The Ruth Ellis Center is more than an organization—it’s a movement rooted in love, resilience, and the unwavering commitment to uplifting LGBTQ+ youth, particularly young people of color. Inspired by the incredible legacy of Ruth Ellis, this center continues her powerful work by providing safety, support, and life-changing opportunities to those who need it most. From housing and healthcare to advocacy and community-building, the Ruth Ellis Center creates a space where young people can not only survive but truly thrive. Their mission is a testament to the power of compassion and the impact of investing in the future of marginalized communities. Supporting this center means honoring Ruth Ellis’s incredible legacy while actively shaping a world where every LGBTQ+ young person has the opportunity to build a bright, fulfilling future. Grateful for the vital work they do every single day!

A safe place for teens that are LGBTQ+ My friends and I used to meet up there and have fun! The food was always good and the staff were like family! This was 18 years ago for be though! I'm sure this still holds true!☺️🩷

Denied adult care after having made an appointment due to be being over 22 years of age. Typical ngo nonsense.

Great place to get hormone therapy, but they keep scheduling my appointments for times that they aren’t there! They’re almost always in the middle of a meeting when I show up, which means I have to wait outside for god knows how long until someone decides to show up. It’s happened at least 3 times now.

They helped me get on T without any cost. Super nice and understanding, they want to help with anything they can. Big on sex education, which is sorely needed in this country.

My child is in their home. Lack of communication by staff is profoundly understated. Getting them to communicate with a parent SHOULD NOT BE THIS HARD. Staff is friendly to me, but already have had a report of misunderstanding of my child by a staff member.
