17 Best Wineries for Picnics in Napa and Sonoma - Eater SF

"Take in what is arguably the most spectacular view of Napa Valley from Rutherford Hill Winery’s shady oak grove. These picnic tables are so coveted that they cost $75 to reserve, but that fee is waived with an equal value purchase of wine, an easy feat when picnicking with a group. During the summer, Rutherford Hill stays open late on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings for sunset sipping. From 5-8 p.m., you can purchase wines by the bottle — from sauvignon blanc to malbec, they’ve got something for everyone — to pair with your picnic fare, or a Dean and Deluca charcuterie board. No reservation is required for the sunset experience." - Jess Lander, A. K. Carroll

A truly memorable experience at Rutherford Hill Winery! We were hosted by Ryan, who did a fantastic job accommodating our family’s diverse wine preferences. I’m a red wine enthusiast (who will happily enjoy a white), my wife prefers white and just lightly sips reds, and our daughter leans toward white but loves experimenting with new reds. Ryan navigated all of that with ease and curated a tasting that delighted each of us. The setting was just as spectacular as the wine—perched high on the hill with sweeping views of the valley below. We stayed cool under a canopy of umbrellas while sipping through a generous and varied lineup of wines. Everything we tasted was so good that we ended up joining the wine club on the spot! The team was so efficient with our order that the shipment nearly beat us home! A huge thanks to Ryan and everyone at Rutherford Hill for an unforgettable afternoon in wine country. We’ll definitely be back!

Wine tasting about hour and a half and thirty minutes for Lord of the rings wine cave tour. Unforgettable experience! Super chill with amazing views, outdoor tasting. Great wine, great hospitality, great education. Walking inside that man-made cave was unreal; like a giant ant hill you can walk through.

Google
Great views, good wines, higher prices but service was not par to the premium experience that we hopped for. When we arrived we went to the concierge to find both of them talking amongst themselves right in front of us for almost 5m not greeting or acknowledging our presence. We left thinking maybe we are the wrong place when wandering around trying to find where to go we were approached by some staff that were very courteous and redirected us to the place we first started, after a few more minutes we were greeted by one of the servers that was really thoughtful and explained the tasting options and again we were forwarded to the concierge once again. After some more wait we were directed by them to our new server, that to be fair, was really good throughout the whole tasting, but at the end we were again left waiting not sure quite some time not sure if we should wait more or head out to the exit to settle the bill. We left and clearly upon arrival it was clear that someone should have explained the club options and assist us on the way out.

Google
Great service, amazing newly remodeled outside area for hosting wine tasting, absolutely breathtaking view. We took the top option and had an unobstructed view of Napa valley for ourselves.

Google
We had a great time at our tasting here! Cameron walked us through every wine, discussed the years and process, and answered all our questions. We got to see the barrels the wine was kept in and they just had so much knowledge. They also let us do our tasting inside because it was a very hot day. They had water for us and we were able to eat the lunch we brought with us. The wines were also really good, from the rose to the signature blend. The views were gorgeous and the ambiance was lovely.

Google
They have a fantastic team of knowledgeable individuals who provide an exceptional guest experience. Their new facilities are breathtaking, to say the least, and their wines are wonderfully complex and delicious in flavor! A special thanks to Cameron and Rae for making our experience extra special!

Google
Our wine tasting and wine pick up were great experiences! Every employee was so helpful and patient listening to our questions and requests. It was a wonderful, special time despite the rain ☔️ drizzle. Kudos to Stephanie Jacob’s!!! She is continuing the delicious wines we all love at Rutherford Hill.

Google
Rachel is excellent with great knowledge of surroundings. Definitely recommend her when you stop by here for a tasting. If you make reservations for view of the valley, they will also have your personalized greetings printed on tasting list Manu. Great place to take a rest, have some picnic, or just chill. Cave visit is on weekend only.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our wine tasting tour which included the caves. Stunning property but one of the most delicious Malbecs (my personal favorite). Great service! They also have an Atv tour that we are looking at doing next time.

Yelp
2.5 stars... Another joint we wanted to hit up as it has been many years, and I loved their Merlot! Seated outdoors in a cabana as the temperature was rising... server bounced around to several other groups and would pop in with a new bottle. Whites were not cool enough, even the server agreed. It was too warm outside to really enjoy the reds. Not the experience we remember, and the tastings really should be indoors instead of on a hot concrete patio. Ambiance is part of the experience, and this one was poor.

Yelp
This is a multi-layered review. I was really looking forward to buying one of my favorite wines (Episode) which I had written to them about in my reservation. However, I ended up being very disappointed by the customer service experience. - "Episode" wine from Rutherford Hill gets 5 stars from me. For the price, in my opinion, this is one of the best red blends in Napa. I love it. - Karley, the woman who served us gets 4 stars. What I loved about what she did was that she actually did a Google search on me and she knew who I was and what I did for a living. That was unbelievably impressive. What I wasn't pleased about was the tasting process was very slow. Slower than it should be. - Now let's get to the manager, Logan. He gets one star. If I could do ZERO stars, that's what I would give him. I come to Napa to buy wine that I really care about. They knew I cared about Episode because I put that in the reservation. Not only was that not included in the tasting, Logan would NOT allow me to taste my favorite wine until I agreed to buy a case first. In all my years of coming to Napa, I have never experienced something like this at any good winery. Frankly, I would have bought two cases if Logan hadn't managed like the customer "no-service" department. The difference of a great enterprise has to start with the management. My message to Rutherford Hill... as a businessman who has run a global businesses - I'd take a good long look at whether you want Logan representing your brand.

Yelp
We had the best experience here! Karen, our guide, led us through the beautiful property and amazing cave giving us an outstanding learning experience as well as sharing their phenomenal wines. It was definitely the highlight of the day and weekend!

Yelp
My partner and I did the "ATV" tour and tasting at Rutherford Hill Winery and bought two bottles of wine. It was a first time to this winery and we booked online via Tock. While the description centered the "ATV" (a literal four person vehicle that acts as a shuttle to the hillside grow) I'd say it didn't add much to the experience other than the view. While we didn't expect to drive the ATVs ourselves we didn't know much what to expect given the very brief description online. I wouldn't say it was a "bonus" I'd go back for. Overall, we were a bit underwhelmed. Lori (our guide) was knowledgeable and friendly. She was kind and navigated unexpected obstacles (such as a broken cork while tasting out in the field- she was able to save it) very well. However, as an end to end experience there were opportunities for improvement. It was a bit off from the beginning, we booked a tour at 11am in advance (our preferred time). My partner was actually contacted in advance and asked if we'd switch to the 2pm tour to join another couple. We are very flexible (having come from fine dining myself, I understand how this might be easier for the establishment and the staff). However, I don't think they reached out to the other guests to confirm their tasting. When we arrived, we were impacted by late guests and cut short by their schedule since they voiced they had scheduled their flight immediately after their tasting. While the winery did give us a little extra taste of a port at the end (upon our request) we felt they could have been a bit more accommodating at the end to compensate for the time we lost out in the vineyard m. It was a bit of a disappointment since we were looking to take our time, planned our time in advance, and we're convinced to adjust to their schedules. Having switched to a time later in the day it was very hot on the hillside, and we were not offered water while in the vineyard. If you have the opportunity to maintain the 11am, I'd recommend you take advantage. Their winery is know more for production of the typical style of the region, Boudreaux blends and varietals. While the wine was full bodied, there weren't any distinctive characteristics or narratives behind any of the bottle that captured our attention for membership.

Yelp
Karen H was a great host during our tasting. We actually called last minute and was able to get a reservation for 6 when they opened our favorite wine which we purchased was the Sauvignon Blanc. The black label is gorgeous and it was crisp and refreshing. We were able to tour the cave which was so cool to be inside. They held our bottles until we finished having lunch down the way at Auberge du soleil. There's also ev charging on property which was nice and convenient. The views from the hill is pretty amazing. It's a great winery.

Yelp
So drinking wine is not my cup of tea..but I have other appreciations of it..it's super fun to tour wineries and visit and the buildings are awesome..the landscapes are awesome..in United States..Napa county..sure..hang out at table and sip and have some company and do that again..fun

Yelp
This winery is absolutely stunning. It's located on a hill so you have wonderful views across and below. They have great seating areas under gazebos or umbrellas. It's just a pretty winery. I highly recommend!

Ashlyn H.

Yelp
My husband and I had an amazing experience at Rutherford Hill Winery. We did the ATV tour and cave wine tasting with Karen. If possible, you should request Karen as your guide and wine host. She went above and beyond to make our experience their memorable! My husband and I got to meet and talk with their winemakers', which was awesome and really made our experience special. It ended up being our favorite winery experience in all of Napa, which says a lot because my husband and visited several wineries and did the wine train tour there. Plus the wines at Rutherford Hill are very good, so we ended up joining the wine club too!

Yelp
Beautiful place to go and relax with friends and family, I love the tour! You can also bring snacks of your own. Napa California is so beautiful and close to where I live.

Jami H.

Yelp
Beautiful scenery and great wine. Very knowledgeable about all the wines and flexible with timing. They offer ATV tours and cellar tours.

Yelp
Had a really nice time wine tasting here today. Nice atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff. Good reds. Definitely recommended!

Jonathan S.

Yelp
We called in advance about running late to our tasting, and the woman that answered was rude and passive aggressive. Don't go here. When we arrive, we heard her speak about us to other customers which was pretty shocking. Ironically, the place was pretty empty, so we were confused why she was so upset by our late arrival. Our server was so nice but overall the experience was severely dampened by her behavior. Do not recommend.

Yelp
On a family trip to San Fran, we decided to sneak up to Napa for an afternoon. We had never been to a winery before, so we didn't know what to expect. We booked the ATV and Cave tour, but due to heavy rain we didn't get to do the ATV tour. Logan was our guide and gladly reduced the cost for us because of this. Logan was super friendly and very knowledgeable. He didn't mind all the questions we threw at him. It was a very nice tour and some very delicious wine. The cave tour was awesome with the personal tasting area setup very nicely. I strongly recommend giving them a try, we had a great time. Thank You Logan for everything.

Yelp
Nice rustic picnic area. You can order wine and food to nosh on. We had a lovely pinot noir. Some tables had coverings. Very beautiful setting. You can see the vast Napa Valley from the right table.
google avatar

AL B.

Yelp
The wine is ok, but the service is terrible. We roasted outside in 90*+ weather with empty wine and water glasses. No one came out to serve us after 45 minutes of waiting.
google avatar

Miranda S.

Yelp
We rented the picnic area and had a bottle of their Pinot. It was so lovely! The view from the hill is incredible and the amenities provided (water, cups, etc.) was so lovely. The Pinot was lovely and we would definitely come back for the picnic area!
google avatar

Ken B.

Yelp
This is a lovely Winery up the hill. Wish the tasting would have taken advantage of the beautiful view though. Very nice young lady serving us on a weekday. Worth a visit imo. Very comfortable experience unlike Stags' Leap.

Yelp
Went with my friend who is a wine number so got tastings for free! Good bubbly and also very delicious reds. Didn't love anything enough to take it home however. Got to try some special things that were open as well as our server was very accommodating. They are very busy so if you can snag an early morning reservation he will get the place to yourself. There's also nice picnic area across the parking lot but you have to get a reservation for that now. Ample parking and a nice drive through a winding wine country road. I would certainly come here if you are doing wine tasting in the area as it has beautiful grounds and is very classic quintessential Napa Valley.

Bob P.

Yelp
Do not go here. Customer service is terrible. The picnic tables reservation is $200 for 6 people. You have to bring your own lunch and buy 3 bottles of wine. Manager is condescending and staff was overtly rude. I hate the idea of leaving a bad review - and this is the first one I have ever posted. We tried speaking with the manager and were so insulted by his response. The wine is terrible btw.

Yelp
I'm not really sure how to start this review just because I'm incredibly grateful and appreciative of all the hard work and intentionality with the staff at Rutherford specifically Karen, Melissa and Carrie. My sister and her fiancée are members at Rutherford and I had a firsthand experience of their excellent customer service and exemplary attention to detail. Karen has been our wine educator, who is AMAZING and very well versed on wine. Not only is she detail oriented but a true light and emulates kindness and professionalism in all that she does. I totally have to rave about my sister's surprise proposal in the cave which was the epitome of romance and intimacy. Through the excellent assistance and support of Melissa and Karen, we transformed the cave dining room experience into a magical yet intimate space. I couldn't have done without the help of melissa, Karen and Carrie. Melissa is your go to person for details, innovation and has a wonderful attitude and it shows in her work. I mean seriously, these women are hard working, kind, and will do whatever it takes to get the job done! Even though my husband and I are met members (yet), we look forward to coming back to Rutherford because we experience a different t level of customer service and a family like love and appreciation. These are the kind people you want in your corner for special events like birthdays, family wine nights etc.

Yelp
What amazing place with lots of history, we went to Napa for our 16th. Anniversary and spent the afternoon at Rutherford Hill for the cave experience tasting. We had Karen, as our guide and attended to our every need she had an abundance of knowledge and educated us all on wine and the Napa region, we can't wait to go back! If you visit remember to ask for Karen, she makes all the difference.

Yelp
Will not be back... I paid for 2 online and added a charcuterie platter paid in full online. When we arrived the lady working desk apologized said she doesn't usually do this jib did not see I paid for a charcuterie platter so I was charged again. We were seated took about 40 minutes for anyone to come over this guy walked up with a bottle didn't intro himself just poured us some random nasty wine. We were never given a list of wines a price sheet nothing. I paid over $200 and was not worth it at all we will not be back thanks TikTok for misleading us.

Ngoc L.

Yelp
Off course every winery here now need reservation for visiting & the place was nice with the view & open to nature. The wine tasting is ok but it could be better with more connection & explanation about the wine maker to create it & make these wines different. I still like the vibe

Nick M.

Yelp
We visited Rutherford Hill just to sit in their picnic area and try one of their bottles. The view and grounds were beautiful and the wine was good. The catch was that it cost $130 just to sit at a picnic table! We had no idea it was going to cost this much as this didn't even include the wine! There was no service either so what were we paying for? Long story short, the setting was great but beware of hidden costs! I wouldn't recommend coming here for any causal event.
google avatar

Yelp
Great experience visiting recently for wine tasting. Booked an appt online with ease about a week before our visit. Arrived to a beautiful winery and estate. Tastings are conducted in two areas with the closer being for wine club members, but the other area is set amidst some beautiful landscaping. Wines were excellent and the person helping us was charming. Good safety policies and adherence to mask rules.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome Experience and beautiful property! Went to Rutherford Hill to celebrate a bachelorette and this was the best wine tasting experience from the whole trip. Kamran was AWESOME! He gave us a nice tour of the property and was so informative because we def asked a lot of questions :) . He was even our group photographer and helped us capture the best shots. The wine selection was wonderful and he provided us with great explanations. Me not being the biggest fan of wine, I was able to walk away with a newfound understanding of variations and some great bottles to take home and enjoy. Kamron was just THE best. If you ever go for a tour ask for him.

Yelp
After waiting 25 minutes past our reservation we were finally sat, even though our table was open the entire time, and then had to wait any additional 10 minutes to even get a glass of water and first tasting. Then our server disappeared twice and then switched us to another server. When I asked to speak to a manager, they weren't available and the woman who checked us in listened to my complaint. Rather than offering to comp the four tastings, she said the only thing she could do was comp 2. I had been previously and had a great experience which is why we went back and brought two friends but now I will not be returning again.
google avatar

J E.

Yelp
This place has an amazing-looking tasting room built of huge timbers! Unfortunately, our tasting was in a dirt lot across the parking lot from that nice building. The trees were all grown up, so we couldn't see the valley below. IF the trees were trimmed the views from here would be amazing. Wines are not at all something we enjoyed... very basic, bordering on bad. Our server was awesome! She was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our chats with her, too bad the wines and views aren't better or this would have been an excellent experience!
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
Amazing wine, good charcuterie and amazing service. We had the best wine tasting with Jimmy. He gave us great facts about the wine and region. Also, he gave us generous pours and gave us specialized tasting menus with our names on them! This was one of my favorite wine tastings. I will def be back.
google avatar

Ione Y.

Yelp
Never return! This place is a scam! We were charged $170 just to sit on a table and it wasn't even peak season. This was as expensive than staying in a hotel. The place was empty, so it makes no sense and all $170 for the table + 50 for a sparkling wine. We were four and stayed for one hours. We made the reservation online, we asked the table to the waiter and when paying the wine, big surprise: $170 table charge. This should be illegal!!! This place is a scam!!! NEVER AGAIN!

Michelle B.

Yelp
A gem of a place. Cameron was awesome and made us feel welcome and cared for during our tasting. Wines were wonderful and right for our palate. Left with four of them!

Gargi C.

Yelp
Not a fan of their wine. It smelled weird. We paid $200 for a 6-person picnic table which did not include wine tasting, and we had to buy 3 mediocre bottles on top of that. Other wineries are so much more worth it from an experience and wine quality standpoint. Would have been a lot more satisfied if I did not have to pay that $200. Go to rombauer instead!

Hailie E.

Yelp
My husband and I are from Napa. we came here and when we got to the tasting room there was only one woman working, and let me tell you!!!! Thank goodness we stumbled across her. Her name was Karly she was absolutely one of the most educational wine educators I've had a pleaser of meeting. She really knew her stuff and on top of that, she was just a blast. You can tell she takes pride in what she does and in this day and time that is a rarity. She is a gem. If you want an amazing experience just ask for karley! She won't disappoint! Rutherford hill, y'all lucky to have someone with such passion and drive to work there! She's a keeper.
google avatar

Josh H.

Yelp
Could resist the temptation of a cave tasting! Winery located up on the hill with a great view of the valley. On of the few spots where you can purchase wine in a picnic area and enjoy. Tour was nice seat up, start with the easy Rose and another white before heading into the caves. The Cuvee 5 and the Estate Cab were fantastic.
google avatar

Sandy H.

Yelp
We had a wonderful, educational experience with our wine expert, Karen! We were celebrating a 60th birthday and she was very social but taught us about the wine and region. It was a very enjoyable experience! We went to 8 wineries in two days and she was the best! Thanks Karen!
google avatar

Marine T.

Yelp
Don't get trapped by their membership. If you are unlucky to get a membership, please do know that it can not be canceled. Even if you called them or emailed them to cancel and they pretend to accept it, you will still get charged your credit card and received unexpected wines. We are so worry about our a lot of wines from this company which are more expensive than market price and it is obviously not the ones we planned to get. If you have time, you can stop by and have a taste, but be very carefully with their membership offers. It's definitely a trap to our family.

Nandi H.

Yelp
My mom and I visited Rutherford Hill Winery for a tasting and we had a phenomenal experience. Laurie was our tasting guide and she was so kind and knowledgable. We visited on a rainy day it was still beautiful. We will be visiting again. Thank you Laurie :)

Joe M.

Yelp
Billie did not even acknowledge us when we entered the building. Repeatedly walked by us and did not even say hi or even look at us. He acted like we were invisible. He did help others who walked in. I can only guess why. We looked "different" than the rest of the patrons but were dressed well, are both physicians and speak well. Thankfully Karen helped us and was very nice.
google avatar

N P.

Yelp
Made a reservation for a tasting when we arrived had no phone service to prove what we made a reservation for and they told us we only reserved a $60 picnic table and our obligation was to now purchase a bottle of substandard wine so disappointing!!!Pleasant staff but def NOT a must do with so many fabulous wineries in Napa! Wine is also a NO!
google avatar

Dora V.

Yelp
The pictures on the site looks beautiful, but aside from the grounds and the building, the service and wines were underwhelming. We came from an amazing winery before this that did set the bar high, but Rutherford did not come close. We were hastily sat down on the picnic table and the lady started pouring into all the glasses without introducing each wine or giving us any kind of information about it. We had to ask her, and she did not seem knowledgeable. Because of the restrictions, our husbands sat in another area across from us. They ordered a charcuterie and the cheese had mold. They brought it to her attention and she just was acting in awe saying she did not know why...... then she came back with another man and they said it was "due to the fruit"..... but there's still mold- Make it right! They still charged. We didn't enjoy the wines either. I normally like cabs but did not like any of them. The Chardonnay and Rosè were good, but based on the other wines, the service, and the molded cheese, I would not come back, and do not recommend. Not worth $60/pp for sure!

Yelp
This is our second stop after Napa Cellars, we choose this winery because it's closer along the ST Helena. This is a huge winery place. And I been here before during Fall 2013. This is really scenic place. We have 2 The Classics that cost $25. The counter was little busy but still we got served well by Jimmie. He provided an excellent service to us. We had 2015 Sauvignon Blanc, 2014 Chardonnay, 2013 Sangiovese, 2013 Merlot, and 2013 Carbernet Sauvignon (The Classics list). We're totally satisfied with white wine, rose wine and red wine. They all taste so light and smooth when drinking. The wine quality is really good with nice scent! What got us surprised was that he gave us try out the Episode, OMG, it's so unforgettable wine! We're glad served by him. After we finished enjoying ourselves, we bought one bottle of 2014 Chardonnay and we also entitled 10% discount by showing him a small card that we got from Welcome Center. I totally recommended this place to anyone. And I will bring my mom back here in the future.

Vera L.

Yelp
Rutherford Hill is still our favorite winery to visit in the Napa area! From the amazing wine, the amazing views, and the friendly staff, this place is so awesome and never fails to dissappoint! I came to visit here twice last week taking full advantage of my wine club membership. On the second visit here, we were greeted by our server Cam and he provided the most excellent customer service I have received here to date! He even gave us some information about our membership benefits that we were unaware of: with our wine club membership, we get two free tastings at their sister winery, Chimney Rock. In the years we have been members here, we had no idea that we could visit and taste there free of charge as well! For the first time, we ordered their cheese plate to pair with our tasting and it totally amplified our wine tasting experience! I would highly recommend getting it to complement your tasting because it was delicious. We also finally took home a bottle of the Episode which we had been dying to add to our collection! Overall, if you like great wine, a great view, and great customer service, come to Rutherford Hill! You will not regret it! And special special thanks to Cam for the great experience!

Yelp
Very good value wine. I thought each wine was worth what it cost. You do your tasting at a bar that is surrounded by a bit of a gift shop. The people who poured were friendly and they have patio seating too.

Yelp
Loved touring this winery. Shout out to Karen for making our time so wonderful and educating us novice wine drinkers. Thank you for answering all of our questions. Got to taste some amazing wine. It was so great touring the caves. It was like visiting the shire/mines of Moria. Love you Karen! Would go again! Everyone should visit.

Victoria G.

Yelp
We booked a private reception style tasting for our corporate event. Debbie was incredibly helpful during the booking process, ensuring that they crafted an experience that everyone in our team would enjoy - they even had non-alcoholic options for the non-wine drinkers. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Logan, their Hospitality Manager, and then escorted to two private cabanas where our wine glass and tasting menu were there to greet us. Logan walked us through five wines which were wonderful. He provided such great information behind each variety, the region it was from, and the profile of the wine. Given how beautiful Rutherford Hill Winery is - sitting atop a hill where you can look down and see the Rutherford region - we wanted to explore the grounds a bit. Logan was kind enough to move our tasting to various parts of the property so we could see the beautiful venue, look out at the valley below, and enjoy their wonderful wine! I highly recommend Rutherford Hill Winery for either a group or personal event. The view and wine are worth it!
google avatar

Madeleine D.

Yelp
Beautiful winery filled with outdoor games, picnic tables, lounge area and beautiful scenery. This vineyard reminded me of a wine country version of a hipster brewery. They do not have industry tastings on the weekends, but you can buy a bottle of wine and hang out while you drink it!
google avatar

Nidhi P.

Yelp
This place is beautiful! Highly recommend this winery. The view from the picnic area is surreal! We had pre bought some sandwiches which we enjoyed with the bottles we bought. We had 5 people total in our party. We got 3 tastings and we bought 4 bottles. The wine here is amazing. The staff is extremely friendly. We loved Ryan's company as we went on with our tasting. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We got to this winery a little late on a Sunday and didn't have time for a tour. Actually we stopped by this winery to pick up a bottle of Port wine for a coworker who wanted it. I haven't tried it so don't know how good it is but she raves about it. Many of the wines are rated with high points and other awards. We ended up buying a bottle of this Cabernet chocolate sauce that is used to drizzle on ice cream or other desserts. The next night after a jazz concert at Yoshi's in Jack London Square we bought some vanilla ice cream and brownies. At home we made a fantastic dessert with the brownies and ice cream on top with a drizzle of that wine chocolate sauce from Rutherford Hill. Oh man was that delish! That bottle wasn't that cheap as I think it was around $20 or so. You can taste the wine in the chocolate in a good way. Next time I'll be sure to take a tour and know more about the wines here. Stay tuned.

Yelp
If you want a picnic spot with a beautiful view DON'T go here. What used to be a sweet spot that you could bring a casual picnic to after you purchased some wine from Rutherford is a thing of the past. Not only do you need a reservation, it costs $30 a person just to sit at a picnic table plus you have to purchase their wine. We were there on a Friday- one table as being used with no one else around. I can understand purchasing their wine, which we intended to do, but $30 just to sit at a picnic table?
