I asked for everything to not touch ( I’m weird that’s what I like) and it was all in separate dishes to make sure my request was met. Out of all the dishes brought to the table I believe only one of us enjoyed our meal. It was later told to me that the owner passed and it is under new management so maybe that’s why it was so. The place looked kind of run down like a hole in the wall. Our server was very nice and attentive.

Google
I had meatloaf, mac n cheese & green beans. Meatloaf and mac n cheese were pretty good. The green beans were kind of salty, and I like salt! Server was friendly, energetic and engaging.

We are visiting from Arizona and happened upon this gem of a restaurant. The food is cooked fresh daily. The servers make sure you that you feel welcomed and at home. Dana has been our server a few times now. She was the first to serve my wife and I. Her love of the restaurant, passion to make sure you have great food and service, as well as being super friendly and kind is what has brought us back to this restaurant multiple times. We will continue to come to this lovely establishment any time we come through Columbus.

Google
First time eating here and I've been staying in Tri-City since 2000. I must say, it's worth coming back. There wad no wait. I immediately got greeted when I entered ( on a Saturday morning). And the food was good at a reasonable price

Google
I never imagined "the perfect menu" for me until I ate here on a solo date! Affordable and delicious! Awesome service as well! I was so excited when my food arrived that I didn't have a chance to snap any pics! To top it off a classic song came on while finishing! Definitely an awesome experience from start to finish!

We visited Columbus while hiding from Hurricane Milton and couldn’t pass up a shot at giving Ruth Ann’s Restaurant a try. While there were plenty of options that sounded appealing, the chicken & gravy with a fried egg was the winner and it was lights out. Coffee was also good and the staff was both friendly and attentive. All in all a great visit.

Google
It was our second time in Columbus Ga, my son heard about from friends. Our experience there and the food was outstanding. I’ve had the best scrabbled eggs and red velvet pancakes there. We all enjoyed our meal. Definitely worth stopping by if happen to be in the area.

Google
Super cozy and southern spot! Very tolerant of my gluten allergy. Meal was $11 and very yummy and filling. My server Katie was super patient and kind, and made sure to check in often! Thanks guys. :)

Yelp
Cute little local diner - have all of your typical favorites for breakfast/brunch. Service was great and food was good, too

Yelp
I went to this restaurant and ate and the waitresses were very rude. I couldn't get nobody to bring me my second drink and they were kind of rushing me out of the booth, like they had somebody more important to sit in it.So I just said to h*** with this place..... Now I'm going to Yelp, and I'm gonna post it here too. Thanks for nothing. I got a meal that was worth 20% or whatever I paid for it. I got attitude which I didn't pay for and I got that in abundance If the waitresses at this restaurant had their way, you'd walk in one door drop your money in a bucket and turn around and leave. So they could have it, they don't care about your service

Yelp
The staff is nice. The look and feel of the place is good and feels like it's been there a long while. All the food I tried the couple of times we went while in town was very tasty. Especially the Grande breakfast burrito and the tall glass of orange juice. Whenever I visit Columbus again, I will most definitely come to Ruth Ann's again!

Yelp
We love Ruth Ann's Restaurant! It's definitely a staple for Columbus GA for many, many years! We live in Jacksonville FL. The last time we were here was in 2020. Today we were traveling in the area and knew we had to stop in for breakfast! We love their pancakes! Also our server Diane was super friendly! Today my wife and I got the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes with Turkey Sausage and Hash browns. Very good! Definitely recommend Ruth Ann's!

Yelp
After a terrible experience at another restaurant this morning, we decided to come back to Ruth Ann's. The servers always welcome us like family, like your favorite auntie had you over for breakfast. The food was amazing, the specials were great, and the whole place just radiated warmth. They truly turned our morning (and our mood) completely around. We'll be back soon!

Michael H.

Yelp
So this morning we had to leave another restaurant for bad service. Came to Ruth Ann's because we've never had a bad service here. Server was amazing and very personable and treated you like she was serving you in her own house. The food is always amazing and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good diner experience

Yelp
Great food great service. Carrying on with the family tradition club sandwich And Hash Browns are my favorite

Yelp
I experienced a group of seven Hispanics come into the restaurant mid-morning. They were very well dressed, well mannered and had three small children with them. These were not the typical Hispanics you see in Phenix City or Columbus. They were, I'll guess here, a military family or group, just based on their demeanor and appearance. They were told they'd have to wait 25 minutes for a server because the server wasn't ready for another table. Mind you, there were two to three tables available for them to sit. I've been to ruth anns a few times and have never seen this treatment of anyone. To see it with my own eyes, deliberately, and with zero valid reasons to make them wait, was painful even to me. I hope this isn't representative of ruth anns as a whole.

Yelp
Had a really nice visit here to conclude a wonderful weekend in Columbus! My husband stumbled upon this place during his search for a local spot we could grab breakfast before heading out. It didn't disappoint. Everyone was friendly, it felt like your classic dinner and the menu provides a delightful downhome feel. My brother in law got the breakfast big meat plate and he enjoyed. My sister had the cap n crunch French toast. It's more like a dusting of the crumbs that are at the bottom of the cereal bag but I enjoyed them, moreso than my cinnamon swirl pancakes. Her sausage links were over cooked. My eggs and bacon were satisfactory and my husband enjoyed his salmon croquettes. The service was good. I ordered the cotton ball latte to go, white chocolate/macadamia flavored and it was delightful!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious! We love Ruth Ann's for a simple diner style breakfast. They are a staple to the Columbus area for a reason. Always crowded, great service, good prices, and a hometown feel. Worth the visit!

Yelp
Loved the food, great taste and I don't feel the need to drown it in salt, pepper and hot sauce like many breakfast places. I'd say I enjoyed the portion sizes, both of us left full. The cappuccino was great without any added sweetness. My friend had gotten the breakfast platter. The pancakes were fluffy, everything's looked and tasted great. Our waiter was very kind and knowledgeable. He was very on top of it as well. The ambience is a perfect mix of southern and modern. The booths are comfortable, we were well spaced I didn't feel super crowded with other customers. The staff looked like they genuinely enjoy their jobs, I like seeing that rather than wait staff running stressed and slapping a smile on when they get to the table. They were quick, and happy. I definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Very good. Friendly service Homestyle cooking Clean restaurant Definitely recommend stopping in

Yelp
Classy place for Georgia diner food. The attention to presentation shows how's ch pride is taken. My friend Denise and I were the only women customers. The other customers were good old boys. Next I visit Columbus, I'll go again.
google avatar

Katie S.

Yelp
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. There wasn't hardly any wait time, and the service was on point! Ambiance could be a bit more appealing overall. However the place was well maintained. I'd definitely would go again!

David H.

Yelp
The owner could be educated on persons with disabilities. The owner is unread on public services and disrespectful to people who have unseen disabilities. Does not matter if you are an emergency responder, Columbus citizen or a veteran. She doesn't care.

Yelp
We had about a ten minute wait before being seated. This place seems to be the place to be on Saturday mornings, it was packed inside with a wait outside. Oh yes we're in the right place for breakfast. I love to travel to Columbus, it's about a two hour drive from Atlanta, seems like everytime I run into a jewel of a restaurant here. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake french toast with a side of eggs and they were delicious. Inside the strawberry french toast was a strawberry cream cheese compote, it was rich creamy and delicious more like a breakfast dessert although it's not overly sweet at all. My breakfast companion ordered eggs grits and an ole country time favorite streak a lean lots of it too. When I'm in town this will be my go to for a good Ole country breakfast. The service was wonderful too.

Yelp
I wanted to support a local restaurant instead of a chain. Found Ruth Ann's on google maps. They were busy and we had to wait 35 minutes, good sign. Server was great and it was a clean place. My husband ordered the rooster which is fried chicken on a biscuit with an egg and gravy. He got chicken nuggets on biscuit with eggs and gravy. It tasted fine. I ordered a corn beef and tater tot omelet and got an omelette with the corn beef hash you buy in a can. I Couldn't eat the hash, no good, but the egg part of the omelet was good, hash browns crispy and delicious and the biscuit tasted good. If you go ask for clarification on what you are ordering. The Captain Crunch French toast looked interesting and the neighboring table gets them ever time they eat there. Try those

Bridgett F.

Yelp
Awesome waitress and delicious food! We enjoyed our brunch. They even sang happy birthday to my husband and gave him a slice of cake! We will be back next time where in Columbus.
google avatar

Jasmyn P.

Yelp
We looked at the menu prior to going to breakfast. Pictures are deceiving! If you're thinking about going, just don't even do it. Take yourself right over to Café 431. We waited an extremely long time to get a table. Customer service sucked and we were constantly talking to the waitress about things that we needed that should have been provided. Food was subpar and overpriced. The diner is outdated and needs a facelift.
google avatar

Yelp
Diner style eating!! Just regular old country dining. The food was good, but don't be surprised if you saw your server outside taking a smoke break on your way in!! Lol!! Everyone was nice and laid back. We really enjoyed the chicken Florentine omelette. The Philly cheesesteak omelette had some tough steak though!! The peach lemonade was amazing!!

Yelp
Best Breakfast in town. Whether you're a hungry Ranger student, graduate, or dropout, this place will put you right back on your feet. Friendly staff and cleanliness are a top priority here. Big sustain! Keep it up Ruth Ann!
google avatar

Kylie C.

Yelp
The service was excellent! She was prompt, communicative and kept the coffee cups full! I believe her name was Shaun. The food was fresh, hot and great servings. I had the vegetarian omelet which was cooked just right. My husband had the breakfast burrito and loved the salsa that came with it. My mother in law got the eggs meal with bacon and pan lakes and she was very happy with the quality. If we were locals we would come back but as we are from out of town we can only recommend it.Overall a great experience!
google avatar

Yelp
Fortunate to go on a Friday morning (6/2) and it was not as busy as it usually looks which is a plus for our first time trying. Katie was great and attentive. I understand they are short staffed here but service was pretty quick so no complaints there. Husband ordered the Rooster and we ordered kid cakes for the kiddo. For myself I went for the captain crunch French toast. Food was great! Not entirely sure how I was expected the food to be but I'm relieved the French toast didn't end up being overly sweet. Overall this place is local, cozy, and decently priced. Hoping to be back soon!

Yelp
Nice breakfast spot with attentive staff. Had simple things like eggs, hash browns and toast but it was all very good. I was never here before the remodel but it has a new finish on the floor and booths that are comfortable and good looking. Staff is friendly and helpful as I asked about the area.

Yelp
The food was amazing and the French onion burger definitely was life changing. Ruth Anne's is a new favorite of mine and our server Dana helped us out so much. Great service and great food. Will definitely come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Good staple breakfast items. Friendly and fast service. One of the better veggie omelette my husband has had.

Tim G.

Yelp
Food was cold, portions were small Server didn't care. No refill on coffee. Over priced.

James P.

Yelp
I have eaten breakfast here many years ago and thought I would try lunch. It was good. We were seated quickly and the food was brought out promptly. Not much to look at but the food was good. They also serve breakfast anytime of the day. Try the biscuits and gravy (white gravy or tomato gravity). It is hard to find a restaurant that serves tomato gravy. I will be going back!

Yelp
This is a GEM! Our party of 5 enjoyed good service and delicious food. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Columbus!

Yelp
Classic Breakfast restaurant been open since 1952. Great food, Excellent service. Great value for perfectly prepared food. They only serve Lunch and breakfast, they close at 2pm

Mel C.

Yelp
Very good food and great customer service! I'll be going back when I'm in Georgia again.

Yelp
Classic diner serving up southern food! This is a homey feeling breakfast spot with sweet treats and some savory options. If you want health foods look elsewhere but if you want comfort this is the place. It is a diner so expect diner food but as far as breakfast options in Columbus go, this is a solid choice. Fast seating, short waits, amazing service, and good food and prices.
google avatar

Yelp
I've done pickup here a few times. It's ready on time. The food is good. The inside is definitely more updated than the outside.
google avatar

Yelp
Ruth Ann's is a nice southern brunch spot in Columbus, GA. On our visit, we ordered the country fried steak and the red velvet pancakes. The country fried steak tasted like a classic southern dish. The steak was tender, had a nice crunch on the outside from the fried batter and was topped with gravy. The country fried steak came with eggs and two sides (we ordered the hash browns and whole wheat toast). Their hash browns tasted like normal hash browns, nothing special. The red velvet pancakes come topped with a huge pile whipped cream. As soon as they set the plate of pancakes down, our waitress warned us to watch for the whipped cream as it tends to slide off, and right after I took the picture it slid off. The red velvet pancakes were underwhelming, they didn't have the pop of flavor that you expect from red velvet. They were a slightly richer flavor than normal pancakes. The interior is surprisingly big, and on a Sunday at 10:30, my party of 2 waited less than 5 minutes to be seated. The hostess and our server were both very nice and welcoming.

Tony T.

Yelp
Wasn't good. Food not good. Service was okay. Just didn't like the food at all. Bland.
google avatar

Kelsey L.

Yelp
Holy YUM! Ruth Ann's has been on my list of restaurants to try for a while now and now I'm sad that it took so long and that I've been missing out on this little gem. Usually when we drive by during peak brunch hours, there is a crowd of people waiting but when we arrived at 8:30 in the AM on a Sunday, we were seated right away. The service was great - our waitress was lovely and the food came out quickly! The cinnamon swirl pancake was definitely the star of the show. Probably the best pancakes I've ever had! Overall, we were super impressed and will be back soon!
google avatar

Yelp
We'd driven past this place a few times and wanted to try it. Can't say the wait was long or the service was bad. What I can say is we spent about $18.50 (before tip) for a salmon croquettes dish and a very small plate of hash browns (which also had uncooked onions and bell peppers, extra charge at $2.00 which the server should have told us would be extra). Portions were ridiculously small (think of Michael Douglas at the burger place in "Falling Down"), food was below average at best and the cornbread was dry and mealy. The place was packed but honestly I don't understand why people come here at all, it's literally a culinary disaster. And I don't give bad reviews lightly, I know restaurants are struggling, but damn, seriously? Why is this place popular? Completely baffling and exceptionally pathetic

Yelp
Great little diner for a Sunday breakfast, or any day I suppose! We wanted breakfast, nothing fancy, just good hearty fill your belly breakfast and on Sunday that can be hard to find because restaurants want to do a fancy brunch. Ruth Ann's is perfect for a good hearty breakfast. Nothing fancy about the food, location or service, basically just average all the way around. We waited about 10-15 minutes so not too bad. Typical of a busy restaurant with a wait, the welcome was just "How many?" so not too friendly. Same with our server, too rushed to really be friendly but still provided efficient service. The food was good, nothing to rush back for but it was good. The Captain Crunch french toast sure looks gorgeous and inviting but the flavor is seriously lacking. It's good french toast, just not the Captain Crunch we were looking for! The best looking item at our table was the giant breakfast burger, it was huge and looked amazing! My son barely took a breath while he powered it down and the best part was that he was full when he was done! If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely go back to Ruth's for a good solid home cooked breakfast!
google avatar

Jael T.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious. I recommend the Chicken fried steak, but I heard good things about the omelette and the chicken salad as well. Not many options out in Columbus, GA but I highly recommend.

Yelp
Came around 9:30am on a Saturday with a party of 5 & was immediately seated, although there was a sizeable wait pretty soon after so your mileage may vary. The service was good. All of the food we ordered came out in less than 10 minutes. Irish latte - creamy & sweet Sourdough toast - not tooo toasty, but came pre-buttered with just the right amount. Country fried steak - giving a strong shoutout to this one. the sunny side up eggs were cooked to perfection. The whites were cooked just the right way where they were solid, yet still preserved the yolk. The steak itself was also cooked to perfection, being fried just so it's tender enough to be cut by a butter knife, but not too soft where it doesn't lose it's texture. After reading the reviews, I expecting the worst, & pleasantly surprised at just how good the service & food was. Just goes to show, just like you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, don't judge a restaurant by it's reviews.

Yelp
I've lived here my whole life and somehow I am just now eating here for the first time. The service was great and the food was good. No complaints. Will definitely be returning to try the patty melt and the pancakes, since I've been hearing so much about them. I had the tuna salad sandwich with the broccoli rice casserole. My mom had country fried steak with cabbage. We also ordered the fried cheese curds and they were delicious!

Leigh Anne R.

Yelp
The food was delicious! We went back the next day and we were lucky to have Stephanie wait on us the 2nd time. Her service is the main reason we came back. She's outstanding!

Tara S.

Yelp
My family and I went to Ruth Ann's this morning for breakfast and it was busy but amazing our server's name was Dana she was very friendly helpful and efficient we had amazing service and the food was fantastic I had been there before but I've never tried the bubble waffle until today and oh my goodness it was amazing so if you're looking for a good place to go for breakfast or brunch you've got to try this place.
google avatar

Jon G.

Yelp
Food is amazing! Service is impeccable (but the waitresses can't wiggle their noses to make food appear, it's made to order). Love this place!

Audrey L.

Yelp
Such a cute small town diner. Great food and our waitress made it a very enjoyable experience!
google avatar

Angel S.

Yelp
If you're in the area during a graduation or just visiting someone at Benning, don't hesitate to give this restaurant a visit. The breakfast is on point! We had a party of 12 and they carried out the service flawlessly! The restaurant isn't aesthetically well decorated, however that's the charm of it. Come by and feel the southern hospitality of Ruth Ann's
google avatar

Taneisha J.

Yelp
Nice breakfast. Portions were smaller than anticipated. Extremely disappointing that the Benedict's don't come with hashbrowns or any other side. Ordered the Georgian Benedict for $10.99 and had to spend extra for hashbrowns and bacon (equally disappointing portions for the price). The food was delicious though. Server was friendly. The red velvet pancakes were off the mark for my taste. Whipped cream a little too sweet. My favorite was the country fried steak. Will return to try their lunch menu at a later date.
google avatar

Britny N.

Yelp
My husband and I love this place. The breakfast is classic with little twists like the capt crunch French toast. We had to wait a little while because it was packed for breakfast. But other than the wait this place is awesome and we will definitely be back.

Christopher K.

Yelp
Went out for breakfast with a friend at 9am. Had a 25 minute wait for a table. We ordered our drinks, 2 coffees and two waters. The waitress brought back just one coffee so I asked if I could also get mine during our food order. Food took about 20 minutes to get after our order. They didn't bring our a side of bacon and a side of toast that my friend ordered. We didn't get a coffee refill or offer for the one cup of coffee my friend got. We left Ruth Ann's still hungry and unsatisfied. The day was pretty busy, Saturday morning.
