Went on a Tuesday night for dinner. Staff was great! Very accommodating. Had the filet mignon 🥩 with shrimp 🦐 which was cooked to perfection. Side of cream spinach and cheesecake for dessert. Server had a great wine recommendation too.

My family and I visited Rudy Chris' restaurant for a late Miami Spice lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were five people: my wife, our three kids, and myself, and we ordered from the Miami Spice menu. I had the New York Strip, and unfortunately, it did not live up to its $60 price tag. The steak was disappointing, lacking the quality you'd expect for such a high cost. My wife’s steak was okay, nothing special, but at least it met basic expectations. However, my son’s salmon was overcooked, making it dry and not enjoyable for him. The overall experience left much to be desired. The ambiance was nice, and the service was fine, but the food didn’t justify the price, especially for a Miami Spice menu that we hoped would showcase the restaurant’s strengths. I’m not sure we’d return for a similar meal.

Came to have dinner for my boyfriend’s birthday. The small detail of having birthday confetti on the table was nice. Our waiter Marcos was amazing! He was very attentive and gave us great suggestions. 10 out of 10 experience!

I want to start off by saying I’ve been to many different Ruth’s Chris steakhouses in different places besides Coral Gables and I’ve never incurred this problem. I went with my family yesterday for Father’s Day and we ordered two New York strips. I ordered a petite fillet, we ordered mashed potatoes, corn, House salad and brussels sprouts… I literally wanted to send everything back. The New York strip steaks were more than 35% fat that had to be cut off and could not be eaten. My petite fillet had a good amount of fat on it that could not be eaten. The mashed potatoes were so dry and heavy. The corn was horrible. The house salad was even a disappointment, It came with no dressing and the brussels sprouts tasted like they had been soaked in pork fat for days, they were soggy, it was gross. My son couldn’t eat his steak and I didn’t want to be rude and return all of our food so I told him not to worry about it, we would take it home and we would put it in the air fryer, maybe it’ll come out better at home. When we got home we put it in the air fryer and this is what the steak turned into, it got this weird red color after putting it in the airfryer and the weird part was it actually looked like it was cooked and then went back to red. I will never, ever walk into this steakhouse again. I will never recommend this place. The staff there was amazing but for $342 I should’ve been able to enjoy my food. The quality of food here is not good, not good at all.

Great service, very attentive, good was amazing. Marcos was wonderful! It Was my birthday and the confetti on the table, was such a sweet touch. Also the little birthday cheesecake! We were very happy. We do miss the lobster bisque and hope it comes back but we had a lovely evening. Thank you all.

Marcos was the most amazing server I’ve ever had in my 23 years of existence. He treated us like family and made sure everything was to our standards. We were first timers but I just know he treats everyone the same. Marcos was extremely attentive and made the best recommendations that we of course listened to and I’m so glad we did. He made my boyfriend’s birthday dinner unforgettable and I can’t thank him enough.

It had been several years since I visited Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Coral Gables, and, boy, was it worth revisiting! From the pre-dinner cocktail and hot bread to the calamari appetizer and house salad with vinaigrette dressing to the ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes to creme Brule (my hubby had the bread pudding) and coffee, everything was to die for! All dishes were perfectly presented and the timing was impeccable. It was all delicious! We did not have to add any condiments to any dish. The jazz and blues playing in the background was at just the right volume, and the furnishings were classic steakhouse: dark wood paneling with complementary floral bouquets to lighten the dining room. Our table had a lovely but subtle sign wishing us a happy anniversary, and our tabletop was tastefully strewn with real - yes real - rose petals! Our food server, Marcos, took excellent care of us. He even snapped selfies for us at the beginning and end of our meal. Several staff members came by to wish us a happy anniversary, and even some other patrons wished us a happy anniversary. Marcos was very attentive without being obtrusive. All I can say is that we will be returning and we won't wait a few years to do so!

Google
My birthday dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak was a huge success! The $121 Porterhouse for Two was cooked to perfection, and the $27 lobster mac and cheese was the perfect side dish. If you're looking for a special occasion restaurant, I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Was a Saturday evening, May 11th, and our service was very good all-around. But was disappointed in general especially since have actually been to the original in New Orleans, and have nice memories from then. The rib-eye was so-so, a bit overdone, the baked potato also so-so and somewhat cold, my filet mignon was good though. Was annoying to have another attendant retrieving supplies in cabinet behind our table as place set-up too cramped. Restaurant was clean and all just too overpriced for the level of the meal served. Can't really recommend to friends.

Yelp
Just endured the worst dining experience I have experienced in years. My son wanted to go to Ruth Chris for his 18th birthday, so we made a reservation for 13 at 7:30pm. I would like to point out that the food and service were equally bad so I do not want to give one less credit than the other. Our table had 2 servers who apparently did not talk to each other and could not be found when needed. To start, we ordered appetizers after about 30 minutes of waiting for bread. After the appetizers came and were consumed, we waited another hour to order the main courses. On a side note, the second waiter came in to remove our menus before we even ordered our steaks! The table continued to need drinks and have to ask to get dirty plates removed. The staff finally allowed us to order our steaks after asking a couple times. We sat at the table around 8pm and our steaks came around 10:00pm. The only steak cooked appropriately was the large filet ordered blue, the other 11 were all overcooked badly. 2 were so bad that they were inedible and had to be returned. I ordered the T-bone medium rare and received a medium-well, due to my extreme hunger I ate every bite of my mostly grey meat. I give this restaurant 1 star because the drinks and appetizers were tasty, but we were all starving so it could just be due to hunger. If you have eaten at a Ruth Chris in the pass, this is not the same. Quality and service are way below what is expected from this caliber of restaurant. Bottom line, if you want a good piece of meat with good service in the Gables, go to Flemmings or Morton's.

Yelp
The food was good, the drinks were refreshing and the restaurant was calm, and relaxing. We were greeted and attended as we walked in, welcomed and seated quickly. The place runs like clockwork, making sure all aspects of your visit are on point. The entire meal was lovely and just overall well done. Our hosts made sure we felt special and were serviced as such, much appreciated overall.

Yelp
We selected Ruth's chris to celebrate our anniversary and we absolutely loved it. To start off Danny the server is the man, extremely professional and made the experience amazing. He's taken care of me a few times already and always recommending us new appetizers to try out and they're always on point. We had the crab cakes, ravioli and lobster bisque for starters. Main course danny recommended the cowboy ribeye Medium with the lobster Mac, and it was scrumptious. My wife had the Ruth classic and ordered the filet medium with the large shrimp. We also had mashed potatoes and cremini mushrooms! It was all cooked perfectly and we definitely needed some boxes. Thank you for the wonderful experience danny and Ruth's chris for the consistency in your dishes.

Yelp
Overall a decent experience. The main dining room is very quiet and a little dim so it's a more formal setting. Our napkins were a little dusty and there were some fruit flies around but nothing too crazy. The food was good and the portions were large enough that we were able to share. Our waiter was very nice and attentive.

Yelp
This is a staple located in coral gables, it's a traditional style steakhouse with much more to offer. I love the food options from crab cakes to shrimp to fish, in case you don't feel like eating meat, they serve delicious complimentary bread. On this particular day I decided to order the lobster tail and mash potatoes, the lobster was perfect had so much taste and not chewy like in some places, the mash potatoes were soft and delicious. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone wanting to eat some fresh seafood or a good piece of meat. The service was also outstanding, the waitress was always around and she was very efficient and always had a smile on her face, the slow music they were playing made the ambience even better.

Yelp
Pros: *excellent food (steaks cooked to perfection) *excellent service *great variety of options on the menu *dessert was phenomenal (and free for your birthday) *street parking or valet available for $12 Cons: *I was not allowed to wear my nice hat in the dining room where we were seated -- it was a whole thing. You can wear hats and they don't care about dress code in the bar/lounge but if you're in the dining room, there's rules. Which I find a bit ridiculous. On top of that, the hostess didn't actually tell me this until we were walking over there when she could have mentioned it while we were waiting. Ended up having to speak to the manager and it was just a completely unnecessary situation for no reason at all. *not a fan of shareable sides (meal didn't come with any sides) *very pricy

Yelp
We celebrated a family birthday here the other night. We all ordered variations of their Miami Spice special. Service was friendly and helpful. I ordered the ceasar salad, New York Strip with garlic mashed potatoes, and mini cheesecake for dessert. The salad was good, a very generous portion, and they ground black pepper on at the table for those who wanted it. The steak was grilled perfectly, I ordered it at a medium rare; it was no joke when they said the plate was hot, because it continued to cook my steak as I cut it! It had great flavor, and was very satisfying. The mashed potatoes were OK, there were very stiff to the extent that they were almost dry and were lightly flavored - but I love garlic and think there's no such thing as to much, so that could just be me. We also ordered the lobster mac and cheese and sweet potatoes for the table. Both were spectacular. The sweet potatoes were comparable to candy. The lobster mac was very cheesy and had a generous amount of lobster on it. Probably my favorite part of the meal was the mini cheesecake. It was light and fluffy, as far as cheesecake is concerned, was a little sweet, but not overwhelmingly so, and the fruit served with it was the perfect compliment for this portion. An overall satisfying meal that was well presented. There were a few lags in service, which was likely a result of how busy the place was; which I view a a testament to the quality of they're food.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my dad's birthday. He had an amazing time. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
I would give 5 starts for food and 3 stars for service. Ambiance 4 stars. There is valet parking and there is street parking and a parking lot nearby. The food was incredible, very fresh and perfect temperature. Maybe our experience was unique to this night, but the orders took a while to come out after they were placed. Nevertheless, amazing, amazing food! It was a weird experience at the beginning because we arrived 20 minutes before our reservation, and we were seated 20 minutes after our reservation. While waiting, the hostess told us, "There was a mix-up with the tables, so now we are fixing your table" which led us to believe either that they gave our reservation to another party or that they didn't notice our reservation until we got there. They sat 10 people down in a round table that can comfortable sit down 6-7 people. We had to request to be changed to a more comfortable table where 10 people could enjoy their food. The manager took time to talk to us and solve our situation. She was very understanding and gave us complimentary champagne as we were celebrating my graduation. The waitress was amazing and very sweet and did her very best to serve our large party.

Yelp
Decided to take advantage of the miami spice menu and came with some girlfriends for dinner. It was a great starter to our night. We all got martinis which were delicious. The warm bread and butter were great and the menu for miami spice was perfectly curated with appetizer, entree and dessert. The servings are decent which makes great leftovers for the next day or family style at the restaurant. The waitress was awesome for her recommendations of drinks and different sides to share. Our table was located in the middle of the restaurant which made it great for people watching but not overly crowded. Overall we had a lovely time.

Yelp
Great evening and service provided by Hector. We met up with some old friends and had the Pairing special of 6oz filet w/shrimp and a glass of cabernet. It was fantastic and Hector was a super server. We sat at the bar which was cozy and Hector kept us always with superb service. The lemon drop martinis were amazing! Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Yelp
I had an incredible experience here for a dinner hosted by AWHONN (work-dinner function). There was a set menu which included raw appetizers, which I cannot consume due to health issues. The waiter named Jefferson was so accommodating, he brought out an appetizer that was fully cooked just for me (and it was DELICIOUS)! Absolutely great experience, would come back here again. My steak was juicy and cooked to perfection. The staff was dedicated and attentive. Atmosphere was clean and relaxing, great ambiance. 10/10 would come back again!

Yelp
We are regulars here. This is one of the best steakhouses in Miami! Shout out to our server Kaci who was so kind and attentive! The food is outstanding as usual.

Yelp
Your traditional American steakhouse with classic decoration and ambiance. The food is amazing and so it's the service. The chef recommendations (for which I appreciate the separate section in the menu) were amazing. The drinks are great as well, mostly the Manhattan, but I do prefer the wine. Although it's a steakhouse, the seafood was amazing and fresh, so I would recommend trying it. I would recommend it for a business meeting or family gathering, or even a low key date night.

Yelp
This was an amazing dinner! It was my birthday and the staff made every effort to make me feel special, writing me a card, decorating the table, bringing me a free dessert, and wishing me happy birthday as they passed by the table. Marcos was amazing and so kind and attentive beyond anything I've ever experienced! This was truly a fantastic meal and I am already dying to go back.

Yelp
Came to Ruth's Chris for a date night dinner and it did not disappoint. The service was absolutely amazing between the server and the managers who were also stopping by at the tables checking on all of the guests. To start we had fresh bread and then ordered the spicy shrimp which were lightly breaded and similar to a boom boom shrimp. They were amazing but a very small portion! Lots of wine options and a decent cocktail menu. I tried a glass of moscato (7/10 and a pomegranate martini 8.5/10) and for dinner I had a Petit filet with truffle crust & Oscar style. The truffle crust was good but underwhelming definitely needed more. The crab cake was not very good very fishy. The steak was good but not amazing. On the side I had garlic mashed potatoes which I enjoyed and sweet potato casserole which I was warned was very sweet and yes it was very sweet! But executed well.

Yelp
We came here because we enjoy a good steak and have long had Ruth's Chris on our list to patronize. When I saw an ad recently in my Instagram feed for a 3 course offering for $49, that was the encouragement we needed! We came here on a Monday night at around 9, and this place was fairly quiet aside from 2 other tables. One other party did arrive as we were finishing our entrees. This Ruth's Chris location is nice and has been here in Coral Gables for several years, but one can tell from the slightly dated decor that this restaurant isn't new, and may be nearing time for a bit of an update. Staff were all very friendly and outgoing, from the hostess and manager to our server and food runners. The $49 3 course special they're running is a solid value, but is much like the Miami Spice menu at several better-quality restaurants where the basic offering gives you an option of a few starters, a 6 ounce steak with choice of a "personal side" and a dessert of the chef's choosing. You can add things to your entree like shrimp or lobster for an additional price, you can order a larger steak if 6 ounces isn't filling enough and you can substitute the sides or dessert that are listed on the pre-fixe menu, each for an additional, but in my opinion reasonable, cost. I started with the caesar salad, I upgraded to the 11 ounce steak, had the mashed potatoes and we chose to order an additional side as we like sauteed mushrooms. For dessert, rather than the chef's selection I decided to upgrade there as well, and we ordered a bottle of wine to share. Everything we tried here was good, service was spot on and as previously mentioned, staff were attentive and friendly. Markups on the wine here are a bit high, but overall we came away satisfied. It was recently announced that Ruth's Chris would be purchased by Darden, the same company that has Yard House, Seasons 52, Olive Garden and a few other chain places. Maybe they'll upgrade the decor and furnishings here. Let's certainly hope Darden doesn't dilute the things that make Ruth's Chris worth patronizing, or drag down the quality at all.

Yelp
My family and I visited on Christmas Day for dinner. We had a 4:45pm reservation and was seated a few minutes after arriving. The restaurant has a pretty classic look but wasn't as upscale looking as I expected. Our server was excellent and ensured we had everything we needed. Even though the restaurant was quite busy he didn't make us feel rushed. The food was amazing. As appetizers we had the calamari and spicy shrimp. I had the King Salmon and Shrimp as my entree and OMG the salmon just melted in my mouth. We shared the garlic mash and creamed spinach and both were amazing. The kids also stated their food was good. My only reason for giving this 4 stars is because the kids menu stated a drink came with their meal but we were charged separately for their drinks.

Yelp
I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at Ruth's Chris. Service is great. Food is chefs kiss! And the rich ambience is amazing. Made the reservation and checked the box that it was my sis' bday and they had the table bday ready with a card attached upon arrival. I'll always return here!

Yelp
Loved my dinner experience here! Came for Thanksgiving dinner and they offered the regular menu, as well as a special Thanksgiving menu. The food, especially the steak was so good! Steak was tender, and flavorful. (I still dream about it!) The mac and cheese was a tad overdone, making the cheese hard at the top. Other than that, it was a lovely time! There's a pay-to-park right across the street, a very short walk to the entrance of the restaurant or you can valet park.
google avatar

Susan L.

Yelp
Spectacular food and service! The steak is served in a plate that is very hot and keeps your food at a perfect temperature throughout your meal. The servers were very polite and attentive. I would definitely recommend and come again.

Yelp
We made reservations for our anniversary on a Tuesday night. The service was wondrous by having provided us with decorative hearts at our table, a hand-written postcard by the staff, and a complimentary dessert of our choice. On our romantic evening, we picked the absolute best fried calamari anyone could ever dine on. The fried calamari were juicy and packed with flavor by them having sauteed it in sauce with an even coat of abundant seasoning. We will most-definitely go back just to have those perfect calamari mixed with sweet and sour sauce. As for the entree, we were expecting it to be as nice and as flavorful as the app was. We ordered the Petit Filet (medium-well) with a side of Potatoes Au Gratin, and the Bone-In New York Strip (medium-rare) with a side of French fries. The steaks had been perfectly cooked to the correct doneness with the perfect seasoning of salt and pepper to taste; however, they came with a bit too much butter for our taste. The butter was overpowering the natural juiciness from the steak. As for the presentation, they should improve the plating technique as a plate is the canvas, the chef is the artist, and the food is their medium. After having our main course, we indulged on a delicious cheesecake with a graham cracker rim. Overall, this restaurant is on the more expensive side since, the bill ended up being about $240 for a party of two. Every food item on the menu came with a price including the accompanying side dishes as well. To illustrate, our bill included the appetizer, two steak entrees, two side dishes, and beverages. We were taken by surprise as we didn't anticipate that the main courses (steaks) wouldn't come with included side dishes or any kind of garnish on the plate.

Yelp
My wife and I had a marvelous dinner at Ruths Chris restaurant in Sarasota. We both ordered off of the "classics" menu. Our steaks (hers with shrimp and mine with lobster tail) were perfectly prepared. Sides were phenomenal. Also, service was welcoming, friendly and professional. Diane, our server was lovely, discreet, knowledgeable and a real pro. Great evening. Thank you.

Yelp
Service=5 Food= 4-5 Prices= 3-4 Ambiance= 5 Location= 5 I'm torn between giving this place 4 stars or 5 stars. In the end I give them 5 for several reasons. Number one being the service. There's nowhere else you could go where they will treat you better. Our waiter, Giovanni, was amazing! He was attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and yet very personable. I couldn't have asked for a better server. The second reason is the entire experience- the restaurant is clean, updated, elegant, comfortable, and has a great ambiance to it. We sat by the window and had a nice view of the older architecture in Coral Gables. From the moment we walked in, the hostess, bussers, and all staff were welcoming and accommodating. The experience itself was incredibly enjoyable. The location is also great. It's in a great area where there are a lot of places to walk around and see. The food is really 4-5 stars. I'm not sure if the high prices make me feel this way. But, I can't get over a petit filet and 4 shrimp being $50, with NO sides. To pay $15 for a side potato, or $15 for a side vegetable, really makes your meal $70. For that, I don't feel like there's any possible way that the steak is that much better than any other steakhouse that charges $40 for the steak, including the side dishes. You're really paying for the service at this point. To continue with the food, I got the garlic crusted sea bass. My husband got the petit filet with 4 shrimp. We shared a side of au gratin potatoes and a side of the porcini mushrooms. I had a glass of Sauvignon blanc. My husband tried the RC version of a Moscow mule. Both were very good. The sea bass was as good as I've had other places. Just as good as P.F. Chang's. Not as good as Atlantis in the Bahamas. I tried a bite of my husband's steak. It was good. Nothing amazing. Better than Outback, but not better than Morty's or Fleming's. Just as good. The mushrooms were a big hit! Absolutely delicious! The potatoes were good. We didn't order any appetizers because we didn't want to fill up before our meals. We were full afterwards and didn't have any room for dessert. Altogether our bill was $187 before tip. We left our server a $50 tip because he was the best part of the evening. I would go to any restaurant he worked at. I recommend this place for a special occasion, but to me the food does not justify the prices. I would go back if it was on the company card.

Laura D.

Yelp
Wow! My husband and I just finished having dinner and we were blown away. All of the food was delicious and served hot just the way it should be. Seneca our server was helpful and super friendly as were all of the staff. Francisco the manager came to check on us a few times and you can tell he takes great pride in the restaurant. We ordered cowboy ribeyes, brussels sprouts, loaded baked potato, Caesar salad and wedge salad. All of it delicious! We finished off with a flourless chocolate cake and espressos. Since we were celebrating a special occasion, Seneca and Francisco made sure to acknowledge that and make us feel celebrated. Thank you Francisco and Ruth Chris family for a memorable evening.

Yelp
Classic staple. Filet was seasoned with a lot of pepper and cooked perfect! Their creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes were delicious! For dessert we had the chocolate cake! Such a beautiful steakhouse

Yelp
First time eating at the establishment. I've heard great things about this place and decided to make reservations for Christmas dinner. I originally wanted to make reservations at the Aventura location but they were booked. This location had a table for my large party(8 then went down to 6 ppl), for 4:45. A few days before the reservation the restaurant called to confirm the reservation. We arrived exactly at 4:45 and was able to find parking across the street. We waited no more than five minutes to be seated at our table. Our waiter was great and attentive. For appetizers we had the calamari and spicy shrimp. Both were really good, I loved the sauce on the calamari. For dinner I had lamb chops, which was amazing. Well seasoned, flavorful, and tender. I also ordered the creamy spinach and baked potato. You can share sides with others at the table because they are large. I did have a drink, the Nola Mule. Overall, our dinner was enjoyable and great. The restaurant would be pricey if you eat steak. My family don't eat steak, so our bill wasn't high(360 for 6 ppl). Also, there's a kids menu priced at 17 dollars.

Yelp
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Coral Gables really made me feel special for my birthday. They went far and beyond, assuring I was having a great time. Thank you Rob for your service! Food came out hot and sizzling and the Manager, Elisia, stopped by to wish me a happy birthday and to see if the steaks were cooked to our liking. They even gave me a cute birthday card! If you're looking for a place to celebrate a birthday or an anniversary, THIS IS THE PLACE!

Yelp
The restaurant is clean, the aesthetic are intimate. The food was good, not mind blowing but good. We had reservations so we were seating fairly quick. I didn't vallet so there was a bit of a walk across the street to the restaurant. I would recommend for a nice date night not really a birthday though.

Yelp
Frequent diner here. Ordered a steak which I was not in love with. Julia the manager came by asked me what was wrong. Immediately made it right x10 Reminded me why I'm a Ruth Chris fan. Amazing staff and amazing Management. Thank you Julia. PS. I wrote this review while in the restaurant. Too often I forget. Wanted to make sure I didn't forget.

Yelp
Best filet mignon you can get in Miami. The 500 degree plate makes the difference, highly recommend it. Oh yeah, did I mention Michael Jordan once cut me off looking for parking here? ;)

Yelp
We did a reservation for a party of 16, had to sign a "contract" that we would spend $1400 to include a 22% server tip. We ended up spending $1700 + with HORRIBLE service. We weren't allowed to have them sing happy birthday even though we were in a private room. Food was cold, overcooked & yet the server was very abrupt & rude. When we would ask for water we were pointed to the end of the tables showing us carafe of water even though they were so far apart from each side. We asked if we could turn on the TV located in our private room and were met with No, that's only for meeting purposes. We asked if the live band could sing happy birthday as it had been done in the past when we were not in a private room, and were told no we cannot do that. I contacted the events manager who did the "contract" for our party to advise of the HORRIBLE service we received and expressed that the service we received did not even merit an 18% tip... not sure how this was addressed, but please ensure if you book this place for a large party- DO NOT AGREE TO A 22% tip unless it is deserved with good service! Or my sincere advice, save yourself the money & go elsewhere!

Yelp
Review on Yelp: The service was horrible, our reservation was 6:30pm and we did not leave until 9:30pm! We were celebrating my husband's birthday, there were 5 of us. The bread and butter was excellent along the first course meal, then it went down hill from there! The steaks were over cooked, almost crispy in certain places, cold, and the food of one of the family members came 25 minutes later ( because the waiter punched in the wrong entrée,) the food came after the sides were cold and the others family members were almost finished with their meals! When the manager came out with the late entrée he should have said this will be on us, but he did not, just sorry and the plate is hot! Then the waiter told us that the dessert was on them, and an hour and half later they brought out the desserts that were beautiful and very good! When the bill came they charged us for the dessert that we were not going to order because we had bought a delicious cake for my husband's birthday. So of course we were not happy, with service, food, and treatment! When you go to a restaurant like this you go to be served to be treated with the outmost respect! This is an experience that did not happen after all the mistakes after mistakes! The ambience would've been much better if the experience would've been there! If I could rate my experience it would be a "ZERO Star "but the lowest is 1 Star, so Ruth Chris of Coral Gables is getting 1 Star!

Yelp
Decided to check out a classic steak house for Father's Day. The place is obviously dated and the ambiance is like upscale Outback Steakhouse. The service was attentive and frequent. The food was prepared well and everything tasted good (except the bread). The biggest knock I have about the food was the prices. It seems like everything is expensive these days but we just felt the price point was a bit too high.

Yelp
All i have to say is wow! To feel so special on our anniversary was an understatement. The food was phenomenal. We got the the Ruth's Course meal with the sirloin and the cheesy potatoes which were filled with so much flavor. The New York Strip was so soft and honestly, having it cooked medium was the best temperature. We got the asparagus but a little too pricey for just asparagus but you do get what you pay for which is better for us. The service was impeccable. To our hostess who walked us to our table, the servers, the manager, and the ambiance. What an amazing night to spend our four year anniversary. 100% recommend

Yelp
Food is impeccably served. I was at a business dinner, so it was not too attuned to details. That's what makes it so nice to go there. You can concentrate on what you were doing and not have to be waving and pleading to be served. It's not an expensive, but in life, you get what you pay for. I will be back.

Yelp
Love coming here, whenever the family gets together and we're all in town, we typically come here for dinner. Everything is amazing, the sides are great and if you're not in the mood for red meat, the seafood options are always impressive too. The hostess was incredible rude and unpleasant. Not just with our party, I noticed it with either parties too while we waited a few minutes to get seated. Not an idea/welcoming experience but everything else is great as per usual. Valet is available right up front too!!

Yelp
So disappointing- we have been customers for many years but will not go back. Our " fine dining" experience started with a laminated menu and went downhill from there. The salad was dripping with dressing, my lamb chops (the special) were over cooked so I sent them back and waited a half hour for replacement. Those weren't very good either. The diners at the next table sent their tomahawk back (at a steak house!) The service was okay but not what I expected. Overpriced and (very) underwhelming.

Yelp
We visited Ruth's Chris Steakhouse with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. We informed the restaurant in advance about our special occasion, but unfortunately, they didn't make any effort. The restaurant we typically go to in Phoenix must be the only one that goes above and beyond for these types of occasions. But we were out of town so that may be why. Moreover, we were seated in a loud and busy area near the kitchen and what seemed like the staff hangout area, which didn't provide the intimate and special dining experience we were hoping for. The constant noise and staff conversations made it hard for us to enjoy our meal fully. Although the food was good, we decided not to order a bottle of wine due to the less-than-ideal table placement. It was a disappointing experience, especially since we were hoping to celebrate our special occasion in a memorable way. Overall, I would rate my experience at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse a 3 out of 5. While the food was good, the lack of attention to detail and poor table placement detracted from our overall experience.

Yelp
I had the most amazing meal at Ruth's in Coral Gables. On occasion it is a treat I go to, for special days. They went above and beyond to make my day special. Elisia, the manager, brought me a decorative dessert, checked on me and congratulated me on my day. James the server was flawless. He always anticipated what I would need and constantly kept the table clean. The service was the star of the show but the food was incredible as well. I had the softest New York strip i had ever had. Full of flavor but not too salty. The ambience was dark and comfortable, providing an intimate experience.

Yelp
Spectacularly fabulous! Last night we celebrated a birthday here and the entire evening was perfect. We have been to Ruth's Chris for happy hour (great steak sandwiches and spicy shrimp) and of course... for dinner but, for some reason, last night was the best ever! Was it because of the remarkable manager, Julia? Or, the incredibly attentive waiter, Marco? The crab stuffed mushrooms were delicious, as ever. My husbands filet with shrimp was tender and yummy. My petite filet was a perfect medium and the blue cheese crust elevated it to a whole new taste sensation! The mashed potatoes were creamy and light... the creamed spinach just right. The best crème brûlée we'd ever had anywhere! And to prove that my cappuccino was decaf, Marco brought the expended capsule of Lavazza... my favorite brand of coffee. My husband and I used to frequent capital grille... but their food quality had gone down last time. We will now be exclusive to Ruth's Chris. Many thanks to the team that made our night spectacularly fabulous!

Yelp
Kudos to Jefferson for the impeccable service he offered us. It had been a very long time since we received such service- not even at the Breakers or Capital Grill have we received such overall excellence. He was attentive to every need-we didn't need to ask for anything. Perfect dining experience. Food was excellent- hot, fresh, came out in perfect rhythm. Shoutout to Michael!! The entire staff was fantastic. Thank you!!!!

Yelp
Ambiance is nice. Staff opened the door. The service was impeccable. I dined in the bar area & Robert was my server & bar tender. Hands down the best. He was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, fast service & made the best drinks hands down. He served all 4-5 tables at one time & we still received excellent service to include being patient. I truly appreciate him & I miss this type of service. Employees like him don't exist anymore. I ordered the spicy shrimp, crab cakes, lemon drop martinis, the steak sandwich & the bread pudding. Everything came out hot, well seasoned & in a timely manner. I dined for happy hour. Which my friends knew nothing about & they Loved the service by Robert. I have no complaints.
