If you are looking for a fun place for a date night that is a little more pricey, this is your place. The establishment has a cool vibe. The menu is unique and rotates. My husband and I go here often. They have a good beverage selection. The service has been ok... most of the time. We typically sit at the bar.

Food was great, service was awesome. All food was five stars except the poutine was 4 stars for me. If you want food for a reasonable price.

While visiting the area for work, this place came highly recommended, so I had to stop in for dinner. It's a very nice downtown spot, and the atmosphere showed promise. Unfortunately, that's where it ended. I was very hungry, so I ordered a Burrata Cheese plate appetizer and a Rustica burger. The app arrived first, and it looked great. It had marinated grape tomatoes, spinach pesto on top of the burrata cheese, balsamic reduction, and grilled bread. The bread, cheese, and pesto were delicious, but the balsamic reduction tasted a lot more like red wine vinegar, and when combined with the tomatoes, it was incredibly acidic. Not balanced at all. It really needed a true balsamic reduction, which is usually thicker and a little sweet. That would have balanced it out correctly. Next, the burger arrived. It also looked great. It was a beef patty on a fresh and nicely toasted bin with mahon & cheddar cheeses, a caesar aioli, and rustic fries. I ordered it medium-rare, and it was close, but a solid medium. The burger was juicy, and the meat tasted great. However, once again, another simple mistake ruined it. It was so heavily salted for some reason, it was hard to finish. I added some ketchup to offset some of it, and it helped, but not enough. It had more salt than the fries, and the aioli had almost no flavor at all. So, why didn't I say anything to my server? (Bartender) Easy, once the food was delivered (each course), not once did anyone come by where I was sitting at the bar and ask how anything was. It wasn't at all busy. There were only a couple of other people sitting at the whole bar, and maybe 3 tables sat. All of the plates were still sitting on the bar when I left. I had stacked each set as I finished, but no one made any effort to clear anything the whole time I was there. Only after everything was pushed away and I had my credit card out did the bartender come over to give me the check. Overall, I feel this place has potential and should have been a great experience as the menu looked great and appeared to have a nice combination of flavors, if executed correctly. The mistakes made were simple, but unfortunately, they were very noticeable and ruined the experience. Hopefully, they can get them fixed.

Man, the last two weeks I had been struggling. My wife and I needed a good pick me up. We are so happy that we found this place. We've been in Fargo for a few months and we love downtown. But I needed a change from the wannabe hipster places. Rustica is much more my vibe. Instead of chasing coolness, it's the inspiration for cool. Elegant but understated. Good lively crowd enjoying their evening without being obnoxious. My mocktail was so tasty and complex. The Spanish meatballs were savory with a small hint of sweetness. The buratta with tomatoes, so many hints of flavor. The French Farmer Pizza so to unique! The whole staff was amazing. They were attentive but they you breathe. They all seemed to work well together, staying busy but never rushed. They didn't seem to hate their jobs, such a difference from most places. This will be our go-to place now!

Google
This is SUCH a great place if you are lactose intolerant, they usually have a least one dish that is vegan that you can add protein to, or you can order dishes without dairy and it doesn’t compromise the flavor or integrity of the dish. No bland, sauceless chicken or dry rice here! The best part is they usually always have a vegan dessert that isn’t a sorbet, it’s delicious and satisfying and rare to get such treat at a restaurant.

Michele W.

Google
Always a wonderful experience dining here, whether eating on the tavern side or eatery side. My duck was delicious and the burrata cheese plate is amazing. Also, I've been here several times with someone with a dairy allergy and they are very accommodating and had quite a few options for her.

Ryan L.

Google
First off before I start, the food had good flavors but, the steak she ordered was very, very chewy. It took a lot to chew the steak. It had a prepared in advance taste to the food and warmed up as it is ordered. Sorry, I've been a chef for 35 years and the food was ok at best. The price was very over price for the quality and very small portions of food you get. Now the service from the staff was amazing, it's just not worth the time to go when the food is so mediocre at best. 😢

Eric D.

Google
Excellent restaurant. Freshly made food, well thought out combinations, very friendly, attentive service—and the prices are extremely reasonable to boot (especially during happy hour). I really don’t think I can say anything nicer without sounding hyperbolic. I can say that I came all the way from St. Cloud on my brother’s advice specifically to try this restaurant, and I wasn’t disappointed. Come during happy hour and try a pizza on the side, it’s worth it.

Yelp
My friends and I had a really delicious meal at Rustica this weekend. We went on a Friday night without a reservation to the bar/lounge room. Being from out of town, we were a little confused upon walking in and no one greeted us. We stood awkwardly by waiting for a table to open and just claimed one once it became available. Would be helpful if someone had welcomed us or if they had a "seat yourself" sign. Anyway, we probably only waited 10-20 minutes for our table. The food was delicious! Our trio got the chorizo tagliatelle, the walleye, and the potato pizza. We were all really happy with the flavors and quality of the meal.

Judy L.

Yelp
My son and daughter-in-law joined my best friend and I to celebrate our 83rd birthdays. I think the server was fairly new but she was quite courteous and helpful. The food was excellent as always and served quickly. We all ordered something from the happy hour selection and was very good and we all went home with a taste for later. Highly recommend the service and the food served!!

Yelp
Food was good, service was quick. We went ~5pm on a Tuesday so didn't need a reservation, wasn't super packed & it was happy hour so our pizzas were on $10/each. Nice vibe with some lovely paintings on the walls. Appreciated the vegetarian pizza options but wish they had more than one vegetarian entree

Yelp
Rustica is the perfect special occasion place to dine. The atmosphere is comfortable and the food is delicious here. Dress is business casual to upper class if you're wanting. You'll fit in fine either way. The total must for a dining experience if you're in the area. Reservations would be a good idea.

Yelp
I was impressed at the level of culinary inventiveness, rivaling restaurants in much larger, competitive cities. The lavender lemonade was colourful and tasteful in both senses of the word. Pork saltimbocca! Who knew that pork would succumb so perfectly to the sublime tastes of saltimbocca's capers and lemon. Incredibly fresh and delightful. The medjool dates appetizer was likewise innovative, a clever combination of unexpected flavors with chorizo and bacon. Even the bread plate was unusual and new, with little rounds that tasted like Yorkshire pudding, and a chili cornbread with tomato jam. The atmosphere is so attractive with high ceilings, a rustic yellow brick wall, dark wood and paintings throughout. I felt so satisfied after this meal - great flavors, nice surroundings and a really pleasant evening out.

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite restaurants. Staff are so helpful but best yet is the food. I haven't had anything I didn't like. Prices are very much for every budget.

Yelp
A "potato pizza" that contained no potato; cabbage rolls so tough that they could not be cut with a knife. And 90 minutes-plus from being seated to being served. Don't waste your time, there are other, better places to eat in the area.

Nicole E.

Yelp
We originally tried to grab an early dinner here and they were closed. Hours are pretty condensed being from 5-10p. We were forced to go somewhere else however, we went back the next day and I am so glad we did. The place is cute and has a very relaxing vibe. Their happy hour is awesome! We were able to try many appetizers and a pizza for a really reasonable price. The Spanish meatballs are out of this world delicious. The pizzas are really good as well. We were in town for 2 days and came here 2 times we loved it so much. Highly recommend giving this place a try, we will definitely come back any time we are in town.

Johanna N.

Yelp
We have traveled all over the world, and Rustica has been our favorite restaurant, bar none. The food, from the salad to the dessert, resulted in an explosion of flavor. We commented that this restaurant would be a huge success wherever it was, even in New York City. What a find this was! We arrived late in the evening, but our waiter and the rest of the staff were inviting and hospitable, even though we kept them past their closing time. The ambiance was modern, but inviting. Altogether a wonderful experience.

Mgnahn G.

Yelp
They have the best happy hour in town, hands down! M-F, 5-6. $10 personal pizzas, discount on apps & glasses of wine. The chorizo stuffed dates & pizza were fantastic!

Yelp
My daughter and I just stopped in based upon yelp reviews. Definitely the food was very good as was the service. We had the Margarita pizza, no complaints definitely recommend the place. The menu was amazing.

Yelp
Not my first choice but overall it was a nice experience. I probably still wouldn't make this. My first choice just because I wasn't wild in the slightest.
google avatar

Yelp
Great little spot with a fancier atmosphere. I like to go during happy hour, to the tavern side, when their pizza and beer is discounted but still delicious. The staff is always gracious. For the vegans: they have house-made vegan cheese that you can substitute on any pizza, and they usually have a daily vegan special. I got introduced to Rustica when they had a six-course vegan meal special what was phenomenal and really popular. Hopefully they do something like that again!

Yelp
Ambiance and food were great also the service. A little Pricey, but all in all a great experience

Yelp
I arrived here at Rustica to eat dinner with my daughter. The restaurant smelled delicious and we were there for the Moorhead Winter Art Walk which Rustica was a participating restaurant in this event! Me and my daughter firstly went to the Eatery side of Rustica. I was a bit lost as nobody immediately came up to me and my daughter to greet us. We waited for just a half a minute and a gentleman behind a podium appeared- for which I asked if we should seat ourselves or wait here to be seated. He quickly said that you wait here to be seated. He then asked me if we had made a reservation. Of course, I said no. (Because I came to this family-friendly Art Walk and wanted to purchase dinner since this facility is a participating establishment!). He then asked if we had "tried over at the Tavern side of the restaurant firstly". I did look at the gentleman curiously as there were several EMPTY tables on this side of the restaurant and I had not known right away that were two parts to Rustica - including the Eatery portion and then the Tavern portion down the hallway. I said "no we had not", he responded that "yes it is actually just down the hall there and they have the same menu as ours". At this point I figured that we were not welcome at this side of Rustica, (because this was the first thing I heard from the employee after asking if we should wait to be seated or not, with no explanation as to why we should go to the Tavern side), and I then agreed to try to purchase supper on the Tavern side of Rustica for me and my young daughter. We then went to the Tavern side of Rustica, down the hallway (which the gentleman had directed us towards). We entered the Tavern side-through this hallway-which seemed to be the back side of the restaurant, since the very front entrance of this Tavern-with doors leading outside- was on the other side of this room. I then obviously noticed that the tables seemed filled with customers except for just one near the front door entrance. Me and my young daughter walked through the full room to the front entrance and then waited at the entrance doors. We waited there for about four to five minutes. During this time, a waitress walked past us ( for which I had made eye contact with several times- meaning she noticed we were standing there and waiting for service) three times - walking past us and then back to the main bar area. This waitress seemingly ignored me and my daughter and attended to her customers all while noticing that we were standing there and were waiting for service and just acknowledgement, at this point. This waitress then was at the main bar (talking to other employees) and me and my daughter approached her to ask if we should seat ourselves or continue to stand here and wait. She responded that we should seat ourselves. So therefore me and daughter started to go towards the only empty table that I had seen by the front entrance. This waitress then proceeded to say that this empty table was actually reserved for someone else. I then asked her if this place was completely full then, (because I did not see any empty tables). The waitress took a quick glance around the room and then told me that "it appears so". At this point, I said "okay great", and then left through the front entrance with my daughter. I felt as if my patronage was not wanted throughout this entire experience. The lack of warm welcoming and hospitality was disappointing. There was no explanation of why we should go to the Tavern side of this restaurant. This waitress on the Tavern side of the restaurant did not seem interested in helping/servicing me and my young daughter. I am not sure how else I could feel after being completely rejected on both sides of this establishment. We will never return to this restaurant due to the lack of service, explanations, hospitality, and welcoming service that we have come to expect in the Midwest states. We ended our experience in Moorhead with a bad taste in my mouth and an offensive opinion. Rustica, please be more aware of your employees creating an approachable experience for every customer that enters that front door.

Yelp
We had a delicious meal and good service. They did advertise a GF option, but when one member requested it, came back to say it wasn't available in a GF option even though the menu said otherwise. They were also out of bread. ‍Anyway, our table ordered a variety of menu items and all tasted delicious.

Yelp
Why did I not know about Rustica before? This will be a forever stop when I am in Fargo for work. Roasted vegetable board (with homemade hummus, spinach pesto, and tomato chimichurri - spectacular! Glass of red wine (reasonable pricing) and finished with the coconut pana cotta - so good. I need to explore more of their menu.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate our anniversary dinner. The old exposed brick creates a nice atmosphere. They have a good beer list and I really liked the Casa de Pom cocktail. We ordered the scallops, walleye, and frites, all of which were delicious. Save room for the churros - they were the perfect ending to a great meal. The wait staff were all working hard and very friendly. The social distancing was great, too.

Yelp
The drinks were delicious. Outdoor dining area was cute and it was the perfect day for it. Chorizo stuffed dates were pretty good- sweet and salty. The pizza was okay. Garden salad was decent also. Very good service!

Yelp
When I arrived at rustica I was very underwhelmed in the whole atmosphere. The feng shui was a feng no way, And I received no greetings upon my arrival, it saddened me, for no one utilized the great skills of communication and boss bitch attitudes. I expected to be yelled at and forced to go in a direction that rustica demanded however the atmosphere was lackadaisical and I did not feel controlled. This was obviously a mistake when one enters your atmosphere they should never feel like they have control they should be bent and shaped to the will of rustica. I can't remember the food because it was not memorable but Karen was, I don't believe that was her real name but she was definitely a Karen. She didn't say anything she barely even looked at me but I know she was a Karen. Why are you say? I have a one word response...Rustica. With all this said and done and nothing getting done and the food was well done and Karen was definitely not done, and because it adds suspense done done DONE!!!! 10 out of 10 would do again amazing recommendations LOVEIT #Rustica Light whispers *RUUUUSSSSSTIIIIICAAAAAAAA* And Karen I know you were gonna be a Karen I want to stay but I just wasn't Karen. Rustica approves this message. Paid for by the wayward we hate Karens and love Rustica fan club. It is real, prove it's not. Karen.

Yelp
Fantastic example of all the things done well. Wether a stop by the bar for more casual or a seat for finer dining. Simple done superbly or fancy done well. Foodies will want to pic their plating. The mindful will want to soak in the moment.

Yelp
Great food. Upscale ingredients and passionate staff. A real gem. Ive been there a few times and the blackened salmon and the burger are amazing. The pizzas are really good too.
google avatar

Yelp
The Mixologist is amazing Grace is on top of her game well worth the stop. A little hidden gem in Moorehead .

Yelp
This was the best experience I've had at Rustica; it's my favorite restaurant. I had the tagliatelle pasta but subbed the chorizo for the braised beef. I had the handmade lemonade and it was delightful. The popovers are my favorite too. Sawyer was our server and she was incredibly attentive and delightful. She was very patient and helpful. Thanks again!
google avatar

Ashlee R.

Yelp
Fantastic service and a wonderful menu! The chorizo-stuffed dates, Spanish meatballs, and the Haole wood fired pizza were favorites at our table. Amazing Happy Hour deals. We can't wait to come back!

Meg K.

Yelp
Yum Yum Yum!! Everything was delicious! Will go again. We had the dates as an appetizer and I had the mushroom stew as an entree. Soooo very good!

Yelp
Best food, service, and atmosphere in the FM area. Spendy, so be prepared for a dent in the wallet even if you catch the 1/2 off apps. Four of us went before an event starting with 4 apps. Scallops, roasted veg hummus, burrata cheese and balsamic toms (basically a caprese on delicious toasted bread). There was a miscommunication in ordering the apps that left us with four apps instead of three, but a happy accident. I wasn't a fan of the roasted veg, not quite the roasted level I prefer and served cold. Entrees were the pork loin saltimbocca which, at the suggestion of the server, we subbed out the Parmesan mashed pots for the 'rustic frittas' which sound like a fancy French fry. Wife had the pappardelle w beef. Quite decadent. The menu catered for the Red River Valley population isn't too vegetarian friendly, but the chef worked up a great vegetarian pasta with roasted veg. Again, though, the roasted veg were a little too al dente even for her vegetarian palette. Great place with solid and consistent everything, we look forward to returning. Rustica elevates the culinary conversation in the area. Thanks for that. It make me feel better knowing that Kirby's was replaced with something of value, even if there aren't any Gear Daddies concerts.

Yelp
Loved seeing James and Jason. Food, ambiance, atmosphere and drinks were fantastic. This will become my new hangout whenever I'm in Fargo/Moorhead area.

Ethics M.

Yelp
4.5 is my final answer but putting 5 because of just a few things missing. Service could be slightly more attentive. Food is 5/5. Overall one of my favorite places in town.

Tara H.

Yelp
Food was excellent! I had the honey glazed salmon, others in my group had the filet and both were perfect! service and ambiance were also wonderful. I will definitely be returning to Rustica!

Beth P.

Yelp
The food was delicious and service was great. Highly recommend! I had the salmon and my friend had the short rib. We started with the stuffed dates. Excellent!

Marie O.

Yelp
Food was amazing but service could have been better. Felt slightly ignored by the waitress as there was a larger table next to us. Great atmosphere!

Yelp
My wife and I dine at Rustica regularly and I would give them more than 5 stars if possible. They are phenomenal. Everything on the menu is delicious. Their prices are already very reasonable for the quality of food they serve, but their happy hour prices for pizzas, apps, and burgers can't be beat. The best part about Rustica, however, is their service. The staff are kind, attentive, and extremely pleasant and they make every experience at Rustica wonderful. If you're in the Fargo-Moorhead area, you can't go wrong with dinner at Rustica.
google avatar

Leslie S.

Yelp
Rustica is a treasure to the area, with a wonderful menu, wine & drink list and excellent customer service. It's always first on our list on when we dine out.

Luke K.

Yelp
Best place that I've eaten at in Fargo/Moorhead area! Great appetizers, amazing entrees, and a wonderful selection of drinks. The service was very good, I couldn't have asked for a better dinner.

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
One of my favorite meals. We got the Fig Bourbon Sour and Old Fashioned cocktails, the dates and burrata cheese plate starters, and Pork Belly Chittara--all delicious. The service was also excellent.
google avatar

Travis H.

Yelp
My wife & I were here for happy hour (nobody was very happy) our waitress had a mad look on her face & kept walking by our table in a way to let us know not even think about asking her to take our order. After waiting 10 minutes my wife went up to the bar to order some drinks and appetizers before "happy hour" ended. And then... the male bartender snapped at my wife before she said anything... "You just need to be patient & sit at your table"!! We heard the quality of their food was great but it was our 1st & last time
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
Great menu options. Good value for your money and food quality always outstanding. We usually eat on the tavern side; cool, casual atmosphere and ambiance. Our favorite Moorhead restaurant!

Yelp
Wow! This place is really one of a kind. My wifey and I moved here from San Diego and we are highly impressed by Rustica Eatery & Tavern. When we first got here, we were disappointed by the food in F/M area until we found this place. We love good food and Rustica delivers every time. Keep up the good work and we appreciate your good food!

Cally S.

Yelp
We're new to Fargo/Moorhead area, and always try a new place each week for our date night. Rustica did not disappoint. The service, drinks, appetizers and dinner was amazing!! I had the stuffed chicken and wow!!! My husband had the canelones de carne and GOODNESS it was amazing. The sauce! Check Rustica out. We for sure will be back!

Jardie L.

Yelp
Sad a place I had two reservations at couldn't figure out how to accommodate us. No manager to help the poor hostess solve a problem.

Cassie A.

Yelp
Always love my experience here. We sat at the bar and the bartender was prompt and gave us a list of all the specials. We ordered the burrata cheese plate which is always wonderful, but more bread would have been great. I had the Rustica burger which was cooked medium and came with pickled and roasted topping, it was well seasoned and a good size. My husband ordered the buttermilk fried chicken, he eats about anything. I tried one piece and it was definitely over cooked and dry for a dark meat. We were there for happy hour so all the items we purchased were half off. They have a fantastic happy hour.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to hold our third anniversary at Rustica. This was our first time at Rustica. If you haven't been here before the parking is a little wonky and the entry into Rustica is a little hard to find. Initially we thought it was in the front of the building but it's actually at the back. I highly recommend a reservation. There is a bar area but this is a small establishment and limited seating. We didn't have a reservation and by luck got a table. The front staff was very friendly. Multiple employees asked if we had been helped while we waited the 5 minutes to get our table. The ambience is a little odd. It seems as though this is a attempt at fine dining but the music was journey and queen. It didn't seem to match the dining or patrons. We were seated at a two person table that shared a bench with a large table. It was in a little bit of a odd location but it was ok. Our server came over right away and we ordered cocktails for our celebration. We waited about 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive and the server apologized because the bar tender was backed up. We decided at that point to order two appetizers and our entrees. For the apps were decided on the anti pasta and shrimp with scallops. It took another 20 or so minutes for the apps to come out. We were shocked to see the shrimp and scallops came out as 1 shrimp and 1 scallop. At a $15ish dollar price point we thought that was a little over priced. The dish looked pretty but the flavors just were not there. The anti pasta was well put together. Several cheese samples, cured ham and summer sausage with a salad in the middle. The only complaint I would have is the olives had pits in them. At a higher end restaurant, taking olive pits out of your mouth seemed a little rude. The entrees came out just as we finished the apps. My wife ordered the walleye and I selected the bacon wrapped fillet. I ordered my fillet medium rare to medium and if definitely came out medium well to well. I think the menu said it would be served with fingerling potatoes but it came on a bed of mashed cauliflower with two carrots and four green beans. The price point was $38. I wasn't impressed at all. The waitress returned and I explained the steak was medium well not rare and she agreed. She asked if I wanted to wait for another but we didn't have time for a second. The waitress offered to remove my cocktail from the ticket. My wife explained the walleye was well cooked but lacked any flavor. The overall experience began with high expectations and ended on a lower result. The couple adjacent to our table had to get the girl cleaning the tables to run their card to close out following a good 15 minute wait on the waiter. The waiter brought the ticket back and apologized explaining it wasn't intentional that they were forgotten. Odd response to say the least. I'm not confident that I would go back to Rustica. I'm surprised the reviews gave higher ratings when there are others with the same complaints. Everyone has a bad day but it's just my opinion that Rustica wasn't worth the price.

Lexi F.

Yelp
Great service and atmosphere! The appetizer list is extensive and well worth the trip to this place! Pasta didn't live up its expectations but we were very impressed with everything else. Will defiantly come back for more date nights.

Yelp
What a great spot in Moorhead. We went here for appetizers and drinks before dinner. It was the height of dinner time so we sat at the bar. The bar tenders were hilarious. We had great conversation and they didn't charge for a to-go pesto we ordered. We ordered the duck breast to share, the polenta and the anti-pasta platter. The platter was beautiful. Lots of pickled vegetables, cheeses, olives and various salami things. It came with toasted bread and two different Pedro's. It was very delicious!! The duck breast had a pastrami inspired sauce which was way too salty for me. It overpowered the duck breast so I did not eat much of it. The polenta was perfect. Texture was right where it should be and the flavor was so on point. A touch of butter and garlic on a bed of greens. This was definitely my favorite dish. The drinks were delicious. I got both drinks that had egg white. One was a bourbon and the other a vodka drink. They were refreshing and a nice match for the food. It was definitely a fun spot and while they do have items that are non pork you won't find a lot of vegetarian.

Yelp
The consistency of their menu between visits is unparalleled and there is something for everyone on it. The staff is always fantastic and the atmosphere makes it a true gem in the 56560. I highly recommended frequenting Rustica at least once a week !

Wendy H.

Yelp
We had two starters: Roasted Vegetables and Meatballs. We shared a Roman Pizza. I forgot to snap a picture of the pizza. The atmosphere was relaxed with rustic decor. The table for two we had was very tippy, so we changed to a table for four even though there was only two of us. It's unusual that there are at least two rooms that seem like separate restaurants, but they are the same restaurant. The meatballs were very good smothered in a mushroom sauce, sprinkled melted cheese melted on top, with what looked like small sliced baguettes. There were about four of them. The roasted vegetables were a different matter. It looked beautiful when it came out, but it was cold. The title of the dish, "Roasted" Vegetables, led me to assume they were hot. When I ate the first vegetable I was surprised it was cold. I kept thinking they were refrigerated leftovers arranged beautifully on a cutting board with hummus, roasted tomato dip, spinach dip, and very tasty sliced banquettes. I felt Ill afterwards thinking about it. The Roman Pizza was delicious. The crust was my favorite kind. Unique, on the thin side, and not flavored with garlic, allowing the flavor of the toppings to really dance in your mouth. I don't like saying the word bland because it seems negative, but I value that in a crust because it provides a perfect backdrop for the pizza toppings. The price, although a lot for me, is fair in comparison to the prices of other restaurants in the FM area.

Yelp
The Tavern's woodfired grilled pizzas are SO GOOD. My personal favorites are the French Farmer, Bambino and Margarita (basic, I know) but all things I've tried here are delicious. If you're looking for an appetizer that's easy to share, the roasted vegetables and toasted bread is an excellent choice. I'm also a big fan of the rotating selection of local craft beers on tap. Most importantly, the regular and late-night happy hour is on point. (4-6 p.m. and 10-11 p.m.) I haven't dined at Rustica as frequently since it's fairly high-end, but I've been there a few times for special occasions. I recommend the Roasted Vegetable Torta Rustica paired with cabernet... trust me, it's just as tasty as it sounds. Overall, the great service, incredible eats, and the cool, trendy atmosphere easily make this the best bar/restaurant in Moorhead. Kudos to Sara & Eric Watsons (and general manager, Mason) for giving this side of the river another fabulous five-star dining experience.

Yelp
We went to Rustica last night for a nice dinner and had a great experience! We had only had appetizers before, so this was the first time having actual dinner; and we weren't disappointed at all. We started with the roasted veggies appetizer and it was amazing...this coming from a true carnivore too! For dinner we had a chicken dish and a chorizo pasta dish. Both of them were very tasty -- something we would order again. Wine and drinks were great too. The service was excellent. The only thing we didn't like was the little basket of bread served in between the appetizers and the main course. The bread was pretty blah...not much taste. Not a big deal though. We stuffed ourselves with food, and unfortunately didn't have room for some of the tasty looking desserts they have. Maybe next time! Will be back!
