the waiter was super busy. We had to sit outside which we didn’t mind since the weather was gorgeous. The biggest disappointment was the steak. The steak was already cut which made it dry. The sauce they used didn’t go well with the steak. My sister told me back then the steak wasn’t precut and the sauce was better. The scramble eggs with cheese was missing salt. The best thing about the food today was the fries and I knew it was frozen fries. It was as such an unfortunate experience.

Google
First time visit based on reviews. Service is great, food is outstanding. Comfortable atmosphere. Had the chicken burger and salad, and my friend had the French dip and fries. On the pricey side. Will be back.

Google
My wife and I had a really nice dinner at Rustic Roots. The food was fresh and well prepared, and we left feeling satisfied without feeling overly full. The rice balls were good, crispy on the outside and creamy inside. The sauce it comes with it is a perfect fit. The branzino was cooked perfectly, and the teriyaki wings had great flavor. Even the mocktails were refreshing and well made. Our waitress, a tall, slim blonde, was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The service was good, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I’d definitely come back and would recommend it to others!

Google
The atmosphere of this place is quite nice. I liked that it had actual parking and not on some main street where you have to figure out parking for 5 minutes. The food was really good. I had a rigatoni alla vodka with some burrata on top. I thought their dishes were good, but deifnitely on the expensive side. They could drop the cost by a few dollars less. As an appetizer, we had this cornbread. Compared to other cornbreads I've had, this one was extremely dry. So much that my friend started choking on whatever little particles for the last 5-8 minutes while chugging down water. I do think it was still a pretty good experience, but definitely not worth the expense of the food. Especially since some of the dishes are just standard and easy to make at home.

Google
Excellent brunch, service, and vibe. Certain menu items may land with you better than others so a repeat visit is recommended. The only feedback is the restaurant can often feel cold temperature wise, especially on days when it's cold outside as well. The staff is friendly, waitress/waiters absolutely a delight, and I really enjoyed my breakfast.

Yelp
Always a great little spot for a quick meal. Cozy & delicious- staff is lovely every visit and highly recommend the restaurant

Yelp
I don't know how this place has such high reviews. We live down the street from it, and every time we go it's disappointing. It looks like Instagram worthy food but it's not anything special taste wise and is overpriced!! The cocktails are good and so is the service though.

Yelp
I've had Rustic Root on my bookmark probably for about seven years, but never had a chance to dine there. I was glad to finally check it out. I really enjoyed the look and vibe of the restaurant. And the food was good as expected. We shared the Crispy Artichokes, which I thought was excellent. The chili aioli sauce combined with the artichokes perfectly. For my entree, I had the Scallops. The presentation was good, but I felt like the dish lacked a little bit of flavor. It was a little on the bland side. We also had a couple of cocktails that I thought were really good - the Lavender Haze and the Turn the Beat Around. I recommend both. We ended the night with the Apple Crips dessert, which we both enjoyed.

Yelp
I met up with some friends who were visiting from out of town and I enjoyed my meal here, the decor was fun and modern, the food overall was good but there were some dishes I liked more than others. The food: Roasted Beets- candied pistachios, mandarin orange feta, red wine vinaigrette. This was shockingly good and refreshing and perfect for summer. I thought this dish was suck a winner, I even asked the waiter if we could get extra candied pistachios, so good. Cacio E Pepe Rice Balls- truffle parmesan aioli. I though these sounded better than they were, they had a very mac and cheese vibe to them. Overall, they were ok. Organic Crispy Chicken Wings- Korean bbq house-made ranch. I thought these were ok, the sweetness wasn't terrible but i felt the chicken itself needed some seasoning. Zucchini Chips- Greek yogurt & dill dipping sauce. I normally love zucchini chips, but felt these needed a little work. I wish the chips were crispier and the sauce, while it tasted good, had a weird sweetness I wasn't expecting. Pork Chop- This was a new item on the menu since their online menu still says braised short rib but this pork chop was amazing and perfectly cooked. It tasted exactly like a perfectly cooked and seasoned pork souvlaki. Crispy Organic Chicken Milanese- burrata, cherry tomatoes, arugula, grana padano, aged balsamic. This was really good. The burrata and the crispy chicken paired really nicely together. This dish really is a safe dish but all the elements of the dish were executed perfectly.

Yelp
Stopped by Rustic Root for brunch with my friend. I tried their espresso and my friend ordered a pink drink both were good, balanced, and well-crafted. The espresso drink was a perfect way to open my eyes I was sleepy and it totally woke me up. The ricotta toast and the egg sandwich with side of home fries were good and filling. I really liked the home fries but the egg sandwich was really just eggs on a bun but I expected an actual sandwich. Service was good as our host was attentive, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable. The restaurant itself is pretty inside without being overly fussy. One of the best perks was plenty of parking, which you know I love it as I don't like the hassle of finding a spot. I want to try their dinner menu will be back for more next time.

Yelp
The ambiance of farm to table and the decor were amazing. Even more so was the food. Great seasonal choices and the flavor profile was amazing especially for the French onion soup. Soooo good! Great place for date nights.

Yelp
We were in the neighborhood and this came up on Yelp as a sponsored result. It had great reviews so we thought we would try it. This restaurant is located in the corner of a strip mall. The inside is a decent size and has rustic charm. There are also tables outside if you would prefer. We were seated upon arrival and were given water right away. A server came over within minutes to take our drink order and gave us a few more minutes to look over the menu. She was very attentive. Our food came out promptly and was delicious. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant

Yelp
Arrived on a Saturday 12pm and was surprised with how empty the restaurant was because of all of their great reviews. Staff was all very pleasant from hostess to our waitress. The food was good but not great. Nothing to return to. The toast with whipped cheese was very good and we got biscuit and gravy. The gravy wasn't hot it was barely warm, not as flavorful as I'd like. Biscuits were quite good. Overall a decent meal but nothing I'll drive over there for

Yelp
Best wings I've ever had in my life. I don't know what came over me, but I inhaled these after I ate my work lunch and two nut-filled chocolate-covered dates. All my friends call me a skinny b****, so I don't know what happened--it's like I blacked out. All I know is that the sauce on the Korean BBQ organic wings gave me an out-of-body experience. And the chicken???? I need to know what these chickens are doing because they were (dare I say) MOIST. And me? Well, I literally flew to Planet Centauri, took a pit stop at Jupiter and had mai tais with Jesus, then levitated directly to heaven to shake hands with Robin Williams and then crashed down back to Earth, into my body to lick my fingers. For the love of god (he told me this), please do not sleep on whatever is in that damn green sauce. I don't even remember my name, even though it's in this review--IDK her. I'm in my luteal phase so maybe it's just that. Sorry for my feet in the background, these gave me the sweats.

Yelp
First the food. Had the tuna appetizer with chips which was humongous and delicious. The chips were crispy even with the dressing on them and the tuna was delicious and very fresh. I took home half. Just the right amount of dressing on it and seasoning. Service was very good and attentive.my friend enjoyed her dish too. It was a bit noisy during the lunch hour rush but you can still have a conversation. It is an upscale diner

Yelp
This restaurant is great! My husband and I did date night here tonight and we were really happy with our experience. The service was kind and attentive. The ambiance is really nice, recommend getting a booth if you can. My November pineapple tequila cocktail was great and my husband really enjoyed his old fashioned. The filet was cooked perfectly medium and the sauce really flavorful and tasty. The mashed potatoes weren't as garlicky as we were hoping they would be but still really good. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The branzino Calabrian chile sauce was awesome! The branzino was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The scalloped potatoes and zucchini were also particularly good. The apple bread pudding was really flavorful particularly with the butterscotch in the cream and the portion large. Great time! Definitely plan on going back again to try different things (though what we had was great!)
google avatar

Yelp
We tried the French Toast, Biscuits and Gravy, cornbread, and some cocktails. The food was good, however the cornbread was not. The cocktails were also good, as was service. The ambiance was bright, typical for the demographic there.

Yelp
The service was excellent. Food was top notch. Drinks were excellent as well. Highly recommend the ricotta toast with prosciutto.

Yelp
Food was delayed and took a bit for us to get but it tasted delicious. Waiter was nice frequently apologizing for the wait.

Yelp
Extremely overpriced for what it is. Food was fine but nothing special especially for the price. Not a ton of options either. Wouldn't go back.

Yelp
2.5 I really wanted to like this place but maybe they excel at brunches. Went last night and had one of the worst - if not the worst- pasta dishes I've had in my life. How do you mess up pasta? It was literally pasta with zucchini tomatoes and shrimp. No flavor whatsoever. And even asked for salt and pepper to save it. Just bland and in a pool of water. Shrimp seemed overcooked. I do not believe in sending dishes back or sounding like a Karen, but the manager (I'm assuming) did eye my plate a couple of times and said nothing. Waitress asked to box my almost full plate but said nothing. If anyone from the restaurant reads these reviews I would ask them to take that item off menu it was so bad. Or at least have the cook taste it before they serve it. The drinks ($15) were very good at least and named after songs. My partner's streak frites were good. Wish I had ordered that. Would not be back unfortunately.

Yelp
I came here for brunch on a reservation and was seated super quickly! I've been to rustic root many years ago and was in town to come by again and it's definitely a cute spot for meals with friends! Our server was super welcoming and attentive and the egg sandwich was good! It was a little cold but overall not bad. We didn't try any of their seasonal drinks but they looked like fun and might have to stop by to try them too!
google avatar

Yelp
Sat st the bar and had a great Chicken Burger - one of the best I have had. Staff were pleasant and service was fast.

Yelp
Delicious Old Fashioned (my mom raves) with super large ice cube made with Bourbon. My mom said, "It's excellent Bourbon!" A platter full of Brussel Sprouts appetizer (in season) that are amazing. They are roasted with honey, almonds, Tabasco, mint, sea salt and Greek yogurt! Mushroom Tacos: Roasted Mushrooms, Nappa cabbage, chipotle solo, quest fresco, pickled onions and cilantro Hudson Valley Duck Breast: crispy skin dick, lentils, duck confit, onions, braised huckleberries. Wonderful and unique.

Yelp
Randomly decided to eat here while we were in the area. We've never been here and it was the only restaurant that had outdoor seating. We had our dog with us, so it was perfect. The server was attentive and gave the dog some water. The service was quick and the tables were clean, as was the outdoor area. Here's what we ordered: - crispy chicken sandwich: arugula, hot honey, sunny side egg, ciabatta bread and fries - skillet cornbread: local honey, butter, amagansett sea salt - organic chicken wings: pineapple, teriyaki glaze, house made ranch - bellini or mimosa - bloody mary We were here at brunch time and the food was delicious as were the cocktails. I plan to come back and try other things on the menu.

Yelp
Another fantastic meal, as always, with fantastic service at Rustic Root. First, I'd like to shout out to Fatima, our beautiful and wonderful server, who gave great suggestions, great service, and was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We look forward to seeing Fatima again! Now for the food: Crispy Brussel Sprouts - Perfect Garden Salad to share: So fresh and tasty Paccheri: A pasta with ground beef and sausage - A best ever tasty entree! Torchietti: Another pasta, with chicken, zuchinni and roasted tomatoes in a delicious garlic sauce. Amazingly delicious. Dessert: Well we had no room left , but the pumpkin cheesecake sounded so delicious we ordered one to go!! We finished with a cup of hot coffee each. This was a perfect dinner, a perfect evening, and made even more perfect by the wonderful Fatima. We're looking forward to returning!!

Yelp
Came for a Fri night dinner and was pleasantly surprised! Heard about this place from friends and happy we accepted their invitation. Such a cute little place and very rustic inside (which is exactly what I love) their drinks had creative names, recommend their lavender haze if you're a gin and lavender fan! Chill vibe and saw some ppl with their kids, wish they had outdoor seating but they don't. Their pasta is homemade too. It was pretty so our server Mikaela was busy but made sure to pay attention to us. Started with the cáprese garlic bread which had chicken and came with marinara sauce which was a great touch and no wonder it's one of the most popular to order on yelp! We had the skirt steak, organic grass fed burger, scallops and homemade spaghetti bolognese and all the dishes were honestly cooked to perfection! Then for dessert we had the orange pound cake! Never had an orange flavor pound cake and wish they sold this regularly in bakeries! They give you your bill in a very nice brown leather folder that gives you a nice rustic vibe which I appreciated! Def will be back!

Yelp
Seven of us went for dinner and everyone of us were really pleased with this restaurant. The location was easy to access, ample parking and we were greeted upon arrival & seated. The servers were attentive & professional, the atmosphere was comfortable and the food was spectacular! The menu was extensive and the beverage menu also included some excellent non-alcoholic choices. This restaurant is a choice we will absolutely return to & bring our friends to discover it.

Yelp
Gio is the best bartender!! He made great drinks and the food was delicious as well :)

Yelp
Not what I remember. Diner food! not worth the trip or the price. I would never return.

Yelp
we went for the first seating on Valentine's Day for the first time and this place was amazing! Even though the tufted velvet upholstery could probably use a redo, you can tell they steam clean it, and the whole place was absolutely spotless, including the bathrooms!!! our waitress, Sam was very energetic and gave us plenty of recommendations based on her three years of experience there. we started with the brussels sprouts for appetizer and they were so good and small. She told us the chef sources them small because they aren't as bitter as large brussels sprouts.. #funfact my husband got the short rib and I got the petite filet mignon and everything came out. Perfect! The drinks were delicious and the Apple crumb dessert was the perfect ending to a perfect date night. We will be back to try brunch! Bravo!!!

Marie-Helene G.

Yelp
Disappointed ! The steak and the pork chop were both very dry and it was served with very little vegetables. We were expecting more for the price.

Yelp
While visiting a friend in Long Island, I was directed to Rustic Root as a can't miss for dinner. Ambience - a very nice contemporary wooden "rustic" dining room. Food - I ordered: Braised Short Rib - melt in your mouth tender short rib over a bed of mashed potatoes. Comfort food at its best 5/5 Grilled Octopus - crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. 4/5 Ice Cream Sampler - I am lactose intolerant, but even I couldn't resist. 4/5 TL/DR: this place is the real deal for locally sourced fresh food.

Yelp
On August 24th, around 5:30pm, my wife and I went to dinner at Rustic Root in Woodbury. I was a fan of their hamburgers for quite a while and was excited to eat there once again. I don't usually eat the hamburger buns so I set it aside and went straight for the burger. In a moment of weakness I decided to eat the bun and turned it over. To my disgust there, sitting as if placed on the bun itself, was a lone pubic hair. A pubic hair! How sick do you have to be to betray the trust of a customer to do something as awful as this? I wanted to vomit on the spot. I called my server, Sam, (Samantha) over and pointed to the bun with the pubic hair in the center. She was horrified as well and quickly took the plate away. I will never set foot in this restaurant again. There was no doubt that this was a deliberate act of depravity on the part of one of the food preparers. Avoid this establishment at all costs. Who knows what else they do to the food to unsuspecting customers.

Yelp
Great cocktails. Appetizers are our usual go to since they're decently sharable sizes. I love that the menu changes periodically. We usually sit at the bar so there's obviously someone always within ear shot - service has always been top notch whenever we've gone. Place is always busy, which is great! Miss living so close as it's not as easy to get there, but we always make an effort when we're in the area.

Staci D.

Yelp
Delicious! My girlfriend & I were out for the day shopping & just fell into it. It was one of the best FRENCH DIP sandwiches I have ever had. The meats were like butter, dipping sauce to die for. Did you ever have fries that had no old grease so fresh. She had the egg sandwich which was not your typical bread & eggs, she could not stop raving about the potatoes. And her cocktail was so refreshing. The service was excellent. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Crystal P.

Yelp
OMG the burger here. I'm always happy when I get a burger and it's just so delicious. Came here on a rainy Saturday night with our boy, who loved his pasta, while we enjoyed our burgers. Fries were good too and we want to come back for the truffle fries. Service was great, enjoyed my mocktail :) Ambiance was great, really nice place. In a nice shopping center and a carvel closeby as we headed home :P
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
5 star potential but many things slightly off. A cocktail that didn't taste right the first time. Pasta a bit undercooked. A burger with a hard burnt outer surface. The service was great and the quality of the food seemed good. Might try again.
google avatar

Casey P.

Yelp
Always good food and always kind staff. Once they had green curry brussels sprouts with a yogurt dipping sauce and boy, was I blown away. They will normally have something really fun and random like that like the cornbread (with the most delectable butter), and it's always an experience just to try it.

Yelp
Cute brunch place in Woodbury! I love the little glass jug that they give you with your coffee and that you can make a reservation! My husband and I shared the Organic Chicken Wings and I liked that they were baked, not fried. The pineapple and teriyaki glaze gave them a slight sweet taste but the creamy house made Ranch made the appetizer even better! I've been dying to try Biscuits & Gravy and I definitely chose the right place to order it! The gravy was the best part! It was creamy, warm, and flavorful. The sausage was diced up into small pieces to make it easier to scoop onto the biscuit. The sunny side eggs were a nice touch so you can get some protein and added to the creamy texture of the entree. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place is consistently good with not just delicious food, but great drinks and service. Lovely staff always willing to help and make your evening enjoyable. Very highly reccomend !!!!

Yelp
My daughter and I had a delicious lunch with warm delicious flavors which were also healthy and well prepared. She had the chicken burger which was moist and flavorful and my cauliflower was scrumptious. So satisfying!! A nice warm meal accompanied by a drink to warm you up on a chilly day is the cider and cinnamon.

Yelp
I think they've confused the term rustic with repulsive. They made the top 5...top 5 worst meals I ever had. Hummus was just mashed canned chickpeas dryer than a desert. No tahini just dry mushy chickpeas. An extra $3 for old vegetables ready for the trash (carrots had a white coating on it). Chicken wings chewier than bubble gum. Fries with more salt than a salt mine. Grilled cheese with the cheapest American Swiss that tasted like vomit. Pita bread that was cold almost raw. Biscuits and gravy was just no. The gravy was just water with raw flour. Biscuits were raw. Eggs were slathered in canola frying oil. And the sausage chunks added to the flour water made the whole dish look like dog vomit. We ate here once 7 years ago and it was meh. I forgot why I took so long to come back. Now I know why and never again.

Yelp
I was the 1st to arrive for a reservation of 5. They sat me down immediately without any wait. I saw a group of 3 people who were checking for availability, but the place was packed. It was 7 pm, and it was a full house. The place did not start emptying until after 930pm. The wait staff and hostesses are friendly and offered us tap or bottled water. We ordered drinks and they did take a little time to arrive. Again, the place was full. We decided to order side dishes to start. The duck empanadas are really good. They came with a green sauce that complimented it and sone purple Cole slaw that was light. Did not feel any mayonnaise, which I preferred. We also ordered beet salad. It was so good to NY friends that they ordered a 2nd plate. We also got the Brussels sprouts, which were quite nice. Everything was fresh so far. We all ordered separate entrees, and we tasted each others items. Roasted chicken, which I had, was done the way I like, and the skin was crispy. The mash potatoes that came with it had a nice creamy texture. My friends also indulged in the mash potatoes as well. My meal also came with Sauteed spinach, which I also enjoyed. My friends ordered 2 portions of 1/2 rack of mango chipotle ribs and the braised shirt Rib. We added some mushrooms as a side, which was really good. Finally ended having cheesecake for dessert. It was Italian style, moist and creamy. I can say for sure I enjoyed the evening. It did appear the wait staff was a little overwhelmed at times, but they were cool under pressure. This was my 3rd visit to Rustic Root and most likely more to come.

Yelp
Great service with good quality food. A bit pricy though...a mocktail was $10. The arancini was definitely my favorite app as it was a different take on the regular ones with red sauce. The cornbread was good but could have come with butter or some kind of sauce. The steak frites was a good cut of beef but needed salt. The rigatoni was actually a much bigger portion than I thought and was cooked well. Probably wouldn't come back since I don't live in the area and nothing truly stood out at this price point but it was a good last minute decision!

Yelp
Always a great time coming here. The food is fantastic, try the wings! I went for the chipotle chicken salad this time around and it didn't disappoint! Friendly staff and the ambience is great. Swing by when you get a chance!

Yelp
Disappointed to say the least. My husband and I were frequent regulars to Rustic Root years ago and had one of our first dates there. Over the years the menu has steered away from what it used to be, but we decided to go back for a family brunch today. We will not be returning. To start, our waitress asked "do you want any drinks other than water?" Well, we didn't even have water, lol. No introduction either. Just generally dry and not friendly. When sharing plates were set down, they were put in a stack in front of the small toddler lol. Glad they didn't end up on the floor! My husband ordered a bottle of sparkling water for himself. He was just brought a single glass, which was topped off by another server/bus boy with regular tap water throughout the meal. So it wasn't sparkling anymore! Food was mediocre and incredibly overpriced. How are the chicken wings cheaper than French toast lol?? The Silver dollar pancakes were just normal pancakes (not the size of a silver dollar... as the name might suggest). A member of our party finished their cocktail, the waitress asked "would you like another drink?" they replied no, and... the empty glass was just left on the table for the rest of the meal. Service was 0 stars, but I gave 3 stars because the food was fine. Hostesses were lovely and welcoming. Everything else fell flat. Disappointed to see a place that we used to love fall so far from what it was.

Yelp
Painfully average food. There were no special takeaways for a brunch meal on the pricier side. They ask for reservations right as you walk in so make sure you have one. They were quite busy on a Sunday afternoon. Our waitress was nice, but it took quite long for her to give us our check because she disappeared halfway through her shift. We started off with the organic chicken wings which were just fine. Nothing good or bad to say about them. I got the egg sandwich, which looked very different to the pictures of it on Yelp, but I assumed they just changed or ran out of the normal bread. The meal was super filling (it also came with a vinaigrette side salad), and it was pretty tasty -- but honestly a very average and easy sandwich anyone can make. The bacon and bleu salad was also very average, but it's a salad so, we weren't expecting much. We also tried the grass-fed beef burger which was close to $20 for a burger -- but hey, you know they have to up-charge if they claim it's organic! The patty was very very dry, and there was NO sauce on it to combat the lack of flavor. Fries were over cooked and unseasoned. Lastly, we shared the blueberry pancakes which were yet again, just ok. Nothing special or extraordinary that would make me want to come again.

Yelp
I went to the Rustic Root and I will say I don't regret the decision to go here. The spicy chicken sandwich was by far my favorite, but the French toast were really good too. If you're into espresso martinis, they make a good one here, as well. The restaurant itself lives up to the rustic ambiance, which I like and our waiter was SUPER nice. If you're ever in the area or need a recommendation, I think I'd add Rustic Root to your list - but you have to try that chicken sandwich!

Yelp
Went here on a Friday night with the hubby. Made last minute reservations. We wanted to try this place because we ate at their sister restaurant Blackbird a few months ago and loved it. The ambiance was lovely- very cozy, elegant but not intimidating, loved the tufted booths and dim lighting. And the acoustics were perfect. Did not have to shout at all which I love. Our server was great; he made us Hugo Spritzes that weren't on the cocktail menu and they came out delicious. We were given the summer food menu. We got the spiced chickpea hummus w pita and veggies for an appetizer. The pitas were so crispy yet still pillowy soft. And you could the hummus was house made and so tasty. Husband said this was the best chicken burger he's ever had, almost tasted like an actual beef burger. And my half chicken was so flavorful. The skin was so crispy and the meat was juicy and moist. We couldn't leave without getting the coffee cake bread pudding. We saw it pass us to other tables at least five times so we knew it'd be a crowd pleaser and it was! So warm and sugary. We would definitely come back here again to try the fall menu!!

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my team and we were shocked at how few items were on the menu and how expensive everything was. I understand that it's farm to table but the small plates were prices of entree menus at a dinner restaurant. The food was delicious but I can't say it's worth the price. The chicken sandwich was decent. The burger was good. The quesadilla was good. The truffle fries were amazing. What stood out was the zucchini pizza, that was really good and probably the only thing I'd come back for and pay for.

Yelp
Rustic Root is a very cute restaurant. It has a farm to table vibe with really fresh, homemade dishes. The quality of the food is great, however, the prices are quite high. A few years ago, Rustic Root went through a major organizational change (new ownership, new chef, etc.). Unfortunately, this led to some great dishes being removed from the menu, totally new staff, and happy hour no longer being offered (they started offering it again, however, the deal used to be $7-8 per drink and now it's $12 which isn't really a deal...). Overall, I still would recommend Rustic Root for it's cute interior, good service, and homemade dishes. A few standouts are: spinach and artichoke dip, their wings, burger, cornbread, soups, and any flatbreads they offer.
