Ruth's at Treat Street Cocktails

That bar is not good. The workers and people going there seem like low-life people. The bathroom I would not sit on that toilet. The outside of that bar looks awful. They really need to update everything inside and out. They never sweep the sidewalks and when walking by it smells of urine. They make no effort to make this neighborhood look better. They really should shut down this Ruth's Bar.

Alyssa is the best bar tender! She made my birthday experience amazing! 10/10 would recommend.

My boyfriend and I had dinner nearby and decided to stop in for a quick beer, the place had a few patrons but was definitely not crowded. We weren't gonna stay long so we decided to just head to the end of the bar without taking a seat. It worked out because the bartender was already hanging around that part of the bar. We knew her from the sister bar (Clooneys). We ordered our drinks and she walked away...to chat with other patrons sitting at the bar(with full drinks). We decided to sit at a booth while we waited which wouldn't be long we thought. We waited about 10 min, meanwhile shes not serving anyone. Then some other people walk in and she immediately serves them! We kept trying to get her attention to maybe remind her of our drinks?? but that wasn't working. Finally I walked over to the bar and looked directly at her in order to make eye contact and she clearly saw me and still did nothing. At this point I had gotten the memo and was over her. We decided to leave after sitting around for nothing for 15mins. Not sure if they only want a certain crowd as costumers but they definitely lost these two. Will not be going back. Also, people are smoking literally at the door which isn't very enjoyable for a non smoker especially if the non smoker isnt drinking.

I used to like it here I've lived in the area for very many years. My father is half Spanish and I speak Spanish they don't know that at the bar I promise you they don't like non-Hispanics there. I like the place once but now I won't go back.

We heard so many good things about out this place we had to visit from Almaty. Alyssa is the best bartender!!

Fantastic clean fun environment. Great selection of drinks. Pool table and darts. Ami jukebox. Bike parking. This place has it all back up by the best staff you can have.

I tried Ruth's and wasn't impressed by the hospitality (similar to CL review, but I experienced it from all bar tenders) or the beer selection (basic), plus the beer tasted like the taps hadn't been cleaned in a while. It's a dive bar by nature, but the options were limited still. Furthermore, observing from the inside out how the establishment treats the neighborhood was a negative experience. Obviously motorcycle culture and such is key to the Mission's vibe, but it is more about the loitering and loud behavior outside of the front door, with customers blatantly intimidating passersby (including grandmothers!) and just leaving trash and litter was gross. I personally did not get the sense that Ruth's sees itself as a neighborhood bar that cares about the folks who live in its vicinity.

Service was great! Funny and very attentive bartender Alyssa helped me. Always remembers my drink order.

the women bartenders are friendly and welcoming, the males need an attitude adjustment. i guess if he doesn't recognize you you're ignored for as long as he feels like it. absolute worst. plus he puts his palm and fingers on the glass rims. i should've left right then. typical dive. local sports crowd.

An RBG themed bar seems like a bit much but besides the pretty amazing sign out front, it's just a solid dive bar and is probably indistinguishable from the Blind Cat bar that was there before. Which is not a bad thing! Old school dive bars are great. Prices are standard, you can watch the niners game. No complaints.

W bar. Definitely coming back here. Good place to hang with friends and chillax. Overall a good place.

Came here a month ago with my husband and opened a tab with our credit card. (They require a $20 min for all cards btw). The service was so slow and awful when there were maybe 5 people total in the entire place. We paid our tab and left then realized almost immediately that when we signed the bill, we forgot to grab our credit card. It was raining so we decided we could get it the following day. The next day we noticed there were multiple charges on the card equaling up to $300(gas, Walgreens and Rite aid). Not sure if it was the bartender or other staff who stole my card but this has been such a mess to deal with. I called Ruth's right away and the owner said she would look into it but never heard back. It has been almost a month and still not sure what to do.

Stopped in for a quick margy before heading to the Red Poppy House for the Ragamenco show. $10 House margy was good - not 2sweet..not 2tangy - just right+++ Good music, good vibes, hi 5 on my fellow patrons..grown folks only. Lose an afternoon here with Sonya pouring!

I love how they cleaned it up from the Blind Cat days. Not getting hit with the smell of sewage when you walk in makes a huge difference. It's now a fairly clean neighborhood bar with really good prices. Went there for a niners game and the bar had pizza for everyone. Been served by Sonia, William and Kim they were all great!

great neighborhood local bar - multiple TV screens, pool, good music and strong drinks. Lots of different beers on draft, and love the RBG theme. Friendly bartender (Sonia) and another nice local bought a round of beers with these cool custom poker chips. neighbor-owned so happy to support this crew!

There's a bartender there named Jojo who is horrible. I'm a heterosexual male. She accused me of "flirting with her man" bc I bought a drink for a guy I was shooting pool with who happened to be her husband. Shrugged it off... Came back two weeks later.... Same animosity for no reason. This time, she's upset because I paid for my $20 tab with $40. My intentions were to tip her gracefully. But when waiting for my change I got yelled at and told to gtfo because I'm a "difficult person" simply because one of her good friends, who I spent the entire evening talking to, stood up for me for the previous incident and told her I'm a good guy and she didn't wanna hear it. I've only been to this bar twice. Both experiences were horrible. Same "bartender" though. What a surprise??

Ruth's is a great local establishment where everyone feels at home, and the drinks are reasonably priced! Not sure why that one reviewer had issues with the staff -- I had nothing but kindly service from the whole team there. See you there!

Good dark neighborhood corner bar. Friendly service. Pool table. Four booths. Three big TVs. Dog friendly.

Needed to look for a bar where I could catch the 49ers vs Raiders game. Being New Year day, I didnt wanna wander too far and stumble onto Ruth's. Will was tending and was great at service and mixing up dranks. Highly recommend this joint

Do not go to this place. They steal your card and money. Went there a week ago. They claimed to have "lost" my card. I was quick to shut it down online. Somehow got charged $84 for 2 drinks on my "lost" credit card. Then given that they "lost" my credit card, I gave them my debit and got charged the correct amount of $43. I have yet to make another purchase since, but it clearly states on my credit card, that Ruth's was the last place to charge it with $84 and I used the date to see if my debit got charged as well and sure enough both were charged on the same day. So for 2 drinks it cost me $128. It's sad as an SF native I like supporting local bars but I can't support this one. I asked numerous times and my friend did as well. I went in with 3 cards, left with two. I knew the bartender was behaving shady because when we asked for her to check the bar again or to even try harder, she was quick to respond and ask if we had used it at another place? When we had used cash previously and my friend paid, which is why I was using my card for this round. Never open a tab here or avoid this place at all costs! The bartender seems cool too, but this behavior is purely unacceptable. Pops it is for me from now on down the street!

Nice neighborhood bar with friendly staff. Great for small groups as they have booths for small parties and several televisions with local sports playing.
