Food and drink were yummy!!! service excellent. I love this place

I just stopped by this fantastic bar today for the first time for food and drinks. My Habanero Mango Margarita and Bloody Mary are probably the best I have had at any bar. They had a special guest pop up for food courtesy of Chef Bryan Lindsay. The food was utterly spectacular. The bartender was so nice and friendly and the bar itself was so cute and clean. Highly recommend and will definitely stop by again!

Great little bar in Ditmas Park. Solid bartender who made quality mixed drinks the day we were there. Cool atmosphere. Did not get a chance to try the food, but will definitely go back!

What a neighborhood gem. Cocktails here are really great. Creative, well balanced. At least during the summer on extended weekends (Thurs -Sun) there is food and kids are allowed which is honestly why it's taken us so many months to visit - we weren't sure! Highly recommend and we will be back.

They have a restaurant in the back Comfort Sisters eatz, great food. And the rusty nail has great drinks. I love it.

I've been there several times. It is a charming local spot. In summer they have outside seating. They also have games to play. Drinks are generously poured, and staff is always friendly. Food is provided by a separate kitchen. Always a nice place to have drinks and chat with friends or relaxed date.

Chill vibe and they have board games which was really cool. Had the hot toddy and it was good.

While we did not get to try the food here the atmosphere for the outdoor seating was amazing. Games to play inside and music was on point. Shame the bartender would be one of the worst bartenders I have ever encounter. Rude, dismissive and aggressive. Asked for a beverage was told if I don’t see it we don’t have it. Simple no we don’t carry would have done just fine. She then proceeded to rush me to order while I was reviewing the options like I was instructed to do. Now I know why everyone was outside.

So since I left this review, I have been denied service as I was told yesterday "due to my review." This is illegal and I will be seeking legal action. The rest of my review is below. My son has also been discriminated, a 4 year old kid, really? We have been coming here for years. And i mean years. So, my son, who is only 4 year old, was eating his pizza and the lady from the kitchen came and said "sorry, your son cannot eat his pizza here." I was surprised as this is a 4 year old child. I kid in front of him was eating his formula. I said that the kid in front is having his formula and she said "that is different!" How is that different? You dont have a kids menu and you telling my son he cant have his pizza? So, she said they dont allow people to have their own food there which is i was NOT having. Pardon my son for not eating the pizza buas to why So, we had a weird encounter with the kitchen lady. UPDATE! The bartenders told me they wont serve me because of my review. Shall be getting legal action.

Great local bar and currently hosting Comfort Sisters as a pop up kitchen. We've tried the salmon burger, burger, empanadas and mozzarella sticks and they've all been delicious. It used to be just weekends but food was available on a Monday night - yeah for not cooking in the heat!

Bar staff is the phenomenal and the kitchen is delicious! Frequent regular and love the vibes.

One of the best places I visited on my trip. Bartenders were cool, cool space with a divey vibe and delicious jams on the speakers! + Cocktails were good + Beer list was good + I got a pour of the Single Barrel Blanton's here too (unexpectedly) Conclusion: I wish I came here earlier so I could have come back. If you are in the area, this is one of the top spots!

Ehh I'm so disappointed and really wanted to love this place after finding it in the neighborhood. I came here with my girlfriend in the evening. They have outdoor seating and practiced social distancing. The inside was turned into a liquor store, which was really cool. We ordered our drinks at one side and then food on the other end. For drinks, I had the frozen strawberry margarita which tasted like watered down slush. My friend ordered one of the gin cocktails on the menu and didn't like it. For food, we ordered the honey sriracha wings, the baked wedge fries, the Cajun corn and the pan seared Brussels. The corn was seasoned very well but was overcooked. It had the texture of as if it were previously cooked, then frozen and thawed out to be reheated. The Brussels were just okay, and the wings were dry and could have used more sauce. The wedges were the best item we had ordered. Overall we were not satisfied with the food or drinks but I do appreciate the measures they have taken to practice social distancing.

My dad's favorite cocktail is a rusty nail and no one ever knows how to make it, so I definitely wanted to check this place out! Came here on a Friday night with three friends after work. It was fairly quiet when we first arrived but within an hour or two the place had filled up. There's a nice seating area around the bar, two tables fitting 6 people each in the middle, and then another wrap around seating area along the outside of the space. It's an intimate space but big enough that it doesn't feel crowded. I am a big fan of the decor, too. They have good beers from around BK and other states, along with wine and their signature cocktails. The happy hour is decent, especially for Brooklyn. Their cocktails are pretty good though nothing that blew me away and several tasted watered down (too much ice that took away the flavors). We had the rusty nail, cinnamon smoked old fashioned, and the st. Nicky alexander. They do have a nice assortment of whiskeys and other spirits to chose from if you want something straight. Prices are reasonable. They do have these cool pre-made cocktails from the Wandering Barman. Honestly, we liked those more than most of the drinks that were made fresh. We had the Miss Casanova and the Iron Lady, both delish! The food from Memphis Seoul was pretty good and has good vegan and gluten-free options, but note that you have to pay separately. The sandwiches were more satisfying than the rice bowl as the rice was dry and not fresh. All in all, the atmosphere is nice and everyone who worked there was really warm. If I was in the area I might stop in again, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here (I much prefer their sister bar Sycamore).

Bartender stole my friends card and thought it was "no big deal". Tried to tip himself $10 on the tab the day after.

Great low-key bar in the heart of an area that is still not quite known to the writer of this review. Pressed metal ceiling and no television screens is great. Strong cocktails and skilled staff 8s evenn better.

Came here for late night drinks. They only had outside seating which was fine but the night was particularly cold. I wish they had brought out a few heaters but we thankfully had sweaters in the trunk. We ordered a couple of drinks, the elderflower one was delicious. And some small plates to munch on-- the Brussels sprouts, potatoes, and wings. The wings were really great! A nice neighborhood bar to just sit with some friends and hang out. I'd be back!

Great place to get some quality crispy boys on draft, or from a can. They have a couple non-alcoholic options too, which I always appreciate. The food is surprisingly awesome, I love the beyond burger here. Love the seats in the canopy area with joke hole. They're dog friendly too, which is great, not because I have dogs of my own, but because dogs are often there. Staff takes COVID seriously, masks are on, even the nose is covered!

The Rusty Nail is my neighborhood spot! They have a lovely rotating selection of beers and always have an inspired cocktail list with classics and a handful of seasonal options--there's usually a bramble incorporating a seasonal fruit and herbs and liquor, and this time of year they have hot toddies and hot cider (spiked or not) to warm your winter bones. There's always something new to try as well as any of your classic favorites, their happy hour is extensive and great ( $1 off beer and wine, $5 well drinks, usually a discounted cocktail or two) and the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. As for COVID changes, they've built a covered outdoor area they've adorable dubbed "the porch" which has lots of seating, blankets which they clean after each use and I think even some heaters. There's a bit of covered seating on the sidewalk too, though I haven't sat there in a while and don't know if it's heated. The inside is also charming and well appointed, and hopefully will be able to be opened again sometime soon. Seriously, if you live in the neighborhood (or even if you don't) and you haven't been to this bar--go now!

I've been waiting to try this place for sometime as it's 1 of the new additions to my old neighborhood. Nothing to complain about. Outdoor seating during Covid that's really cool and comfortable. High tables and low tables. Order your drink from the bar- then place your order for food at Stuf'd thru a different window. Find a seat and your food will be right out. The chef is extremely friendly too. The Reuben was delish. Tender meat...thousand island dressing could've used a bit more "umphh" but I still enjoyed it paired with a red cole slaw. I love their signature bread. It's really fluffy but not too soft. The brussels were amaze balls! Lightly seasoned but packing flavor. Forgot the name of my drink but it was some type of sangria that left me with a buzz after 2... don't expect anything too fancy.. this is really a bar setting but in a really cool neighborhood that has changed so much. I will return

Small place that is super cute, friendly and cozy. We got a table right away but the place quickly filled up for great energy. The music is amazing as were the drinks. It's hard to believe that Chris is the one employee running everything from greeting us when we walked in, handling the whole bar by himself and servicing the tables. There was no hitch in service ever. He was friendly and we never had to wait for anything. We didn't eat, just had drinks but I noticed they have a decent selection of food. So nice to have a place like this on the neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Bartender was very friendly and helpful. Love the tasteful decorations and Art Deco door on the wall (apparently it was used in one of the movie versions of the Great Gatsby!) Good selection of cocktails, beer and wine and prices are reasonable ($2 off signature cocktails Saturday and Sunday 1-4). Excited to try the food and happy to see there were vegan options!

Maple Buffalo wings were fire and my daughter and I loved the seasonal cocktails, the cinnamon smoked old fashioned and rum runner. Cesar salad was refreshingly good too! Friendly folks, laid back vibe, loved everything about it!

Stopped by last weekend with a friend for a drink. Ordered margaritas and neither of us could taste any alcohol it was just a cup of sugar. We were better off buying the ready to pour margaritas from the supermarket. Didn't order any food... so can't vouch for that.

When we heard our favorite bar was opening another bar we had to go. We were not disappointed. Service is spectacular, beer was crisp and fresh and cocktails on point. We love the little restaurant that shares the space. What a gem and great addition to the neighborhood. Service stays top notch whether there are 8 people at the bar or the place is packed - kudos!

Hot gay bartender alert! Always has on hot pink eyeliner and is always reading a good book. The frozen drinks are great and the food is pretty good too.

I have lived in this community for 20 yrs and I was happy to see an establishment like this come here. HOWEVER, What I won't tolerate is standing to be served at the bar to watch the female bartender walk past me twice like I didn't exist! Then as soon as I walk off upset a male patron walks up to the bar and is immediately served! The male bartender noticed and apologized. I am not going to go into it being a black and white thing...but if I come back here and it happens again I will. Other than that, the food , drinks and male bartender was awesome.

We were in the neighborhood in search of a quick meal and cocktail. Outdoor seating only as of January 2021 but that's our preference during Covid anyway. I got the fried chicken and biscuits. The chicken was amazing the biscuit was stale. I recommend their hot toddy! Service was very pleasant, heating situation was decent definitely still need a coat.

Been here about 3 or 4 times now and would give it 5 starts each time. Cozy and welcoming environment and the cocktails are great! Glad to have this place open in the neighborhood.

This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. Drinks are amazing, and the draft list is very appealing. Staff were kind and helpful without being overbearing. Will be back....several times.

Great new spot. Beautiful aesthetic and chill atmosphere. It can get loud when it gets busy, but that's what happens when a lot of people fill up a small space. Staff is friendly and attentive. They also have a really cool selection of signature cocktails.

Look this bar is great. I grew up in this neighborhood and mama Luccias has always been an eye sore. I want to give This place 5 stars because the bartenders are excellent but it is 28 degrees outside and the heat is not on inside. The bar has to keep the doors open and the bartender has to keep full winter attire on to stay warm in the middle of winter. If the owner sees this please for the love of god just turn on the heat instead of forcing your employees to freeze.

Wasn't impressed. Went there tonight to support the "neighborhood". It was cute inside but the vibe was off. I was one of 3 blacks and at a point, we seemed invisible. I've had greater cocktails at Erv's , The Parkside and Zombie House where everyone is served and acknowledged. I'm sooo good. I spent $18 too much. Wont be back!

Gave this place a try numerous times. High prices, poor service, no atmosphere, no value. The exact opposite of a "local spot", it feels like a place that is there to service the bar tenders and the bar tenders friends. In a neighborhood sorely lacking of bars, this place leaves me totally disappointed. I'd rather there be no bars in the neighborhood than a place that just ridiculously up charges on everything.

Great local bar in the neighborhood! Chris the bartender is super nice. He has always been a great addition to Rusty Nail since I have been coming here. I would give 10 stars if I could.

I'm so happy this bar opened in my neighborhood. There is a general lack of neighborhood bars in the area, and Rusty Nail is so cute and cozy. Its a new bar so some nights it can get quite crazy in the bar, and its a small space, but the cocktails are great and the Korean food is legit. I'm a black person living in the neighborhood and I definitely don't feel that I've been discriminated against due to my race, but the bar just gets pretty packed some nights because its new.

Great place to spend some time with some friendly people great staff and a really nice atmosphere I would recommend it to all my friends

My kids and I really liked the takeout food! And the bar had a nice vibe too. Especially recommended the steamed buns and rice bowl.
