Ruth’s Chris closes for renovations at Harrah’s Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Debuting in 2013, Ruth’s Chris Steak House at Harrah’s Las Vegas replaced the second-floor, 13,280-square-foot former home of The Range Steakhouse, a space notable for floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a prime view of the Las Vegas Strip. I noted the steakhouse is temporarily closed through Aug. 28 for a remodel, with paperwork estimating a $727,501 construction budget for interior enhancements. The restaurant specializes in aged USDA Prime steaks broiled in a trademark 1,800-degree oven and served on a plate heated to 500 degrees to ensure the steak stays sizzling hot." - Bradley Martin

Ruth's Chris Steak House offers a classic, upscale dining experience with perfectly cooked, high-quality steak, chicken and salmon The ambiance is elegant and sophisticated, making it ideal for special occasions. Service is attentive and professional. The sides and desserts are also delightful, complementing the main course beautifully. I ordered the baked chicken, steak salad and garlic mashed potatoes. My companion ordered the salmon topped with shrimp. We both ended with a delicious cheesecake for dessert. For my cocktail, I ordered the blackberry sidecar. It was excellent.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse was phenomenal for my first time. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. I had a reservation and was seated almost immediately. Our server was absolutely amazing. He offered some of the best suggestions one would want at a steakhouse. I highly recommend the Sacramento location.

Truth be told, I thought I would feel awkward when I first walked in. Only because I had never been to a place that fancy before. When I tell you I felt so fancy and welcome. The service it was magnificent remarkable. When you try to find that word? But I can't find it, it was great. Let's keep it simple. The waiters and waitresses were so attentive. Even when I got my drink, late because I couldn't figure out the drink menu. And I don't drink alcohol like that, and I couldn't figure out the water, I got my drink after the appetizers. But it was a lesser word when you go to a fancy place soft drinks are not served. But they had juice for the baby it was super cute. I should've just ordered what the baby had as a drink but being the adult. I didn't want to feel embarrassed, I just picked whatever alcohol cocktail they had. Also, it was so pretty inside with the dim lighting and little lights on the tables in the decor. Oh, I love the decor it was modern. When everyone was leaving, they did not rush us to leave as they began to clean. I don't think they were closing, though, because people were entering, but it was quite late. I do love their professional attire. It's so classic, black, and white, with their attitudes with very professional. Everybody has smiles when they're faces. You don't see no attitude. I will definitely go again. Most likely, I'll go alone because of on the side. They had a little bar nook with a couple of tables there. And you can feel comfortable being there by yourself, which I love. Also, my lamb chops were delicious. Never had it before. It was just words that I recognized. So I figured it would be good, and it was. It is pricey, but not by a lot of $$. I just pay for my, self, but if you go as a couple or a party, it's gone, come out the pocket.$$$$. But I do highly recommend everybody. Just try it 1 time even if you gotta go by yourself. Save up the coins because the food there was delicious.

I've never been to Ruths Chris, but Erika, Diane, Terrell, and Michael made a return visit inevitable. The service team went above and beyond to make it a great experience. My steak was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were buttery. My wife enjoyed her salmon and brussel sprouts. It's so hard to find a nice place to eat without being dissapointed, but Ruths Chris is one of them.

From walking in to the restaurant until leaving, our experience was the absolute best! We came in to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary and have never been here before. The food was all delicious and Elliott was an amazing server! Very personable and made the experience even better! All of the staff was very attentive and gave us five star service. We will definitely be back!

Today was special, I got to experience this restaurant with my lovely Wife. This was our very first time. We were celebrating Life. Being fortunate enough to be able to enjoy a place like this for no specific reason. Our server Was absolutely a real joy to be with. Her level of hospitality and expertise was remarkable. She probably didn’t need a menu to describe all items. Diana was just awesome!!! The food was great!! Atmosphere was quiet when we arrived and a bit louder as we left but that’s ok. It’s a very nice place to enjoy special occasions……

Went here for a birthday dinner. It was our first time here we had heard good things about the food here. Made reservations online which was very easy dinner was a little late because it was a Saturday and that was understandable. 830 dinner reservations. we arrived 10 min early and waited 10 min after our arrival time. Once seated we were quickly helped and easily ordered. New York Steaks were overdone and to be completely honest I can cook a better steak. I have gotten pretty good at it lately but, it was nice to have someone else do it for my birthday. Sides were very good but on the small side potatoes au gratin and asparagus. we took the cheese cake to go. The price was not too expensive for a nice steak dinner out. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
My husband and I usually end up sitting at the bar for a quick meal since we're always short on time. The last few times, we placed to go orders online and paid through Apple Pay. When we arrived to pick up the food, they still asked to see the physical card and an ID for security reasons. The challenge is that with Apple Pay you never actually use or carry the physical card, so it makes the whole process a bit inconvenient. It would be great if they updated their verification process for mobile payments so guests aren't digging through accounts or explaining why they don't have a card they didn't use. It feels like a lot of extra steps just to pick up two steak sandwiches. Overall, we're still fans of Ruth's Chris and will definitely continue coming back. A small update to the to go payment process would make the experience even smoother.

Yelp
It's bee while since I have been here. They are always pretty good before. We came here for one of my Daughter's Birthdays. I mad reservations. We arrived and were seated right away. The place was more or less empty. I think there were two tables with customers. They put us all the way in the back of the dining room at a round table since there were five of us. They brought us water and the server introduced herself and took our drink orders. She came back and we all gave our orders and then she left. It was sometime before she returned and I was out of water and my iced tea. I had to ask one of the guy who brought my daughters soup to get another one. The server came back with both the water and tea and left us a pitcher of water so we wouldn't runout. Our food came and the steaks were sizzling as always. The ribeye was much better tasting than my T-bone. I still enjoyed it. The French onion soup had a large crouton in the middle of it. My daughter wished there was more onions in it. They brought out a Birthday dessert for my daughter which was really nice. All was just ok . Not the usual as like I remember . Still good but I think the quality had gone down a little. Nothing really special.

Yelp
Ruth's Chris Steak House delivers pure elegance and power from the moment you walk in. Every detail feels intentional--the golden lighting, the low hum of jazz, and that unmistakable sizzle from a 500-degree plate. Knowing the story behind it--that Ruth Fertel, a single mom, mortgaged her home in 1965 to buy a small New Orleans steakhouse--makes each bite feel like part of a legacy built on courage and perfection. The filet arrives seared to its edge and melts like butter, while the lobster mac and cheese and creamed spinach bring a comforting richness that never feels heavy. The service moves with quiet confidence, attentive without hovering, and each course lands right on cue. You can sense a culture that still carries Ruth's original hospitality--warm, proud, and precise. This isn't just dinner; it's a master class in timeless dining. The kind of place you celebrate milestones, sip a perfect Old Fashioned, and remember that some traditions are worth savoring forever.

Yelp
Im very conflicted with this review. Be patient I'm going to tell you why guy haha. First off great ambiance, classy, clean, gentle lighting inside inspiring a romantic setting, white cloth tables, the whole works. Great for date night with someone special or an anniversary. Way too expensive for a first date unless you got it like that haha. I personally would only want to spend these high prices on someone I truly care about. Ok so I'm conflicted because the prices are crazy high. $46 just for three small lamb chops, nothing else. You heard me, nothing else. No salad, no side, no nothing. Im sorry but to me that's crazy expensive. You can order family style sides made to share or salad but everything is extra and in my opinion crazy expensive for what you get. Now I'm conflicted because I think it's way way way over priced but it was the best most succulent moist lamb chops I've ever had in my life. So that's why I'm conflicted, so that's why I gave it 4 stars. The bread was excellent and I love bread. We was never offered more I dont know if they give you more than one. Pro tip: make reservation because they hardly accept walk ins. They have a bar area I believe you can walk in and seat yourself incase you didnt make reservations.

Yelp
Hubby took me here for my birthday meal. We had a reservation but due to the ongoing construction on Hwy 50 we were late but only had to wait another 10 minutes which was nice for a busy Saturday. Ruth Chris here at the Pavilions has a nice upscale vibe, good music, good service. For the price I do feel like the food was not the best I've had and definitely not as good as the last time I had Ruth Chris but that was in Vegas. I'm a bit of a filet mignon expert since it's been my fav since I was 8 years old. That being said the filet and mushrooms were about 3.5/4 star meaning okay but not the best filet I've had lacking flavor and tenderness. I make a better one at home. The mash potatoes and lobster Mac were a bit disappointing too and lacking flavor as well. The mash potatoes actually didn't seem like homemade. I enjoyed the service and ambiance but the food here needs some improvement. Also, the water had some weird nasty aftertaste like it was from the tap. I did really enjoy the bread pudding and Brussel sprouts. Would I go back? Probably not. That's how I gauge if it was good. All in all I loved the atmosphere and service but the quality of the food seems to have gone down since my last Ruth Chris visit.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and did the 3 course for $55. This is my first time eating Ruth's Chris and I was very impressed. Our waiter Brandon was great! And Julius is great also. I was impressed with my Cesar salad, steak, sides, dessert, and bread! Our steak had good flavor and cooked well. The only item I didn't enjoy was the crab cakes. I felt like it was missing a sauce or something. They put rose petals on our table, that was a nice touch. And they let us know that they appreciate us celebrating our anniversary with them.

Joanne Z.

Yelp
Food always very good. Service pretty good. (It's basically a cafeteria.) Ambiance...could be better given that the lighting needs some re-work, both too bright and too dim (downtown Sac). I had a gift certificate which we tried to use. They said it didn't have the right ID codes from the person who gave it to us. So instead of paying $200 for a party of 4, I paid $400. Not really happy about that. Left a meager tip as a result. Ruth Chris should keep a better record of its gift cards. I wouldn't have gone there had I known the gift card wouldn't work.

Yelp
Food was great, the filets we ordered were very juicy, drinks were good, the desserts were amazing and our server was attentive, I think her name was Cindy. They should place to go bags on the table and not behind our heads, we did forget to grab it, but I'll say that's on us for forgetting to grab them. Now the reason why I gave three stars. First of all it started rocky when the brunette hostess at the front desk with braces called my name wrong (George) and I corrected her by saying "It's Jorge". That's all I said to her and she just gave me a nasty look, like as if I had just insulted her. Idk what her problem is but from reading the other reviews, some of the hostess have attitude problems. The second big issue was that the person who brought our filet plates over did not inform us that the plates were extremely hot, I'm not sure if they have the plates in the oven before placing the filets on top. I burned my finger and after this happened, they casually say, "oh, use a napkin. The plates are very hot". Too late for that. End of the night we exited and none of the 3-4 hostess say "have a good night, thank you for coming". Instead I get a dirty look from the same brunette with braces as we pass by, as if I did her very wrong. I cannot be making this up, its wild.

Yelp
My wife and I came here to celebrate our 4th anniversary. I had little expectations but started off surprised with rose petals on our table for our anniversary dinner. Nice touch and made us feel good about our choice for dinner. Brandon took care of us (not me lol), he was how I always feel someone in this industry should be. Friendly , helpful and made us feel welcomed and happy. I haven't had a Shirley temple in a decade, but he made a pretty damn good one, thanks Brandon lol. All of the other servers were great as well and friendly when helping us with food. Julius helped us pack out leftovers and took our plates away but a smile and a happy demeanor goes a long way so we appreciate his help as well. This is a great crew, it's been a really long time that we had an experience that wasn't just putting food in our bellies.

Yelp
We came to Ruth's Chris to celebrate a special life milestone and decided to sit in the lounge for happy hour. Even though it was absolutely packed, our server was so kind and incredibly attentive. I wish I remembered her name because she truly made the experience feel celebratory. We ordered the zucchini fries, seared ahi tuna, chicken sandwich, and the steak sandwich. Honestly? Not a single miss. The ahi tuna stood out the most with its perfectly seasoned crust and that punchy mustard sauce. It was balanced, flavorful, and beautifully done. And I have to admit, I'm someone who doesn't like steak... like, ever. But I tried a bite of my partner's steak sandwich and it may have changed my mind. Tender, juicy, and layered with flavor. One small disappointment was the Old Fashioned. As any Old Fashioned lover will tell you: cubed ice and two cocktail straws just aren't it. That said, they totally redeemed themselves with the blackberry sidecar. It was bright, smooth, and a delicious surprise I'd absolutely order again. Would come back in a heartbeat. Especially for that tuna and the cozy, lively lounge vibe. But highly recommend coming at the beginning of happy hour as it does get pretty packed!

Yelp
Came here for the second time giving it another try....and it was a fail --- food part. The service was great of course. However, food was not so great. Everything was served in a small plate. I've fine done before, but this...what the! Starters were french onion soup -- (salty) & steak house salad-- drench in vinaigrette dressing and sooo sour. Was not able to finish it. The Brussels Sprouts were also salty. The steak we had was alright. Only thing i enjoyed was the shrimp cocktail. For what people spend here...it need to do better! Everyone has their own opinion and taste bud on food. That day was just not it for me. And definitely will never return!

Yelp
We went on Mother's Day, so understandably, it was busy--but the wait time between being seated, ordering, getting drinks and salad, and then finally our entrées was definitely long. We were there for nearly 2.5 hours for just two people. We did notice a few large parties ahead of us, and once they were served and left, the pace picked up and food started coming out much quicker. Now, on to the food--worth the wait! The lamb chops were amazing, and my mom absolutely loved her filet. She's super picky about how her steak is cooked, and it was done perfectly. We shared a baked potato, which they thoughtfully cut before serving--it was delicious! We also split the chopped salad to start, and it was the perfect way to kick off the meal. Our main waitress was nice, but the standout was her support waiter--he was fantastic. He made sure our water and bread were always full, had a great attitude, and was genuinely friendly the entire time. All in all, despite the long wait, we had a great meal and really appreciated the service. Would definitely come back on a less busy night!

Yelp
Overall? This was a great experience from start to finish. The evening felt cohesive with quality food, attentive service, and an ambiance that leaned upscale yet minimalist, with clean edges and low lighting. Compared to Morton's, the food quality edged higher and the overall experience was more seamless without the hassle of downtown parking or valet. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and while not every dish was a showstopper, the execution was consistently strong with no missteps Parking? Lot We had: Ruth's Chopped Salad (4/5): Presented as a striking tower, layered with smoky bacon, egg, briny olives, hearts of palm, earthy mushrooms, bleu cheese crumbles, and crisp house-made croutons all pulled together by a creamy lemon basil dressing. Crispy onions finished it off with texture. Balanced and flavorful, though it leaned more toward a polished classic than a true standout Cowboy Ribeye (4.5/5): A solid cut, juicy, well marbled, and cooked with precision. The richness was exactly what you'd expect, with enough char to satisfy. A very good steak, though it didn't quite cross into unforgettable territory. Not the best I've had, but definitely a quality piece worth ordering Creamed Spinach (5/5): Rich, velvety, and perfectly seasoned, letting the spinach shine through the cream. Comforting yet refined, it delivered exactly what you want from a classic side, elevated just enough to stand out

Yelp
My party enjoyed the crab stuffed mushrooms, butter shrimp, artichoke and sun-dried tomatoes dip as appetizers. We had the stuffed chicken, and petite filets with truffle crust and lobster macaroni and cheese, Brussels sprouts, au gratin potatoes accoutrements. Bottle of DAUO Cab Sauvignon, a classic old fashion, and an espresso martini. Everything was absolutely delicious and prepared with perfection. Our server, Brandon, was a delight and made us feel at home on Thanksgiving Day! The dining room is warm and inviting with a dim light ambiance.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of visiting Chris Ruth for our Anniversary this year. After so many years away, the Steaks & Service are still top notch. We had a few different appetizers & main dishes were a delicious Tomahawk Ribeye & a Filet mignon cooked to medium rare perfection. Appetizers were Mac cheese, Cremini mushrooms, roasted brussells sprouts, baked potatoes, and seared Ahi Tuna. We had a couple drinks to wash the goodness down. Both the Food & Service were exceptional! Can't wait to come back soon!

Yelp
It must've been a busy night because the parking was pretty full. Once we entered, we checked in and they required at least 80% of our party to be there before we were Sat. Once seated, we were greeted by two servers who introduced themselves and let us know to be cautious with the " hot plates". We ordered several appetizers for the table, including the crabcakes, spicy shrimp, and calamari. I highly recommend ordering the calamari and the spicy shrimp. They brought a complementary bread which was so fresh and warm and addicting with the butter. If ordering wine, I recommend ordering the 9 ounce pour because it'll last you throughout dinner. I tried the espresso martini, and it was a perfect balance between the liquor and the espresso. I ordered the ribeye, medium well. I was expecting it to have a little more juicy fat in it but had good flavor. It was a good sized cut of meat. I added a lobster to it, which I thought was a bit too salty. I will say the sides are really good. I highly recommend the mushrooms, mac & cheese, and potatoes. I've had the cream spinach, but I didn't get to taste at this time. The brussels sprouts were pretty good. I tried the yams and they were super creamy and sweet, which were better than expected. For dessert, I had the crème brûlée and it's the best. The bread pudding was super soft and sweet. Everyone loved it. The service was great. The servers were attentive and checked on us frequently. Overall, a great experience, it was just the main entree that could have been better.

Yelp
WHY WE WENT HERE: - redeemed our birthday gift card for a celebration dinner with the fiancé THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located in Pavilions Shopping Center off Pavilions Ln and Fair Oaks Blvd - parking may be a walk depending on where you find a spot, especially during dinner time on the weekend THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - there's definitely a separation of dining; main dining area, seating by the bar, or a semi private quieter room off the bar THE MENU: - appetizers - soups & salads - steaks & chops - seafood & specialties - signature dishes - desserts - Ruth's classics - sip & sizzle - burgers & sandwiches - childrens - cocktails - wines by the glass - wines by the bottle - happy hour WHAT WE ORDERED: - blackberry sidecar - blueberry mojito - New York strip - ribeye - baked potato - cremini mushrooms - roasted brussels sprouts - sweet potato casserole THE TASTE: - blackberry sidecar: sweet drinks are what the fiancé likes, and because he enjoyed this so much he ordered a second one - blueberry mojito: disappointing; nothing like the photos; very watered down and too minty - New York strip: OK; could season and cook better at home; not as tender - ribeye: OK; could season and cook better at home: not as tender - baked potato: very big potato; standard - cremini mushrooms: cooked but didn't taste seasoned - roasted brussels sprouts: solid - sweet potato casserole: my favorite! our server told us that some people actually order this as a dessert and just request a scoop of vanilla ice cream to pair with it CUSTOMER SERVICE: - easily booked a reservation via OpenTable - received email and text confirmation and reminders about the reservation - upon entering the establishment we were greeted and seated immediately - our server (forgot her name) was attentive but not overbearing - gift card was sent via email and presented to our server upon check-out

Yelp
Came and had brunch with my fiance on Father's Day. The service was great. The food was delicious. They made the steaks medium rare although we asked for medium, but it was still good. The music was also great. I danced in my seat the entire time I ate. Will be back.

Yelp
Classic steakhouse experience with reliably good cuts and professional service, but lacks the "wow" factor for the premium price. The atmosphere is dated and the sides are underwhelming. Solid, but not exceptional.

Yelp
If you're looking to enjoy a great happy hour, Ruth's Chris is definitely worth checking out. The fries and drinks are good, great flavor and presentation. The shrimp is good, though I do think it could be a little more reasonably priced for happy hour. Dinner time is when I enjoy it most. My favorite picks are the Brussels sprouts and a few of the sides & lobster Mac is so good flavorful and satisfying every time. Overall, it's a great way to enjoy a premium experience without the full dinner price. One of my favorite spots to wind down after a long day!

Yelp
Stopped by for happy hour ~ I had not been here in a while ~ was pleasantly reminded how much I enjoy this place! The ambiance is elegant and chic but yet relaxed...what more could you ask for?! Happy hour is from 4-6pm~ we arrived shortly after 4pm on a Friday ~ there was no seating at the bar which we had hoped for. This did NOT affect our experience-just important to note as the bar gets busy early. We quickly found table seating within the bar area with zero wait time. Our server gave us a great recommendations, and both the ahi tuna and shrimp appetizers were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The pomegranate martini was an absolute standout--refreshing, perfectly mixed, and a must-try. Highly recommend for great apps, excellent cocktails, and a welcoming vibe. Will definitely be returning! Go early! *parking may be annoying ~ uber recommended

Yelp
Arrived for family gathering 1. Server had great customer service 2. The ambiance was clean and quaint. 3. We waited close to an hour to receive food. 4. The food I ordered.... *Grilled stuffed chicken *Sautéed mushrooms (separate side) * Food was too salty and mushrooms were preheated at best were warm when served *Price minus tip & no drinks = $66 If you want to spend money for poor quality food and long service wait time on a weekday when it's almost empty when you arrive...this is the right place to go. The best part of the meal was the free bread and butter! I do NOT recommend if you value your dollar!

Yelp
My Beautiful Bride and I were welcomed with a warm "happy anniversary". The red rose petals on the white tablecloth communicated the same message. Our server Kim was attentive without being bothersome. Our other attendant Julius was discrete and personable. My bride and I shared an entree (11-ounce filet with blackened scallops), which was divided almost evenly onto two plates at no additional cost. Our two sides, the sauteed mushrooms and the sweet potato casserole, were perfect complements to the entree. The beer selection was limited, but they had Guinness, the King of beers, so I have nothing to complain about there. For dessert, my bride enjoyed the chocolate sin cake, and I appreciated the delicious not-too-hot bread pudding. We had just a couple minor complaints We would have preferred a booth over a table with chairs. After a chunk of time in the chair, my back became quite sore. And the tables were so close together, we inadvertently heard every word from a nearby table conversation. In all, Ruth's Chris provided a delightful dinner celebration for our first 36 years of marriage.

Yelp
This is my second time coming to this location, so why not celebrate my son's 20th Birthday. The service, food, and overall environment was fantastic!

Yelp
Such a great steak house! It is kind of unassuming on the outside, but inside is beautiful and very nice. The staff and service is literally top notch, some of the best we have ever had! And they were super kind and accommodating to our 13 month old. I would say that even though it is "fancy" it is definitely family friendly. My husband said the steak is easy top 3 he has ever had in his entire life.

Yelp
This is a very good dinner. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. They have other options, but why would you not get the steak. I've had ribeye and the filet, both excellent. Good wine list too and a full bar.

Yelp
I hd high hopes for this experience. It was mother's day so i knew it would be busy but 2 tables that cane after me got their food first and thats not the issue. I ended up switching from for here to go. And for some reason some untrained felt the need to put very low quality margarine on my $66 filet mignon which ruined it and its flavor in totality. Update. They provided a refund for the steak but the manager was a tad rude during that provision. It also took a few days and multiple interactions.

Yelp
It was a spur the moment decision to dine here on a Sunday evening just because. I made a reservation online an hour before. Our dinner experience was fabulous. The service from Jordan was teriffic. He was friendly, welcoming, smiling, and attentive. I wish all servers were like him. He also asked us if we were celebrating anything special. I feel like a lot of restaurants nowadays don't even read the notes one puts in a reservation, let alone ask you at the start of dinner if you're celebrating anything, so this was so appreciated of him to ask us :) Hubby's go-to drink is an old fashioned. The bar made it w/a lot of ice chips (not sure why?), which waters down the drink. For a spirit-forward drink like this, traditionally it's made with a large single cube or an ice sphere. I asked Jordan about it and he was more than happy to correct it and brought hubby's drink back with a large cube. :) He checked on us throughout dinner just the right amount of times, friendly each time! and also brought us more bread without us asking for it. which was delicious. He anticipated it :) We both got their set meal: a starter, I picked ribeye & shrimp, and dessert. My caesar salad was delicious! I've dined here numerous times over the years and I can't believe I never tried their caesar salad before. SO Yummy!! I could eat a whole bowl of it. steak was seasoned very well. Shrimp were good too. We also got the lobster mac n cheese. I think it could've used maybe a bit more seasoning or flavor in the mac, and maybe a little more cheese sauce to fully coat the mac. We had leftovers and enjoyed them the next day. The dessert was a cheesecake. Overall a fabulous dinner, with excellent service from Jordan!

Had a great experience. Went on a Monday night for dinner and the food was amazing. First time having the sea bass and it a 10/10. New favorite item on the menu. The service was excellent and the food came out hot and fast. The restaurant is lightly dimmed and great for a date night.

Yelp
We decided to celebrate our 44th anniversary at Ruth's Chris. We were greeted by our server, Diana, with "Happy Anniversary!" Service was exceptional. Diana was attentive, friendly and polite. We ordered the $55 three course special. My 6 oz fillet was cooked perfectly (medium well) and very tender. I have a shellfish allergy, and told our server, so the shrimp that is normally served on top of the fillet was cooked separately and served on a separate plate, so my wife could enjoy them. She ordered the salmon with shrimp and she said it was deliciously fresh and flavorful. The bread was also fresh, warm and delicious. The only item that I would change is my choice of creamed spinach as a side dish. It was too creamy for my taste and had the texture of spinach that had been previously frozen. Should have picked the mashed potatoes or roasted Brussel sprouts. Our desserts were served on plates with "Happy Anniversary" spelled out in chocolate. We will definitely return for other special occasions.

Yelp
We came back! Decided to give this place another go, hoping it was just a fluke the first time. Our service this time was not as great as the first. It took an HOUR from the time we were seated until we actually got our food. There was a long awkward period of time with an empty table, watching everyone who got to the restaurant after us, get their food before us. For the meal.... This time, I tried the fillet and the creamed spinach. Again, the meat has VERY minimal seasoning. The creamed spinach is very obviously made with frozen spinach. A switch to fresh spinach would literally change the entire dish for the better. The bread and butter were elite. That was literally the start of the night, sadly. Another thing to note is that my husband got the exact same steak as me and they were very differently sized in comparison, which is very strange to me. I wanted to hope that it was just a bad first impression last time but unfortunately it wasn't. It's just the restaurant.

Yelp
July is always special for me because I get to celebrate my birthday and my anniversary. This July is especially amazing because I'm pregnant with my first son! One thing I love is steak, but I usually don't go to steak restaurants because my husband isn't a big fan. However, my pregnancy cravings for steak have been strong, so we decided to check out Ruth's Chris. I'm so glad we did! The food was simply amazing, and the customer service was outstanding. Our experience started with Michael, who walked us to our table, and Terell, who brought us water. Then Brandon, our server, truly stole the show. I really loved his energy; it was just wonderful! The recommendations were spot on, and my food was simply amazing. We had so much to eat, but the standout dishes were the chicken and the sweet potato casserole. The crabcakes were also incredible! They even decorated the table nicely and made everything look cute and fancy to celebrate my birthday and anniversary. It meant a lot to me. Since I'm due to have my baby any day now, we will definitely come back once he arrives. I was so full that I had to take my cheesecake home; I didn't even have a chance to try it! Everything was delicious, and I can't wait to return to experience it again. Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with good food, beautiful ambience , and a lot of joy.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to come here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary Wed 9/24 around 4:30pm. I made the reservation online several days ahead of time and requested a booth in a secluded area so they sat us on the left side of the restaurant towards the back. The hostess laid down some rose petals on our table, then Andrea came over and took our drink order. I had a Sierra Nevada $10 in a bottle since they don't have any beer on tap. My hubby had a Goose IPA $10 which he enjoyed. We later decided to split my favorite Blueberry Mojito $17, which is getting extremely expensive considering most of it is ice. We both got a Ruth's Chop salad $18 which we always love. For main courses my husband got the Filet with stuffed Shrimp $87 and added the Blue Cheese crust $8. I had the Crab Stuffed Shrimp $51 I had never had this dish before, unfortunately the shrimp were over cooked making them a tough to cut and chew. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his filet. We also got 3 yummy sides: Sweet Potato Casserole $17, Garlic Mashed Potatoes $15, and the Roasted Brussel Sprouts $16 Andrea asked us if we wanted dessert, but we were too full, so they were nice enough to bring out a plate that said "Happy Anniversary" with a mini Cheesecake. The place was fairly empty but they ended up seating an older couple right behind us who also happened to be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. My husband & I decided to go ahead and "pay it forward" and told Andrea we would like to pay for their dinner too. I would have loved to have seen their faces when they found out, but we decided to just leave quietly instead. I did use the women's restroom and was rather shocked to find 1 stall was out of order, and the other 2 toilet seats were loose. They were also low on supplies, so I let the hostess know.

Yelp
Visited two times in one week.first time was in bar for happy hour. It was crowded. There were two couples having a lively discussion about politics (different viewpoints), so mix that with wine, and it got a little uncomfortable for me and my hubby (who was not a part of the convo). But food was decent and good happy hour prices. Server was real nice. Second time was in dining room. Food good, as expected. Had a great $55 deal, so you can't beat that. Bread was so bomb!! Service was nice! Dining room was not crowded or loud, but pretty dark.

Yelp
Came her on a date, loved it! Everyone was kind, helpful with the menu. First time coming to this specific chain, but it was a good experience. Our server was Diana and was pretty helpful. I loved the filet steak, was really good. Everyone was incredibly attentive while we were there. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

Yelp
After hearing wonderful things about this restaurant for years, my husband and I finally went to this location in Sacramento (pavilions lane) and it was so disappointing. I liked the lighting, it was a clean restaurant, and everyone we encountered was friendly, but that's where my compliments end due to the FOOD. I'm not sure if we came on an "off" night or our expectations were high because of all of the great reviews from our friends and family, but my chicken was VERY dry, his steak was rare (he ordered it medium or medium well- I can't remember but he was thinking it would have a slight-pink center and was grossed out by how red and bloody it was) and the sides we selected were not great. I did try to notify the restaurant but all they could offer us was a free appetizer with our next meal which honestly was not enough to make us want to come back and waste another $200.

Yelp
The lobster tail was amazingly delicious. It was prepared perfectly and paired nicely with the dipping sauce. My disappointment was with the filet. I asked for medium rare and received an over cooked steak. The outside of the steak was severely burnt, which made it not edible. I typically had better experiences at Ruth's Chris. I am skeptical in returning for a future visit.

Yelp
My husband took me here for Mother's Day. And so much went wrong. However, the manager did make it right. So that's good. And to start off on another positive note, the busser Corey was very good. He was polite, and always knew exactly when to refill our waters. He never came to soon or too late. I hope he works his way up to becoming a server. Anyway, the experience started off with us being sat directly under the air conditioner vent. It was blowing so hard that even the curtains behind me were moving. My husband asked the hostess if there was anything that can be done about it. She basically said no. It's too difficult to adjust the temperature and, because it is Mother's Day, they are too busy to move us. She showed no concern and was kinda rude about it. After about 20 minutes, I couldn't take it anymore. I was at the point where my nose started to run, I was sneezing, and my daughter had goosebumps. It was just way too much cold air blowing down directly onto our table. I decided to go to the hostess myself and let her know that we need to switch tables since they can't turn the air down.. And just to be clear, I am not the type that expects them to shut the whole air conditioner off and affect the entire restaurant just because MY ONE TABLE is cold. Asking them to turn it down was a request not a demand. But also in several different ways, we let the hostess know we were OK with going back to the bar area to wait for another table. Anyway, when I approached the hostess about moving tables, she was visibly annoyed, and with an attitude said the same thing to me that she said to my husband. Luckily, the manager overheard the conversation, before things got heated (because yes I was pissed at this point. The hostess acted as if I was bothering her. And I know for a fact she could have seated us somewhere else). The manager immediately apologized. She even saw where we were sitting and commented on how the curtains were blowing. She turned off the air conditioner WITH NO PROBLEM AT ALL!!!! And was very apologetic. Honestly, that apology and show of concern made a huge difference. Moving on: -Appetizer and salad didn't come out for over 40 minutes. Every time we mentioned it to the waitress, all she said was, "it will be out soon". And never seemed to care even when it had been way too long. An appetizer or salad should never take 40 minutes. -Never refilled our bread. With a party of 4, the bread was basically gone the second it touched the table haha! So there was an immediate opportunity to refill that. -Mac & cheese was dry, burnt, and soupy all at the same time... #HowSway (see the attached video). When we asked the waitress about it, she said that is how it always is. And when I said "it's supposed to be soupy like this?" she said "Yes. That is our cheese sauce". She was very adamant about that, to the point where she didn't even ask if we wanted something different. We've been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years, and never have we ever seen the mac & cheese look like that. -We ordered our son's steak medium, it came out rare. -The sweet potato casserole was on point though. So at least we enjoyed that. And so was my shrimp and salmon dinner. They did take some things off of our bill. And when we addressed issues with the manager, she was very receptive and apologetic about it. Unlike the waitress and the hostess who didn't seem to care. The manager sent us a gift card to come back. If we do, it will probably be at a different location. Although the manager was super awesome, it is the other staff that we typically have to deal with. And this one just gives me a bad vibe now.

Yelp
Not sure whether it was a weekday or not, but the restaurant service was very slow (Kim and Cindy were excellent, just spread thin) Although it wasn't anything special we celebrated dining with family this evening. We got raving comments on the NY steak strip and not so favorable with the filet mignon plates. The lobsters were just ok, wouldn't order it again. Although this is a very popular restaurant, consider local steakhouses. I didn't feel it was appropriate so photos were not taken.

Yelp
Ruth Chris is an amazing place. I've only been there for happy hour, but that itself is very good. I can only imagine sitting in the main dining area mowing going good food!

Yelp
Came in on February 14th. I had reservations at 8:30pm the place was PACKED. I knew it was going to be busy, so I made sure to have a snack before coming. We finally got seats at about 09:20pm almost an hour wait. I do understand reservations are a set time but on a super busy day it is not the restaurants fault, plus a lot of people finish eating and still stay at their table to enjoy the night. For an appetizer, I ordered the barbecued shrimp that consisted of shrimp sautéed in white wine, garlic butter & bbq spices. It took about 15 minutes to get here but man was it good! I had to order some extra bread to put the sauce on. The shrimp were so juicy and tasted very fresh. For the main course I got the Cowboy Ribeye with sides of lobster Mac ( what everyone comes for) and au gratin potatoes. The food took almost an hour to get here. I see why it's called the cowboy ribeye because it's huge! The ribeye was delicious and cooked to my liking. The lobster Mac was delicious as always. The only thing I didn't like much was the au gratin potatoes. There was so much oil sitting on top and they were a bit cold. Food was great and service was also great for it being one of the busiest days of the year. Thank you to all the staff for the hard work.
