The best birthday experience we've ever had from a restaurant!! The service was spectacular!! With complimentary drinks, cotton candy, a magic show and a birthday package, it was such a memorable moment that my son will forever cherish. Thank you for providing such a welcoming and exciting night for us!! 100/100❤️ and that prime rib... 🤌*chefs kiss*.

An unforgettable experience at Rustler's Rooste. Tara our server and Tom the manager are Superstars! My recent visit to Rustlers Rooste was absolutely outstanding, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we stepped in the atmosphere was welcoming with a live steer named "Horney/Boots" and the band playing country music was fun and friendly. There is even a tin slide for the kids to slide down on and for the Outlaws to make a quick getaway. The food was delicious and abundant. The portions are so generous, basically old school huge Cowboy plates. Let's just say it is enough to satisfy a true Cowboy that's been out on the range working hard all day. Since it's Saturday and I didn't really work that hard today, I will be taking home three bags of food for my teenage boys to eat when we get home. We will probably have enough food for 3 days. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, which was prepared perfectly and served promptly. However, what truly elevated our experience from great to exceptional was the incredible service we received. Our server, Tara, was simply amazing, she had this contagious smile on her face the whole night and was super friendly. She was incredibly attentive to our needs, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering fantastic recommendations. Tara’s professionalism and warm demeanor made us feel genuinely cared for and truly enhanced our dining experience. She’s a true asset to Rustlers Roost! We also had the pleasure of interacting with the General Manager, Tom, who was equally great. He was visible on the floor, engaging with guests, and clearly dedicated to ensuring everyone had a wonderful time. It’s always impressive to see a manager so hands on and invested in the guest experience. Tom’s presence certainly contributed to the positive vibe of the restaurant. Rustlers Rooste is a fantastic spot, and with a team like Tara and Tom leading the way, it’s clear they prioritize excellent service alongside great food. We’ll definitely be back soon!

We stayed at the Arizona Grand Resort and took the shuttle to this restaurant and it was such a neat experience! The place is very unique, the staff are all very friendly, there’s a Long Horn greeting you at the entrance and a fun slide for the kids (or some adults) to skip the stairs. The food was okay, the brisket was a little too greasy and the salmon was NOT good but the mashed potatoes and the ribs tasted great and the plate sizes are huge! They also have a very cool cotton candy birthday to celebrate those having birthdays! The view is also pretty good and they had a band playing. Overall, we enjoyed it very much mainly because it’s very family friendly and it has a very unique decor.

Planned my mom’s surprise 60th birthday here on a Thursday and coordinated with Lisa who was very responsive. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and food which was barbecued on the grill outside. Here were my standouts: For Bea, Amy and Mayra… Amy and Mayra, the party coordinators, were incredible and such a huge help in getting my mom’s party together. They helped me gather the supplies I needed, checked in on me throughout the night, and Amy even reminded me to eat when I was running around nonstop. Amy especially helped ease my mind and calm me down when things felt overwhelming, which meant more than she knows. Their support, kindness, and teamwork made such a difference, and I’m so grateful for both of them for helping make the night a success. Bea was absolutely amazing all night. She was such a great waitress and truly went above and beyond to help me. She was incredibly organized, attentive, and thoughtful, and she even helped coordinate the timing by letting me know when my mom was arriving so we could pull off the surprise perfectly. She made the entire night run smoothly and stress-free, and I couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you, Bea, for being so on top of everything and making the night so special!

A Must-Visit Restaurant in Phoenix! This place is absolutely amazing! From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted by a real live longhorn out front, which instantly sets the tone for a fun and unforgettable experience. The restaurant sits on top of a hill, offering a spectacular view that makes dining here even more special. Inside, the atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel right at home. It’s also incredibly family-friendly — there’s even a slide inside for the kids, which they loved! Every night there’s live music, adding a perfect touch of energy and entertainment while you enjoy your meal. The food is delicious and made with quality ingredients, with portion sizes and prices that are more than fair. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Before you leave, stop by the gift shop — it’s full of fun souvenirs and local goodies that make great keepsakes. If you’re ever in Phoenix, this is an absolute must-go restaurant. Great food, great people, great atmosphere, and a view that can’t be beat — truly a one-of-a-kind experience!

Jeremy was an awesome server. He recommended the double barrel margarita and it was yummy. He kept coming back to our table to check up on us. I've been here a couple times but he gave us many suggestions since we had one in our family that's never been here. Excellent place for kids because of the slide. Its also percent at night for a date night overlooking the city at night with the lights.

Had to wait about ten minutes for seating even though I had a reservation, and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. The food was okay and the service was just average. The best part was definitely the scenery—being seated by the window with a great view made it special. I went for my dad’s birthday and tried to make it feel fancy, and the atmosphere helped with that. There was live country music being played on stage, and the sound was actually perfect—not too loud or overwhelming. Usually in places like this you have to shout just to talk, but here the volume was just right, which made the experience more enjoyable. The only downside was the poor lonesome bull outside—standing all by himself, gazing into the distance. It was honestly depressing to see. Beautiful view, great music volume, but average food and service overall.

Second time coming to Rusler's Rooste. The food is always great and the service is excellent. Sheriff Holly and the magician was amazing. Kids really enjoyed. Obviously the slide is a hit but got a little busy on a Friday night. We had the rattlesnake and cactus fries, along with the Cowboy Platter. The chicken was a little dry but the brisket was great. Would definitely go back with the family.

The Cowboy decor abd atmosphere of the place was a lot of fun. Live country music was a nice touh. The food was a mixed bag, however. I got a brisket and jalapeno sausage platter. The sausage wa pretty good, while the brisket was fatty and somewhat lacking in flavor. I was visiting from out-of-state but even if I lived in the Phoenix metro, I doubt whether I would go back.

Management is very rude and disrespectful! I called 3 days in advance to get a reservation to celebrate my husband's birthday so I ordered the birthday package for $25.00. I told them that I can't talk about it as he will be there. I called to confirm the day before and 2 hours before the appointment. When we got there. My husband went down the slide first so I was able to tell the host about the birthday package again and it's a surprise to tell my waitress. We ordered our food and ate. Food was very country like. They do have a band there so it can be a bit loud. After we ate, excepting the waitress will bring the birthday cake, but instead she just looked at me. I was like... mmmm ok! So come to find out he gave me my check instead. So they ended up never doing it and when I told her about it to mess up the surprise it was too late. I told them never mind and we will just go somewhere else. I had the manger come over and told him what happened. He just brushed me off. I will and haven't been back.

Ok so the food is not the reason you go here. It's very sub par and the portions are huge so there is a lot of waste. For the real reason you go here, the cowboy atmosphere. It's a great place to take out of town guests. It's everyone's idea of what all of Arizona is like. The wild, wild west. Sawdust on the floor, steaks, cowboy music, etc. and let's not forget the view! The only disappointment was they did not have any rattlesnake!!! Apparently they haven't had it for a month so we couldn't treat our out of town guests to that.

Hadn't been here in 20 years, nothing has changed. Service was quick & nice staff but as many others said, food was really subpar. Chicken fried steak was really bad, tough meat and lots of fried crust. Brisket sandwich was ok; great BBQ sauce. Kids loved the slide, views of the city are top notch.

In the past we've always enjoyed our time here. The onion rings are great. However, the last time we went there we encountered an unprofessional, abrasive server and this was after we paid and tipped 20%. I understand having a bad day but this went beyond that. My family was appalled and management did nothing to rectify the situation. I was saddened to experience this especially since we had our kids with us. We will no longer support this company.

It's a very Disney Wild West type of restaurant. There are a lot of little surprises. The kids were running around & having fun. There was live Country Music. I went solo, but I don't eat that much. So it was WAY too much food for me. It's meant to be shared among families.1 order of ribs is enough for 4-6 people. The margarita, small salad, and ribs were good. The corn on the cob and carrots were gross. I almost spit them out. I'm normally vegetarian, so that was disappointing. The service was verrrrry slow and they kept walking past me, though I was waving and shouting. It's a loud restaurant, but that seemed a bit much. I was staying at the Arizona Grand Resort, where this restaurant is located. There are no homeless people on that side of town. It did not have a microwave. I felt bad for wasting SO much food!

Lots of fun here. Great service and food. The amount of food!!! Wow orders the cowboy with my son and more than we could eat. Awesome views and live bands. Place is huge. Have a little fun and ride the slide in!!

Probably closer to a 3.5/5 for me. Definitely the type of place to bring out of town guests and an experience in itself. A small group of us arrived at peak dinner hours on a Saturday. We joined the waitlist and were told 30-40 minutes, so we sat in the bar area to wait and grab a drink. The bar waiter went to every table except ours so we never got a drink, but thankfully we ended up waiting closer to 20 minutes before our table was ready. The interior is much larger than you would think when you first enter, and there's even a slide for kids inside! The live music was also a fun touch. We were seated at a booth but then waited a while for our server to come greet us --the staff was hustling but the restaurant is so large I'm sure they get tons of steps in per day. We ordered various appetizers including the nachos and authentic rattlesnake. The nachos were basic but only really had cheese on the top layer, and the rattlesnake was an experience but market price ended up being $28. The flavor of "fried" pretty much overwhelmed the rattlesnake and cactus. Our group ordered the cowboy platter, mac n cheese, and vaquero. The cowboy platter was pretty large but didn't knock our socks off for the $60. The vaquero enchiladas left something to be desired but the steak was good. The side of Mac n cheese was huge and about what you would expect. The included entree items were solid --house salad, bread, and cowboy beans. We pretty much filled up on the appetizers and these before our food came, so we had plenty of leftovers to take home. We had been eyeing the giant chocolate cake that other tables had been ordering, but sadly had no room for dessert by the end. The check came with some cotton candy to sweeten the punch of the high bill. Overall, we had a fun evening. We tried some of the higher priced menu items and would probably skip those in the future and go with some of the more basic items like the burger.

The food is exactly what you would expect from a mountain top steakhouse-hearty and delicious. I ordered the 'Tenderfoot 8 ounce filet', and it came with biscuits and rolls with CINNAMON BUTTER-winning! They also start you with a garden salad with house-made ranch dressing that is SUPER on point. They also dress the entree with sweet carrots and corn on the cob-so come hungry. Plus they give a pot of beans for the table-and they are by far the best baked beans I have ever had. The service was 5 star. Managers Kathy and Craig came over to greet me upon arrival, and Craig was kind enough to give me a tour of the indoor and outdoor spaces. My server Melia was friendly, attentive, and always available-ask for her when you come here. As we were chatting, she also told me she is an esthetician next door at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa, go get yourself a facial before dinner and request her :) The ambiance is lovely-very rustic Arizona, and ask for a window seat with a great view of the mountains. This is a must try!!

I attended a Christmas party in the patio area and it was a positive experience. The view was beautiful and the staff was attentive the entire duration our our event. They cleared plates and cleaners constantly as this was a corporate event with lots of moving pieces. I would recommend this establishment for the views, this restaurant definitely checks the "wow" factor if city views are your ish.

The tenderloin steak was cooked to perfection! The carrots were very tasty... and I'm not a carrot lover. The salad was so-so with minimal ranch dressing. The two types of biscuits were okay (crumbly buttermilk typeand the flat, overcooked ones). The bbq baked beans were okay. The corn on the cob seemed like frozen ones. We got there early... maybe 5:15. Got a front row spot. When we left around 7;00, the parking lot was packed. The server was good and polite.

Thank you for accomodating 24 people as we celebrated 3 birthdays last night. Salute to our waiter who served us. Here are a few pictures of the food taken because there was a lot of people. I did enjoy the vibe as it reminded me of TN. The views outside were amazing and also there was line dancing and good country music! I wanted to try the Rattlesnake but they didn't have any so the waiter suggested Cactus Fries and it did not disappoint. It was by far the best meal I had was that appetizer alongside the soft bread and cinnamon butter lol Def will be back to try other cocktails and rattlesnake and order another cactus fries hehe cotton candy was just the touch as it got devoured and not so much of the chocolate cake hehe

Ambiance 4...Food 3 (high priced and tasteless {spices please})...Service 5 (Candra was priceless).

My family dined here on Saturday night for my birthday. We were originally seated in the far back of the restaurant and couldn't hear the band or let my kids enjoy the slide. Once a new table opened up the staff was very friendly and allowed us to move front and center! Don't worry I wasn't a "Karen" we paid and tipped our first server closed the tab and opened up a new one . My husband has the ribeye, which was good. Daughter had fried shrimp and rice, we had two orders of the Vaquero and out little boys had chicken strips and Mac n cheese. The band was great! Atmosphere was so fun. My kids went up and down the slide 100 times and they spoiled me by singing me happy birthday and giving me a cowboy hat to keep. So much fun! Great family restaurant.

Great service by Dan our server. Great food. Great vibes. Great views. Great time. The scenery is breath taking. You can see the entire city downtown Phoenix and the airport.

The theme is great! I love the view and the food! The Rattlesnake is fantastic and they do NOT skimp on the portions. I have yet to encounter any one on their staff who doesn't enjoy having us there.

The Review: My jaw dropped after the ride up the hill to the Phoenix overlook where the Rustler's Rooste is perched. I was greeted right in front of the restaurant by none other than Horney the bull. The atmosphere of this place is as wild as it gets, and I couldn't recommend it enough if you're in town. Surprisingly, the menu has a wide variety of options and modifications for dietary needs. We love free food for the table--you get a family-sized bowl of salad with ranch, baked beans, and Indian fry bread. The margarita was nice, though I'd ask for less sugar next time. The beef ribs, I was told, were delicious and they just kept on coming (unlimited). The baked potato is not loaded at all, just a decent option if you're gluten-free. You should put chili on it--they even have vegetarian. At the very end, you get a can (that's right) of cotton candy, whichever flavor they're serving up today. Overall, brilliant place, great country vibes and live music. Will most certainly be back!

This is a fun spot that's true to that AZ vibe. They have a band just about every night and slide in the building. It's def more of a fun casual dining vibe. Food was a'right. If you're not into fried foods, they do have some baked options but flavor was a bit on the lacking side. I had the grilled salmon which was ok. Those little bread rolls were the best thing I tried! Service was excellent! Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Gotta try the rattle snack cause when in AZ...

Love this place. Food has always been good for us and reasonably priced. The view is beautiful. Service has never let us down.

The views from this place are amazing!!!! The food is average, dried out brisket, dried out corn on the cob, carrots had a different flavor too. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries, which were pretty good. The jalapeño and cheddar sausage had good flavor, not too spicy. The butter choices for the cowboy fry bread are good the fry bread is unique. Really the views and the atmosphere are what this place have a draw for. Our server was friendly, but busy and hard for her to get around to us as frequently as she probably should be around. She did a good job of keeping our drinks full. Definitely worth a stop if you've never been, or if you haven't been here in a long time.

We have lived in the valley for over 10 years and made our first visit to RR. Definitely a little difficult to get into the restaurant if you have issues that affect walking. The restaurant has a old wild west vibe, lots of wood to give it a saloon feel. Friendly service. The view is great but you have to sit right next to a window to appreciate it. The menu is nothing fancy. Ribs, brisket, prime rib, burgers mostly. The prices are a little on the expensive side. I got the wing appetizer and onion rings. The choices for the chicken wings were mild or hot. That's all. They were a little on the small side and we're just okay. The onion rings were definitely the star of the show. They are perfectly cooked, crispy and delicious. The brisket nacho advertiser was very good too. A lot of brisket. A lot of nachos. Definitely enough for a table to share. Two people we were with got the half slab of pork ribs. I tried one and I thought the barbecue sauce was very good but the ribs were a little on the tough and chewy side. The sides for the pork ribs were carrots and a half a piece of corn on the cob and they were unimpressive. We did enjoy the family style salad they brought out to the table before dinner and the rolls were also good. The bill for four of us, two entrees and two appetizers with an iced tea and a diet soda was over $130 including tip. The only reason I gave three stars was because they did have live music in the band was very good. I definitely won't be making a trip back here again in the future.

Food is decent. Get the onions rings and chocolate cake to share! Great service. From the minute we walked in there was entertainment (live band, dancing and a balloonist). We were seated promptly and had a great view by the window. They weren't seating outside but patrons were still able to go out and enjoy the view! Perfect for any occasion.

My visit to Rustler's Rooste was a little out of the ordinary as I was going to my nephew's (and now niece's) wedding reception. When I heard they were doing a reception at a place with this name, I checked Yelp to get an idea of what the restaurant was like. Not being into C&W or a hoe down kinda guy, I went with some trepidation - though this being a special day I knew I'd have a good time regardless of the theme of the restaurant. And I did - in fact, we ALL did. The place sits atop a hill and there's parking down below. However, there's parking adjacent to the restaurant as well so we journeyed up and found some spots to park. Walking in, we discovered that the entry to our function was far to the back - past the C&W band that was playing, the restaurant and the bar. I asked for a wheelchair for one of our guests as he recently lost his sight and it would be a long, slow walk for him. The staff immediately acknowledged our need - took them a bit to locate it but were quick to help out and very accomodating. Made it out to our reception area. What a beautiful place to enjoy the evening, We were outside on a lovely evening overlooking Phoenix. We were running a little behind schedule, the staff at the restaurant got things going quickly without rushing us. There was a salad and (large) cocktail shrimp bar available. Food was grilled steak and chicken one of each - or two of the same if desired. Came with mashed potatoes and veggies on a skewer. It was in keeping with the country theme - not a "gourmet" offering, but a really good meal that was nicely prepared and tasted good. The rest of the night was the usual wedding festivities. Cash bar which had a good offering and a nice bartender. Our service staff were all cheerful and helpful as well. We finished up around 10:30-11. I was truly surprised at how nice this venue was for a wedding. Kudos to the Rustler's Rooste team for making this a special evening.

One day, during our recent visit to AZ, our son-in-law asked if we had ever been to Rustler's Rooste. Not only had we never been there but we never even heard of it. He then told us how he ate there as a kid and wanted to go back. So...we told him to go and make a reservation, which he did. Rustler's Rooste was established in 1971. It got its name because it sits atop a butte in the foothills of South Mountain. That butte, in the past, was a hideout for cattle rustlers. It is in a nice spot that overlooks Phoenix. Upon arrival, we drove up a narrow road that brought us right to the restaurant. Son-in-law told us that during the weekend it's so busy that people sometimes have to park in a lot at the bottom of the hill. Once we entered, we had to go up, then down a series of wooden ramps. One of the ramps had a slide next to it for those who wanted to use it to get to the next level. While adults can use it, it's very popular with little kids. We were seated at a large booth that easily held the 6 of us. Since we were near the door to the outside seating area, I was able to go out there and get a couple of photos. It was one of those times I wished I had a better camera because my photos really don't do the view any justice. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. We all started with soft drinks except the grandson who always just drinks water when going out to eat. The root beer comes to you in a bottle and it was a tasty drink Three of us ordered the "Tenderfoot Filet" which consists of an 8 oz. filet. We all got ours medium rare. Each entree comes with sliced cooked carrots and a small corn on the cob. Plus, a family-sized bowl of their house salad is brought to the table. Also, a basket with biscuits and rolls comes to the table. It has 2 types of butter with it ---cinnamon butter, which was mildly flavored and plain butter. Our son-in-law had wanted to try the rattlesnake appetizer but they were all out. I wasn't heartbroken about that! He got "Rustler's cut top sirloin" which was 10 ozs. One grandson ordered "The vaquero" which consists of: " 10 ozs. of certified USDA prime sirloin with 2 enchiladas" Another grandson got "The sheriff" which is a 12 oz. piece of prime rib. As for the food---those of us who got the tenderfoot filet all liked it. It was very, well... "tender" and properly prepared. Our son-in-law liked his sirloin steak. The grandson who got "the vaquero" found himself getting full due to the big portion. The big disappointment and thus, the reason I can't go to 4 stars --- The prime rib. Not only was it tough, it was very fatty and very difficult to cut. So...my suggestion is to give this dish a pass if you go there. Otherwise, we all enjoyed the corn on the cob. It was very sweet and lightly seasoned. The carrots also were good as they were cooked just right---not too hard, not too mushy. We did enjoy the live music which was a trio doing country songs. It wasn't overly loud which we appreciated. In the end, we're glad we gave them a try. It's worth a visit but...once again...give the prime rib a pass.

Fantastic place to bring a family for BBQ and steaks. For dinner they had a balloon animal artist. There's a slide that the kids like. Service can be slow at times but good food at good value. Especially good for large groups.

Great service but food is horrible. We will not be back. We were there two years ago and food has went downhill.

Only star being its atmosphere. The food is not worth a higher end steak house pricing, the menu says every meal comes with beans and Indian fry bread. The server brought us a salad tossed in ranch and biscuits with cinnamon butter. I ordered the vaquero which came with a half corn cob, two cheese and onion enchiladas and a sirloin steak. There was either chili or beans spread on my plate and the server brought our table a side of beans. We went here to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday and I don't feel like they made it special. We paid $22 for their birthday package and the one waiter who was waiting on us that night didn't even sing happy birthday. It took forever to get drinks or anything to the table. I ordered a medium steak and it came out raw, sent it back and had to wait a while to have it come back with half of it still red. Our waiter also forgot to give us our cotton candy. I wouldn't go back. I feel like this place would be better off as a museum than a restaurant.

Kids love the place. The views are great! The love entertainment is also good. The food and service aren't anything to write home about.

We were excited to try this place. The decor was great. The service and food was mediocre. Our server was polite and friendly in the beginning but it was clear she was overwhelmed. Our food sat next to us while we waiting for our server to pass it out. Order was wrong on one dish. Check was wrong twice. She just stated l, well I have a lot of tables. Large portions of food, but sides were over cooked and flavorless. Come for the view, not the food. .

Our server, Kyle, was fantastic! Handled our large party so well all with a great sense of humor. Dinner was really good and between the 10 of us I think we tried a little bit of everything. The table favorites were the brisket nachos and the Mac & cheese with jalapeño. Their dinner rolls are beyond yummy and the cinnamon butter puts them over the top. Live entertainment and the balloon guy were great too. Loved the cotton candy finish to a super fun dinner. PS. We didn't try the slide but so many people were having a blast on it.

Hello, A little disappointed...had my daughters birthday dinner her a year ago and had my birthday dinner here tonight. Wait was fine because we had no reservations. Went to the men's restroom and between three soap dispensers they had no soap whatsoever. Which raises my concern of the cleanliness of the workers hands. Ordered the ribeye steak (medium well done) which comes with corn on the cob and carrots. I also ordered a side of fries which is extra. When my order came they forgot the fries. The steak was cooked with 80% pink and the steak was lukewarm. The carrots and corn on the cob were steaming hot. I asked them to heat up my steak again and they took it from me. It came back and the corn on the cob and carrots were hotter than they were the first time and the steak was even colder than before. Needless to say I will stick to other steakhouses for my birthday or other special occasions with my family. On a Separate note the family next to me explained they had issues with their meal and got a discount of some sort. None was offered, hopefully they can fix the issues because I use to like visiting that place.

This is a great active, lots to see, do and hear style restaurant. There was live music the night we were there. There is a slide for kids to go down. The food just kept coming and coming. We had great service. She checked back with us a lot. And was super friendly. The food was great and the atmosphere fun. We'd go back!

This may very well be a tourist destination but it is a MUST experience when in the Phoenix/Tempe area. The restaurant is nestled on top of a butte and has sweeping views of the entire Phoenix area. You can see for miles from the back deck. The theme is cowboy. Sawdust on the floors, live country western music, and beers served in giant sized mugs. They have a deck on the second floor with benches and seats you can sit on to watch the sunset. Below the deck are a few sections with fire pits, bars, and tables reserved for corporate and private events. We grabbed some drinks at the bar and took advantage of the outdoor seating on the deck. The view was incredible. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for dinner but looking over at some of the tables the food looked delicious. I plan to come back on my next trip out west.

The steaks were a joke for the price, they lacked flavor and were cold when they got to the table. My son had the ribs and the same applies, no flavor and cold. It took 40 min to get bread and salad served, let's just say the bread was a biscuit that similar to the desert here was DRY and nasty. It took over an hour to get our food and our waiter never bothered to show up after taking our order. A waitress that was serving a table next to us saw our food just sitting on the tray and helped us out. We had no drink refills offered, overall this place is a joke. Go elsewhere unless you want to spend $250 for that mess!

OMG where to begin, lolz. What to say about Rustler's Rooste. Well to start if you look at the first picture that I shared that was the view from my table. I was able to look at the mountain range as I ate my birthday dinner. Following that we are looking east and able to watch the sunset in the west on the mountains and man was it pretty. So, as we sat down at the table I was rather confused with the how seating works, but I quickly realized that there was a purpose for that. So the hostess takes you to your table down the stairs or if you are like my son, take the slide down. There were kids all over that slide and then the people who were celebrating a little heavy went down the slide if you know what i mean . That being said this part was the only part that I didn't care for, we were sat right at the bottom of the slide. That was not the problem the problem was that the table was right on the easement for the next room so the chair was a little wonky and the table was kinda weird but that was the only problem. The floor was interesting I would say wear closed shoes because they use saw dust on the floor. It was interesting but not a game breaker. Now for the fun. As I said before it was my birthday, yeah me!! My wife told them that immediately and said that we were going to do the birthday desert. More on that later. So we ordered Onion rings to start while we looked at the menus and found that we all got steak. Then poof the onion rings appeared on our table after about 2 minutes, before we got the bread for the table. Service here is no joke, they are fast quick and correct. So the onion rings where awesome a little over done in some spots but I am weird and like that. Then the bread showed up and we ordered the fried bread is great with their cinnamon butter which I was not expecting. Our waitress then took our order and as we waited the Live band began to play. Now I know a lot of people do not like country music, but they are just wrong and don't know what they are talking about. The band set the ambiance for the night. It was just good. The BBQ sauce for the onion rings was delicious, maybe I will get ribs next time. So I ordered the bone in ribeye steak with cajan seasoning. Let me tell you this was a great steak. They did take the bone out but that didn't sway me. Then all plates came with corn on the cob and carrots. The wife got the New York Strip and the kiddo got a sirloin. They were all great we had left overs which were good the next day but man a ton of food. Steaks were tender and the corn was soaked in butter. Couldn't be happier with the way they cam out. We waited a little because our server got triple sat, not her fault but we just watched the few and the kiddo going down the slide for about 100 times. They cleared the table and then I realized that 'Oh yeah, desert!!' 9 layer chocolate cake with caramel, strawberry and chocolate drizzle on the plate and then candles singing and what I thought was the best part was the hat and bandanna that thrust on my head without me noticing it. They rang the triangle and sang happy birthday to me and then we dove into the cake. That cake was rich full and at one point not sure if I was going to be able to walk after eating it. I was so full that the last bite was a lot to handle. But it was all good. I am looking forward to going back there with my family and getting them to experience what we had. Great times!!

Everything was amazing for a much needed family reunion/outing. The only disappointment was with them being out of rattlesnake, but the rest of the experience made up for that minor shortfall.

Views are terrific. Food was cooked very well some said overcooked and dry. I was just disappointed because I reserved a party of 10 celebrating 3 birthdays one of them being my dads 75th. No one mentioned anything I had to ask for something they brought 3 cotton candies and never even sang. I was disappointed I mentioned it several times. It was a special occasion. I was disappointed. Drinks were very good we enjoyed everything. Just the service could have been better.

Super fun, lively restaurant. It's what I'd picture as an Arizona cowboy restaurant as the atmosphere was super westerny. The restaurants is HUGE, but our waiter didn't forget about us. There was a 45 minute wait during rush hour but it was worth it!! The entrees are expensive with the cheapest around $18, but you get a nice basket of rolls/ fry bread and a big salad for the table. I got the rotisserie chicken and it was incredible. My friends got the all you can eat beef ribs and the meat platter. They loved their meals too!

I visited Rustler's Rooste for my 21st birthday dinner, and 3 days later I was sent to the ER for serious food poisoning/viral gastroenteritis. I ordered the Big Burger with fries and the burger came out soaked in oil. The bottom bun was borderline inedible, as it seemed the food sat on the hot plate for 15 minutes before it was brought to my table. Everything on the burger was soggy, oily, and overall unpleasant. I don't know if they served me bad meat or left it in the window for too long, but visiting this restaurant has cost me and my family hundreds of dollars in medical bills. This is the first review i've ever posted on a restaurant, and that's because the food was so terrible it sent me to the hospital. I'm still dealing with the effects of the food poisoning, and if you're visiting Arizona Grand Resort, I highly recommend you stay away from this restaurant.

This is a Phoenix landmark! Reservations recommended. The Old West decor is fun with a bit of whimsy. Our hostess seated us at a window, and we enjoyed the changing view of the valley as the sun went down, and the Phoenix lights came up. The food was plentiful and very filling : just what you expect-steaks, prime rib, baked potatoes with the fixen's. Service was fantastic and timely. I will be back with out of town visitors for sure!

Haven't been here for a few years and came for a retirement party for a friend. We had reservations for 8 and policy is that they won't seat until at least 50% of the party is present. We had a window table which is always great because their location gives you such an awesome view of the city. Drinks ordered with one misstep of a peanut butter beer (it is a real thing) instead of the wheat, which is served in a can...no offer for a glass; had to request one and out came a glass...not chilled. Appetizers were: Onion rings, thick breading and one bite and the whole onion comes right out. Rattlesnake and nopales, both fried...snake is small little nuggets which taste more like breading than snake, or chicken as they say. Nopales were mushy for being fried. Dinners: Grilled shrimp with rice pilaf...best dish for sure! Huge shrimp cooked to perfection and the rice was good...could have more seasoning. Prime rib, ordered rare and thrown on grill to medium. Very tasty, tender, and cooked perfectly. Served with carrots that had no crunch and mushy, over boiled corn. Got a baked spud which was fine. Pork ribs, full rack that was cut in half and served stacked. Top was smothered in sauce and bottom had none. They were tender but really not flavorful due to the sauce, which has a spicy tang to it. Fried shrimp, with huge shrimp that are way over battered...go for the grilled ones! Two had steaks and reported that they were cooked perfect, tender and had good seasoning. The ambiance and view are the reasons for going for sure! Food is ok.

A local legend restaurant that offers a unique, albeit marginal dining experience. Pros: The views of downtown Phoenix are incredible, especially at night. The ambiance is casual and themed to be a mine. The slide down to the lower level is a fun experience for kids of all ages. The menu is a good selection of BBQ and American basics. Cons: Parking can be a pain. The food is just okay at a premium price. Service is slow, but that may just be a post-COVID staffing issue. My suggestion is to come for the ambiance, views, drinks, and an appetizer or two.

This place is known for the view! I recommend you come at sunset and non snowbird time! This place gets pack and the wait can be crazy. The food is below average American style barbecue. You can enjoy live music and do the slide with the kids and have some cotton candy after. When I have friends in visiting this is the spot they all want to come to. Being a local Phoenician, there is many other places I'd rather go for BBQ.

We enjoyed great filling food, top notch service, and excellent views. Highly recommended!

You do NOT want to go here for the benefit of your wallet and stomach! This place was a bad experience from the start. If you just want to experience the place I suggest water and onion rings..nothing else!! Skip the dry biscuits and "fry bread"..they are not good. The salad was old and had watered down ranch. The meal comes to you with boiled carrots and withered up corn that looks like it's been sitting in water for days! This meal reminded me of something they serve at a nursing home! This place is an epic fail on so many levels.

Where to begin. I've lived in the valley long enough to remember when this place was a "must experience" for visiting family and friends, and a perfect place for locals to have a great steak, and a good time. Not anymore. The service was nothing short of horrible; inexperienced, unengaged, and chock full of bad attitude. Every simple, reasonable request was met with exasperation. The food came to our table of 8 cold, overcooked, and slopped on the plate. The best one was the salad, famous for being pre tossed with their "famous" ranch dressing, had no dressing on it. When we brought it to the server's attention, she begrudgingly brought 2 small cups of ranch for 8 people. The prices are not outrageous, but all considered, I'd recommend dinning practically anywhere else.

I've been wanting to come here for years because I heard so many positive things about it. We went tonight for a friends birthday & we were so excited to eat rattlesnake! As pictured, the menu says authentic rattlesnake MKP. Not a problem! Rattlesnake comes out and it's a massive plate ! The problem is there's maybe 4oz or less of rattle snake and the rest is fried cactus? There's no mention of cactus on the menu as you can see in the picture. We ordered rattlesnake, for $28 (alleged marketprice) you get a heapload of cactus and very little rattlesnake so that felt extremely misleading. I understand that this place is more of a tourist destination maybe? But I recommend the business do a set price and disclose the cactus, as it felt like false advertising. ESPECIALLY when that's the main selling point of the restaurant. The server was alright I guess, except mid way through our food she asked if we wanted boxes? We were still eating & it wasn't yet close to closing time. So these two things were a definite turn off. For many of the menu prices being upwards of $20 I feel like it gives chilis or Applebees vibes, and I could definitely make better asparagus at home so I wasn't all impressed with the quality of the food all around, Mac n cheese was watery, and they load you up on fries to distract from the quality of the meal itself. I'm giving it 2 stars due to the fact they may be charging for "experience" or views, the lady who made a balloon animal was far more entertaining than the restaurant itself. Overall Food - misleading / mediocre / pricey for what It is Atmosphere - okay, dark, chaotic Service - not great. Probably won't be coming back.

Great selection of steaks with hearty portions. You'll definitely walk out of that place full and satisfied. The service was amazing. Also the there is a great view of the city. Just be sure you make a reservation, it can it get crowded.
