Just stumbled upon this gem of a bar and I'm already planning my return! The atmosphere was incredibly chill and relaxed, perfect for unwinding. A huge plus for me was that they allow smoking indoors, which is becoming increasingly rare. They also have a fantastic outdoor patio for those who prefer fresh air. Olivia, the bartender, was absolutely amazing! She was super friendly, informative, and really made us feel welcome. She filled us in on all the drink specials and the nightly activities, like bingo and poker, which sounds like a blast. Speaking of poker, they had a live game going on when we were there, which added to the lively vibe. The music was great, and the overall energy of the place was just right. If you're looking for a laid-back bar with good drinks, friendly staff, and a fun atmosphere, this is definitely the place to be. Highly recommend!"

Stopped in for a quick meal to go the atmosphere was kinda cool but the burger. I had to call back to get the guys name today for this review. The guys name was frog and he put his for on my burger and fries at 11 last night

Been coming here regularly for months. It doesn't matter how big the crowd is, how busy the bar is, or how varied the music is. The vibe is always in the right place. The Saturday DJ, Jake, is a friendly dude, and he's got some of the best variety in music I've seen. Also, best bartender award has to go to Jordan. All in all, 10/10 bar, great experience every time.

Jordan is literally the reason why I come here. To have known my typical drink of choice even though I only come a few times every few months is incredible. Super respectful and super friendly ❤️

Came in tonight on karaoke night. They are busy and its a nice vibe. However, 40 mins after sitting we weren't served at all. Had to go to bar to order drinks. I wanted more than 1 but rather than start me a tab he cashed me out. I went up and got a 2nd drink still not being served like every other table in here. Waitress walks by and doesn't even acknowledge us. Anyway I sit down with my 2nd drink. I had every intention on tipping the bartender. I was gonna do tht on the last drink. I had cash n bag just for tht. Then the bartender approaches my table. Finally yall.. nope he just wanted to tell me tht hes not paid to be here and doesn't make money if I dont tip. Didn't bother to let me respond just walked off. So now im definitely not tipping and I dang sure dont wanna come back. Whole experience here was just crap. Like we wanted food and drinks like every1 else here.

Was here on Saturday night. Jordan was great behind the bar. Great vibe and great service. We will be back!

This is by far my group’s favorite bar to hang out at! We love the people here and the bartenders are AMAZING! Shoutout to Hannah and Billy :)

Love this place so much, me and my friends come here basically every week. Ambiance and service is top tier, bartenders Billy and Hannah gotchu every time, and Fabian the karaoke dj keeps the vibe all the way up

A Dive Bar of the FIRST CLASS!! This place is EXACTLY what you're looking for, perfect atmosphere, great lunch specials, awesome clientele (could not find a friendlier group at 1:00 on a Thursday!), and the icing on this dive-bar cake was the worlds best bartender, Olivia. 100% would recommend!!

An old school dive bar with great service. My friend and I had burgers that we enjoyed - not pretentious but quality. This is a smoking bar - if that is not your vibe then stay away. The Rusty Barrel has a pool table, darts, and lots of sports on TV. They played a classic set of bar music. Overall we had a nice early dinner. Yuengling on tap.

This place was so much fun on karaoke night! One of the first places we went to sing when we moved to GA recently, & it was a 30 minute drive. Great, encouraging people...obviously no one knew us, yet when I walked on stage, people yelled my name & clapped! (What if I sucked?! Lol) Food was awesome & staff was attentive. The ONLY thing we weren't thrilled with was the smoking...but I'm sure it's great to smokers. We'll definitely be back, despite the drive!

Last night my boyfriend and I were looking for a place for a late night drink. It was 2 am when we got to the rusty barrel and there were around 10 people, not including bartenders, inside. Doors were locked and we knocked. Instead of simply waving a hand to let us know they were closed early or whatever the situation the employees just looked at us through the window and when we knocked we could hear someone say " don't open the door." Two things: 1. Change your hours online if you aren't going to be open at the times posted. 2. Teach your employees to have the decency to communicate that you closed early and no one else is being let inside instead of staring at potential clients through a window like we are fucking idiots. It would make sense to me if the spot was empty but it was not. Very bothered.

It's a neighborhood bar with a biker feel. Everyone is welcome. Great owners and bartenders. Food is darn good too. It is smoking but doesn't get too much for me.

Great bar and fair prices. We'll be back. We just had a couple drafts and loaded potato skins. Bartender was friendly and helpful

I got the sense they aren't familiar with or happy serving people of color in their establishment. I came in. Sat at the bar and asked for a menu. I looked at the menu for a minute and decided what I wanted. After a few minutes without having my order taken, I started to get suspicious. Then the bartender helped some new white patrons who just came in. Got them a drink and took their order. Then the bartender walked past me to ask a table filled with white patrons if they needed anything else. They politely declined and she asked them again in a much louder voice if they needed anything. They declined again. Then she cleaned off some tables, talked to some people, then walked past me again to start doing something behind the bar. I won't try that again. If you're white and you like establishments where you can eat with only other White people, this place might be great. I wouldn't know, I never got them to get me any food.

I have to agree with you Bob D. My husband and I visited this establishment about 9 years ago. We had just moved to the Atlanta Metro and we love Karaoke bars. My husband has an amazing voice and we always try new spots. I was a little hesitant about The Rusty Barrel but he figured we drove this far we might as well try. I sat in the corner area of the bar while he put his song in but I did not feel welcomed one bit. We sat there for a while and finally after 10-15 mins the bartender asked what I was having. Eventually, my husband got up to sing Unchained Melody and as always BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN! Even though a few people applauded and whistled we felt very uncomfortable and left immediately afterward. This is definitely a not a place for people of color. It is what it is, they have a right to express themselves too. To each his own!

Came here for cocktails with a good friend and we were so surprised by this hidden gem! The bartender Erin was so funny and attentive, we loved her. Their drinks are cheap and strong- a huge plus. $7 for my Washington Apple which was made perfectly!! We will be back.

I did stop by and found the people friendly and most of all, old school: 'I'm here to drink and shoot the s**t'. Lots of smoke and heavy on early drinkers - so its legit. On the dive bar label alone, 5 out of 5. If you want something family friendly or some kind of cobb style brewery/eatery, this is definitely not it; you've been warned :)

I will preface by saying the other reviews did the place justice. The real issue with my visit yesterday was the staff. When I arrived, there seemed to have been a breakdowm in communicatiom between the bartender and her bar back. Other time I discerned the caused was the bar back doing her job poorly (at best). Describe havig some nasty things said about her, Felicia rebounded nice, made solid drinks and diaplayed an incredible work ethic. Kitchen staff was great. Highly recommend wings and poppers. I will be back. Just definitely was an inauspicious time to walk in.

Classic pub , supports military. They have biker nights. Well drinks and cold beer. Food is above par as a pub. Friendly wait staff with prompt food and drinks. Come and check it out.

This unique dive is the sister bar of the Beer Barrel down the street. However it is bigger, brighter, but the smoke is the same. The menu is limited but a quick burger or sandwich with a beer it is a great place. The ownership and staff are super friendly which is the main reason I tolerate the smoke. Finally they have darts, music, dancing, TVs and fun.

This place is GREAT! If you're looking for a legit "dive bar", and I mean that in the best sense of the word, this is your spot! No pretense just good cheap drinks, friendly regular and a really cool staff. My wife and I stopped in and the waitresses started an indoor "snowball" fight and everyone joined in! (They were actually fabric "snowballs" so no one was harmed...:)). Shuffleboard, Karaoke nights, and live music some nights. Smoking allowed, so if you're prudish about that now you know!

Total local dive bar. Very attractive bartender. It was smokey which im not used to but not terribly overbearing. I was wearing my chiefs Jersey and a few of the guys wished us luck in the upcoming super bowl. They we're playing bingo and had some good music on. I had a beer and it was reasonably priced

Stopped by on a Thursday night. Place was full, but not crowded. Band played great music. Seemed like a very local hangout, but friendly enough. Might try it during the day. Definitely worth a visit.

Always meant to give this place a nice review. Visited it twice when I went to Georgia. Good atmosphere, good people, actually very friendly people. I'm from Los Angeles so friendly isn't exactly plentiful out here. This place was a very nice change from what I'm use to and I'll be going back when I visit again.

Laid back and easy. Minimal selections. Traditional bar food is yummy. If you want a polished look and feel, this isn't your place. Service was friendly!

If you love hole in the wall bars this place is for you! Great food, great drinks, entertaining people, always an adventure every time I go! The grouper fingers are my fav on the menu and the sweet potato fries! They have karaoke night, bingo and sometimes live music. What more could you ask for

LOL this replaced Faces its cleaner but give it time for the dank to come back, I don't smoke but you can all you want beer, booze, some nights live music and Dave the cook from Roccos. It doesn't get much better than that. NO KIDS at all no chicken tenders, hot dogs NADA just grown ups telling dirty jokes being loud and obnoxious. It isn't Chilli's or TGI Fridays just a good old dive bar. Soon the new smell will wear off once the stale beer and nicotine take over.

I don't get the good reviews. The service was ok, but the bartenders looked pissed off. Like it was a pain in the butt to be there. I can understand the limited beer and liquor options. I think if you're a regular. They take care of you. But, "outsiders" are bottom of the food chain and treated like 2nd class citizens. It definitely likes up to dive bar status. Maybe, I expect a bartender to small and make me feel welcome.

Oddly the best cheese sandwich you will ever eat! Steak was prepared well. Service was good, prices are excellent. And to top it off the bartender is beautiful!

I wanted to share the horrible experience that I had at this establishment. Candice was very rude to me when I asked for a drink, I waited 30 minutes to order the drink and when I finally was able to, she was rude and carried an attitude that was not needed. When I received my drink from her, it was wrong. I was already upset with the service I was receiving and this just topped it off. There is no reason a bartender should be rude to customers. It seems the only thing this place has going for it is an A on their health score. I will not be visiting this establishment again.

Dive bars are great,,this one is the pits. Service is the worst. Unless you smoke a couple packs of cigarettes a day you'll need a shower before bed and to hang your clothes outside to air out. Seriously the staff is always rude and seems pissed off and unless your one of a handful of regulars forget about getting your first beer w/in a reasonable period of time,,or the 2nd or 3rd. I wish i could say it's because they don't want you driving and drinking but that's not it at all. They literally look right past you. The only thing this place has going for it is the open mic jam on thursday's that moved from Darwins a couple years ago; It seriously needs to move again somewhere soon. A group of friends and I have regularly attended on thursday for the jam,,and always left 20% + tips,,,we finally decided to call it quits after no longer being able to put up the shitty attitudes and horrible service. It starts from the top down and the lady who owns the place has apparently never been a strong advocate of customer service. Go figure. Hoyles around the corner is has better food, service and pricing and is grateful for the business.
